Hola! It has been a while huh? Anyway sorry about the whole 'i burned myself' news, kinda hindered typing of any kind and still makes it painful and I do have nerve damage in the fingers in my left hand, but it isn't too bad and hopefully it won't hinder me too much. I hope that you guys enjoy this greatly anticipated chapter. I don't own Harry Potter or Bleach and most likely will never own them. Enjoy!

Chapter 13

The Quidditch Final

Toshiro and Ryuu limped to the common room, each heavily leaning against each other as they entered, just in time to hear, "I just thought you ought to know.. Hagrid lost his case. Buckbeak is going to be executed." "He couldn't have," Ryuu croaked weakly, causing the golden trio to jump. "Ryuu! Toshiro! You're covered in blood!" Hermione yelped. Ron's jaw dropped and Harry stared wide eyed. "We're fine, just need to sit down," Toshiro muttered, dropping himself into one of the bright red chairs around the fire.

"Please, it's not all of our blood anyway, most of it is the hollows', just tell us what happened," Ryuu said. "He-he sent me this," Hermione said, holding out a letter with shaking hands. Harry took it. The parchment was damp and enormous tear drops had smudged the ink so badly in places that it was difficult to read.

Dear Hermione
We lost. I'm allowed to bring him back
to Hogwarts. Execution date to be fixed.
Beaky has enjoyed London. I won't forget
all the help you gave us.
Hagrid.

"They can't do this," said Harry. "They can't. Buckbeak isn't dangerous." "Malfoy's dad's frightened the Committee into it," said Hermione, wiping her eyes. "You know what he's like. They're a bunch of doddery old fools, and they were scared." "But they'll be an appeal, it's not a proper trial without it. Although even that might not help, nothing will have changed in such a short time," Ryuu muttered. "Yeah, it will!" said Ron fiercely. "You two won't have to do all the work along this time, Hermione, Ryuu. I'll help."

"Oh, Ron!" Hermione flung her arms around Ron's neck and broke down completely. Ron, looking quite terrified, pattered her very awkwardly on the top of the head. Finally, Hermione drew away. "Ron, I'm really, really sorry about Scabbers...," she sobbed. "Oh-well-he was old," said Ron, looking thoroughly relieved that she had let go of him. "And he was a bit useless. You never know, Mum and Dad might get me an owl now."

The deep apologizes were interrupted by the sudden grunt of pain Ryuu gave out. "Well now that we'll all friendly again, do you guys think that you could carry us down to the infirmary." With that the soul keeper promptly fainted.

"You're late boys!" said Professor Flitwick reprovingly as Harry opened the classroom door, Ryuu looked up, offering a small wave with his bandaged arm. "Come along, quickly, hands out, we're experimenting with Cheering Charms today, we've already divided into pairs-" Ryuu and Toshiro were together, wands out, both equally clad in bandages. Harry and Ron hurried to a desk at the back, near their two friends, and opened their bags. "Where's Hermione?" Ryuu whispered. Ron looked back confused. She'd been right behind them.

Harry looked around too. Hermione hadn't entered the classroom, yet Harry knew she had been right next to him when he had opened the door. "That's weird," said Harry, staring at Ron. "Maybe-maybe she went to the bathroom or something?" But Hermione didn't turn up all lesson.

"Jeez, I wish she'd come for the cheering charm, it would've done her good," Ryuu sighed, as the class left for lunch, all grinning broadly, the Cheering Charms had left them with a feeling of great contentment. Hermione wasn't at lunch either. By the time they had finished their apple pie (tea in Toshiro's case) the after effects of the Cheering Charms were wearing off, and the quartet had started to get slightly worried.

"You don't think Malfoy did something to her?" Ron said anxiously. "Why would he?" Ryuu asked, having missed out the way Hermione had thrown insults at the Slytherin earlier. They hurried upstairs towards the Gryffindor Tower, hoping nothing had happened to their friend. They passed the security trolls, gave the Fat Lady the password and scrambled through the portrait hole into the common room. Hermione was sitting in her kingdom of books, her head resting on an open Arithmancy book. They went to sit down on either side of her. Ryuu woke her up with a few gentle nudges.

"Wh-What?" said Hermione, waking with a start and staring wildly around. "Is it time to go? W-which lesson have we got now?" "Divination, but you have twenty more minutes, we can always wake you up then," Ryuu offered. "Hermione why didn't you come to Charms?" "What? Oh no!" Hermione squeaked. "I forgot to go to Charms!" "But how could you forget?" said Harry. "You were with us till we were right outside the classroom!" "I don't believe-" "Before you panic, Hermione, just take a deep breath. I'm going to put an awakening spell on you, that way you can stay up for the rest of the day. You're obviously tired, alright?" Toshiro waited for Hermione to nod before he waved his wand. "Expergiscimini!" (Awake)

Color and life returned to Hermione's tired disposition. "Oh Toshiro! Thank you so much! Anyway, was Professor Flitwick angry? Oh, it was Malfoy, I was thinking about him and I lost track of things!" "Take it easy Hermione, you needed the break. Go see Flitwick, see what we did and everything," Ryuu said, stopping Ron's coming comment.

The group met at Trelawney's classroom twenty minutes later, looking extremely harassed. "I can't believe I missed Cheering Charms! And I bet they come up in our exams; Professor Flitwick, hint they might!" Together they climbed the ladder into the dim, fragrance reeking tower room. Glowing on every little table was a crystal ball full of pearly white mist. Harry, Ron, and Hermione sat at one table while Ryuu and Toshiro sat at another rickety table.

"Crystal balls already?" Toshiro remarked to his long time friend. "Yeah, I guess so. Thank kami-sama we're moving from palmistry, it was getting boring~!" Ryuu yawned, leaning back in his chair. "Good day to you!" said the familiar, misty voice, and Professor Trelawney made her usual dramatic entrance out of the shadows. Parvati and Lavender quivered in excitement, their faces lit by the milky glow of their crystal ball, Ryuu just rolled his eyes.

Although he could see the future in his dreams, thanks to his developing ability, he still hated how the two girls seemed to worship everything the divination teacher foretold. "I have decided to introduce the crystal ball a little earlier than I had planned," said Professor Trelawney, sitting with her back to the fire and gazing around. "The fates have informed me that your examination in June will concern the Orb and I am anxious to give you sufficient practice.

From the other table the dead duo heard Hermione snort, followed by her whispering voice. It was hard to tell whether Professor Trelawney had heard the golden trio of not, as her face was hidden in shadow. She continued, however, as though she had not. "Crystal gazing is a particularly refined art," she said dreamily. "I do not expect any of you to See when you first peer into the Orb's infinite depths. We shall start by practicing relaxing the conscious mind and external eyes."

"As to clear the inner eye and the super conscious of course. Perhaps if we are lucky some of you will See before the end of the class." And so they began. Ryuu stared into the crystal ball, before he began to talk to Ryuunosuke in place of the class work. You've been quiet recently Ryuunosuke, in fact for the whole year, you haven't been keeping 'peace of mind again' have you? Of course not Nao. Developing new powers also takes my energy, and I've failed you much this year already, I have been trying to regain my energy as fast as possible. Of course, but you haven't failed me Ryuunosuke, your my best friend, you've yet to let me down. If I hadn't let you down, no demon would have gotten to you, and neither you nor Toshiro would have been injured by it. Do not think that way, please-

"Now, really!" said Professor Trelawney. Ryuu's head popped up, he'd never heard the teacher this loud before. We'll finish this later, Ryuunosuke. "You are disturbing the clairvoyant vibrations!" She approached the golden trio's table and peered into their crystal ball.

"There is something here!" Professor Trelawney whispered, lowering her face to the ball, so that it was reflected twice in her huge glasses. "Something moving... but what is it?" "My dear...," Professor Trelawney breathed, gazing up at Harry. "It is here, plainer than ever before... my dear, stalking toward you, growing ever closer... the Gr-" "Oh, for goodness' sake!" said Hermione loudly. "Not that ridiculous Grim again!"

Professor Trelawney raised her enormous eyes to Hermione's face. "Oh great," Toshiro muttered quietly, preparing him for the onslaught between the two, that the class knew had been coming for the whole year. Professor Trelawney stood up, surveying Hermione with unmistakable anger.

"I am sorry to say that from the moment you have arrived in this class, my dear, it has been apparent that you do not have what the noble art of Divination requires. Indeed, I don't remember ever meeting a student whose mind was so hopelessly mundane." There was a moment of silence before the flood broke through the dam. "FINE!" said Hermione suddenly, getting up and cramming Unfogging the Future back into her bag."Fine!" she repeated, swinging the bag over her shoulder and almost knocking Ron off his chair. "I give up! I'M LEAVING!"

And to the whole class's amazement, Hermione strode over to the trapdoor, kicked it open, and climbed down the ladder out of sight. It took a few minutes for the class to settle down again. Professor Trelawney seemed to have forgotten all about the Grim. She turned abruptly from Harry and Ron's table, breathing rather heavily as she tugged her gauzy shawl more closely to her.

Ryuu jumped when the sudden noise of "Ooooo!" reached his ears. All attention turned to Lavender Brown. "Ooooo! Professor Trelawney, I've just remembered! You saw her leaving, didn't you? Didn't you, Professor? 'Around Easter, one of our number will leave us forever!' You said it ages ago, Professor!"
The girl seemed happy enough to leap up and start jumping around in excited circles. Professor Trelawney gave her a dewy smile. "Yes, my dear, I did indeed know that Miss. Granger would be leaving us. One hopes, however that one might have mistaken the Signs... The Inner Eye can be a burden, you know..."
Lavender and Parvati looked deeply impressed, and moved over so that Professor Trelawney could join their table instead. "Well, I guess we should get Hermione a lucky charm, it has not been her day today," Ryuu muttered.

The Easter holidays were not exactly relaxing. The third years had never had so much homework, not to mention that Kido classes did apply to Easter holidays since no student left the school. Neville Longbottom seemed close to a nervous collapse, before Ryuu started to start help him, but Neville wasn't the only one.
"Call this a holiday!" Seamus Finnigan roared at the common room one afternoon. "The exams are ages away, what're they playing at?" Meanwhile Toshiro and Ryuu seemed to have a plan for the Kido class that afternoon after spending all day setting up. At six the students of Kido who had yet to learn any of the actual spells, made their way to the class room.

When the students arrived in the class room a note was tapped to the front, telling them to go straight to the training room. Upon arrival the students were shocked into silence, everyone from Malfoy to Harry. Before them stood a glorious field of what they could only guess to be cherry blossom trees, some were made of light, others water, ice, fire and lightning. Made to exact detail, the petals fell off slowly, despite the elements they consisted of all the teens could feel was a silk of the petals.

In between all the trees was a long row of small tables, with a larger table holding countless foods upon it, all steaming and fresh. "Bloody hell, so that's why they told not to eat." Never mind that! How did they do all of this!" "It's amazing!" "What else would you expect from Ryuu-sama!" "Hey everyone, bout time you got here," Ryuu appeared from behind of the trees, waving to the group.

"Toshiro's just getting a few more things set up, but he told us to go ahead and start eating, so go ahead and take a seat," Ryuu told them cheerfully, following his own advice as he sat down. And so for around an hour, the house rivalries dissolved, Slytherins chatting with Gryffindors, Ravenclaws with Hufflepuffs, and even Toshiro (when he arrived) was taken in by the joyful gathering. After the food had gone, and the stomachs had been filled, Toshiro and Ryuu had excused themselves and all but ordered the students to stay where they were.

A few seconds later the teens saw ice pellets being shot into the air, before exploding into a colorful display of fireworks, and at last, at around ten, students headed back to their dorms, each thanking Ryuu and Toshiro.

"What was this all for anyway?" Hermione asked, as she waited for Harry and Ron. "All of your guys hard work so far, we didn't want to keep everyone up so late on a school night and there's a lot of homework to do on the weekends so we figured we'd do it now instead," Toshiro said, with a small smile on his lips. "Yep! Not to mention it's always fun to celebrate for no reason, it brings everyone closer together, and proves the fact that the borders that bind us can be broken with a simple thing," Ryuu added. Harry, Ron and Hermione said their final thanks before also leaving to their dorms.

The following weekend made for the Slytherin and Gryffindor match. Ryuu and Toshiro went down to breakfast, early as always, and enjoyed the silence, commenting occasionally on that day's match. As the Great Hall filled up the chatter became increasingly louder. And finally, when Harry and the rest of the Gryffindor team entered the Great Hall they were greeted with enormous applause.

Harry began grinning madly when both the Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff tables were applauding them too. The Slytherin table hissed loudly as they passed. Ryuu noticed that Malfoy looked even paler than usual. The team sat next to Ryuu and Toshiro, discussing last minute techniques along with what the two geniuses thought as a fit breakfast for the game ahead.

Wood spent the whole of breakfast urging them to eat, while touching nothing himself until Ryuu all but shoved a piece of toast down his throat. Then Wood hurried them off to the field, joined by Ryuu, before anyone else had finished, so they could get an idea of the conditions. As they left the Great Hall, everyone applauded again. "Good luck, Harry!" called Cho. Ryuu watched as Harry blushed before nudging the boy. "Looks like you've got the hots for someone, if you need any advice just ask me."

"Okay- no wind to speak of- sun's a bit bright, that could impair your vision, watch out for it- ground's fairly hard, good, that'll give us a fast kickoff-" Wood paced the field, staring around with the team behind him. Finally, they saw the front doors of the castle open in the distance and the rest of the school spilling onto the lawn. "Locker rooms," said Wood tersely.

Ryuu smiled at them all, "You guys are going to do great, don't let the Slytherins enjoy your panic! I'll see you all after you win." "Don't forget your promise Ryuu," Angelia winked as she walked past. Instantly Ryuu turned bright red, muttered another good luck and ran for the stands.

Once seated, along with Toshiro, Hermione, Ron and Neville, the group instantly talked excitedly among themselves, even Toshiro who began to talk eagerly about swordplay that he would do with other members of his class in place of Qudditch. Once the team walked onto the field they were greeted by a tidal wave of noise. Three quarters of the crowd was wearing scarlet rosettes, waving scarlet flags with Gryffindor lions upon them which moved and let out silent roars. Others brandished banners with slogans like "GO GRYFFINDOR!" and "LIONS FOR THE CUP!"

Behind Slytherin goal posts, however, two hundred people were wearing green; however the usually silver serpent was shifting from red to gold, infuriating the majority of the Slytherins. "It really is a shame that the teachers couldn't reverse that spell in time, they don't even know who cast it," Ryuu chuckled, observing his work.

"And here are the Gryffindors!" yelled Lee Jordan, who was acting as commentator as usual. "Potter, Bell, Johnson, Spinnet, Weasley, Weasley and Wood. Widely acknowledged as the best team Hogwarts has seen in a good few year-" Lee's comments were drowned by a tide of boos from the Slytherin end, only for the house of the snake to be washed out by the loud cheering.

"And here comes the Slytherin team, led by Captain Flint. He's made some changes in the lineup and seems to be going for size rather than skill-" More boos from the Slytherin crowd. Yet, as Toshiro realized, Lee had a point. The Slytherin team, besides Draco, all looked like mini Kenpachis.

"Captains, shake hands!" said Madam Hooch. Flint and Wood approached each other and grasped each other's hands, what everyone expected to be very tightly as though they would try to break the other's fingers. "Mount your brooms!" said Madam Hooch. "Three.." Here the crowd began to count down too, "Two...One!"

The sound of the flying teacher's whistle was lost to the roar of the crowd as fourteen brooms rose into the air. Instantly positions were taken and Harry began his search for the golden snitch. "And its Gryffindor in possession, Alicia Spinnet of Gryffindor with the Quaffle, heading straight for the Slytherin goal posts, looking good, Alicia! Arg, no- Quaffle intercepted by Warrington, Warrington of Slytherin tearing up the field- WHAM!- nice Bludger work there by George Weasley, Warrington drops the Quaffle, it's caught by Johnson, Gryffindor back in possession, come on, Angelina- nice swerve around Montague- duck! Angelina that's a Buldger! SHE SCORES! TEN TO ZERO TO GRYFFINDOR!"

The crowd draped in gold and red screamed in joy as Angelina punched the air as she soared around the end of the field- "OUCH!" Angelina was nearly thrown from her broom as Marcus Flint went smashing into her. "Sorry!" said Flint as the crowd below booed. "Sorry, didn't see her!"

A moment later, Fred Weasley chucked his Beater's club to the back of Flint's head. Flint's nose smashed into the handle of the broom and began to bleed. And other the roar of screams of joy and outrage Toshiro almost missed his phone beeping. "I'll take it," he muttered to Ryuu before leaving the stands.
Toshiro quickly hid his body under the stands and sped away to find himself face to face with one Sirius Black, watching the game from a hilltop nearby. "Wonderful game so far isn't it?" Black asked from where he sat. "Of course, Harry and the rest of the Gryffindor team are brilliant. Of course, it would mean much more coming from you than me," Toshiro replied, "Although it is pretty hard to see from here." From the hilltop the only thing the duo could see was little black dots whirling around in the sky. They could just rarely hear Lee Jordan's voice as the game was played.

"That's true, but I wouldn't be able to get any closer if I wanted to, you know wanted criminal and such," Black chuckled, gazing at the black dots that were players on their brooms. A few seconds of silence passed when a player zoomed down towards the ground suddenly at an amazing speed. The player was quickly followed by a slower one, both probably seekers. From their spot they could hear the exclamation of "HARRY'S THE SNITCH! GRYFFINDOR WINS THE CUP!" "You must be proud," Toshiro proclaimed, taking note of Black's wide smile. "I don't know any godfather that wouldn't be."

Meanwhile Ryuu had run down into the field with the rest of the Gryffindor house all cheering. Hagrid was yelling, "Yeh beat 'em Harry, yeh beat 'em! Wait till I tell Buckbeak!" Then there was Percy, jumping up and down like a maniac, all dignity forgotten. Professor McGonagall was sobbing even harder than Wood was, wiping her eyes with an enormous Gryffindor flag. In the midst of it Ryuu had been forced towards Angelica and to the majority's surprise they shared some sort lip to lip contact. Now Hermione, and Ron were fighting their way through the crowd towards Harry, as the seaker himself was brought towards the stands where Dumbledore awaited with the Quidditch Cup.

After Harry had been passed the cup Ryuu stood beside Dumbledore. "It is indeed the calm before the storm, we must ready ourselves for what is left to come."
