Prompt: Jeyna Roommate AU

A heavy sigh echoed down the hall, perking Jason's ears. Heels clacked against the hardwood as Reyna appeared, tugging her ponytail free. Dark curls fell down her shoulders in waves. She wore a flattering mini dress with a low cut. Her shoulders drooped like the weight of something heavy pressed against them. "Bad date?" Jason asked as he lowered the volume of his video game.

Reyna didn't answer as she kicked her heels underneath their kitchen table. She massaged her neck as she wandered into the kitchen. Jason heard the refrigerator open before slamming shut and clinking of silverware. She came out with a pint of cookies and cream before falling beside him. "Are you going to share?" Jason asked, trying to lighten the mood.

"Maybe." Reyna whispered as she opened the lid and dug her spoon into the sweet treat. "I swear, this is the last time I'm agreeing to a group date with Rachel." Jason chuckled as he paused his game to face her. Make-up dusted her face lightly, accenting her high cheeks and full lips. Her dress rode up, showing her smooth mile long legs which she stretched across his lap. "I love her to death but artsy guys are not my type. I feel like a giant around them."

What is your type? Jason wondered as he ran his fingers up and down her leg out of habit. She ate a bit of ice cream, nibbling on her spoon. "Go change." Jason ordered as he pinched her calf. "Looking at you makes me tired." She smiled in response, swing her legs off of his lap before standing up.

"I should have just stayed in and played Halo with you." She replied, brushing her hand against Jason's shoulders as she walked towards her room. "A much better way to spend the evening." Jason watched her walk into her room. He waited a moment, scooping a bit of ice cream as he thought. He could hear her rustling in her room as he un-paused his game. Jason took a breath, trying to keep the nerves out of his voice.

"Maybe you should just date me?" Jason raised his voice, knowing she could hear him. The rustling stopped. The only sounds he could hear were the alien screams and shooting from his video game. Did I ruin everything? He wondered as Reyna appeared, poking her head out. A nervous expression looked quite cute on her face. "Reyna," Jason whispered, smiling towards her as he placed his controller down.

"Are you serious?" She asked, stepping out in yoga pants, fuzzy socks and a large purple hoodie. Her face was free of make up. She honestly looked better this way in Jason's opinion. He blinked, recognizing the hoodie.

"You're already stealing my clothes." He mentioned, nodding at her outfit. She pouted and tucked her hands into her pockets.

"You know guy's hoodies are infinitely more comfy than girl's." Reyna countered as she sat beside him, placing her hand on his knee. Jason faced her with a honest expression. "Jason, you're not joking right?" Jason grabbed her hand and squeezed it tightly.

"You know, you said the same thing when I asked you to be my roommate." Jason remembered with a fond smile. It was on a whim. Reyna just moved into the city. Percy just moved out of Jason's apartment. "We did it out of convenience but we haven't killed each other yet." Reyna laughed, giving him a look. They did have a few intense arguments at first but who doesn't. "We have something good right now. But I know there's something even better if we try. What do you say, Reyna? Are you willing to try with me?" Reyna pursed her lips as she rolled the idea in her mind. She inched towards him, cupping Jason's cheek tenderly.

"Yeah but I'm keeping your hoodie." Reyna answered with a grin. Jason laughed and pulled her close for a hug. She curled against his side, smiling widely.

"Fine. It looks better on you anyways." Jason whispered into her ear as she hugged him back tightly.
