Oh my gosh. I have had so much work to do lately I nearly forgot all about this. I've barely had time to sleep, so this was in the writing process for many more days than usual. Also the story is going to get more plot-y but it will still go on a constant amount of divergents as usual. I will try to limit the number of filler-ish chapter though from here on out. Also, starting here, I have to go into stuff that's beyond what is canon and into what is just theory in DGM. If only Hoshino would update.

This chapter is dedicated to no one in particular as it just worked out that way in the end. The next chapter will reveal the next highest voting number.

Also, two new OCs are going to come into this, but they are just necessary hospital staff and were very fun to write.

New Warning: Yuri implications but it's all about interpretation. None explicit.

Allen clenched his hand waiting in the cushioned chair outside of the main operation room. He had gotten there a bit too early he was due for the maze procedure at ten o'clock and had arrived there at nine forty-five. His heart was pounding in a way that he was familiar with, but in a much different way. It wasn't the usual sickly tired feeling that he got when his condition acted up, but an unsteady forceful pumping that comes with anxiety. Neah sat to the left of Allen with his hand on his nephew's shoulder.

He heard the door open and looked to see his friends come in. Kanda and Tamaki were practically wrestling each other at the front, Hikaru and Kaoru were cheering the two on, and Mori, Hunny, Haruhi, and Kyōya, otherwise known as the four semi-sane ones were calmly walking in behind them. Allen brightened up a bit but still looked nervous.

"Oh, Allen, I'm so glad that we didn't miss you!" Tamaki ran to the younger boy giving him a very tight hug, leaving behind an angry Kanda. Neah looked on, amused, and decided to watch the show.

"He isn't going to be in for another fifteen minutes, Tamaki, and doctors tend to be late, even my family's," Kyōya said adjusting his glasses. Suddenly Allen's stomach let out a huge rumble and he flushed red. All eyes were on him.

"Well, you know I can't eat until after the surgery...But I'm starving!" Comical tears ran down his face. "I did everything I could to convince Uncle to let me eat something, but he wouldn't budge." Kanda looked a little skeptical.

"You seriously tried everything? Most of the time when you want something you just look at them and they'll roll over." Allen nodded, holding his empty stomach. The hosts looked confused at this revelation.

Hikaru spoke up. "You are talking about our Allen, right? He doesn't have a manipulative bone in his body."

"The fact that Kanda and my nephew are in a relationship is proof that he does," Neah punctuated it with a light laugh.

Kaoru then said, "Then why haven't we experienced this ourselves?" Allen suddenly found the floor very interesting. Everyone was once again staring at him. Then he looked up at them with watery eyes and an innocent expression.

"Guys, you don't really think I'm manipulative, do you?" Allen said quietly. No one had a proper answer to that.

"We were completely defenseless against his power."

"So what exactly is this surgery?" Neah asked the doctor with a serious expression on his face. Allen was sitting on the patient's chair in the same room.

"Basically, through an incision on the chest," he brought out a model of the heart, "we'll be making small incisions and creating scar tissue to redirect the electrical impulses that are causing the irregular heart beat." He had gestured to where theses cuts would be made throughout. "This should permanently fix the problem. I will have to inform you of another situation that has come up. On a recent ultrasound that we did on Allen's heart, we found a severe weakening in a specific area in the tissue that seems progressive. I can't say that I've ever seen anything quite like this before. It's almost as if something is eating away at it, but his blood tests turned up just fine. I'm afraid that much more immediate problems would come up if we don't fix this.

"I am playing it by ear, but at the rate it's going the best decision would be to try and patch it where it's the worst as well as try to replace some of this tissue using a fairly new thing called stem cells that has gone through a lot of testing in the West. It's because of this that I'm suggesting an open heart surgery so we can address all of these problems at once. The surgery as a whole should take about five hours but that's only a very rough estimate."

Neah nodded, "So then when will the surgery be."

Kanda had sat on the other side of Allen holding his hand while looking away disinterestedly. Quiet chatter had arose among the group of teens and one adult.

"Walker-san." Allen got up to go to the nurse who had called his name. Neah had gotten up as well to follow him in as the boy's guardian. The teen turned back to his friends and tried to say something but only ended up stuttering out nonsense. Hikaru saved him.

"We'll see you in a few hours Allen."

Kaoru added with a grin, "We'll make sure to get you a feast too!"

"I think that the rabbit and Lenalee will be here by the time you wake up too. Maybe then you won't be so gloomy." Allen smiled at this.

"Then, I'll see you all later." He walked away.

Allen was lead into a private room by a nurse. She looked to be about Neah's age and had a sour expression. The woman handed him a plastic bracelet to put on. She guided him to sit down on the patient's cot and brought out a clipboard before skimming across it's contents. She recorded his height, weighed him, took his heart rate, and blood pressure before saying much more then a quick hello.

"I'll need to ask you a few questions before we can get going, Walker-san. You're here for a maze procedure to treat a severe arrhythmia, correct?" He nodded and she scribbled something down.

"How old are you?"

"Fifteen, I'll be turning sixteen in December." She lightly nodded at the corresponding information.

"Any allergies at all?"

"None to speak of."

"How long have you had this condition?"

"I'm not sure. I really don't remember a time when I haven't had it."

"How long have you been on medication?"

"Since I was about ten."

"When was the last time that you ate or drank anything?"

"Last night around eleven." His stomach rumbled lightly as if to prove his statement.

"Finally, have you been sick recently?"

"I had a cold about a week ago, but I'm just fine now." The nurse nodded again and wrote the last of her most likely unreadable information.

"And I'm guessing that you're his guardian?"

Neah said with a smile, "Yes, I am. I'll be able to stay with him until he's wheeled out, correct?"

"Yes. Usually I would have a few more procedures, but thanks to your doctor this will take half of the time it usually does. I'll bring over the anesthesiologist." She left not meeting their eyes as if she knew that today was going to be busy already.

The person who came in a few minutes later was much different then the lady before. Although she looked to be about the same age she seemed much brighter. The anesthesiologist gave of a friendly vibe that seemed to make those around her very comfortable. She could probably make someone feel at home in a foreign country. She also had a clipboard but barely glanced at it before sitting down in front of the nephew and uncle that was in front of her. She held out her left hand for the young boy to shake.

"Hello Walker-kun. I'm Yui Watanabe and I'll be your anesthesiologist." She then shook Neah's hand as well. "If either of you have any questions about the procedure, or the doctors you can just ask me."

"I had actually gotten to meet Allen's surgeon earlier. How would you say he is skill wise?" Neah asked.

"He's a very trustworthy doctor. I've worked with him many times before. I had heard that you had gotten to him on the combined recommendations of Kyōya Ootori and you're own personal doctor."

"Yes, uh how did you..."

"Know that? I'm the anesthesiologist, I know everything. Those two are very reliable sources. You couldn't have picked a better route, really." She turned to Allen then. "As for you, have you ever seen medical dramas or shows like ER?"

"A little with my friends. I don't watch much TV." She nodded.

"Well, those guys don't really go into much detail about what happens when you go into a scheduled surgery like this. Trust me, the process is much more painstakingly long then it is when you go into emergency surgery, which I saw that you unfortunately had to have once for rather grim reasons." Allen glanced down for a brief second. "You'll see many more doctors and nurses at once then you ever would have wanted too unless you're a medical student. You'll have to change into those awkward hospital gowns and well as be shaved around you're chest area, but I have a feeling that you don't have much more then peach fuzz at this point." The boy blushed. "You also have to remove all jewelry as well as makeup, and I know you rich boys wear concealer sometimes. Other then that, just know that when you're put under, you won't make it past ninety-seven on the count down."

The two listening took in all the information, and for one of them it was new information.

"The nurse that's going to be prepping you should be here any..." The same nurse from before came in, "moment." The doctor in front of them seemed to brighten even more. "Walker-kun, you didn't tell me that you had Haruka-chan as your nurse." Said nurse became even more grumpy looking at hearing this.

"I've told you this hundreds of times. It's just unprofessional to call me by my given name like that. Is Sasaki that hard to remember?"

"It's not hard to remember. So let's get on with the procedure." The nurse newly dubbed as Sasaki handed Allen the hospital gown that he would need to change into.

"You can change behind the curtain in that corner." The grumpier-by-the-minute nurse pointed to the far left corner of the room before going down to get the tools she would need. The other woman got out her own tools as well. By the time Allen had caught a glimpse of what was being brought out he had closed the curtain and began disrobing.

First came off his two gloves. Sure he was much more comfortable around his friends with his arm, but it wouldn't do to walk around with it exposed to the world. If the press were to even get a glimmer of a hint on what might be under his gloves, then the tabloids would be after his family much more than usual, and that would be saying something. He knew he could at least trust the doctors though.

Next came off his shirt. He was just wearing a simple long sleeved T-shirt that could be put on just as easily as it could be taken off. His arms were rather skinny. He had a flat stomach that came from metabolism and not as much exercise. It was another thing that was different between him and the him who wasn't him. The other had a body defined and toned by years of hardship and restless battle and struggle as well as constant fitness and sparring. He had the body of a rich boy who had never even felt what it was like to do much more than walk to school or maybe do a small jog. He wasn't ashamed of his body, but it was one more thing that made him even more indecisive about how his position should be on the other Allen.

Of course, next came of his sweat pants as well as boxers and shoes, but we won't go into those details.

With only a mild struggle, he had managed put on the teal hospital gown that tied in the front. By then an IV as well as cleaning and shaving instruments were ready by the two practitioners. Neither of them really reacted to seeing his arm, but the sour nurse did seem to have more wandering eyes then the other. Allen saw that she was trying hard though, and thought nothing of it. Neah who had stayed hidden from his adorrrrrrable~ nephew had seemingly popped out of nowhere and had taken a surprise photo of Allen. He then with the click of a few buttons sent it to everyone on his contacts list. The british boy growled a bit and narrowed his eyes at his uncle but quickly let it go in favor of getting the procedure over with. The doctor had handed him one more thing before he was lied down in the rolling hospital bed. It was cap for his hair. He put it on and stuffed as many of his white locks in as he could. The top bed was raised so he could comfortably sit up (more or less) the nurse then undid the chest area of his gown and brought out the razor and shaving cream. Just as Watanabe-sensei had said, it was just peach fuzz. Another nurse had come in while Allen was changing and propped the door open. He knew that he was going in soon, and he was still incredibly nervous. Before he had time to contemplate any more, the bed was lowered and the wheels were unlocked. He was going to be rolled in.

"I'll see you in a few hours, Allen." Neah waved to his nephew with a reassuring smile on his face, much different from his usual mischievous one. Allen replied weakly back but when he did his uncle's smile only deepened.

He was then wheeled out of the room and caught one more glance at his closest remaining family's retreating face.

They passed only a few other doors from the fairly small facility and had arrived quickly at the operating theater. Allen audibly gulped. He was brought on a much more narrow operating table that was fairly cold. Several stickers and devices were attached to him making him only feel more uncomfortable especially with the gazes of several doctors that didn't speak much to him and that he didn't know on him. A blanket was placed on him and he felt a bit more comfort from the cold but not much. He then saw the anesthesiologist and felt a bit more relief. She had the gas mask in her hands. This was really happening. She hovered it above his face.

"I'll need you to count backwards from a hundred, Allen-kun."

He began.

One hundred.

Ninety-nine.

Ninety-eight.

Ninety-seven.

Ninety-s...

"How long will he be in there?" Kanda asked no one in particular.

"An open hearted maze procedure should take about three to four hours." Of course Kyōya answered knowing goddamn everything.

"Make that four to five." Neah had arrived from the main part of the building and back to their waiting room. "The doctors have a few more problems to look after judging from a new ultrasound. Nothing that you need to worry your pretty little head on though, Kanda." The long haired teen gave the man a look that said "wanna die?".

"Either way it'll be a while. We might as well do something," Neah continued. "Everyone, send your drivers home, I'll be taking you all somewhere today." The teens seemed either pleased or passive about the idea and a few of them brought out their phones to text whoever they had to. In no time they were out of the building and off to wherever Neah had planned.

A burst of red had slammed open the door of the briefly quiet facility and had rushed to the nearest person who looked like they worked there.

"Has Allen Walker gone through here yet?" the red haired teen asked in perfect Japanese. The nurse checked her files.

"Yes, he just went under for surgery a few minutes ago and a group that I think were his friends left as well."

"Dammit we were too late!" the teen slammed his fist on the counter. Suddenly a girl with short black hair came rushing through as well.

"Slow down Lavi. If I can't keep up with you, you know you're going too fast." She said this however in English.

"We missed him Lenalee. When is he supposed to be out?"

"The surgery should be over in five hours." The green eyed boy groaned loudly at this.

Lenalee then asked in nearly perfect Japanese, "Did they say where they were going?"

"Not that I'm aware of. They said that they were going to the same place though. The older one with the wavy black hair had something planned, I think."

Lavi suddenly got an idea that could be seen plainly on his face. "Perfect, there are only a few places that they could be at this time of the day. Lenalee, we're going Yuu hunting."

When a limo drove right up to the park the group of teens weren't quite sure what they were going to do. Each one of them had thought up their own mini theories on where they would be going, and this just wasn't one of them. They had parked just on the outskirts of the large area and had ventured into the green place. After having walked a little ways Neah had picked the largest Sakura tree in the area and sat right underneath it. Of course there were no petals at this time of the year, but the tree was still magnificent in all of its half bare glory.

"So boys, our first order of business, find a way to cheer Allen up after the procedure."

Haruhi then said, "Oh, I get it. Since he'll be sort of depressed and out of it for a while, it's best to make sure that we have something to get his spirits up immediately."

"What a wonderful idea, Walker-san!" Tamaki beamed already well into it.

Kanda offered, "The little idiot will want to get up immediately, so we'll need something that can keep him from straining himself until he's healed more."

"I'm sure that a loving word from his family will do him good," Kyōya supplied. "He's rather close to both his grandfather and some of his cousins, if I remember correctly." Neah nodded.

"We could help him out with his look too. His hair has gotten a bit out of control lately, and we've had something prepared for him ever since we laid eyes on him," Kaoru stated.

"I myself have been working on a nice ensemble for a few days though I was going to wait until his birthday," Hikaru added.

"And I believe that you two," the adult motioned towards the two cousins, "were planning on getting him sweets, right."

"Yep, all kinds and especially the Dango that Allen-chan likes so much."

"Then I think that we're already done here. Wait, I almost forgot." Neah brought out his phone and stared at the clock, not yet unlocking it.

The group heard from a distance, "Quick, before they leave!" Kanda's face suddenly turned incredibly sour and he wondered why he didn't take off when he had the chance. He knew then that it was truly too late when he saw that annoying idiotic rabbit and oh god he's coming closer why did I leave Mugen in my room? Lavi had then latched himself directly on to Kanda getting far to into his personal space. Lenalee also jogged over but was far less violent about it and instead preferred to greet the group like a normal person.

"We're so glad we found you all. I'm Lenalee Lee from the Black Order Academy and this is Lavi Bookman. We came to visit Allen but it turned out that we were too late."

"It's a pleasure to meet you Lee-san," Kyōya said with a charming smile. Lavi wasn't amused. Kanda also wasn't amused, but less angry.

"Well, Lena-lady said it all. It's a pleasure to meet you!" Lavi shook the black haired teen's hand a bit too hard and the Ootori boy silently suffered the Bookman's wrath. Lenalee herself appeared awkwardly nervous at the scene that unfolded but did nothing other than laugh a little.

"Well, now that you all know each other, why don't we all see if we can't acquire those gifts by noon. We already have three down, and only four more to go."

"Oi, crappy uncle. I get two of the three being the calls from those even crappier cousins of his and the idiot and Lenalee, but what the hell is the third one?"

"Oh, Kanda, you can be so dense sometimes. It's you of course!"

Neah had to run to their vehicle in order to avoid being ripped to shreds by Kanda's bear hands due to his own awkward embarrassment.

"Sweets, check!"

"I was able to get Timcanpy approved by the hospital to visit him."

"His closet already has every outfit that he'll wear all the way to his birthday in it."

"And this, ladies and gentlemen will be his new look." Hikaru grabbed the sketch pad in between both him and his brother and held it up for the table to see.

"It looks amazing!" Lenalee said in awe.

Neah smiled, "He'll look even cuter, if that's possible."

Kanda looked at it with a falsely critical eye. "I know that the face is the same, but it looks...prettier."

"Mostly it's just manipulation of his hair. We change how it frames his face, and it suddenly looks like he has a new one. This is how it will look right after the cut, but give it a few months and it will grow out a bit. It should look about like this." They flipped the page.

"...can a guy even get that pretty?" Kanda was a little busy day dreaming on how his Moyashi would look in person like that. He might just have to consult the twins again after a little longer. For once him and Neah were thinking the same thing.

They were all sat down at the simple ramen shop and had ordered their meals a only a few moments ago. Everything was ready for when Allen would be out of surgery in three hours and awake in another three after that. A lanky lady was brining over their drinks at the moment. She had wavy brown hair brought back in a low pony tail, but that did nothing to keep the obviously rebellious strands out of her face and into her heavily dark circled eyes. Her hands had several bandages on them and she appeared to be European. Neah was going to ask her if she was okay until she slipped on air falling all the way to the ground breaking things in the process. Lavi gave both Lenalee and Kanda a look that the only they would understand though Neah was plenty in on it as well.

The lady violently flinched when the loud voice of the manager was heard from the back. When she went back there and returned without her uniform with tears in her eyes as she walked out, it was very safe to say that she was fired. Before she leaved however Lenalee had made a move and grabbed her wrist.

She said in English, "Miss Lotto, is it okay if I can talk to you for a second?" The lady nodded puzzled but a little shocked when she got a good look of the girl's face in front of her. Lenalee sat the clumsy woman down at a table for two away from the main group.

"This may sound silly," Miranda said, "but I think I've seen you before. It was in a dream. But it's not like I'm trying to be perverted! I mean I don't even-! Gosh I bet you think I'm crazy. I can just be so useless."

"Miranda! It's okay. This might be a lot to take in for one afternoon, but what you saw in those dreams aren't exactly normal, and I can promise you that everyone you met there knows you here even if they've never seen you."

"I'm a little confused..."

"I guess it's hard to explain since I don't really understand it myself. But all you need to know is that you're not alone, and while we're not quite sure exactly what these dreams are, they are not just dreams. If you want to know more and get another job, I'll need you to trust me." Miranda dumbly nodded.

"You'll need to take a flight a long ways to England and make it to the Black Order Academy. Meet up with my brother, Komui Lee and you will be a huge help."

"B-but how am I supposed to pay for that?!" The German woman was freaking out again.

"My family will take care of everything. Just give me your email," the younger girl handed Miranda her phone to type it out, "and start packing as soon as you get home. We'll take care of the rest."

"I'm completely insane for going through with this aren't I?"

"You wouldn't be the first." Miranda typed in her email and left the restaurant for home after giving Lenalee a hug.

"I just hope that I made the right decision by getting you involved, Miranda." The girl said this as the older woman was already out the door and out of earshot.

"We'd get into too much trouble with some of the guys at the Order if we didn't and so would she. You know that." Lavi said reassuringly. "Besides, this is just a theory, but maybe her presence there could help the time line correct itself. With how random some corresponding events are happening lately a little consistency would be appreciated." He left out, "Assuming that we don't regret it later."

The group hadn't done much other than hang around the hospital that Allen was currently at since then. They felt too guilty to do something like see a movie or go out. The only thing they did other than just chatting, messing with each other at random times, or doing different things on their phones was play video games at Tamaki's house. For a group of teens that were actually normal, this would not be a problem, but the fact that the host club hadn't had some huge life-lesson-esque adventure with them being only mildly supervised on a Saturday was worrying. Even Renge had made few appearances that day and most of them were rather sober and just so not her. It was already four thirty and nothing of hilariously romantic substance had happened with the Host Club.

When a doctor came emerging from the recovery room all twenty-one eyes were on him.

"He's waking up from the Anesthetic as we speak. I'd say that about three or four of you should be able to go in. You should decide soon if you want to be in there when he wakes up. You'll only get thirty minutes, though." The eleven then turned to each other.

"Well, it's fairly easy to say who," Tamaki began. He turned to Neah and the two new comers as well as Kanda. "It should be you guys. You seem to be much closer, and we'll be fine as long as we know that he's healthy." All the Hosts seemed to agree on this.

"You'll get to see him tomorrow. The seven of you have grown on him a lot and it seems to be mutual as well," Neah reasoned.

"I guess that's just a talent of his," Kaoru added. The seven then began to leave each with their own goodbyes or thank-yous that were typical to them. Tamaki gave his winning smile to the four that would remain and waved as he began to leave. Haruhi gave her new found girl friend that seemed relatively normal a hug and left getting a ride from Tamaki. Kyōya gave a polite goodbye before shaking Neah's hand and leaving by himself. Hunny hugged each of them with great enthusiasm and left with of course Mori who gave a polite bow without saying a word. The twins slipped in one more mischievous joke before leaving arms linked. The four were then alone together and half rushed into the room almost climbing over each other. The youngest one in the room had more machines attached to him then they thought possible with an IV needle in the back of his hand. He was still clad in the hospital gown, but the annoying cap was taken off of his head at least. There was a tube in his nose and his eyes were opened, but cloudy. You could also see the bandages on his chest. He looked like an angel that had fallen from heaven and onto the hard ground.

"Hey Allen. How are you feeling?" the boy's uncle asked endearingly in English.

"M' fine. Sore."

"That's just perfectly normal. We'll be here right by your side. Look Lenalee and Lavi are here too." Allen's eyes brightened a bit as the two got in sight.

"Then we got out of the ark safely?"

"That was a dream. You're here at the hospital and your heart operation just ended an hour ago." Allen nodded a bit but still didn't look anymore aware.

"Where's BaKanda?"

"Right here, Moyashi."

"Name's Allen," the boy said with as much force as he could muster (which wasn't much at all).

"I know it is, Moyashi."

"Where are the Hosts?"

"They left. The doctor only wanted a few of us to visit. They'll be here tomorrow when you wake up, though," Lavi supplied.

"Good, they're really nice." Allen then took a good look at Lenalee and his eyes widened and became a bit more aware.

"Lenalee, what happened to your hair?"

"A Halloween prank gone wrong. It's fine. It'll grow back." Allen still looked solemn at the loss.

"I saw that the other Lenalee lost her hair too after battling an akuma. She said something similar."

The girl blinked her large purple eyes. "Really? Figures."

"Yeah. I guess it makes sense. I'm sleepy. If I fall asleep will you guys still stay here?" Allen's eyes were beginning to flutter shut.

Lavi answered with a smile, "As long as we can, sprout."

"Thanks..." Allen was then fast asleep.

OMG SO MUCH FUN! I spent a few days on this and hope that you enjoy the extra effort and words. Did you enjoy it? Hate it? Indifferent? Click that review button and tell me! Also, if any of you picked up on the foreshadowing from the first chapter with the dreams, then bless your face. In the next chapter we'll see some of the Hosts visit our delicate recovering Allen-kun as well as what Miranda will experience on her way too, as well as in England.

Also: I AM SUCH A HORRIBLE PERSON. I FRACKING PUT 21 EYES! LAVI! 21!

Let's see, anything else that I'm missing?

Oh yeah, I researched the heck out of this chapter to get as much accurate medical crap as possible. If you have any questions or I have a plot hole that you spotted, please tell me! I promise I will answer somehow in due time.

The SNK fandom has been influencing me too much lately...

Have a good day! (Lol. I ran out of language so here is good bye in polite).
