Gone

*Not all of this is Let it Go, where the song starts and ends will be marked with "******" *

She had messed up bad, real bad.

Elsa stood in a blinding white alcove of wilderness, miles of blanketed forests around her. She had been walking for miles now, her feet aching and her heels pulsating with unrest, but she HAD to keep moving.

She had too.

The sun had now dipped below the line of the earth, and a deep blue glow illuminated the night, the wind howling amongst the swirling snowflakes.

At this point Elsa had no idea if it was the natural weather causing the fall or her own power, but she didn't care, even more or less so she didn't even think about it. She just kept moving.

The flatland turned to hills, and eventually rose into cycling boulders rising above the sky. She had trenched her path all the way down to the mountains...nearly 4-5 hours away.

Had she been running that long?

Obviously not or her body would have collapsed; she did vaguely remember stopping and walking but she couldn't focus, only one thought ran through her mind, keep moving and get away.

She slowly headed up the bank of the mountain, coming to a stop on top of a small ridge. Her head gazed at the circle of boulders which incased the area, blocking her from civilization. No towns for miles, it was perfect, perfect for her.

She felt her heart plummet into a plinth of vast deep blues, a blank almost inward cry slowly screaming in her chest.

What had she done?

She harmed an innocent someone who-

She provoked you.

That's still no reason to attack her.

She threatened Anna!

Elsa sighed; it truly was no use in arguing with herself. She had hurt someone, and now everyone figured she was probably some sort of monster, a beast that needed to be caged.

She tightly wrapped her arms around herself, shuddering not from the cold, but from herself.

She knew she had done wrong, but she had to keep living right? There was no escape from this, what was done was done, and she couldn't hide from her actions.

She felt a burbling form of comfort rise in her lungs, a scarce feeling she herself couldn't nor didn't want to understand. But she allowed it to fill her, and before she stopped walking she took a deep breath, debating in whether or not to do this.

"******"

"The snow glows white on the mountain tonight, not a footprint to be seen. A kingdom of isolation, and it looks like I'm the Queen."

The snow had slowed to a gentle breeze, a few flakes falling slowly towards Elsa's lithe form.

"The wind is howling like this swirling storm inside. Couldn't keep it in, heaven knows I tried."

How could she have been so stupid...?

"Don't let them in; don't let them see. Be the good girl you always have to be. Conceal, don't feel, don't let them know…Well, now they know."

They knew, and there was nothing she could do about it. She stood there in the middle of no were, surrounded by dense mountains and banks of snow, and she realized, all of this HAPPENED.

She couldn't control it, she tried, and she failed, but truly could she affect that anymore? She couldn't change what happened, so why should she let it hold her down? This weight wasn't going to cling to her anymore.

"Let it go, let it go, Can't hold it back anymore. Let it go, let it go, Turn away and slam the door."

20 years of torture, 20 years of hiding behind doors, all gone, she was finally, truly finally able to be free. Her clipped wings were healed, and our snow princess finally had realized the queen she had become.

"I don't care-"

She outstretched her hands, her arms flying to the left. A flurry sprung out, waves of everlasting snow cascading over the frozen landscape.

"-what they're going to say."

Another one to her left.

"Let the storm rage on, the cold never bothered me anyway."

Snow flurried from her hands as she sang, orchestrating her words with a beautiful display of swirling light, this was right, this was her. She smiled a true, smile. No hidden actions, no masks, no shame, Elsa finally had shown herself.

"It's funny how some distance, Makes everything seem small."

She slowly turned around as she kept walking along the bank of snow, her eyes staring towards the east, towards the academy, her life of cowardly shame and bit lips.

"And the fears that once controlled me…can't get to me at all!"

She spun on her heel, breaking into a sprint despite her fatigue, skidding to a stop at the edge of the ridge, a deep gorge swallowing the darkness below her.

"It's time to see what I can do, to test the limits and break through."

She etched her hands out, snow sparked from her fingertips and crafting a platform directly over the cliff.

"No right, no wrong, no rules for me."

She stepped forwards into the platform, a shaking step but a leap of faith, she trusted herself. The snow blew apart, echoing in its place a sleek staircase of ice.

"I'm free."

Her arms span like the sky, she flew across the snow, spawning and creating snow into an ice wound staircase, her smile never once leaving her face.

"Let it go, let it go, I am one with the wind and sky. Let it go, let it go, you'll never see me cry."

Her flurry of a white powdered staircase led her to a new bank, directly below the curve of the tip of the mountain, had she really walked that far? She however was too lost in her song to care. As she ran to the center, the thoughts of the onlooker's faces flashed in her head, their judgment, and their hatred. She knew it wouldn't hold her down any longer.

"Here I stand-"

She slammed her foot down, a loud crack resonating from the stomp and a magnificent pan of ice spread from her touch. The tips spun outwards, crafting its shape into a verdant placed snowflake, its precise design blown up 10 fold.

"- And here I'll stay. Let the storm rage on..."

A thought sprung in her head, but was it possible? She had never done anything like this on this scale, but this night had been full of surprises, why not try?

She lifted her hands, feeling the snow's heartbeat respond to her command. The ice covered snowflake lifted from the ground as a platform, pillars of blue coated frost holding the beast upwards. Ice and snow sprung from the outer edges, crafting walls and dimensions entirely unseen.

"My power flurries through the air into the ground."

Her hands outstretched to the walls, crafting doorways and arches towering overhead before channeling her power to the ground, coating it in another layer of solid ice, so intently placed that the light reflected in it as exactly as she wanted it too, leaving the floor glowing with a soft purple and blue haze. She flipped her wrists, blue sparks and trails of magic spiraling from her standing point, spreading outwards and into the walls.

"My soul is spiraling in frozen fractals all around."

They transversed over the cold stone, imprinting immaculate designs and shapes, they traveled their way to the ceiling, forming the ice frosted tower and joining into one single unit in the center.

"And one thought crystallizes like an icy blast..."

It pulled downwards, squared beauty plunging from nowhere, she had created a chandelier, completely overtaking nearly half the ceiling; it was enormous!

She let her hands fall, her work on her new home finished.

"I'm never going back..."

She reached into her neck line, pulling out a chain engraved with the word "sisters" on it. Anna had given it to her when they were 5, and she still cherished it to this day. But no longer, no more, this was done. If her life was to be as if she never knew any of them, then so be it.

"The past is in the past."

She flung it across the room, its copper hitting the ice and clinging somewhere unknown. She clinched her fists and clamped her eyes, this was it, this was where Elsa became to be, became...Elsa.

"Let it go, let it go,-"

She ripped her hair from hood, fingering and letting it drape over her shoulder, the tense charade of stuck up shoulders being done. She flicked her hands upwards, and her magic danced underneath of her jeans and shoes, slowly trailing up her form.

"- and I'll rise like the break of dawn. Let it go, let it go, the perfect girl is gone."

Her normal attire was threaded and sown together with magic, blue swirls of snow decked her now frosted white jeans. Her clothes hung looser, her jacket now endorsed with imprints of snowflakes. Her blouse essentially extended its reach, flowing past her hips almost dress like, and the snowflakes on her jacket spun outwards, morphing the jacket into a see through like material. It was blended with seemingly frost itself, and the sparkles danced perfectly with her pale white skin.

Elsa was finally here.

She charged outwards towards the balcony she had made to overlook the mountaintops, a slight shake to her hips and a boulder like grin on her face; Elsa was free.

"Here I stand, In the light of day. Let the storm rage on!"

The wind cut silent as she raised her arms outwards on the last note, all of nature and it's beloved essence gaping in awe at the snow queen and her castle.

"The cold never bothered me anyway"

This was the beginning of a new life.

"Elsa..." Jack whispered as he walked the path she trailed, his foot about to leave pavement. A gentle hand to his shoulder stopping him, he turned around to see Rapunzel standing there along with a few others such as Merida and Flynn. The courtyard had long been forgotten, and only a handful of people were still piling out the wreckage. Anna had been led out mostly against her shouts about Elsa, and taken to the infirmary along with Victoria to have her small burns patched up.

"Jack, we can't have you running off too..." Rapunzel said

"But Elsa she-"

"Elsa will be fine. She...needs some time to herself. You running after her might make her run even more, just give it to tomorrow. Let her have a few hours to herself and then a good night's rest." Rapunzel said to him.

Jack sighed as he glanced back towards the forest, the dense haze overcrowded with darkness, dusk settling into the home.

"I hope you're right Rapunzel..."

But Elsa wouldn't return, nor would she see the others again for some time.

"Anna, um...how's Elsa?" Jack asked as the gang had its usual morning meet up in the cafeteria. He stepped over to their table, pulling himself up a chair by the strawberry blonde girl.

"She...wasn't there when I woke up..."

"What?" Jack asked standing up, well, more like jolted.

"She never came back..." Anna gulped down, her eyes cast downwards and nearly closed.

Jack's eyes grew wide with blank parity as he took in the situation.

"I,-we, I have to find her!" Jack said exasperated getting the attention from the rest of their table.

"You can't just go on there on your own Jack!" Rapunzel said as she stared the white haired albino down.

But he had already flicked off, his shoulders brimming across the air as it parted to let him through.

A sharp jolt to the back sent him to a stop, and he spun around to see Merida and the rest of the group behind him in a flurry.

"You idiot you can't just go out there on your own!" The red head belted. "You won't make it! Are you thinking clearly?!"

Jack gritted his teeth, his mouth quipped to a fine line, and his low eyes nearly shut with vigilance and sharp with presence.

His words spoke with authority and clear madness as he turned dark to his friends, a lining arching over his form.

"Watch me."
