Since we were all in wolf form we had to telepathically communicate with one another.
"Okay everyone, Embry the other day was patrolling the borders and noticed the scent of a group of vampires nearby." Sam explained to us. Great, a group of vampires other than the Cullens. I easily get annoyed as you can tell when we can't get through a week without something happening.
"Did they have the same eyes as the Cullens or is human on their dinner plates every night?" That inappropriate joke came from Paul. Super-hot but a super douche bag. I rolled my eyes. I noticed it was getting humid for once and had to start panting to cool off.
"You don't have to pant after me honey, I'm already yours." I blushed under the fur and could hear the pack clearing their throats in awkwardness. "Sorry." Jacob replied and blushed a little at being caught.
"Anyway, I'll let him finish the rest as it seems to be his imprint" I cringed at that word. It seems to still bother me a little bit that my baby sister is already dating. Embry took the stand.
"After I went to investigate the scent, it started to get stronger and somehow I snuck up on the group of vampires. They were standing in a circle talking to each other. There was a brown-haired vampire with green eyes, his name is Jordan. A blonde hair blue eyed vampire named Gregory and a female with Brown hair. I couldn't get her name but I noticed she had the same eyes as the Cullens. She was talking with the others whom had red eyes." That was weird, one vampire with an animal diet hanging out with other red eye vampires.
"I couldn't really make out what they were saying without getting closer and having them discover my scent. But I did hear the female say the name Briana. They dispersed shortly after and I quickly made my escape." That's when the questions started coming in from the other pack members.
"What was her name?" Briana asked.
"Didn't Embry just say he couldn't get her name? Did you listen at all?" That was Leah the bitchy wolf extraordinaire.
"I'm sorry I was a little preoccupied with the fact that there is a vampire after me. You don't want to start with me Leah, I have no issues knocking you out." My sister threatened with a growl.
"Please bitch, I wish you would." Leah taunted back. After an awkward pause, they both fell on the ground laughing.
"I knew I would like you, just as fierce as me." Leah said chuckling and wagging her giant wolf tail.
"The same here. You should come over one night and we can hang out while talking about how dumb these guys are." My sister replied.
"Hey" Most of us reacted to her words.
"Calm down everyone", Sam especially glared playfully at the two chuckling female wolves.
"This concludes today's meeting, I want at least two wolves patrolling Briana at all times plus two to three wolves on the border. I know it will spread us kind of thin, but we can manage. Tyler, I want you to talk with the Cullens and see what they might possibly know about a female vampire with their diet hanging with a bunch of red eyes." I nodded in confirmation.
We all dispersed to phase back and get in to our change of clothes. After I finally put the other shoe on I was grabbed from behind and my fighting instincts came in so I grabbed the unknown assailant and flipped them over my body onto the ground.
"Oh fuck! Tyler why did you have to do that?" I looked down and noticed that it was my brother Mike. I was shocked because we all just got down phasing back to our human forms and he may have saw something that he wasn't supposed to. I noticed Jacob, Briana and Embry walking over to see what happened. I leaned down to help my brother back up.
"What are you doing here Mike?" I asked with my arms folded. He started to dust himself off and noticed Briana.
"Hi B!" He said and hugged here, then he came over and hugged me. But I couldn't get lost in the moment because if he saw us then we must figure out what to tell him, or what to do.
"Anyway, I went to the house to have dinner like we were supposed to tonight and noticed that the lights were on. I went inside and dad was on the couch asleep and when I went to go upstairs to see if you guys were home your rooms were empty. Well except Rover snoring loudly across Tyler's bed." He rolled his eyes at that situation.
"I went to let him outside to go to the bathroom and heard growling in the distance and rover ran off toward it. It was weird when I noticed a pack of wolves dispersing and turning into humans. One of them was you Tyler and the other I noticed Briana. Now can you tell me what is going on?" He asked with his arms folded.
I sighed and shook my head because we weren't as discreet as we should have been, which reminded me.
"Rover!" I called out.
"Rover!" I whistled after that. I then saw a yellow furry thing come running through the woods and right up to me and licked me on the face. I could feel the glare coming from Jacob which made me chuckle.
"Mike, just come back to the house with us and I will explain everything. I'm hungry right now and could use some pizza since it's too late to cook a meal." He nodded in acceptance. Jacob walked up to him "Hello, my name is Jacob and I am your brother's boyfriend." He held his hand out to shake. My brother shook his hand and nodded. "Nice to meet you." Embry chose this moment to introduce himself.
"I'm Embry, Briana's boyfriend." He had a big smile on his face and had his hand out. My brother looked at him and then looked at me. I shrugged my shoulders. He looked back at Embry.
"I'm sorry, who? My sister isn't dating; so, unless you have a death wish I suggest you drop your hand." Mike replied and started to walk again.
"Michael! You better stop walking and actually shake my boyfriend's hand." My sister demanded. I saw him drop his shoulders in defeat because no one can deny my sister. He turned around and shook his hand. I could tell he was putting full strength into the hand shake because I saw Embry's face grimace in pain for a second.
So, after we finally got back to the house, I called for pizza and surprisingly there was 1 pizza place open after 9PM in this small town. I walked back into the living room where everyone was sitting and they were having conversation.
"Okay, so 4 large pepperoni pies and 2 large cheesesteak pies are on their way in 40 mins." I said.
"Alright, so does anyone want to start explaining how you all went from wolf to human?" My brother asked. I held up my finger to silence him so I can hear if my dad was asleep upstairs. I heard a steady heartbeat and even breathing.
"Okay dad is asleep, so to answer your question Mike. Someone in our family either Mom or dad had the wolf gene which somehow skipped them and went on to us. So, when we are around certain other people it triggers the gene and we can morph into a wolf whenever we want to…not without some practice first because it is slightly painful the first few times."
"What certain people do you have to be around?" Mike asked. I looked to the others for help. Suddenly there was a knock at the door. I sighed in relief for the moment and walked to the front door and could smell pizza. All the wolves' stomachs growled in hunger. I opened the door and saw Emmett and Rosalie with the pizzas in their hands.
"Oh, this bitch!" I said with a smile and nodded towards Rosalie.
"Shut up slut, take these pizza's and let us in. I want to meet your lovely sister anyway." She said. I took the pizza's and let them in.
"How are you doing big boy?" I asked Emmett. He rolled his eyes and instantly snatched Rosalie up and started kissing her.
"Sorry, I like Vagina too much. So, you must stick with the less hot version of me, Jacob." He replied after pulling away. I heard Jacob growl in reply. I chuckled and led them into the living room to where everyone was waiting. When my brother saw Rosalie, his jaw dropped. Emmett noticed and growled while pulling Rosalie close to him. My brother blushed in embarrassment.
"You must be a wolf too?" He asked when he heard Emmett growl. Both their eyes revealed shocked responses.
"Umm, sure. Tyler, can we talk to you for a second?" Emmett asked. I nodded and sat the pizzas down on the coffee table.
"I'll be back in a min guys, start eating." I told them while Emmett, Rosalie, and I walked into the kitchen.
"Before you guys freak out, the pack had a meeting in the woods, when we were done and started to phase back my brother was coming to find Rover since he ran toward us and saw My sister and me phase back into humans. So, we told them that wolves existed and that only certain people trigger it the gene." I said that all in one breath. I took a seat to catch my breath. I looked up and they both looked at me like I was crazy.
"What?" I asked.
"Well, you didn't tell him what people right?" Rosalie asked.
"Of course, I did because that's my secret to tell." I rolled my eyes. "No I didn't, I figured if you guys wanted to tell him then go ahead, if not then it's no big deal because it doesn't seem like he is going to be turning into a wolf yet." I said.
"Well then let's agree we will only tell him about us if and only if he turns into a wolf." Emmett said.
"Agreed" Rosalie and I both said. We walked back into the living to see everyone relaxed on the couch and all the pizza gone.
"Come on guys, I was hungry too." I said slightly angry. You know that type of anger where you were looking forward to a delicious meal and when you finally get home and it's gone? That type of anger/sadness.
"Oh, don't cry, I saved you 4 slices honey." Jacob, my imprint, my man saved me pizza.
"Did I ever tell you how much I love you?" I asked him and kissed him on the lips. I hear a groan. I looked to see that it was my sister.
"You guys kiss each other all the time, you kiss more than Embry and I." She said. Michael groaned at the information.
"Oh, be quiet Mike, get over it. I'm dating." She replied.
"Doesn't mean I have to like it." He grumbled. Rosalie walked over to my sister.
"I'm Rosalie and this is my husband Emmett, I am so excited to meet you especially hearing everything about you from you m-" I cut her off with a cough and a look.
"-from your brother." She recovered. She gave me a weird look and I waved her off.
"Well nice to meet you too and Emmett you look like you are the best big brother in the world that lets their little sisters date guys.
"Nice to meet you too and no I would not let my little sister date anybody. Since I view Tyler as family, who are you dating?" Emmett asked with a stern stare.
"Ugh, not another one." My sister grumbled.
"My names Mike, I'm Tyler and Briana's older brother." Michael introduced himself and shook both their hands. He paused for a second before scrunching his nose.
"Do you guys smell that?" Mike asked.
"What?" Jacob asked.
"It smells like sugar…but like super sweet, like tooth ache sweet." He said. I groaned because that is the first sign. The heightened smell, it won't be long before he turns.
"What's wrong?" Mike asked sitting down. I looked around the room at everyone, "Does anyone like to tell my brother that he is going to change into a wolf?" I asked out loud.
