Hi, I'm Mikey! Ch 13: The End? by The Creepy-Psycho-Loner
Disclaimer: No.
AN: Last Chapter! Finally! I want to thank everyone who has reviewed, watched, and favorited this story. I will work on finishing "Consumed by the Mind" "United We Stand" And my new Soul Eater Fanfic nowadays but I am still free to chat. To answer one of Evie McPhey's questions, kidnapping goes further than strangers. Families kidnap their kids too. A mother takes her child away and no one sees them again. It really sad :( but dont worry if you have unanswered questions. There MAY be a second installment ;) Thanks again guys! :)
Leo gripped his pants as they waited in the hospital waiting room. Casey's parents were there to watch over the boys but they still felt very anxious. Across from them was a couple. The woman had long blonde hair and the man had brown hair with a dusting of freckles on his face. Donnie had stared at them at first because he swore these people looked like his sister... but he of course could be wrong. Still, he thought he had to know anyways.
"Excuse me," Donnie politely ceased their chatting. "Have you ever put a baby up for adoption?"
"Donnie!" Leo scolded, making Donnie shrink. Sometimes Donnie could act like a total meat-head. Ask a couple about something that was probably hard for them. Yeah Donnie. Perfect.
The woman chuckled, "It's fine..." The woman looked to her husband. He nodded so she continued. "My baby was kidnapped when we were sleeping one night." Her eyes were sad and reminiscent.
"How long ago was that?"
"About fifteen years ago."
Donnie looked at Leo. Leo stared at his hands before asking his own question.
"...Was it a girl?"
"Yes... but how do you know so much?"
Raph couldn't believe his ears. How much of a whack job was fate for allowing them to meet Mykal's parents? Raph shook his head.
"Because your child may be our adoptive sister."
The couple was silent. The emotions in their eyes were intense. No one could really point out a specific emotion but if they could, they would say hope. Raph squeezed Donnie's hand and Donnie squeezed it back. There was a chance that Mikey could die. No one wanted to believe it, but it was their reality.
"I will die without her," Raph whispered to his brothers and they silently agreed.
The doctor came out after a few hours. His face was blank and no one knew if she'd survived or not.
"She lost a lot of blood. Her heart kept giving out but we managed to stabilize her. We did not yet give her a blood transfusion and she needs it immediately. Unfortunately, she has a rare blood type that only a few other people in the world has." The doctor frowned at that last part. The blonde haired woman gasped, said something to her husband and then stood.
"I, too, have that same type of blood and I am willing to give it up to save..." She swallowed the lump that was forming in her throat. "To save my child."
The doctor already knew of the situation so he did not attempt to consult a parent. Instead, he took the woman somewhere at they yet again had to sit in a few hours of intense worry. The man said nothing. He just kept his head down. The boys couldn't think of what he must be going through. Finally, the doctor returned. He said that Mikey will be fine in a week or two and that she was conscious. The boys practically ran to her room so overcome by joy that they didn't care who or what they trampled. Mikey sat up on her bed. Her face was pale... but she was alive.
Everything froze until Raph ran forward and engulfed Mikey. She didn't mind the soft ache that he caused. All she cared about were her brothers. She cried and Raph cried with her. Soon Leo and Donnie joined. Casey stood there until Donnie pulled him within their large embrace. She was so happy that...
Her smile fell.
"Wait. Guys." They all pulled apart.
"What is it?"
Before she had time to explain everything that Yoshi had told her, the man and the woman walked. The man stared at Mikey for a while but quickly stopped. His face was flushed red, like he was trying not to cry.
"I... I'm sorry. Are we interrupting?"
"No. No," Mikey hasted. "Please sit."
They complied.
"So... Am I really your daughter?"
The woman had tears running down her face. "Yes... we think so."
Mikey smiled at her. "What was my real name?"
"Angel. Angel Lo." She hugged Mikey close and Mikey let her. Her real father walked over to them and hugged them both close.
The boys let them have their privacy so they turned.
"Leo?" He turned around when he heard his sister's feeble voice. "What're we going to do now?"
Raph and Donnie looked at him, too.
He was the eldest. He always knew what to do. Always had a plan.
But honestly, he had no idea.
END...?
