This is it, the time when we find out if all those hours spent studying was a success or a complete waste. Hiccup fiddled with his thumbs as he waited for the results, tomorrow his dad was coming home and all Hiccup wanted is to make him proud…. At least until he breaks the news that Hiccup was gonna pursue his dreams but he'll figure that out later, right now his main problem was his test results
"Alright class, you may take a look at yer test papers now" Merida said. Hiccup closed his eyes as he flipped the paper over.
You can do this, just open your eyes Hiccup thought. He took a deep breath and slowly opened his eyes. On the paper was a big fat….. A+
Hiccup couldn't believe it. His mouth was going up and down but no words came out. He soon broke into a grin, it took every fiber in his body to not jump and yell "YEAH BABY!"
RRRIIIINNNNGGG!
The bell rang to Hiccup's delight. He slung his bag over his shoulders and made his way to the cafeteria where he found Astrid, Jamie and a new girl sitting at the table. He quickly rushed forward and engulfed Astrid in a hug and sneaked a quick peck on her cheek since no one knows that they were dating… well except for Jamie and the girl beside him.
"What was the hug for?" Astrid chuckled as he sat down next to her. Hiccup smiled as he turned his attention to Jamie
"Well thanks to this guy right here, I passed the test!" Hiccup announced making the two erupt in cheers.
"I have no idea what you're talking about but congrats" the girl said. She had jet black hair and green eyes. She wore a long sleeved green blouse, a brown belt is shown holding up her brown jeans and combat boots
"Thanks, um you new here?" Hiccup asked her. She nodded
"Yeah, I'm Heather by the way" she said smiling. Hiccup smiled back as he wrapped an arm around Astrid who leaned in unaware that a certain gang was coming by
"Hah! I won" Ruffnut yelled in glee surprising the couple who jerked apart. Tuffnut grumbled as he handed her 20 bucks
"So you two dating?" Fishlegs inquired as they sat down at the table. Hiccup and Astrid blushed as they nodded. Tuffnut made a long low whistle
"Man Snotlout better not find out" he said while playing with his food
"Hey Tuff, aren't you like best buds with Snotty?" Astrid questioned raising her brow. She spat Snotlout's name as if it was acid. Tuffnut scowled
"He and I aren't pals anymore. Sure he was a jerk and I was fine with that…. Until he tried to uh rape you" Tuffnut said whispering at the end but Ruffnut heard every single detail
"He what?!" Ruffnut said agitatedly.
"Woah Ruff, chill I'm fine… thanks to this guy over here" Astrid said smiling sweetly at Hiccup who blushed. Ruffnut still wanted to cut off Snotlout's "Stuff" but she calmed down a bit
"Hey I uh gotta go" Jamie said standing up. He still was kinda awkward around people he didn't know personally which was surprising since Heather stated that Jamie talked to her first
"Oh I'll come with you" Heather said standing up as well. Jamie stuttered nervously
"Oh um, I'll just be staying at the library" He said. Heather laughed as she placed her hand on his shoulders. He blushed at the contact
"It's alright, I love to read anyways! Come on" she said grabbing his hand. He blushed even more as she dragged him out. Hiccup laughed quietly, the guy had a crush and it was obvious the girl was crushin on him as well

It was a bit late at night by the time Hiccup went home, he spent most of his afternoon at the club introducing Jamie to Toothless and Gobber. As Hiccup closed the door his eyes widened at the surprise that met him
"Dad" he said quietly. And true to his words Stoick was there at the dining table with Mcdonalds on the table
"Hiccup! There you are son, Yer report card just came in and I have to say you did pretty well in yer test!" Stoick said engulfing Hiccup in an awkward hug
"I'm so proud of ye son" he whispered. Hiccup cringed as he heard this, it was the one word he wanted to hear come out of his father's mouth but this wasn't how he imagined it.
"Umm Yeah dad, that's great" Hiccup said as Stoick set him down.
"Now that you're doing so well in Legal Stu, we finally have something to talk about" Stoick beamed at him. Hiccup shuffled his feet awkwardly as silence filled the room. Stoick's smile faltered a bit
"Oh um here" Stoick said handing Hiccup a small box. "Yer mother wanted you to have it, I just waited for the perfect time to give it to ye" Stoick explained. Hiccup gazed at the small box as he opened it. And there he saw was a necklace, it had a black figure of a dragon that resembled a Night Fury and had silver chains holding the necklace together
"Wow, thanks dad- or mom" Hiccup breathed out as he wore the necklace and admired it. Stoick smiled before going back to the dining table
"Come on son! Let's eat" Stoick said bringing out the chicken, burgers and sodas. Hiccup sighed as he clutched the necklace in his hand
If only you were proud of me for being me dad Hiccup thought sadly as he made he joined his father.
Sorry if it was short, I've been having trouble with school and I didn't really thought this through
BTW if you've seen the things in the website can you agree with me that DreamWorks amped up the romance between Hiccup and Astrid? The scene was soooo sweet! I can't wait til June cause I get to look forward to my Bday and HTTYD 2!
