Well.. here you go guys. Next chapter. I think I have an idea where this is going to go from here on in now and i'm fair excited for it. :) Enjoy.
There was a silence in the room for what seemed like an eternity and I did not know what to think. Ulfric stood, quietly breathing heavily as he realised the truth of what was happening. Thorin was the first to speak and break the tension.
"We have to do something about this..." I interrupted him. Not taking care to step around things anymore.
"How?! How in the name of Mahal can we do something about this? They are tattoos! Impossible to remove. Tell me Thorin, how can we sort this out? You know what happened last time this was recorded."
"Wait.." Ulfric said from behind me.
"What?"
"We don't know for sure whether this is what you think it is. The records for the tale are not proven to be true or false but they were different than our situation as each person involved had a mark over their heart, whereas yours, Aeyai is on your face." He stopped and looked down in thought.
"You are right. Aeyai, we all know the outcome in the stories, however we are not them. Ulfric.." He looked towards said man, who looked up immediately. "Do you have the records here in Skyrim?" he asked.
"Aye, we do."
"Show us them. Then we might be able to end this before it has begun." He smiled slightly at me before we both looked to Ulfric who sighed and lead us out the door. We were lead through a maze of corridors to the dungeon. Me and Thorin stood confused in the centre of the room while Ulfric pulled on a torch sconce. There was a loud crack and a small doorway opened in the wall. Ulfric smiled to us, grabbed the torch from the holding on the wall and walked through the hole.
I looked at Thorin and saw he held the same expression I held. We both walked through the doorway, following Ulfric down the short corridor and into an open office like room. Scrolls and books lined the walls and a large desk sat in the middle of the room. The room seemed to extend further and further to the back. I could not see the wall at the end of the room.
"Wow." I gasped and walked forward. I had never heard of this room in all my time in the world.
"Impressive." Thorin said from behind me. "But how are we going to find what we need?" Ever the pessimist.
"It may look messy but this library is very organised." Ulfric smiled and began walking. "Stay there. I'll find what we need." he carried on and walked along the room, closely watching the bookcases on the left side of the room. Thorin moved from behind me and sat down in one of the chairs in front of the desk silently.
"Are you OK?" I asked, moving to sit in the other chair beside him. He seemed sullen and too quiet. As I spoke, he looked up quickly and smiled.
"Yes. Well... aside from this situation."
"Fair enough." I smiled at him and turned at the sound of rustling and saw Ulfric coming back towards us. He was carrying 6 scrolls as he walked. He reached the desk, placed all the scrolls down and took a seat in the chair across the deak from where we were sitting.
"Alright. These are the ones i found." He spread one of the scrolls along the table. This one simply showed the main story of Beren and Luthien. We read over the scroll within an hour and closed it up.
Each one of us picked up one of the other scrolls and read over them simultaneously alone. I looked up and focused my attention on Ulfric who looked up at Thorin.
Thorin looked up and looked directly at me, eyes widened in surprise. "Aeyai." he put the scroll down on the table and pointed at one of the names somewhere in the middle. Luthien. He then moved his hand down to near the bottom and pointed at one name. I heard Ulfric gasp as he saw the name on the page. I simply looked at it, unbelieving.
"Aeyai. You're the great neice of Luthien the Elf Maiden." Thorin said as I looked back at the page in my hand.
I put it down and pointed to one of the names right at the bottom. "It would seem so. Ulfric. You're the great nephew of Beren." I said, slowly getting more and more confused at our situation.
"Oh no.. Thorin. You won't beleive this but you're the descendant of Celegorm." he said to Thorin.
"Well shit. It would seem we're in a worse situation than we thought".
There we go. :) Chapter 13. Hope you liked it guys!
Drop me a PM or review with any thoughts, ideas. I've decided that now, if there's any characters you want me to include or any OC's you want involved in this, just let me know. I got lots of ideas for things in this story now.
