A/N: So, finally got ahold of ALBW. I will eventually be writing about said ALBW, but tonight (this morning, this afternoon,) I have...something special for you all.
Very special. Let's just say...the theme I've chosen to represent this piece is fitting.
Universe: The Zelda CDi franchise. I REGRET NOTHING. EVER. AHAHAHA. I've only watched the cutscenes, so this might not be completely accurate, but seriously, who cares?

"Ah, Link," she says, turning to face him. She smiles. "Glad you could make it."
"Of course!" The boy named Link returns the smile. "Wouldn't ignore a princess' orders-'specially not a princess as pretty as you are. But..." He takes in the great, cavernous chamber, the room so far below the castle. "...Where are we, Zelda? Took me forever to find."
She waves off the question. "Oh, just another room. No one comes here but the servants. That, however, isn't what I need to talk to you about," she continues, walking further back into the room. She raises a hand, and the green, pastel glow of the Triforce of Wisdom floods the darkened room.
In the new light, Link notices that she is wearing her full regalia. It is lovely, of course, because she is lovely, but the fact that she is wearing it at all sets off alarm bells in his head. This is the outfit she wears only when she fully assumes the identity of royalty. It is her judgement dress, the cheerful, sapphire satin and regal, silver trim of which belay the bloodshed that its wearer has approved.
It is the dress she wore to the eventual execution of Duke Onkled-for he was executed, the king's promises of mercy all but forgotten. This dress is the most terrifying thing she owns.
She, Zelda, has begun to speak again." Come closer, Link; I have a story for you." He obeys her orders, and joins her in staring into the Triforce piece. "Awhile back, I asked what the source of our trouble was. The Triforce told me this." Her hand moves, and the pyramid she touches begins to rotate.
"Golly..." Link whispers, his awe of the Triforce's power having never ceased. "What's all this?"
"It's history." The princess replies. Then the pictures appears, changing as the Triforce spins.
First, a boy in a more formal version of Link's tunic, wielding a blue blade against a smirking, white-haired man holding a sword of his own. Then, a blue fairy, unlike any of the ones Link had ever encountered, accompanying another boy, this one crossing wide, vibrant fields, a clay instrument clutched tightly in his fist. On and on the pictures move, and the one thing Link notices is that all the boys wear the same garb, with little variation-green as his own, always. Occasionally, they stand beside a woman who bears an uncanny resemblence to Zelda.
Later, the same boy who held the ocarina, only this time, much older. He is motionless, the front of his garb stain with blood. The woman is cladling his head, and though Link cannot hear her, he knows that she is weeping, screaming, begging for him to open his eyes. Behind them, fire, smoke, shadows, and the looming shadow of-of-
"Ganon!" Link gasps. "W-What?"
"Do you see what I'm saying, Link?" Zelda asks. "Or should I get the Crystal of Vision back from Gwonam for you?"
"No-I...gee, were those guys...me?" He takes a deep, shuddering breath.
She nods. "Yes, Link. The prophecies tell of a hero. 'Only Link can defeat the evil wizard Ganon,'" she quotes. "So it is written. That brings me to my main point..."
The Triforce's light pulses briefly, then disappears, and Link is left disoriented. There is a ringing of metal, and something long and sharp gleams in Zelda's hand-a sword. "You're supposed to be a hero. And yet-" here she laughs, derisive and quiet. "You've failed me this time. My father was kidnapped, and you followed, leaving me to defeat Ganon on my own." She steps forward. "And if the princess can do that...well, we don't need a hero, now do we?"
"Zelda..." Link murmurs, realizing her intentions, sinking to his knees. "Please...don't..." He sinks to his knees. "G-Golly, why would you? I...I love you..."
This time, her laugh is loud. "Ha! As if I didn't know." She begins to mimick him. "'How about a kiss, for luck?' Please, you never had a chance-but you played into my hand rather well-keeping Ganon at bay like you did. But I know how to defeat him now, so you're positively useless. And like all useless things-" She raises the sword, sends it hurtling downward. "You must DIE!"
She leaves the corpse in the room. When the messenger comes, frantic, to tell her that the prophesied hero is dead, she weeps. When she speaks at his funeral, she wears her judgement dress and swears vengence on his killer. When she is alone in her room, her relection whispers the words you've killed him.
"Good," she whispers back, and is satisfied.

A/N: OH MY GOSH I'M SORRY THIS IS BAD I CAN'T GET THE CHARACTERS RIGHT WHY. In the words of one of the CDi Zelda's many colorful characters: "Oh my goodness, this is awful!"
But CDi Zelda strikes me as being a bit psychotic. I actually kind of like her, to be honest.
Again, sorry for burning your eyes out. Cut me some slack; it's 2 A.M. :3
