Okay, Hi! I'm really late with all my stories but I have a reason. I just moved from Ontario to British Columbia (across the second largest country in the world. Whoopee!) Anyways, it tied my hands a little but I'm back with this...interesting update. Muahahahaha! It's short but I hope you enjoy! :)

"Good morning, baby," Sonic whispered sweetly in my ear.

I yawned, stretching out my arms and rubbing my eyes until they agreed to open. When I was fully aware of my surroundings I saw Sonic's smiling face, hovering above mine.

"Good morning," I replied sleepily.

His smile widened at my girlish voice and he chuckled lightly.

"I love you," he spoke lowly.

I giggled, pulling him in closer until our lips met in a quick, sugary kiss.

"I love you too."

He pulled away, looking me over. I felt his hand brush away a quill so he could look me in the eyes. He grinned.

"Guess who has dinner reservations for your favourite restaurant," he said proudly.

I sat up and looked at him shocked.

"Donna's?" I asked.

Sonic nodded.

It was nearly impossible to get into Donna's. It was the hottest new Italian restaurant on the scene. I had only been able to go once with Rouge. She was dating the manager and he agreed to pull a couple strings to get us in there. The food was just...indescribable. Ever since Rouge and the other guy's somewhat messy breakup I couldn't get in though. You needed connections and I no longer had any. Sonic truly was a miracle worker.

But why? He would've had to go through an obstacle course to get a table. Was it a monthiversary or something? No, it couldn't have been. We were too old for that high school monthiversary stuff. Then what was it?

"Is there a special occasion I'm forgetting about?" I asked him, a little worried.

"Every day I spend with you is a special occasion," he told me gently.

He pecked another kiss at my lips and I responded eagerly. My fingers tangled in quills as I fuelled the fire with my passion. I pulled Sonic back under the covers and he was all too happy to satisfy me. Skin on skin, the best kind of friction I could imagine. Moans, groans, the only music we needed. Fire, oh that inextinguishable flame, that made me want more and more until the pressure became too much. His name flying from my lips. His eyes rolling back in bliss. Pure, sensual ecstasy. Then it's done.

"By the way," he moaned in my ear, "happy Valentines Day."

Oooooooh. That's why.

"You have plans with your boy toy?" Rouge asked me at lunch with a smile.

I nodded. "Dinner at Donna's."

Rouge gasped. "No way! That's amazing! Who'd he have to cozy up with to get in?"

I rolled my eyes. "No one. He just made reservations ahead of time."

"Ahead of time by five years?"

` I laughed, shaking my head.

He probably just walked in with his oh-so charming smile and dazzled his way into a table. I sighed at the thought. It honestly wouldn't be too farfetched for him. He could sweet talk his way into anything...including me.

"Hun, you're blushing like a sinner in Church. Something wrong?"

I was snapped back to reality by Rouge.

"No," I waved it aside. "Just thinking."

My dirty-minded friend smirked. "About tonight."

About this morning actually but she doesn't need to know that. "Something along those lines."

"Hoe," she coughed.

I ignored her, focusing on my shitty office coffee. Seriously, the cafe made way better stuff than this. Sonic couldn't meet me there for lunch though. He got a pretty urgent sounding call this morning after breakfast and said he'd be booked until dinner tonight. My ears drooped and I frowned. I wished I could just skip work today, spend every hour of the lover's holiday with Sonic. That was not the way things worked, unfortunately. Today I'd just have to be patient. Knowing Sonic he'd have something beautiful planned for the two of us.

Sonic tapped his finger nervously against the table at Donna's. I watched as the table quaked with his jumpy leg bumping into it as well. Something about my boyfriend seemed off. Was he planning something. I smirked from behind my menu, trusting his judgement. He probably had one surprise or another lined up for tonight but his nervousness was just for everything to go well.

"What are you going to have?" Sonic asked.

I smiled at him. "The spinach-cheese ravioli is good and their marinara sauce is just perfect. I think I'll have that."

He made a bit of a face and grunted in response. "Spinach?"

I closed my menu and looked him in the eye.

"Spinach," I confirmed proudly.

"Are you sure your not some kind of alien?" Sonic questioned me. "Because regular people don't like spinach."

I rolled my eyes. "No, actually, regular people don't spinach. It's children that don't like it, Sonic."

"Are you calling me a child?"

I smirked and shrugged, refusing to give a direct answer. "Take from it what you will."

Sonic leaned in close on the table and beckoned me over with the wag of a finger. I leaned in close as well so we were nose-to-nose. He pressed his lips gently against mine as a familiar heat rose in my gut.

"Was that nice?" Sonic asked, pulling away.

I just nodded, a blush rising to my cheek at the mere thought of even the slightest peck.

"Am I still a child?"

I nodded still, leaning back in my chair and smiling in triumph. Not even his seductive tensions could change my mind.

"Interesting," he mumbled under his breath, sitting straight again and looking at his menu. "I guess you're a pedophile then."

If I had water I would have done a spit take.

He smiled at me as though he had said nothing. "What is it darling? Cat got your tongue."

"You are so-"

"Childish?" He wondered. "So I've been told. That's why you like me though, right."

"Creep," I muttered.

"I heard that."

"You were meant to."

"May I take your order?" A server came just in time to save me.

I smiled at her. "I'll take a glass of Moet and Chandon champagne and the spinach ravioli with marinara sauce."

The waitress nodded and turned to Sonic. "And for you, sir?"

Sonic flashed me a huge smile and a maniacal chuckle. "Chocolate milk and the kids sized cheese pizza."

Our waitress gawked. I glared.

"Are you certain, sir?" She tried again. "Would you not like to reconsider?"

"I don't know," Sonic said pointedly. "That depends. Amy, would you like to reconsider?"

He batted his eyes like the child he was, begging for a cookie. I dared not to say anything though. My options were clear. Keep my pride and lose face as the girl who dates the adult who eats kids meals or admit I was wrong, which I wasn't and carry on with dinner in a normal fashion. I made my decision easily.

"Fine," I quipped sarcastically. "You're not a child. You're a hot hunk of burning man. Now, can you please order something normal?"

Sonic smiled.

"Isn't she a sweetheart?" He asked the waitress, nodding towards me.

She giggled, finally starting to understand what was going on. "Certainly, sir."

"I'll have what she's having," he said. "But switch the champagne with a sprite."

"Spinach and all?" I teased.

He nodded. "Spinach and all."

The night progressed fairly well. We had the usual debate on random, trivial things and made the occasional goo-goo eyes at each other. It made me feel warm and delightfully fuzzy...then fuzziness went a little—how do I say it?—south.

That night was pretty typical of us. We just made it to the bed and we were at it again. Our clothes were sprawled out on the floor. There was really no care when we threw them off. We moved and together, eventually falling out of the bed and onto the floor. My fall was cushioned by a pair of pants and we just kept on. Resilient aren't?

Oh, why am I talking about love making in such a unsentimental, almost bitter way? You'll see.

Moans after groans of each others name were passed between us, along with a couple things I sure as Hell wouldn't want my mother to hear. We were reaching the brink and as we came so did the most awkward moment of our lives.

"SSSSSSSSOOOOOOOONNNNNNIIIIIIIIIIIIICCCCCCC!"

Why was that weird? Oh well, because it wasn't me!

Our eyes went wide and our faces flushed a bright red. What the fuck just happened. The sound seemed to come from beneath me, inside Sonic's pants. I sat up and watched as Sonic reached his hand into his pocket to take out his phone. It was on. I had butt dialled someone in the middle of...oh God!

He started to hold his phone up to his ear.

"Don't answer," I mouthed. "Don't."

"Hello," he squeaked timidly.

I face palmed. No! No! No! That was not happening!

Sonic's eyes bulged out of his head as he hung up and practically whipped the phone across the room.

I eyed him worriedly. "Who was it?"

Sonic gulped and smiled timidly. "So, honey? How do you feel about meeting my mother?"

IT WAS HIS MOTHER?

How much abuse do I have to inflict on Sonic and Amy before I'm satisfied? The answer, an infinite amount. :P
