Harry ran out of the Obelisk and collapsed in Ginny's waiting arms. Larry reached forward and dragged Harry to his feet.

"Buck up, Nancy," he growled. "The game is about to start."

The skies above the ancient city grew dark and violent. The clouds that formed began to swirl form a shape. Larry stood directly below the obelisk, wielding the Axe. Harry moved along side of him and unsheathed The Sword of Gryffindor.

"Alright, brother," Larry snarled. "This is your destiny."

Harry gulped and nodded looking at his friends who had once again removed their amulets and were holding them up.

Larry squeezed Harry's shoulder and took his place among the others. He held his amulet up as well. A light burst forth from the circle and hit the forming shape causing it to become more solid.

"NOW!" Larry screamed. "It's mortal… attack it now!"

The clouds dissipated and Harry looked up to see a giant physical manifestation of the goddess Kali. Kali towered above Harry and the city. In each of its ten clawed hands it held a large curved sword. The creature dwarfed Harry. He looked over his shoulder and saw Larry's features had gone wolfish in concentration.

Harry turned just in time to dodge two huge swords as they slammed into the street on either side of him.

"Little dustling," a voice echoed across the valley. "Do not fight your destiny." Kali's face curled into a sneer. "Is that not what you have always known? You are meant for death. You are alive only due to luck and the sacrifice of your betters."

Harry shook his head trying to clear his thoughts. 'How did this thing know?' Harry asked himself. Harry felt the darkness creep back into his soul. 'Kali is right," Harry admitted to himself. Harry stopped moving and lowered his guard.

Kali howled in triumph and swung three of her swords towards a frozen Harry. Suddenly Larry was there snarling and deftly parrying the blows while pulling Harry from the path with his tentacles.

"This is not your destiny, Harbinger." Kali said coldly moving towards the brothers. Larry stood over Harry's slumped body hefting the AXE as it crackled with dark energy.

"I am The Destroyer. It is written in the stars. It is the Talisman's destiny to die at my hands," Kali raised her ten arms above her head. "It is his fate."

Larry raised the AXE and snarled, transforming into his full wolf form. He looked at a defeated Harry and the other members of the party straining under the force of their spells.

"You know what, Sunshine?" Larry smiled up at the looming goddess. "FUCK FATE!" Larry launched himself into the snarling maw of the creature.

Kali swung one of its swords at Larry while he was in the air. Larry extended two his tentacles and grabbed Kali's wrist. He twisted himself and dug the AXE into Kali's shoulder. He pivoted on the imbedded AXE and landed on the back of Kali's neck. He slammed the AXE in the base of Kali's neck and black blood spouted out from the gash covering him. He grunted in pain but continued chopping causing more blood to flow.

Harry stirred and looked up to see Larry riding Kali's back, using the AXE like a lumberjack, chopping into Kali's muscled neck with a steady chopping motion. He looked over just in time to see Ginny and his friends collapse from the strain, dropping the amulets in the process. Harry saw Ginny's face. She looked pale and drawn. He grabbed the Sword from the ground in front of him and turned towards Kali. He was not going to let Ginny die. He sprinted across the ground in front of Kali and sliced her tree like leg. Blood spurted out from the wound and hit him in the chest.

Larry twisted his tentacles in Kali's hair and swung himself down into her face. He sliced the AXE forward putting out Kali's left eye. The blood had burned through Larry's robes and blistered his skin.

Again and again Harry chopped at Kali's leg like a lumberjack. The acid like blood bit into his skin but still he moved forward undeterred. Harry could feel his skin blistering and burning. He looked up in time to see Larry, still swinging from Kali's hair, put out her other eye. Larry then twisted in midair and slammed the AXE into the side of her neck, again drenching himself in blood. The leg Harry had been chopping finally gave way and Kali toppled to the ground causing the city street to quake.

Kali swiped a huge sword from the ground slicing Larry across the chest. Larry winced but advanced on the fallen goddess. Harry met him at Kali's head and started chopping the thick muscled neck with the magical sword.

The brothers, covered in the acidic blood, started chopping in rhythm. Kali screamed and writhed but they did not let up. Larry was lost in bloodlust and not paying attention to his injuries. With a final scream Larry pounded the AXE into Kali's forehead causing her to shudder and finally stop breathing.

Larry looked at Harry who had fallen and rolled over on his back. Larry's chest hurt and he could see a green liquid pouring from the cut. He looked at his arms and saw the skin had become burnt and charred. He could see the sickening white of the bone in his arms. Larry's breathing came out is sputters and rasps. He let the AXE slide from his burnt and cracked hands and dropped to his knees.

"I'm sorry, Phoebe," he said barely audible, dropping to his knees not breathing.
