A/N: Sorry it took so long to get this up. Things have been crazy here. Hope to have the next chapter up much sooner. I do not own anything Harry Potter that belongs to JK Rowling. Hope you enjoy and sorry for any errors that I did not catch.

Chapter thirteen

Zariah woke early the next morning; after showering and grabbing her suitcase she made her way downstairs to feed the cats and make breakfast. She was startled to find Harry already in the kitchen dishing out plates of food. "When did you get up?"

"I heard you showering and decided to get up and make breakfast while I waited for you."

Zariah took the offered plate of pancakes and eggs before sitting at the table. Once done they washed the few dishes and she fed Ash and Maeve. Harry made his way upstairs to shower and grab his suitcase before joining her in the living room. He handed her a mirror and said, "That is our Portkey, it will take us to a side street where we can walk the little ways to the place we are renting. It will also take us home on the twenty fourth."

"I suppose we should put it somewhere where we can find it, so it doesn't get lost. Maybe the mantle over the fireplace would be a good idea."

"That sounds good. When is Hermione going to check on the cats?"

"She said she would be by after work to visit with them and pick them up."

Harry nodded his head and held out the Portkey to Zariah at exactly nine, where they were pulled away and deposited in a narrow side street. Zariah grabbed her luggage and straightened her shirt before heading towards the street in front of them. They found the small house without any trouble and Harry knocked at the door. An older man opened the door. "Can I help you?"

"I'm Harry Potter; we're renting the house from you."

"Of course, come in."

Zariah followed Harry inside the house and sat in the chair that the man gestured to. "Welcome to my home away from home, I am Mr. Davis. Everything in the house is yours to use. I've changed the sheets and had everything cleaned, it's been awhile since I've been here. The small refrigerator in the kitchen is stocked with some items, but everything else you can purchase at the market or the small shops nearby. I've taken the liberty of writing down a few places to eat at and see in town."

He handed over the parchment and waited as Harry glanced through it. "Most people speak both English and French, so it shouldn't be too hard to get around. There is a lovely small magical community two blocks over that I have marked on your map. There you can send me an owl if anything goes wrong and receive owls as well. I hope you two enjoy your stay in Blois."

With that he grabbed the little bag by the fireplace and left by the front door. "He seemed like a nice man. What did you want to do today?"

"I think we should explore the house and check out the market in town. We should at least see if we can find the little magical community so we can find out where the apparation points are."

"Sounds good."

Zariah grabbed her suitcase and made her way to the bedroom to drop it off. Harry followed behind her placing his bag by the dresser. They explored the rest of the floor which consisted of a bathroom and a small study. They entered back into the living room where they could see the small kitchen and the courtyard out the window. "It's a cute little place. What are we going to do about sleeping arrangements?"

Zariah just shrugged and grabbed her shawl before heading out the door. She took his arm as they made their way to the little market area with the aid of the map. They spent the rest of the day acquainting themselves with where things were and visiting the magical community. By the time the sun was just setting Zariah was sitting outside in the courtyard while Harry was fixing them a small meal. He came out a few minutes later and handed her a plate of food before taking a seat next to her. They sat watching the stars for a bit after eating their meal. "I was thinking we can head out tomorrow and see some of the sights."

"That sounds good Harry. Are we going to join that tour bus or use apparation points?"

"I was thinking apparation points for now."

Zariah nodded her head and made her way back inside. He followed her a few minutes later and they washed the dishes together. After they finished Zariah made her way to the bedroom to gather her pajamas. "So where is everyone sleeping?"

Zariah frowned at Harry and shook her head. "You make it sound like there is more than just the two of us. We can share the bed, it's not like we haven't before."

"But that was before; this is now after everything that's happened."

"I think it will be alright Harry, but if you want I can sleep on the couch."

"No, it's fine I can sleep on the couch."

He grabbed his clothes and made his way to the bathroom to change before heading to the front room. Zariah changed into her pajamas and brushed her teeth before heading back into the bedroom. She pulled the few extra blankets out of the little open trunk at the foot of the bed and made her way to the front room. "Here, I thought you might need some blankets and a pillow."

He barely glanced at her as he took the offered items and began fixing himself a space on the couch. Zariah sighed and shook her head before heading back to the bedroom. "Tomorrow night we trade and I am not taking no for an answer."

She did not see the look on Harry's face as she entered the room and turned out the light, climbing into bed.

The next morning Harry made them breakfast before they headed out to see the Château de Blois and the Château de Chaumont. Zariah was exhausted by the time they returned to the house. She showered before grabbing the blanket and pillow and crashing on the couch. Harry shook his head at her and made his way to the bedroom to get ready for bed. Zariah woke late the next morning, so they decided on just spending the day at Château Chambord and then having a nice dinner at home. After they had a light breakfast Harry mentioned that he had to check the post for an owl he was expecting and that if she wanted to she could head out and he would meet her there. She just frowned at him and nodded her head making her way to the apparation point. She was standing in the courtyard when Harry arrived. They then joined the few other people there for a little tour of the Château. They finished touring the estate and decided to head to Château de Villandry to visit the garden, as they would visit the building tomorrow. They had a light lunch before heading to the next apparation point. "Did your package arrive?"

"Yes, it did."

When he did not elaborate Zariah frowned and shrugged her shoulders. They were halfway through the garden when she noticed that Harry was beginning to look bored. "Did you want to go home?"

"Home as in back to Godric's Hollow or to the place we are staying?"

"Either."

"Let's go back to the place we were staying and maybe visit something else tomorrow."

"Sure."

They left for the apparation point and made their way back to the house. Entering the house Zariah was surprised to see Hermione and Ron. "Hermione is something wrong?"

"No, Harry invited us for dinner tonight."

"Where did you have in mind?"

"Ron and I were thinking maybe Le Castelet."

Zariah nodded her head before heading to the bedroom to gather her shawl and followed everyone out the door. Zariah sat next to Harry once they had arrived at the restaurant and was perusing the menu when Hermione said, "So how is the sightseeing going?"

"The few places we have seen were nice. I think Harry wants to do something else though."

"I don't blame you mate."

Hermione and Zariah rolled their eyes at Ron's comment. They ordered food and conversed while they waited. By the time they finished and made their way back to the house it was dark. Harry asked Ron and Hermione if they wanted to stay over and maybe sightsee with them for the day. To which Hermione agreed. "You both can have the bedroom if you want we can transfigure the table into another couch."

Hermione shook her head and said, "No you both take the bed I'll transfigure the couch into a bed and Ron and I can sleep out here."

Zariah glanced at Harry and waited for him to say something, but when he did not she just nodded her head and made her way to the bathroom to get ready for bed. Zariah climbed under the covers and waited for harry to finish in the bathroom. He came in a few minutes later and climbed into the bed beside her and turned out the lights. By the time morning came she found herself curled into Harry's side.

She stiffened slightly when his fingers connected with the bare skin of her back, where her shirt had ridden up. The door to the bathroom closing had her jumping and Harry wide awake. He glanced at her and the position they were in before climbing out of bed. She frowned at him as he grabbed his clothes before heading to the hallway to await the person in the bathroom.

By the time everyone was up and dressed Zariah was feeling upset. During breakfast they sat around deciding what they wanted to see and do for the day. It was finally decided that Hermione and her would go to the last castle and meet up with the boys for lunch. Hermione and her left the house and made their way to the gardens before heading to the main estate. Zariah was still upset with Harry by the time noon came around. They left the estate and made their way to the designated cafe and grabbed a table to await the boys. Once they arrived they ordered and sat discussing their day.

Hermione and Ron then left for the apparation point while Harry and she walked the few blocks back to the house. The fact that he was holding her hand helped to dim some of her anger. She stopped when he tugged on her hand and turned to face him, finding him kneeling on the pavement. Frowning at him for a moment the little box in his hand did not register in her mind until he opened his mouth to say something. "Zariah I wanted to ask you a question for a while now, but was waiting for the right time. Will you marry me?"

Zariah just stared at him before looking around, noticing they were attracting a little crowd. She tried to tug him up, but he shook his head and said, "Not until you answer my question."

She did not even open the box before whispering 'yes' and nodding her head. Pink tinged her cheeks as he stood up and opened the box. Inside was a beautiful ring. The center diamond was centered over rose gold swirls and curlicues and nestled in between a band of diamond on either side. He slid the ring onto her finger before they continued to the house. Zariah was surprised to find the house full of their friends when she opened the door. "How long have they known?"

"Since I had Malfoy help me pick out the ring three weeks ago."

Audrey was the first to come over to examine her ring. "I suppose he did well, although the center diamond is much too small."

Draco came over at that point before she started showing off her large diamond ring. "I know darling I won't say anything more about her ring. We should have a double wedding."

Zariah paled a little at that and was searching for something to say when Hermione came to the rescue. "Audrey dear that is a horrible idea, then all the focus wouldn't be on you."

Audrey seemed to ponder this for a moment before nodding her head in agreement. Zariah sighed and nodded to Hermione in thanks. Everyone congratulated them on the engagement and they sat around talking well into the night. Once dinner was finished people began to trickle home, leaving Harry and Zariah alone in the courtyard. "Let's head to Positano."

"Right now, where's that?"

"Yes, right now. It's in Italy."

"We would have to get clearance to travel to Italy. What's in Positano?"

He smiled at her before shaking his head. "I already got clearance to leave tonight. Before you ask I already told Mr. Davis and he said to just lock up and he'd be by to clean."

"Where are we staying, you do realize it is night time right now?"

"You'll see and we are expected in an hour."

"An hour, Harry James Potter, you do realize that I have to pack and that apparation takes a little bit for far destinations."

"I had Hermione pack our stuff and we will be traveling by Floo."

Zariah sighed and nodded her head. "I guess we are going to Italy."

She followed him inside and they each grabbed their bags that were conveniently placed by the fireplace before grabbing a handful of floo powder and stepping into the green flame. They ended up in a large atrium with a single couch, a table and a few chairs. "What now?"

"We wait for Mrs. Cianni; she is supposed to meet us here."

Twenty minutes later a petite woman came in. "Buona Sera Mister Potter, welcome to Covo Dei Saraceni. Your room has been prepared for you and your fiancée. Please follow me."

Along the way the woman explained that the hotel catered to both Wizards and Muggles. For their wizard guests, house elves do most of the work and are assigned to a single room. Mitzi was to be assigned to their room and would be able to show them around the suite. She left them at the door to the suite with the key that Harry used to unlock the door. They entered the room and found a small elf standing at the entrance. "My name is Mitzi, anytime you need anything just call and I will be able to help you. To the left are the closet and the bathroom. Straight ahead are the living area and the sleeping area to the right. Outside is the terrace with table and chairs, along with the hot tub. Is there anything else?"

"No, thank you Mitzi."

The elf left with a pop while Zariah stowed her luggage in the closet. She wandered around the suite before ending up in the bathroom. "Wow Harry you should see the tub and shower in here."

He poked his head in and laughed at her as she walked into the shower. "This is just like the bathroom at home, minus the sauna."

"Really Harry, the bathroom I use isn't this big."

She rolled her eyes at him and made her way to the sleeping area. "Are you going to make an excuse for sleeping on the couch?"

Zariah glanced at him in shock as he shook his head. Nodding hers she made her way to the bathroom to change before climbing into bed as he turned out the lights.
