SilverfeatherSnowstream: Well, read this chapter to find out!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO: Thanks lol, I have no ideas yet to end it yet so don't worry :)
Ravenheart: I hope I will be able to finish this story and be able to make a sequel maybe
scarpath2001: You said: "Awesome! Um hey, whats with volestep? And the kit being named brownkit? I didnt get it...
Im still the same person i jut forgot my password. /" I didn't get the last part...
Thank you to everyone that supports this story! Also, if you are a donater to PETA look up on google: The truth about PETA, some of the links are troubling. According to records from the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, PETA killed 1,647 cats and dogs last year while placing just 19 in adoptive homes. Since 1998, a total of 29,398 pets have died at the hands of PETA workers.
Just copy and paste these into the search bar:
Okay nvm the links don't want to work, just look up it, All of he pages say almost the same thing so don't say: They are liars, like what happened when I mentioned it to them on FB
If you could take time to look at these that would be great. I was never a PETA hater until I read these. I realized that this company is killing 96 percent of its animals in 2008. If you would help stop groups that are taking donaters money and making them kill that would be great. :D
Okaaay, enough upsetting talk about a bunch of cats and dogs dieing- let's get to the story!
I can't believe I am already on chapter 12, it feels like I was still imagining this story yesterday!
Chapter 12:
"Well, well, well, look what the cat dragged in." A cat chuckled. Rabbitpaw opened her eyes to see a black cat standing over her. "I thought you hated StarClan?" He sneered.
"Go away Blackpaw!" A cat rumbled, stepping into the clearing. Rabbitpaw gazed at the flame colored cat. He was tall, muscular, and noble. He looked too perfect.
"Rabbitpaw, why are you here?" He asked, narrowing his eyes at her.
"I want answers." She snarled at the cat. Rabbitpaw didn't want to waste any time.
"Why do you go to the dark forest?" Rabbitpaw fought back the urge to attack him.
"Shut up! Answer me!" Rabbitpaw was almost screaming now.
"I am Firestar, and you should treat me with respect as once leader of ThunderClan." Was the mad or something?
"I don't care! I have the power to say whatever I want, so now answer my question!" Rabbitpaw screeched. This was getting her no where.
"Fine, whatever. I am guessing you want to know why you are teased." Firestar asked.
"Yes!" Rabbitpaw rolled her eyes. At least he finally said something normal.
"You are teased because you let them and show off fear. You had a omen that the next kit born in a storm would bring misery to the clan." Firestar told her.
"Impossible! I am strong! Plus, I had brothers and sisters, and they get respect." Rabbitpaw retorted.
"Ah, but they were born way before you. You were born in the exact same moment of a storm and Firepaw came second. That is why you are hated." Firestar licked his paw and swiped it over his ear. "I cannot believe your boring sister was named after me." He commented. Rabbitpaw felt her anger boil. She could shred this cat. Dead or not she wouldn't care if she killed him again. The orange cat stiffened.
"You bring dark in this forest, I can sense it around you. Get out!" He suddenly jumped to his paws and dashed out of the clearing calling to other cats. A beautiful silver cat walked in. She narrowed her eyes when she noticed Rabbitpaw.
"What are you doing here?" She sneered.
"Dovewing! Stop being stupid! She is full of dark!" A voice yowled at her, it's face out of view. Rabbitpaw felt her like she would explode.
"You will pay!" Rabbitpaw hissed the the starry cats, staring at her from the fog. They just stayed there and she ran to them. There eyes grew wide in shock and they scattered. Rabbitpaw followed a kit, most likely died before it was two moons because it stumbled all over. Rabbitpaw knocked over cat and pinned it to the ground.
"Come out and face me you cowards! Or I will kill this kit!" Rabbitpaw yowled. The kit underneath her wriggled to get himself free but Rabbitpaw held onto him tightly.
"No! Don't kill him! Don't kill my kit!" A spotted she-cat ran out to Rabbitpaw, ignoring the gasps of other cats nearby.
"No!" Rabbitpaw growled. She started to dig her claws into the poor tom. He let out a squeal of pain.
"Let him go now and get out of this place right now." A brown striped cat demanded. He had lots of muscles and spoke proud words like a leader.
"Bramblestar is right, let her go." Another cat stepped forward. Rabbitpaw loosened her grip and the kit got up and ran toward his mother.
"You win this time! But I will show you pain! By adding more cats to your filthy ranks!" Rabbitpaw spat. She closed her eyes and woke up.
The sun stabbed at her eyes when she opened them and all she wanted to do was go to bed. Then she snapped awake. Sun?! Oh no! The clan must have noticed I had been gone! She leaped to her paws. Dawnpetal was already mad at her for waking up late. What will she think when she wanders back empty-pawed? She sniffed around desperately.
Finally, the scent of mouse drifted toward her. Going into a hunt, Rabbitpaw followed the scent to where a mouse was nibbling on a seed. After stalking it and catching, she bit down hard on it's back. It let out a sickening crunch and went limp under her. Rabbitpaw felt a surge of tramp as she marched back to camp, the prey dangling in her jaws.
"Your late." Was Dawnpetal's response.
"Well, sorry!" Rabbitpaw retorted. Dawnpetal narrowed her eyes.
"I was also told you weren't in the apprentice den at all last night." Rabbitpaw thought fast.
"I was practicing battle moves!" She blurted out, instantly regretting it.
"You are only supposed to practice with me! That is why you are tired. You wake up with scratches and bite marks, almost as if you died and came back to life!" Dawnpetal seemed to get madder and madder. Maybe... Rabbitpaw snickered to herself.
"Why are you laughing? Well, do you know what? Since your too good to practice with me then you can spend the whole day with Birdpaw!" Dawnpetal then walked away.
I thought you were supposed to be my mentor! Rabbitpaw thought in irritation. Maybe that was what she deserved though, StarClan must have decided this! Those crow-food eaters!
Birdpaw was washing herself in a clearing, Ivypaw next to her.
"Oh great, the mangy excuse of a cat is coming over." Ivypaw yawned. Rabbitpaw ignored the remark.
"Let's go hunting." Rabbitpaw asked, not mentioning she had to spend the rest of the day with her and most likely Ivypaw would hang around too.
"No thanks." Ivypaw licked her paw again.
"So, Birdpaw, do you want to come." Rabbitpaw asked again, ignoring Ivypaw next to her that was flicking her tail back and forth in annoyance.
"I would rather go into a badger den" Birdpaw growled at her. Rabbitpaw stared at her sister. She once loved and cared about her. They used to hunt together and laugh. She pretended to look hurt.
"Don't you remember all the fun we used to have together? How we would laugh and imagine the future when we became warriors together? We would each have seven kits, one as future medicine cat, one as leader, and another as deputy. Do you think we could still have this dream?" Rabbitpaw smiled when she was done. She a great liar.
Birdpaw stared at her for a moment and then nodded. She believed her!
"Fine, whatever. But stay out of my way!" Birdpaw snapped.
"I'm coming too." Ivypaw rose to her paws and stretched luxuriously. No one asked you! Rabbitpaw thought in irritation, but she couldn't say anything because Birdpaw would only go if her friend did. She walked out of the camp casually, sensing her mentor watching her near the warrior den. Birdpaw followed closely behind her, whispering to Ivypaw. Rabbitpaw went over to the abandoned horse place to hunt. Owlfeather once said when he was young there were horses and they were the reason a chunk of his tail was cut off. A horse stepped on it. Rabbitpaw doubted it. No one else ever remembered the horses being there when they were kits.
She stopped and sniffed the air when she arrived.
"I smell rabbit, Birdpaw, Ivypaw, go ahead. I will chase the rabbit to you and you catch it. Ivypaw, if it dodges my sister it then you get it." Rabbitpaw told them. There only response was nodding and whispering to one another. Once Rabbitpaw was sure they were out of view she started to creep to the brown shape hopping around. Then she dashed.
Her feet stretched far on the ground, making her cover more land. The wind soared past her, making her feel like she was flying. The rabbit was appearing closer and closer, there was no way she was going to miss.
The rabbit let out a squeal and tried to run away. Birdpaw was waiting for it. She pounced on it and killed it quickly.
"I wasn't ready." She muttered.
"I waited enough, any longer and it would have went back to it's burrow!" Rabbitpaw snapped back.
"Shut up! You gave us a few minutes at most!" Ivypaw joined in. Rabbitpaw rolled her eyes. Couldn't they just say she was right and move on? Suddenly a smell drifted toward them. It smelled like sap and pine. Almost like Bugpaw. Then it hit her. It was ShadowClan. They didn't border ShadowClan though, what was happening.
"Do you smell that?" Rabbitpaw whispered, suddenly aware that they were very valuable for attack.
"Smell what?" Ivypaw asked- too loudly. Rabbitpaw didn't have time to answer.
"Attack!" A cat yowled and cats all around them burst out of some weeds. They were being ambushed by ShadowClan!
Yes, it's me rambling again, but can you please comment your thoughts about PETA? It's very sad and depressing but I would like other people opinions. And comments on the story would still be wanted! :D Also, How many chapters do you think this story should have? With less I will make it speed a long but more would make me go over all the details. I am not sure though :/ Next chapter I want to make REALLY exiting too so keep your eyes peeled for it!
