Ravenpaw brought back the moss, and was heading straight back towards Yellowfang's side of camp; when he was shoved into by Graypaw. The solid gray tom tussled with Ravenpaw on the ground. Ravenpaw struggled a little, but did managed to get Graypaw off. the two lay there laughing, when a stern huff came from behind.

Ravenpaw raised his head, expecting Tigerclaw to be there. But it was Lionheart, he held in his jaws the bundle of moss Ravenpaw was carrying. "Oh, sorry Lionheart; but Graypaw was the one to shove me first." Ravenpaw apologized to the tom.

Lionheart looked at him; there was no harshness in his golden eyes. "Well now, perhaps my apprentice should spend more time assessing a situation than just jumping into battle." Lionheart meowed, turning his head to look Graypaw dead in the eye. Graypaw nodded, his pelt smoothing back but his head was high. The proud apprentice he was.

Ravenpaw still kept his head low to the ground as Lionheart leaned down to hand him the moss. He then hustled back over to his original destination. Yellowfang was there, she was positioned at a point where she could've seen the whole thing; and she now had an amused look on her face. "Well, who is your friend there, haven't seen him at gatherings before." She meowed, that look still on her face.

Ravenpaw began making the old moss into a small ball, and threw it into a far corner to make room for the new moss. "His name's Graypaw, he's very self-confident." He responded.

"Ah, so that is more of the apprentice I expect from this clan; what happened to make you so unsure?" Yellowfang asked.

Ravenpaw looked at her; he opened his maw to explain, but closed it and thought it through. "I just didn't have a lot of confidence as a kit." he responded.

Yellowfang seemed a little surprise. "And how about your… mentor? He seems a little, rude."

Ravenpaw didn't respond, and sat down. "Is there anything else you need?" he politely asked.

Yellowfang stared at him, a little angry at the refusal of an answer. "No, but I would like to have some rest," she answered, "how about you go and make yourself useful for the rest of your clan, Leafbare is approaching fast and prey will go below ground."

Ravenpaw nodded, and slowly turned around to walk away. He gave one last look at the she-cat; who did indeed seem tired as she began to rest her head on her paws; and walked away towards the camp entrance. With the camp as lively as ever, Whitestorm noticed Ravenpaw and gave a warm smile.

Ravenpaw approached Tigerclaw, the massive tom was not pleased to be disturbed. "What?" he growled.

Ravenpaw sat down. "Is there anything I can do?" he asked meekly.

Tigerclaw raised his head. "You have a prisoner to attend to." he answered, amber eyes narrowed.

"She said she needs rest, so I'm giving her the time to do so." He answered, eyes low to the massive tom's paws.

Tigerclaw grunted. "Then you may as well hunt down at Snake Rocks, the clan needs the food and don't feed any other ShadowClan cats." he snarled.

Ravenpaw nodded, not arguing or anything just obeying what Tigerclaw told him to do. The camp entrance approached, but he could hear the pawsteps of Tigerclaw following him.

He emerged and walked off towards Snake Rocks, while tigerclaw headed off in a different direction. The tall trees loomed over him, and his paws trembled as he feared Tigerclaw might actually be following him every step of the way.

As he approached it, he could smell a strong scent; a scent that he knew all too well from several moons ago.

Fox!
