Callie still wouldn't make eye contact with Arizona and she began sobbing so the blonde was by her side in an instant. She wrapped her arms around her girlfriend and rubbed soothing patterns across her back.

"Why are you sorry Calliope? What happened with Dr. Hahn?" An even heavier sob ripped through Callie so Arizona held her even tighter. She pushed the dark locks out of Callie's face and cupped her chin with one hand. "We need to talk about what happened. You don't get to come in here and talk to me like you just did."

"I'm sorry Arizona. I'm so sorry." She was still shaking and heaving, but Arizona needed to understand what happened. Callie still wasn't meeting her gaze so she soothingly rubbed Callie's cheek until she did.

"I know you are sweetie, I know, but I'm not going anywhere." She gently moved Callie across the room and onto the living room couch. "I'm going to put some tea on to help us calm down, I'll be right back. Arizona felt like she was on autopilot as she went into the kitchen, put the water on, and started to make the tea. She was trying to remain calm and collected on the outside, but inside her head she was freaking out. She couldn't follow what Callie was saying but something that happened clearly got her so upset that she felt the need to get drunk and take it out on Arizona. The sound of the teapot whistling brought her out of her reverie and she went back to Callie's side and placed the mugs on the table in front of them.

"Are you settled enough to start talking?" Callie nodded affirmatively and was not longer gasping for breath so Arizona continued. "Let's start with how it looked. Why does that matter?"

Earlier that day

"I could never do something to hurt Arizona."

"You wouldn't have to. I could make this easy for you. I'll report what I saw, which was your student holding you down while she forced herself onto you." Erica moved across the room to sit down right next to Callie who seemed to be processing this whole situation. She took Callie's hand in her own and looking right into her eyes. "Callie you are magnificent. I've read your writing and it's some of the best I've ever read. You have the potential to write award winning novels and stories. This job, here, will open doors for you and give you opportunities nowhere else will. Don't deprive the world of your brilliant mind. Don't throw your career away when it's only just begun. I can help you out of this; every step of the way I will have your back."

"Erica-"

"I will have your back. We can get through this together Calliope." The use of her full name coming from someone other than her girlfriend shook Callie out of her subdued state.

"Don't call me that! We are not in this together Erica; I am in this with Arizona. I would never do anything to hurt her and I would certainly never made false allegations of a sexual assault. Are you out of your mind? Do you know how detrimental that is to actual victims of assault?"

"Callie I didn't mean it like that-"

"Yeah, but you did. Before I think of myself I think of Arizona's needs and what is best for her. I can find another job. I can teach or write anywhere. And again, there's not set protocol for this situation. I fucked up, I'll tell the Dean. I'm not sure what you're trying to get out of this, but I won't let you have it over me."

"I'm trying to help you! You think you'll still be respected around here if this gets out? 'Callie Torres fucks her students her first year on the job.' That's not even going to sound bad compared to the rest of it. I'm trying to look out for you; can you say the same of that child you're dating?" All of a sudden it hit Callie like a ton of bricks.

"This is personal for you. You're willing to ruin a young woman's life because, what? You think you'd do a better job as my girlfriend? You are even more insane than I thought. Holy shit Erica. I-I can't do this. I'm going to go tell Dean Richards what's been going on and I'll leave your name out of it on the condition that you stay out of Arizona's and my life. This, what happened right here, is not okay. You can have feelings for someone, but never try to manipulate other people's lives to have a chance with them. I'm going to need you to leave my office now."

"Callie, you're making a huge mistake. What could she possibly have to offer you?" Callie wasn't going to answer Erica's last plea, but as she backed Erica out of her office she figured she'd shut down any ridiculous ideas Erica might still have.

"Everything I have ever looked for in a woman, a partner, a lover, and so much more." Callie locked her office door behind her and made her way to the Dean's office without looking back.

Present time

"Erica wanted me to blame you for everything that happened because of how it looked and because apparently she's bat-shit crazy. I just hate that I let you put yourself in a vulnerable position and that I put you in a vulnerable position Arizona. What if you have to take a class and she's the only one teaching it? You shouldn't have to worry about things like this." Callie looked like she might start crying again so Arizona put her arm around her and pulled her into her side as they leaned back on the couch.

"Hey, students always worry about getting crazy teachers anyway and this isn't your fault. You're so amazing that people go psycho when they can't be with you. It must be your incredible smile." Callie chuckled and wrapped her arm around Arizona's middle as she turned to face her. "There it is now. It's blinding!" They both laughed and Callie kissed her cheek.

"How did I get such an amazing girlfriend?"

"I don't know. You're lucky I guess." Arizona smirked at Callie as the brunette playfully swatted her arm. "You are lucky, but you won't be so lucky if you talk to me again the way you did before. You don't get to get drunk and come back and treat me the way you did. I don't have to worry though, because it's never going to happen again, right?"

"Right. I'm sorry Arizona. I know I shouldn't have gone out, especially when you told me you'd be here. This involves both of us, I was just so shaken up and I didn't know what to do." Arizona ran her hands through Callie's hair and started to massage her scalp.

"You talk to me and we work it out together." Callie shook her head in agreement and hummed in approval of the feeling of Arizona's hand on her head. "What did you mean about things being difficult for us the rest of the semester? And what else happened with Dr. Hahn? How did you leave things?"

"Dr. Hahn is going to stay out of our lives. I went and spoke to the Dean and explained the situation to her. Not the whole situation of course. I told her how I should have told her sooner, but that I am dating a student in one of my classes and I would take whatever punishment I have coming. I'm on probation for the rest of this semester and next which doesn't mean much; pretty much any grunt work no one else wants will go to me. Plus I can't teach your class anymore. She's going to have another professor take over for the rest of the semester again and if there's a class you want to take in the future I can't teach it."

"Are you okay with everything that happened?" She knew Callie obviously was not okay, hence the drinking and crying, but she meant was she okay now and okay relative to the situation.

"I think I am. I know I fucked up today, but all in all everything is going to be okay. She said she would keep the situation confidential and I can't imagine Erica telling anyone. I put her in her place and if anyone says anything we'll know it was her. I think she'll be too embarrassed to tell anyone either way." Callie reached up and took Arizona's hand from her scalp and put it around her waist as she shifted to straddle her lap. "You know I would never do anything to hurt you right?"

"I know that now more than ever, but I never doubted you." This was one of the more stressful things either of them had faced in a while, but right now, this was what made it all worth it. Callie played with Arizona's loose curls for a few moments before she looked back into Arizona's eyes.

"I love you Arizona." The way Arizona's dimples popped as she smiled was another reason that everything was worth it. She looked like an angle.

"I love you Calliope." Callie ducked her head down to reach Arizona's lips and their eyelids fluttered closed as they got closer together. Callie brushed her lips against Arizona's once before she puckered around her top lip. She pulled away and slowly let her eyes open again to meet Arizona's. She let out a breath of relief and ducked her head again and closed her lips around Arizona's bottom lip. Arizona pressed her lips around Callie's with the same amount of pressure and suppleness. She tilted her head to the side a little bit and they both went back in for another kiss. Callie nudged Arizona's nose with her own, silently asking her to open her mouth more. The blonde did and Callie slowly slid her tongue into her girlfriend's mouth. They continued on this way for a couple more kisses before Arizona leaned back and their breathing calmed down.

"Arizona, I want you so bad right now." She tried to lean back in and lock their lips again, but Arizona leaned back again.

"Calliope, your breath and tongue just reminded me that you're still at least a little drunk." Callie groaned her disapproval and let her head fall to Arizona's shoulder. "Maybe if you had just come home instead of going out drinking by yourself we could've talked it out and had sex, but not with you like this after everything that happened." Callie groaned again and nuzzled her nose into Arizona's neck.

"Please, baby?" Arizona chuckled a little at her girlfriend and lightly smacked her ass.

"Nope, but I did set your tub up for a bath earlier so how about I go run the water while you get ready and I'll bring you some food and water to eat while you're in there?" Callie pecked her lips before getting up and helping her up as well.

"You're too good for me." While Arizona was in the ensuite bathroom getting the tub ready Callie got out of her clothes and walked into the bathroom. "Any chance you'll be joining me in this bath?" Arizona was mixing salts into the bathtub so she didn't realize that a naked Callie Torres was standing behind her.

"Calliope, you and I both know that if I get into this tub with you you're going to try something and I already told you it's not going to happen tonight."

"Okay, I'm not going to push you to do anything. If you don't want to join me, that's fine. Is the water ready yet?"

"Yeah it should be ready now." Arizona turned around and her face went slack at the sight of her girlfriend naked. She ran her eyes up and down her girlfriend's body before she was able to compose herself. She couldn't help but roll her eyes and laugh. "You do not play fair Calliope." Callie was right in front of her now so Arizona leaned down a little to lay a kiss on Callie's chest between her breasts. "You are gorgeous my love, but it's not going to happen." She smirked as she walked around Callie and saw the shocked look on her face. She stopped before walking out and snuck behind Callie and pinched her butt. "Good try though."
