~Sasuke's POV~

Naruto and I were catching fish, Naruto was cliff diving so I could pin the fish with my kunai.

"Do it again, we need to have food for later, five fish isn't enough." I said to him. When he didn't comply I said it again. "Do it five more times, your moron," I said to him.

"This is really tiring! You do it!" He angrily splashed.

"Sasuke! It's all set up for the fire, we just need a fire ball please!" Sakura called out.

"I guess five fish is enough," I shrugged.

"Wait a second, hey!" Naruto yelled. Tamotsu came up.

"Just get over here, blondie!" Tamotsu growled. I wonder what has him in a bad mood. He's been a little edgy since we fought Orochimaru, maybe he's even more worried for Tenshi. I looked over at Tenshi who was sitting on the rocks holding her knees to her chest. Ever since our last battle, she's been avoiding me…did I scare her that much? I walked up to Tamotsu.

"Tamotsu, is Tenshi all right?" I asked. Tamotsu looked at her then at me.

"She told me…" he trailed off. I looked at him sternly.

"'She told you' what, Tamotsu?" I asked him. He sighed.

"She told me that she was scared you would go after Orochimaru," he told me. I looked over at her and frowned. "Orochimaru said you would go after him to gain more power, she's scared that you'll actually do it. She's also scared that you'll leave just to join him for revenge against your brother," Tamotsu told me. I looked at him shocked. She really feels that way? Tamotsu and I sat down by Naruto and Sakura at the campfire and waited for the fish. I started talking about how it's our fourth afternoon and we only had about twenty-five to about twenty-six hours left. We started eating our fish while Tamotsu took Tenshi hers. She hasn't even looked our way. Tamotsu's ears flattened and he walked back and sat by Naruto.

"What's up, Tamotsu?" Naruto frowned.

"I'm worried about Tenshi. She's closing herself off, last time she did that was when we lost her village to that snake," he said growling the word 'snake'. Naruto pet Tamotsu's head.

"She'll come around, maybe seeing him just bring up bad memories that she needs to sort out," Naruto told him. Tamotsu nodded and laid down. We still have to find the other scroll, but there's a chance we might not get it. At least according to Sakura that is. All I know is, the next enemy is our last chance. I grabbed the canteen and went to get some water and then looked at Tenshi. I walked up to her and sat next to her.

"Tenshi, the others and I are worried about you, especially Tamotsu," I told her. She looked at me then looked away.

"So…are you going to do it?" She asked me. I gave her a confused look and she sighed. "Are you going to join that murderous snake just to gain power?" She growled lowly. I was shocked, she never talked like this to me before, but I didn't answer, I didn't know how to. She scoffed. "I figured, enjoy being around that pathetic, low-life, murdering, snake. Make sure to say 'hi' to my family when he kills you," she growled walking towards the others. My eyes widened, when did she get so cold? Especially towards me? I looked at her and her Taiingan was activated and I saw that Naruto was going to open the scroll. She then screamed and held her head in pain. I rushed over to her with the others and she grabbed the scroll in Naruto's hand.

"Naruto, don't you dare open this unless you want to die," she groaned in pain.

"She's right, you shouldn't do that, did you forget the rules?" Kabuto said puffing up. I looked at Tenshi and saw that she passed out. "The pain must have been too much for her, she saw what happened to the other team who opened theirs causing her to feel their pain combined," Kabuto said. I told Kabuto to fight me. Naruto and Sakura tried to stop me, but I guess I'm too stubborn. But instead, he declined and decided to help us, I picked up Tenshi and carried her on my back. We started running right then.

"Sasuke…don't leave me…don't leave me…alone," she said in her sleep. She's really scared about me leaving. Tenshi…if I do leave…it's to protect you and to avenge what you've lost. Sakura looked at her worried.

"Will Tenshi be okay?" She asked me. I looked at Tenshi and frowned.

"I don't know," I murmured. I then looked at Kabuto. "Are there really enemies left?" I asked.

"Yes, no doubt about it. Just think about it, do you know the smartest fighting tactic in a fighting area like this jungle?" He asked me. I didn't really know, but I knew Tenshi would. "The goal to the test is the tower, right? So, when there is only one day left, the easiest place to get a scroll is near the tower," He told us.

"Oh! I see, an ambush. So basically, we go after a team that has assembled both the 'Heaven' and the 'Earth' scrolls is heading for the tower!" Sakura said.

"You're one third correct," Kabuto said to her. "I mean that you're not the only guys thinking that. There should be others in your situation already waiting at the tower with set traps," Kabuto said. of course…Naruto gets excited that there is going to be a fight, I looked at Tenshi, I'm worried about her, I wonder what's going on in her head.

~Tenshi's POV~

After I told Naruto not to open the scroll, Kabuto showed up. But, unfortunately, I lost consciousness. I woke up seeing the gate of Konoha. I saw Sasuke leaving and I ran after him.

"Sasuke! Don't leave me! Please! Don't leave me alone!" I cried. Tears were running down my face, this can't be real! This is just a bad dream! A nightmare! Please, someone wake me up! That's when Sasuke showed up behind me and hugged me.

"I'm sorry, Angel, I'm just doing this to gain power to avenge my clan…I'm doing this for you. I love you, I want to protect you, and I couldn't do that in the forest. But if I gain power, I'll be able to protect you and avenge both of what we lost. I'm sorry…I love you," he whispered in my ear. He turned me around and kissed me then suddenly, everything was black. I looked around and saw a light, I ran to it and found some older teens looking like they're ready to fight. I walked up and saw Sasuke, he looked to be about fifteen, maybe sixteen. He was even more handsome now. "So, bringing Tenshi here is a way to persuade me to come back, is it not?" He asked.

"No! She's here to help bring you back not only for herself, but for everyone! You're I don't just kill you for breaking her heart!" Naruto shouted. I was in too much shock, is this really all going to happen? It can't! This can't be our future! We can't be fighting each other! I walked up to him.

"Sasuke, just please…come home…I love you, please come home…for me," I begged. I looked in his eyes and saw regret and love in them, I have to get him home. I was then knocked out from behind only to wake up in the Uchiha compound. I saw a woman with silver hair and my eyes. It was me! I was standing next to a young boy, about thirteen, he looked like Sasuke but with silver hair. A man with onyx hair and eyes…Sasuke, he was holding a little girl, about six, with my eyes and his onyx black hair. Where they…our children? They were beautiful. Sasuke kissed the older me and they smiled. "Welcome home, Love," the older me greeted with a smile.

"Happy to be back, Angel," He said to her. He looked at Itachi again and placed his hand back on his head while holding the little girl. "I see you got your forehead protector. Good job, Itachi, your mom and I are proud of you," he said to Itachi making him smiled more and nodded. This is what I want, seeing it makes me happy. Even seeing Tamotsu with a family of his own makes me happy. This is the only future I want to happen. I then realized…I truly love Sasuke Uchiha.

~Sasuke's POV~

We were all walking, I still had Tenshi on my back, but we were all getting tired. Sakura then collapsed.

"How long have we been walking? We aren't getting closer to the tower at all," she said.

"It seems like its right in front of us…this is weird," Naruto said.

"It seems we've arrived at our welcoming party," Kabuto said.

"Great…that's just what we need right about now," a female voice said. I turned and saw Tenshi waking up.

"Tenshi…are you okay?" I asked with worry. She looked at me and gave me a small smile and nod.

"Yeah, thanks for carrying me, and sorry for being a burden," she said as I let her down. What happen? First she's pissed at me and now she's smiling at me. I shook my head.

"It's fine, just take it easy," I told her.

"See, look right there! That's…no way!" Naruto shouted. We looked at the centipede that Naruto killed earlier. "W-what's going on?!" Naruto shouted.

"Genjutsu?" I asked. Tenshi nodded.

"Looks like it, we have totally fallen into a trap. Seems like they took advantage of your worries and made you walked around in circles," she said making Kabuto nod. She looked at him and glared which made him flinch back a little. What is up with her?

"They're watching us," I said.

"They probably plan to tire us out and use that opportunity to get us," Kabuto.

"Then it's going just as planned," Tenshi and I said together. Tamotsu stepped up.

"They should be about ready to attack," he growled. I nodded.

"Yeah…" I trailed off. That's when they appeared everywhere. "So, they arrived," I said.

"This is a perfect handicap," Naruto said.

"A lot of them, and are these clones?" Kabuto asked.

"Hehe, your trapped rats," one chuckled. Naruto ran and punched one.

"Shut up!" He yelled. Sakura cheered for him. The ninja then came back together surprising us all. I then used my Sharingan. A kunai was going to be thrown at me until Kabuto knocked me out of the way. Tenshi helped me up. Naruto started fighting.

"Don't! It's useless!" I shouted at Naruto making him looked at me. "They're illusions, this is an enemy Genjutsu," I said to them.

"But, Kabuto's injury is real," Sakura said.

"No, Sasuke's right," Tenshi said to her. She then looked at everyone. "The enemy is most likely hiding somewhere and matching their attacks with the movements of the fake Shinobis. So it will seem like the illusions are attacking," she told us.

"Then let's find the idiots throwing the kunais and kick their asses!" Naruto shouted.

"But, this confuses where the kunais are coming from…" Kabuto started. Tenshi looked at him.

"…And prevents us from accurately locating the enemy, which is what they planned to do," Tenshi finished. She then looked at us. "Their type prefer these kinds of attacks and are weak to Taijutsu and close range fighting. The real enemy won't reveal themselves until we can no longer move," she told us. Tamotsu walked up.

"At least for now, all we can do is dodge their attacks!" He growled.

"Alright…if that's their plan…" Naruto trailed off. Kunai were thrown at us and Tenshi was cut on the cheek making her fly into me as I caught her.

"These bastards are really pissing me off," she cursed. I'm really not used to her talking like that but I had agree with her.

"There's no end to this!" Sakura shouted out of frustration.

"Then I'll do this!" Naruto was about to do a Jutsu until Kabuto stopped him.

"Stop, Naruto! Don't waste your chakra!" Kabuto told him. Tenshi then walked up.

"I agree with Naruto," she said glaring at Kabuto.

"If we defeat all the illusions at once, then while they are returning to normal…" Naruto started.

"…Then the enemy can't throw kunais because they will be found," Tenshi finished with a smirk. They looked at each other with a smirk and nodded.

"Shadow Clone Jutsu!" They called out. Over a hundred Tenshi's and Naruto's started attacking. But as soon as more they were down, more were created. We were all on our knees panting.

"That's enough, Mubi, the sun is coming up, it's time for the kill," one of the Rain Nin said.

"Hehe, their spirit is already dead, only their bodies remain…lucky," the other said. Three Rain Nin appear. The one in the middle looked Naruto and Tenshi. "You, you were the ones who got my shoulder, I finally found you. Making things so difficult, lucky, I can finally return the favor!" We then appeared behind them. Heh.

"You're trapped rats," I said. The shadow clones of me, Sakura, Tamotsu, and Kabuto were right beside the real Naruto and Tenshi.

"It went perfectly, Naruto and Tenshi!" Sakura cheered.

"Them?! How!? Since when?!" The middle yelled. We just smirked. The clones of me and Tamotsu turned back into Tenshi as Kabuto and Sakura turned back into Naruto.

"The Shadow Clone was just a trick!" Naruto shouted.

"It was a diversion while Naruto and I became the whole team!" Tenshi finished.

"The moment Naruto and Tenshi released the Jutsu, the four of us hid. You Genjutsu users just got a taste of your won medicine," I told them smirking. Naruto feel on his knee. "Naruto, you've used too much chakra. I'll take over from here," I said. But Naruto grabbed one of the Rain Nins and threw him at the other two.

"I'm damn sick of you always stealing the juicy parts!" Naruto shouted at me. Tenshi then looked at me with a smirk.

"Sorry, Sasuke, let Naruto have the spot light for a while," she said to me. The Rain Nins stood up and looked at Naruto and Tenshi.

"You two are pretty good but we aren't unlucky just yet. Now we'll show you our Ninjutsu!" the Rain Nin shouted. "Mist Clone Technique!" He shouted with the other two.

"Shadow clone?" Naruto asked.

"No, just normal clones, but there must be a trick, watch out," I said.

"Heh, if that's the case then there's only one real enemy. I'll just blast them all until I hit the real one," Naruto smirked.

"Idiot, that plan won't work," I said to him.

"I told you to stay out of it!" Naruto shouted running. He went to punch on of the clones but fell right through them. I used my Sharingan again but felt pain from the mark. Not again! Tenshi ran up to me.

"Sasuke, stop using the Sharingan, it's only making it worse," she told me. While Naruto, Sakura, and Kabuto were fighting, Tenshi was helping me. I looked at Kabuto and saw his eyes change…what is that?! Kabuto came up to me asking about the mark but I told him it was just an injury. Tenshi was still glaring at him while Naruto got the other scroll that we needed. I looked at Tenshi and grabbed her hand.

"Why do you keep glaring at Kabuto?" I asked her. She sighed.

"There's something wrong with him…I get a vibe from him that I don't like. Sasuke whatever you do…don't trust him, my instincts are never wrong," she told me. I nodded knowing she was right. Kabuto and his team left leaving us alone. We walked into the tower only to find no one here. Sakura then saw something on the wall and some of the words were missing. "Guys…open the scrolls, it's safe now," Tenshi smiled. Sakura and Naruto started opening the scrolls with shaky hands and when it happened, we saw a summoning Jutsu like sign on the paper. The smoke then started to clear and we saw…Iruka-Sensei!?

"Hey, long time no see," he smiled at us. Tenshi smiled back.

"Indeed it has been Uncle Iruka, don't tell me you missed us," she joked. He chuckled a little bit.

"How can I not? Congratulations guys, you made it right on time," Sensei told us. Naruto smiled and hugged Sensei, while Sakura, Tenshi, Tamotsu, and I just slid to the floor with relief. Soon Iruka-Sensei left and we got ready for the final part of the exam. Tenshi looked at me with sad eyes and I grabbed her hand.

"Tenshi, are you okay?" I asked. She shook her head.

"I'm sorry I yelled at you earlier, I was just scared of losing you," she said to me. I pulled her to me to embrace her and she nuzzled into my chest.

"You'll never lose me, Tenshi," I told her. There may be a time where my body will leave but never my heart, you will always have my heart with you. She hugged me tighter as I did her. We then pulled apart and I saw some tears in her eyes as she smiled. I cupped her cheeks and wiped the tears away. "Don't you remember the promise we made as kids?" I asked her. Her eyes widened and she smiled warmly at me. She nodded.

"To always be best friends forever. Neither of us have broken that promise yet," she said to me. I shook my head with a small smile.

"I don't plan on ever breaking it," I told her.

"Me neither," she said. Then she kissed my cheek. "We better get going," she said with a blush on her cheeks. I nodded and we walked with the others. The exams are almost over and everything will be normal again…hopefully.
