Chapter 13: I Feel You

What did Isaya mean? How long had he known about the relationship she would share with her current husband.

Does this mean…. She would not leave Zero's side….

Kanna's head had been hurting and confused since the night of Zero's party a few days ago.

Her slender hands naturally opened the brown papered object revealing a plain simple white plate. A small sigh escaped her lips as she rested the plate on the kitchen counter.

Zero and Kanna had moved into a house that would belong to the current vampire hunter president. The house was rather large and a two story house with four bedrooms and three and half baths.

The female pureblood was playing the role of the perfect wife. Her current task was to get the house ready within a month or two while her husband would be settling in as the Vampire Hunter Association President.

Kanna slowly walked towards the cabinet to pack away the four plates she had just unwrapped. Stretching on her toes to reach the upper part of the cupboards, she tipped on her toes stretching her fingers to the very tip trying to push in the stack of plates into the cupboard.

The female could feel the plates slipping and would be falling straight into her face, her eyes shut immediately before the impact came in.

"Thank you" she muttered as she felt a strong grip behind her back and the stack of previous falling plates being pushed into the cupboard by her silver haired husband.

She watched the silver haired hunter close the cupboard and shrugged off his brown coat and threw it on the bar stool next to the kitchen island that was placed in the middle of their open concept styled kitchen.

Kanna could hear the sound of cracking her husband's neck made when he rubbed it with his hands. The poor male was stuck all day in an office dealing with stacks and stacks of paper work.

Zero could endure the paper work if it had meaning to it but it was just stupid fucking rules that were related to his position. It was repetitive, Kanna had already went through all of this when they spent a month in the Hanadagi mansion.

"How was your day?" Kanna began small talk, she was very aware that her husband hated it but she should at least ask, if he wished to answer well that was his choice.

The older male did not decide to answer while he watched his wife walk towards the cupboard to take out a small glass and then walk to another cabinet bringing a white bottle on the opposite side on the island that Zero was currently sitting at. She poured the pure clear liquid into the small glass and pushed it into the middle of the table towards him.

Zero hesitated he was not much for alcohol but they had received so much as gifts they needed to get rid of it.

Kanna could see the silver haired male hesitate to accept the drink, she was aware he didn't particularly like drinking on a regular basis.

"If the drink will not help…." She walked beside her husband slowly stretching her arm to his shoulder as the other slowly crept up his thigh as it lightly tugged on his brown colored belt. "I can always think of other ways….if you wish" Kanna slowly leaned in to kiss the silver haired lips lightly.

Zero could not tell if it was kiss or not it had been too quick and too light. The hunter slowly came to realize that the woman beside him was the best person to stand beside him during this situation. His mind slowly flashing back during the time they spent in the Hanadagi estate.

They both were relaxing in one of the living rooms, where the fire place burned brightly as they sat down on the rug placed in front of the fireplace both sipping on some red wine.

Zero slowly watched as her hand slowly crept onto his thigh lingering in its place. His violet eyes went up to the abyss that would meet him when he made eye contact with her.

"I will say this now since only one more week remains" the violet pair of eyes moved to her light red tinted lips from the wine and the way it glistened from the light from the fire.

"I am on your side, no matter what you may need…." She hesitated lightly before saying the rest, "I shall be your shield and sword as long as you wish." A gentle smile crept onto her lips, making his heart quicken, Zero hoped she had not heard it. The hunter had become attracted to his wife more since their isolation in the mansion, they had servants but they were never present unless called upon. The large mansion always seem abandoned, isolating the young couple. Zero would notice the minor details about his wife, he knew very well she had feelings for Isaya Shouto but he could not deny that he felt something more towards Kanna than he would like to admit during his time in the Hanadagi estate.

The next sentence she made broke the silver haired male out of his stupor, "You are not alone, Zero"

Why…why did she have to be so damn… …

Zero pulled her arm towards him pushing his lips onto her own in a demanding and hasty kiss. As he held her form closer to his chest he could feel how her hands slowly wrapped around his shoulders and entangling itself in his hair.

The sound of their lips clashing fighting for dominance that seemed like Kanna always gave to him to easily.

Zero slowly pulled away from the kiss needing air to return into his lungs.

"And…" his eyes slowly meet her own as she placed her head on his shoulder as his fingers started to slowly move in a certain direction. "As my wife will you also do as I wish?"

Mmm…. The slight moan escaped Kanna's lips she could feel his fingers rubbing against her. The hold onto his grey shirt tightened as she slowly bit down onto her bottom lip turning the male vampire on more than one way.

He kissed her again but stopped his movements with his finger so she could honestly answer his question.

"That is a silly question, darling" She smirked at the young male as his head dipped once again to claim her lips.
