Chapter 13: Is there anything else you want to tell me?

AN: I feel guilty leaving it at a cliff hanger, so I thought I would update super quick for you all.

Thanks for the reviews, they make my day.

Hope everyone enjoys!

Puddlemere United Stadium – Wednesday 15th July 1998

Hermione's head snapped to the pitch floor where she saw Oliver being levitated onto a stretcher and he was taken away.

Hermione stopped breathing, her head began to spin and her chest tightened painfully. She stumbled backwards and Coach caught her and she looked at him with wide and unfocused eyes.

She could see his lips moving, but she couldn't hear him. All she could focus on was the panic and pain that hit her when she learned Oliver was injured. She was more panicked than she should've been; she was panicked like you would be about a loved one. And then it hit her. She didn't know when, she didn't know how, but in that moment she realised that she had fallen in love Oliver. She loved him. It was the only explanation for feeling the way she did.

She didn't know how long she had been that way but Fred, George and Mr and Mrs Wood had made their way over to the coach's box and were surrounding her worriedly, they were all talking to her, but she had gone into a catatonic state.

She was broken out of her unresponsive state when she heard the next announcement.

"IS THERE A LICENSED HEALER PRESENT?" Hermione grabbed her wand and pointed it in the air.

"Periculum" she said clearly and a red beam of light shot out of her wand, before anyone in the audience even had a chance to.

Fred and George looked at her strangely; she had never mentioned that she was a licensed healer, especially given her age and lack of NEWT's, it was impossible.

The referee flew over to the coach's box and Hermione climbed onto the broom, the only thought in her mind that she had to get to Oliver and he flew her down to the medic's tent by the side of the pitch.

"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, THAT WAS HERMIONE GRANGER! PUDDLEMERE'S NEWEST JUNIOR COACH AND OLIVER WOOD'S SOON TO BE WIFE" there was a mixture of cheers and boos from the crowd.

Hermione dismounted the broom and ran through the opening of the tent and she saw Oliver laid on a padded table in the middle of the tent, surrounded by three healers who looked panicked.

She ran to his side with tears falling down her face.

"Why aren't you healing him?" Hermione snapped.

"We're not sure how to" one of the healers said meekly.

"You're healers are you not?" she was not happy.

"We only graduated last week, the senior healer is off ill and we have no supervisor" another healer spoke looking pale under Hermione's glare.

"Out now" she all but growled.

"But..."

"I said OUT NOW!" they scurried away and out of the tent fearfully.

Hermione gently touched Oliver's face before she closed her eyes and raised her hands and they hovered over Oliver's chest. She was not aware that she had an audience as Fred, George and Mr and Mrs Wood had just found their way into the tent and they watched her, not moving or making a sound.

Hermione's hands began to glow, at first a dull yellow, but it grew until it was gradually a bright and blinding golden glow, surrounding Hermione and Oliver. They had to close their eyes at the intensity of the light.

The glow began to fade after a minute and the colour, slowly grew dull until Hermione's hands were barely emitting light and they could see their frames once more. Hermione's nose was dripping blood, her hands were shaking, her complexion had gone pale and she was biting her lip painfully.

She gasped loudly and dropped her hands and she clutched onto the side of the table to keep herself upright and she took deep breaths.

Oliver's eyes began to flutter, before he slowly opened them and his eyes landed on Hermione confused.

"You're hurt" he said with a frown and he lifted his hand and wiped the blood away from Hermione's nose with his thumb and Hermione shook her head and leaned into his touch.

"I'm fine. You were hurt" she said softly and leaning over him so he didn't have to crane his neck to see her and he dropped his hand.

"What happened?"

"You were oblivious to your surroundings" Hermione scolded.

"I was hit by a bludger?"

"Yes, you moron, you were hit by a bludger"

"Was it bad?"

"Internal bleeding and organ damage, a broken leg, a broken arm, a broken clavicle and deep tissue bruises"

"So no damage to my handsome face?"

Hermione snorted and rolled her eyes. "You're going to be fine" she said and she tenderly pushed his hair out of his eyes.

"Did you heal me? I think you did"

Hermione froze. "What do you mean?"

"I could feel it. Your magic. It was like it was surrounding me and I could feel it flowing through my body. I felt like I was floating and your magic was soothing the pain until it was barely a tingle, I still feel a little achy, but other than that I feel fine" he slowly sat up and Hermione helped him. "How did you do it?" she was beginning to go red in the face.

"I.I, well I..."

"Your hands were glowing" the twins said and Hermione's attention snapped to them and her eyes widened as they walked further into the room with Mr and Mrs Wood.

"You don't look so good" George said frowning.

"How did you heal my son?" Mrs Wood asked stunned.

"And how are you a licensed healer?" Fred said confused and Oliver looked at her.

Hermione was now completely red in the face.

"I think I know" Mr Wood said, giving Hermione a knowing look and she sighed.

"I am a licensed healer and I could heal Oliver because I'm a natural healer" you could hear a pin drop in the room, before Fred and George burst out laughing.

"Good one Mia" the twins said and she gave them a look and they immediately stopped laughing. "You're serious?"

She swallowed. "Yes"

"But, they are incredibly rare" George spoke looking at her in awe.

"So rare, they are almost extinct. There's said to be no more than fifty in the entire wizarding world"

Hermione nodded. "I know, I am the only natural healer in the United Kingdom"

"How long have you known?" Mr Wood asked.

"Since my fifth year. The only people that know are myself and Professor McGonagall. It was also the reason why we took a look at my family tree. There's a reason Fred woke up from his coma so quickly"

"You healed me" Fred spoke stunned.

She nodded sheepishly. "The healers gave Fred the potions, but that wasn't what healed him. The night he was taken to hospital, the night of the Final Battle, I snuck into St Mungos before I went into muggle London. George was asleep and I healed Fred. Over the two weeks, during the night I healed Fred a little to help him wake up from his coma. But because it was such a difficult job I had to do it in small doses. That's why it took two weeks and the healer had never seen a patient so healthy"

"Not only did you save my brother's life once, you saved it twice" George spoke quietly and she looked down. She felt Oliver's eyes on her and she looked at him to see he was staring at her.

"You didn't tell me" he sounded hurt. "Why didn't you tell me?"

"I didn't even tell the twins. Professor McGonagall is the only person that knew. If people found out what I could do..." she trailed off and let them come to their own conclusions. "I was afraid of what you would think of me. I am an anomaly in the wizarding world"

"No, you're not, Mia" Fred said walking over to her and he pulled her to him and hugged her tightly. "You're special. People would kill to have the ability you have and I understand why you didn't tell us. Thank you for saving my life...again"

George decided to lighten the mood. "Hey, we have our own personal healer. St Mungo's won't have to give us our own ward now" Fred and Hermione chuckled and Oliver was still staring at her.

"Will this ability be passed onto your children?" Mr Wood asked and Hermione flinched and Fred and George gave her a knowing look.

Oliver was beginning to think there was something Hermione wasn't telling him. Whenever children were mentioned she would get this pained look on her face, at first he put it down to nerves, but now he wasn't sure.

"I'm not entirely sure, I don't even know how I got this ability, I mean I was obviously born with it, but from my research I haven't determined if my ancestors had it or not"

Mr and Mrs Wood were looking at Hermione in awe. They had a natural healer in the family.

"You won't tell anyone will you?" Hermione asked anxiously.

"No, we won't" George assured her. "This has to be kept a secret for your safety"

She looked at Oliver and he was looking at her thoughtfully, but before she could say anything, the commentator called loudly.

"THOMPSON CAUGHT THE SNITCH! PUDDLEMERE WINS! 210 - 60"

Hermione turned to Oliver. "You did it! Your first win as Captain" she said smiling widely.

Oliver had finished with the after game interview and he had showered and changed. He found Hermione waiting outside the locker rooms with Quaffle and Leo.

"Hey, just thought I'd let you know that I'm taking Leo back to the shop and then I'll see you at home" his lip twitched at hearing her say 'home'.

"You're not coming out with us to celebrate?"

"No, not this time. The twins have already left and owled Leo's mother. I'm going to wait with him until his mother comes to pick him up"

"You could always meet up with us afterwards"

"It's alright, I have some contracts and what not to read over and sign by tomorrow anyway, and someone has to watch Quaffle. Besides, you don't want your future wife out celebrating with you, you'll have more fun if it's just you and the boys"

"But I need to talk to you about something"

"Well it can wait until you get back" she smiled and kissed his cheek before she and Leo made their way to the floo with Quaffle.

"You never mentioned that Hermione was a licensed healer" Kings spoke from behind Oliver and he turned around to face the team.

"That's because I didn't know"

"But how? She's not old enough and she didn't get her NEWT's" Wilks spoke confused.

"I don't know, maybe because of what she did in the war" Oliver shrugged.

"Well Captain, let's go and break some hearts" Pallie said clapping him on the shoulder and steering him towards the floo and the rest of the team followed with loud cheers and applause.

Wizarding Club

Oliver and the team had been in three pubs, two bars and they had arrived at a newly opened club thirty minutes ago. They were laughing, cheering and celebrating loudly and of course, attracting the attention of the women present, single and not. The team was well on their way to having a huge hangover in the morning, whereas Oliver hadn't been as free with his alcohol intake. He had previously had three fire whiskeys, four butter beers and he was now drinking water. He needed to stay sober so he could talk to Hermione when he returned home, and it wouldn't be long before he got annoyed at the women throwing themselves at him, and the team found it amusing and would tease him relentlessly, but Oliver would get his revenge at training in the morning.

He put his glass down intending to leave and head home when he spotted a tall blonde, with blue eyes heading his way and the team laughed uproariously at Oliver's irritated expression.

"Hi there" she purred. "I'm Sophie" she touched his arm and pressed herself against him. "Would you like to come back to my place?" she gave him what she thought was a seductive smile, but to him she looked ridiculous.

"No, I'm going home to my fiancé" he stepped away from her and turned to leave.

She grabbed his arm and walked in front of him and pressed herself against him once more.

"Yes, Hermione Granger right? Hmm, but you're not married yet and I can give you things that ugly, swot can't" she whispered in his ear and Oliver clenched his hands.

"My Sparrow is ten times the woman you are, not only is she the wisest witch of the age, she is beautiful, kind, selfless and she could hex you anytime, anywhere. You don't even come close to her. You're a spark, she's the whole fire. You're a kitten, she's a lioness. You're pee-wee quidditch, she's the world cup. She will always win out over you" he said seriously before removing his arm from the grip she had on him and she stared at with a shocked expression. "Now if you will excuse me, I have a fiancé to get home to"

He walked away without a backwards glance and the team looked at each other both amused and stunned, before they shrugged it off and continued drinking.

Wood Apartment

Oliver had apparated to Diagon Alley and then flooed home from the Leaky Cauldron. The balcony door was open, but Quaffle wasn't outside. He headed towards the library, but he found Hermione in her bedroom with the door open. He knocked on the open door and Hermione looked up at him with a smile and Quaffle climbed off his dog bed and waddled over to Oliver barking.

Oliver greeted Quaffle and Hermione.

"Did you have fun?"

"Wasn't too bad, you mind if I come in?" she shook her head and he entered the room, Quaffle went back to his dog bed and Oliver kicked his shoes off and sat on the bed beside Hermione.

She had documents and contracts spread out across the bed and some on her crossed legs, she had her hair up in a messy bun, with a muggle pen in hand and one behind her ear.

"I wanted to talk to you about something"

"Hmm, just give me a second, I'm almost done"

He nodded and she returned to reading the document in her lap, she signed in the right places and then she picked up all the documents and contracts and put them in a pile on her bedside table and she put down her muggle pens. She turned to face him to give him her full attention, and he turned and crossed his legs so they were facing each other.

"You're not mad at me are you?" she asked biting her lip.

"For keeping the fact that you're a natural healer from me?" she nodded. "No, I'm not mad. I can understand why you didn't tell me. It's the same reason you haven't told anyone about the Deathly Hallows or the Elder wand. I can't be mad at you for being cautious or afraid" she looked relieved. "I wanted to talk about something else though"

"Okay then"

"I've noticed that every time I or someone else mention children, you seem to look panicked and a flicker of pain crosses your face" Hermione froze with her eyes wide in panic. "There, that's the look I'm talking about" he said gesturing to her. "What's the matter? Are you worried about having sex with me because it will be your first time?" she blushed at his statement and was amazed by his complete lack of embarrassment.

"Oliver, that's not the problem... well it is... but it's something else" she sighed and then he looked at her encouragingly.

"What is it?" he asked her softly.

"I don't know how to tell you" she rubbed her hands over her face.

"Whatever it is I want to know"

"I should've told you sooner, so you could petition for a new match"

"It can't be that bad" he assured her and she looked at him incredulously.

"Okay, I'm just going to blurt it out and get it over with" he nodded and she took a deep breath. "Imaynotbeabletohavechildren"

Oliver looked at her. "I'm sorry, what?"

"I may not be able to have children" she repeated slowly.

"Don't be ridiculous, you're eighteen"

"Oliver, I am being serious. My body has been through a lot these last seven years. When I was tortured a lot of the spells were aimed at my stomach, and when I was stabbed the knife was left in me. I was healed, but there could still be some after effects. I may not be fertile" she spoke softly and then she looked away from him.

"You were afraid to tell me?" she nodded and he put his hand under her chin and turned her head so she had to look at him. "Why?"

"You're a pureblood Oliver. You are the heir to the House of Wood and you require an heir to carry on the line. Even without this whole marriage law being a pain in the arse and I may not be able to give that to you"

"It's not your fault, Sparrow. There are other options, we could always adopt"

She shook her head and tears began to leak out of her eyes. "If after a year of marriage, I prove to be infertile, you will be given the choice of divorcing me and getting a new match or staying married to me. If I were you, I would petition for someone new now. You still have time before the wedding. Everyone would understand. I would understand"

Oliver looked at her like she should be committed to St Mungos psychiatric ward.

"I am not going to petition for a new match" he said seriously. "And if you can't have children, I won't abandon you"

"You should Oliver. I don't want to take the chance of you being a father away from you. You deserve to be a father"

"You deserve the chance of being a mother even more. Like I said, we could always adopt. My parents wouldn't mind that our children might not be related by blood. They wouldn't love them any less" he wiped away her tears. "I am not going to abandon you over something that isn't your fault"

"Oliver, I think you are making a mistake. I have given you a viable reason for petitioning the Ministry for a new match and based on the circumstances, they will likely give you one"

"Why do you want me to have a new match so badly?" he asked hurt.

"I am not good enough for you" she said sadly and his hurt expression faded from his face, and it changed to one of disbelief. "I am not pretty enough. I'm covered in scars. I am damaged. And I don't want to fall for you knowing that I can't give you children and that you will resent me for it. Knowing that you will choose to be re-matched; it would kill me. I can't lose anyone else" he noticed her distress.

Oliver's heart was pounding and his head was spinning as he took in her words.

"Hermione?" he whispered quietly. "Are you falling for me?"

She looked down and her face flamed. He had his answer, but he wanted her to say it.

"I.I.I" she sighed and then she nodded, but she refused to look at him and she missed his hopeful expression. "But I don't understand it. We've only known each other for three weeks. No one can truly love someone after three weeks. It's not possible, it shouldn't be possible. I don't know how it happened. But you break down the defences I have put up, you make me feel safe and protected"

"From the moment my parents set eyes on each other, they knew that they would get married and that they would only love each other. They told me that story everyday for as long as I can remember. You can fall for someone having knowing them for years or even minutes. But in the wizarding world it's different. My parents told me that in some rare cases a witch and wizard have been known to be fated to be together. Their magic connects and they understand each other perfectly, without any thought or second guessing"

"Are you saying that we may be fated to be together?" she asked, still not looking at him.

"I don't know, maybe. According to the Ministry you are my perfect match. We balance each other out and we get along seemingly well for two people who have been put in an awkward position. As soon as I climb in bed, you calm down from your nightmares; you didn't do that with Fred and George. I can be myself around you knowing that you won't judge me and you moved in here without any problems. When you healed me I could feel your magic inside of me, coaxing me to get better and for me to open up my eyes"

"You mentioned it before, but that's never happened. I've healed a fair amount of people, and they never mentioned feeling my magic healing them. They just woke up without injury and they had no idea of what I did or that I was the one to heal them"

"I'm not saying that we are one of these rare occasions, but what I am saying is that it is possible for you to have strong feelings for me in such a short amount of time. So I'm going to ask you again and this time I want you to look at me" she shyly looked up into his eyes and saw a myriad of emotions swimming through them. "Are you falling in love with me?"

"Yes" she spoke at barely a whisper and his eyes lit up.

He leaned forward and captured her lips with his. He licked along her bottom lip begging for entrance and she parted for him, allowing him to slip his tongue into her mouth. He usually kissed her languidly and tenderly, but this kiss was very different from the ones previously shared. He kissed her with more determination and more passion. It was more heated and powerful.

Hermione wound one of her hands into his hair and the other gripped his shirt and she pulled him towards her, until she was on her back and he was hovering over her, supporting himself on his elbows. They kissed for as long as they could, before they had to break apart for air.

Oliver remained hovering above her and stared into her eyes. "I'm falling for you too and trust me when I say it wasn't exactly difficult" he lied slightly. He knew that he was already in love with her, but he would wait until she felt the same. "I am not above you, if anything I am not good enough for you. You're incredibly beautiful, powerful, intelligent and kind. You have a downright terrifying temper, your protective of your family and you are selfless. You will make an amazing mother whether we adopt or not. I've seen the way you are with the twins and Leo. It's in your nature to make sure everyone is taken care of. But it's mine turn now. It's my turn to protect you, and make sure that you are safe. It's my turn to make sure that you are eating and that you put on weight until you reach the goal set. It's my turn to make sure you stay away from your allergies and to comfort you when you have nightmares. And whatever side effects and trauma you are dealing with as a result of the war, I will help you to come to terms with it and move on. I promise you Hermione, I will not abandon you"

"You don't know that. You may feel differently in a year's time if I can't get pregnant. My parents left me. Harry, Ron and Ginny left me. What's stopping you from leaving?" she looked vulnerable, and that was a look he never thought he'd see on her face.

"The fact that I am actually grateful to the Ministry for pairing me with you. If I hadn't have met you, my life would revolve around quidditch and one night stands" she glared at him at that and he chuckled. "But now that you have become a part of my life, I laugh more, I enjoy life and I have someone to come home to. I was convinced that I didn't want to marry until my quidditch career was over, but all that changed when I met you. Granted I might have wanted to date first and wait a few years, but still. You have given me a family, albeit consisting of three gold fish and a dog..." she gave a watery laugh "but it's a start. Even the team says that I smile more and it unnerves them" she laughed again and wiped away her tears. "But the point is I am thankful for meeting you"

"You can be really sweet when you want to be" she said blushing.

"Don't tell anyone, the team would never let me live it down" she laughed again.

"I'm grateful that I was matched with you" she confessed. "You push me to do the things I'm afraid of and thanks to you I have told more people about my parents. I think I should tell everyone about my past before the wedding" he smiled at hearing the news. "Will you be there when I do it?"

"Couldn't keep me away. When do you want to do it?"

"Saturday night maybe. We can invite everyone here for dinner and I'll cook"

"What will you make?"

"Your choice, whatever you want"

"Are you going to tell them about Horcruxes, your natural healing and the Deathly Hallows?"

"I'll tell them about my natural healing but not the others, I'll just skim over the Horcruxes like I'm going to in the books"

"I'm proud of you"

"I'm proud of you too, you did well today, even if your stupid arse got knocked off your broom" he chuckled at her. "Promise me you'll be more careful"

"I'll do my best, but I can't guarantee it"

"I know"

"I guess it's a good job my fiancé is a natural healer" he chuckled and she rolled her eyes. "So now that we're being honest, is there anything you haven't told me?"

She nodded. "There are a few things"

"Okay, let's get it out in the open. If this is going to work we can't have any secrets between us"

She nodded and then looked him in the eye.

"Okay, the twins know this but no one else does. Not even Harry or Ron" he perked up at the news. "Third year, when Remus turned during the full moon without taking his potion he attacked us" Oliver nodded. "Well I got the brunt of the attack and he caught me on my back. Harry and Ron got away unscathed, but I was scratched" his eyes widened. "I'm not a werewolf, the scratch wasn't deep enough. But it still affected me to a certain degree"

"How?" he asked intrigued.

"During the full moon, I become agitated, moody and snappy. We've only lived together a week so you haven't witnessed it yet but the twins have. They found it amusing and would purposefully wind me up until one of them got hexed and then they left me alone" he laughed at her. "I'm kind of in the same situation as Bill, except I've been dealing with it longer than he has, since he was attacked by Fenrir Greyback three years after I was attacked by Remus. I will also be more sleepy and territorial. But that's not it"

Hermione blushed furiously and he couldn't wait for the next bit of information she was about to reveal, considering the reaction he was witnessing.

"Now Sparrow, don't keep secrets" he smirked.

She scowled at him and then looked down blushing. "When we... well when we... you know..."

"Have sex?" he said amused, giving the position they were in. Oliver was still hovering over her and supporting himself on his elbows and looking down at her. She hit him in the chest and he laughed.

"Yes, when that happens, I may well... I may bite you" his eyebrows rose so high they almost disappeared into his hairline. "I won't pass on any of the qualities that I have, you won't become a werewolf and I shouldn't draw blood either. I will just have the urge to mark you like a werewolf would"

He actually found the whole situation amusing. She would be so territorial over him, that she would mark him. Mind you, he had marked her with a love bite the day before and she still hadn't noticed.

"How often would this happen?"

"I don't know. Maybe once, maybe every time, maybe when I get territorial around the full moon" she shrugged and then looked up at him to see him smirking. "You're not angry?"

"No" he snorted. "First of all, it wouldn't be your fault and second of all, I think the whole thing is rather funny" he looked pleased with himself and she rolled her eyes.

"Just you wait, when my cycle and the full moon match up, you're screwed"

He looked at her confused. "Cycle?" she raised an eyebrow and then he paled a little. "Oh right, that cycle. I'll just avoid you for a few days" he said nodding, certain of his decision and she laughed at him. "When is the next full moon?"

"August the eighth. A while to go yet so don't worry"

He nodded. "Anything else you haven't told me"

"Umm, well there is one more thing, again only Fred and George know about this. I never told Harry or Ron"

He looked at her confused as she pushed on his chest and pushed him away from her. He sat up looking at Hermione as she got up off the bed. She stood on the floor and with a smile she slowly leaned forward and before her hands touched the floor, her body transformed into a lioness right before his wide eyes. Quaffle was unaffected by the change since he had seen her change a few times before, when they still lived with the twins and he could sense that the lioness was his owner.

Oliver looked at her in awe as the lioness jumped onto the bed and sat in front of him. He slowly lifted his hand and the lioness nuzzled her face against it before she changed back into Hermione.

"Whoa" he said in wonder. "You're an animagus"

She nodded. "Since my fifth year. I was curious as to whether or not I could do it. It took me a while but I could. I haven't always been a lioness though. I used to be an otter, but when my patronus changed, my animagus form did too. The twins got the shock of their lives when they found a lioness in their living room" Oliver laughed at her pleased grin. "I intended to turn into an otter so I could prank them, but the lioness worked just as well, better even"

"Are you registered?"

"No, I was underage when I first transformed and then the war was officially made public and the Ministry was under Voldemort's control. It was safer for me to keep it a secret; I could escape without anyone knowing if I had to"

"Why didn't you transform when you were being tortured?"

"I couldn't; I was in too much pain to focus and I was weak and injured. It takes a lot of energy and concentration to transform, otherwise you may hurt yourself. Like apparating and splinching"

"Anything else?"

"Well, when a witch or wizard becomes an animagus, they tend to take on some of the traits of their animal form. Lionesses and lions are predators and they hunt. So they need enhanced senses to help them in their survival, I have taken on a few of their senses. Like for instance, I have better sight and hearing than you do thanks to my animagus form. And lions are very territorial, mix that with the werewolf traits I picked up from the attack and well, I will be twice as territorial, double of what Bill will be over Fleur"

"I feel sorry for the poor sod that tries it on with me then" Oliver snorted and Hermione rolled her eyes.

"Is that everything?"

"I think so" she nodded.

"If you think of anything else?"

"I'll tell you" she promised.

"Good, now that everything is out in the open, when can I see your scars?"

She scowled. "Not yet, and I don't care if you will see them on our wedding night, I don't want you to see them yet. You should've seen the look on the shop worker's face when she was helping me change into dresses. She looked horrified"

"I know what you went through, I know why you have those scars" she shrugged. "How about we take it one scar at a time?" she looked at him strangely. "I'll show you a scar that I have, and then you show me any scar you want to" he offered up and he could tell by the thoughtful look on her face that she was mulling over his suggestion.

She sighed. "See what I mean? You are always pushing me to do things I'm afraid of" she shook her head. "Just one, you go first"

"Okay" he shifted and then lifted the side of his button down shirt up, to reveal a horizontal scar the size of an index finger.

"What caused it?" Hermione slowly reached up and traced it with her finger and Oliver shifted a little under her tender touch.

"My first week at Puddlemere, during practice a faulty bludger exploded and shrapnel hit me" he shrugged and then he put his shirt back down when she moved her hand away.

Hermione sat up on her knees, took a deep breath and then fiddled with the edge of her jersey, before she slowly lifted it to just below her ribs. In-between her ribs and bellybutton, towards the left side of her stomach, she had a long horizontal line, similar to Oliver's only slightly bigger and it wasn't as faded. It was barely three months old, but with the help of magic, it didn't look recent.

"What happened?" he asked and then he mimicked her earlier actions and traced a finger over the scar and Hermione sucked in a breath.

"That one is from when I was tortured, when I had the knife stuck in me" she put the jersey back down.

"See, that wasn't so hard, we'll slowly build up to you showing me them all" she looked at him fearfully and when he noticed her expression he pulled her towards him and hugged her tightly.

"It'll be okay" he said softly. And then he laid down with Hermione tucked into his side. They laid in quiet for a while before Oliver smirked.

He looked down at Hermione and tugged on her jersey.

"By the way, love the jersey" she looked up at him with a blush on her cheeks.

"I forgot to buy one for the match and by the time I remembered, I didn't have time. So I just borrowed one of yours. I didn't think you'd mind, but if it does bother you then I won't do it again. I didn't actually go into your room, I ran into Tillie when she was gathering the laundry and she gave me one of your jerseys" she rambled and he had an amused look on his face. "Sorry, won't do it again"

"Actually I think you should do it all the time, wear my jersey I mean" he had a smirk plastered on his face at her disbelieving look. "What? It looks better on you than it does me. Besides, the team's jealous"

"Why?"

"Because you were wearing my jersey. Their partners wouldn't and won't wear their jerseys. Apparently it isn't lady like"

Hermione snorted. "It's also not lady like to show certain attributes to the world" he laughed at her. "Anyway, they are really comfortable; it's why I always wear the twins" she shrugged.

"Well you won't be wearing their jerseys anymore"

Hermione pulled away from him and looked at him with a smirk. "Are you jealous?"

"No" he scoffed.

"So why won't I be wearing the twin's jerseys again?"

"It isn't right for an engaged woman to wear another man's jersey"

"Even if it's my brother's?" she said amused and he scowled at her.

"I cannot believe you put Quaffle in a quidditch jersey"

She grinned. "He looked adorable didn't he? And don't say that you didn't appreciate it because I know you did" he chuckled at her. "Have you eaten?" he shook his head. "I made dinner, let's go"

Puddlemere United Stadium - Thursday 16th July 1998

Hermione and Oliver flooed to the stadium with Quaffle by their side and Oliver helped Hermione carry some of the contracts and documents she had been reading the previous night.

Seeing the amount of documents made Oliver's eyes widen. He thought he had a lot of reading to do when he went over his contract, but Hermione took the biscuit.

They walked down through reception and down the stands into the coach's box and Quaffle ran straight to Coach Burton who was surrounded by the team.

"Hey, Junior Coach" the team chorused.

"Looking good" Wilks winked and she blushed and Oliver glared at Wilks, much to the team's amusement.

Hermione looked down at herself. She was wearing a grey thin hooded tracksuit jacket, a black v-neck spaghetti strap top, black high waisted shorts and white converse. She had pulled her hair into a messy bun and secured it with her wand.

Hermione scowled, when she realised what they called her. "Don't call me that, it sounds funny"

Oliver noticed the looks on the team's faces and spoke up. "I wouldn't do that if I were you, as Junior Coach she has access to your files and then she will know where you live. If you don't want to be checking your homes three times a day for joke products then I suggest you keep your mouths closed. You all saw what she did to Malloy and Wilk's girlfriends"

The team looked at Hermione and she nodded with a smirk of her own and they shivered.

"Right, now that's over, where do you want these?" Hermione asked the Coach. He banished them to his office to be filed away.

"Let's get training. So Junior, what are we doing today?"

Hermione raised an eyebrow at him. "You're the Coach"

"We need to knock them into shape and you're the only one who can do that" he pushed her in front of him so she faced the team who looked at her shocked expression amused.

She cleared her throat and then spoke. "Okay then, we'll take it easy today since you all look like you have been to hell and back and run over by the Hogwarts Express at the same time. But you all have different weaknesses, so we can either work on them as a team or you can do it separately, which would you prefer?" they shrugged and she huffed. "I'm giving you a choice and you're throwing it away?" they shrugged again and she looked at Oliver expectantly since he was captain.

"As a team" he answered, rolling his eyes at the team. "Very well, today I think you should work on the drills you did yesterday, I need some time to get everything I need and I'll sort that out tonight. So starting players get to work and I'll talk to the reserves and tell them what they need to do" they looked at her. "Well what are you waiting for? You don't get paid to stand there looking like lemons, hop to it" she clapped her hands and then they looked at her amused and flew off.

She turned her attention to the reserves and told them what she wanted them to do and then they spent the rest of the morning training. When lunch was called, Hermione handed out the lunch she had made that morning and afterwards they returned to training until they had finished for the day.

"How is everyone?" Hermione asked.

"Fine, you're not as ruthless as I thought you'd be" Malloy spoke.

Hermione raised an eyebrow. "Why would you say that?"

"Because training was easy" he said with a tone of smugness.

"Well don't get used to it, you were clearly hung over and I didn't want you to injure yourselves. Plus, I don't have everything I need yet for what I want you to do, but I'm going to go tonight, whilst you go robe shopping with Oliver. But just you wait; tomorrow will be more challenging, I promise" she said grinning evilly.

Oliver was watching her carefully, something didn't seem right. But when he saw the evil grin she gave, he knew they were in for trouble. He was beginning to learn what different expressions meant and he had seen that evil grin once before; when she was taking about getting revenge on Rita Skeeter and whatever she had planned wouldn't bode well for the team and that he was sure of.

"Let's get going" Oliver spoke nervously and Hermione looked at him knowingly.

"What? Why? We're chatting with your lovely soon to be wife" Bishop spoke amused.

"Nope, we're leaving" he ordered everyone to leave and they headed to the locker room.

"So what are you going to do whilst I am gone?" Oliver asked Hermione.

"I'm going to go and get some things that I need for tomorrow"

"Is it going to hurt?"

"What makes you say that?"

"I saw the look on your face"

She grinned. "Yeah, it's going to hurt" he groaned. "Now off you go, you have to go robe shopping"

Muggle London

Oliver had decided that he wanted to go shopping in the muggle world first and luckily there was more than one half-blood on the team that was raised in the muggle world and they led the way. So after a quick trip to Gringotts and getting some money changed over they headed into muggle London. They were all wearing jeans and shirts so they didn't look out of place.

They were now in the shop and looking around for suits for the weddings, some of the team and his father had decided to wear muggle suits and the others had decided to wear robes, so they would go robe shopping in Diagon Alley afterwards.

Oliver was looking around the shop in shock. Every wall was lined with clothing racks filled with suits, shirts, ties and there was a whole section dedicated to socks and shoes.

"Can I help you gentlemen?" a middle aged man, with greying hair and green eyes asked as he walked over to the large group.

"Our buddy Oliver here is getting married" Pallie said clapping Oliver on the shoulder and Oliver rolled his eyes.

"I'm guessing that you're the best man" the man replied with a chuckle.

"That I am" he beamed.

"And you must be the father of the groom" the man said and he shook Mr Wood's hand.

"That's me"

"I'm Jimmy; I'll be your helper today. Now, when's the big day?"

"Fourteen days" Oliver replied and Jimmy's eyes widened.

"Better get to work then. What are you looking for?" Oliver shrugged. "What designer? Do you want a waist coat? A tie or bow tie? What material? Tail coat or waist length? Handmade and tailored or bought from the rack?" Oliver shrugged again and the man sighed. "For the love of Ralph Lauren" he muttered.

Pallie looked at Oliver. "Who?" he mouthed and Oliver shrugged.

"Versace would be rolling in his grave"

"Who?" Pallie mouthed again and once more Oliver shrugged.

"Okay, what colour do you want?"

"The colour scheme is white and blue"

"Ah, so you do know something, brilliant" the team chuckled.

"You seem to know what you're doing, I leave myself in your hands"

"Well at least we will get something done" the team chuckled again and Jimmy went off and began pulling items from the rack and they looked around the shop whilst he was busy.

"So, have you and Junior Coach gotten any closer lately?" Malloy asked wiggling his eyebrows suggestively and Oliver glared at him.

"Like I said before, that is none of your business"

"I'll take that as a no. What's taking you so long?"

"I told you, the situation we're in isn't exactly normal, I don't want to cross any boundaries and Hermione isn't the type of person to just sleep with me"

"Why not? You're The Oliver Wood? You can get any girl you want into your bed and she already lives with you. Imagine what she would look like naked, don't tell me you haven't thought about it. I bet she looks amazing" the team could see that Oliver was close to knocking Malloy on his arse. "Anyway, Melanie would sleep with you"

"That's because Hermione isn't Melanie. She is viscous, hateful and would sleep with anything that has a pulse and don't ever speak about Hermione that way again" he warned with a cold and dangerous tone to his voice.

"She's not that bad" Malloy argued.

"She's tried it on with everyone on the team" Malloy looked at everyone and they nodded to confirm Oliver's statement. "Hermione would never do that and if you ever bring it up again..."

"Okay, Malloy shut up, Oliver calm down" Mr Wood said stepping in front of the two squabbling men.

"You love her don't you?" Pallie said looking at Oliver with a cocked head.

"What?" Oliver said quickly and Pallie looked at him with a knowing look.

"I said you love her"

Oliver turned around and headed to the changing room to try on the suits Jimmy had pulled from the racks.

After trying on what felt like a hundred suits, Oliver settled on one. It was made from vitale, it was navy blue, with a waist length jacket and a navy blue waist coat. With it he got a white shirt and a blue tie that he would have his mother charm to match the colour of the flowers and he got brown dress shoes.

After assuring Jimmy that he knew someone who could alter the suit for him, he paid as did the others and then they left muggle London and headed back to Diagon Alley.

Diagon Alley

They entered Madam Malkin's and she immediately rounded on him.

"Mr Wood, what can I do for you?" she asked excitedly, seeing the chance of making plenty of galleons before closing.

"Some of the team need robes for my wedding, whilst I have something I need to pick" Oliver said, the team and his father looked at him questioningly, but he ignored them and left the shop and walked further down the cobblestone alley towards the wizarding jewellers. He entered the shop and the little bell above the door jingled, alerting the owner to a new customer.

When the owner came out from the back his eyes widened and he hurried forward to the squared 'u' shaped glass counter that housed every piece of jewellery with every metal and jewel you could think of.

"Mr Wood, what can I do for you?"

"I wish to look at your collection of engagement rings" the old man's eyes lit up.

"Of course, of course, this way" he walked along the length of the glass counter until they were both stood on the right side that housed the engagement and wedding jewellery.

"You looking for something for Miss Granger?" Oliver nodded. "I thought it wasn't a requirement of the law"

"It's not, but Hermione deserves a proper engagement and not a forced one. She doesn't care for material possessions, but she's getting a ring whether she likes it or not"

"Do you have price range in mind?"

"No, money's no problem; I just don't want something that is far too ostentatious and big. A little's okay, but knowing Hermione she'll make me bring it back if it's too flashy" Oliver said peering through the cabinet. If at all possible, the owner's eyes would've lit up more.

"Well we have several options. We have platinum, rose gold, yellow gold, white gold, and silver. We also have different cuts with princess, pear, emerald, asscher, round, radiant, marquise, heart, oval and cushion. Then there are the different gemstones. We have sapphires, emeralds, diamonds, rubies, aquamarines, topazes, opals, onyxes, pearls, garnets and tanzanites"

"What's a tanzanite?" he asked confused.

"Tanzanite is a rare gemstone that was discovered in the sixties and it's one thousand times rarer than diamonds, and it has the rare blue-purple colour" he explained pointing out the only engagement ring with the gemstone.

Oliver looked at the showcase with a clueless look on his face and it amused the owner.

"First things first, you want to choose the metal"

"Right, I don't know... I think white gold" the shop owner nodded and wrote it down.

"Next we should look at the gemstones, depending on how you want the ring to appear. We can have one made for you and you can pick it up in a few days if you don't wish to purchase any of the rings on show"

Oliver thought it over; having one made instead of buying one definitely had its merits. "Okay then, I want one made up"

"Excellent choice, it's more meaningful and you can design the ring to your liking" Oliver nodded. "So a white gold band, now each gemstone has a different meaning" he quickly summarised each gemstone meaning.

"Can I have more than one gemstone?"

"Of course Mr Wood, we offer trilogy rings which consist of three stones, usually either one or two different gemstones, with one large centre stone and two side complementary stones"

"Based on the meanings, I want to include three different gemstones somehow. Tanzanite, ruby and diamond"

"And how would you like to incorporate them?"

"A heart shaped ruby as the centre piece and two round diamonds, one on either side and then tanzanite embedded in the band"

"Completely or halfway?"

"Halfway"

"I'll draw up a design for you now" the shop owner drew up a sketch of what the ring would look like as a finished result.

"That's perfect" Oliver said proudly.

"I forgot to mention, tanzanite is a transmutation stone, meaning it will change colour. It will start of a lilac-blue, before turning to a sapphire-blue, finally setting on a deep violet-blue" Oliver nodded, with a small smile, Hermione would like that. "What carat gold do you want?"

Oliver shrugged and then looked at the chart on the wall. "Eighteen"

"Since tanzanite is a rare stone I will have to get in touch with my contacts and have some sent here. You can pick the ring up Monday"

"Monday? Seriously?"

"Yes Mr Wood, we only offer the best services here" the owner said proudly. "So to recap, we have an eighteen carat white gold band trilogy ring, with a heart shaped ruby and two round diamonds and tanzanite embedded halfway around the band"

Oliver signed off on the design and thanked the man before leaving the shop with a small smile on his face.

He quickly popped into Flourish and Blotts and grabbed a few books on Animagi and then had them sent off to the apartment, before he returned to Madam Malkin's.

"Where have you been? You've been gone over an hour" Mr Wood asked as Oliver entered the shop and made his way over to him.

"Just had some errands to run" he replied casually and his dad gave him a look that told him he didn't believe a word he was saying, but he dropped the subject.

"Well everyone has got what they needed and are about ready to leave"

"Hey, Wood, I've been thinking" Thompson said.

"That's dangerous" Oliver muttered, remembering Hermione said the same thing to him not long back.

"When are we going to be invited to see your apartment?"

"You're not; I don't want you to know where I live. I have to put up with you at work; I don't want you turning up at my apartment when you feel like it"

"What? Come on" he then smirked. "I bet the future Mrs Wood would invite us over"

"I doubt she will, she likes her privacy seeing as she has less of it than I do and that's saying something"

"I'll persuade her"

"You can try, but Hermione Granger is the most stubborn person I have ever met"
