"AND GRYFFINDOR WINS!"

Ambrosia sighed. She heard Maggie and Eldon yelling at the Quidditch Umpire and Gryffindor team, calling foul and jeering at anyone and everyone still lingering on the field. With this win against Hufflepuff, they had now placed themselves onto the top of the leader board in the Quidditch Cup. And while Ambrosia might not have been a fan of Quidditch, she still wanted her house to win. In fact, anyone was preferable to Gryffindor winning. And with only two more matches to go Slytherin would have to get a huge score to beat Gryffindor. Or so Maggie kept telling her.

"Don't worry Broisa, we'll win, no worries. The Slytherin team is in great shape, especially their captain. Ah, I mean he's perfect. I mean… he's… amazing… ah… I mean… You know what I mean!" Maggie was blushing madly and getting more and more flustered. Ambrosia decided to take some pity on her best friend and gave her a hug and winked. "Don't worry, I know exactly what you mean!"

Winter was officially over, but the cold weather lingered. Ambrosia would have preferred to be in the common room with Maggie and her brother, having the fire warm her cold fingers and frozen nose. Instead she found herself standing in the hallway outside of the Gryffindor Common rooms, doing her best to ignore the horrendously Fat Lady glaring at her from inside her portrait. After having to climb who knew how many stairs and duck under countless tapestries she was more than a bit irritated. Why was the Gryffindor common room so high up anyway? And why did she have to come all the way up here in the first place just to collect homework of all things? But Remus had insisted on giving her his copy of their homework scroll tonight. Did he expect her to finish the rest of it tonight? If he did then he was in for a big surprise. Ambrosia DeLane did not do homework after 5pm and especially not on a Sunday. That was her time to relax and forget about school for a while. She'd have plenty of time to finish it tomorrow after Herbology.

Speaking of after 5, where was he? She was doing to get in trouble if she stayed out for much longer and she still had to go all the way back down to the dungeons. Ambrosia groaned at the thought. She was never fit to begin with, and just climbing all the way up here left her breathless and with sore thighs.

She was thinking of just leaving and getting the scroll off Lupin tomorrow when she heard a commotion behind her.

Great she thought. The Gryffindor Quidditch team where returning. And with them a certain someone she wanted to avoid! Unfortunately there didn't seem to be anywhere to hide. Groaning in frustration, Ambrosia quickly straightened her robe and adopted a look of utter boredom and contempt. She didn't want to give them the idea that she wanted to be there.

"What's a Slytherin doing here? Don't tell me you got lost!?"

Ambrosia just rolled her eyes and looked away.

"Hey, I'm talking to you!" She felt the group behind her getting more and more irritated with her behaviour.

"Too bad! I'm not about to talk to you, Gryffindork! I'm only here because of Remus, so why don't you keep moving along." Ambrosia had a feeling that that wasn't going to work, especially since James Potter was among the group. That boy had the shortest temper of anyone she had ever met. It didn't help that all his friends were there watching. She really didn't want a confrontation with these losers. Not when she could be doing other, Gryffindor-less things.

"Calm down, she's only upset that we won the Quidditch match today! Now there's no way Slytherin can win!" Ambrosia didn't know who the boy talking was. But he was wearing Quidditch robes and the fact that he looked older than the other Gryffidors meant he was most likely the Captain.

Normally, she could ignore any sports talk, after all she didn't even like sports. But they were insulting her House and she could not let that slide. As she glared at the snickering team, she suddenly remembered something Sirius had told her last year. Instantly her glare changed into a very self-satisfied smirk. "Oh, I get it now. I know why you won today. You were using the Felix Felicis potion that Black and Remus made you last year! Wait till the Headmaster hears about this! Gryffindor cheats at Quidditch by using a Luck potion!" She was so giddy with her discovery that she completely missed Potter throwing Sirius a confused look before turning back to her. "What Luck potion. What the hell are you on about. I've never even heard of this Felix potion. And as if I'd drink any potion Sirius brewed, he's worse at it than Wormtail!" Ambrosia was now just as confused as Potter seemed to be. "Wait, but he told me…" She shot a look at Black, who was making cutting motions across his throat which she ignored. "But if he never gave you any Felix Felicis, then what was in that cauldron?" Potter's eyes widened before he threw an angry look at Sirius, who had frozen before giving James an impish look. "Ahaha… um, surprise?" Rolling his eyes at Sirius, James muttered a quiet 'idiot' before turning to walk past Ambrosia. Before she could say anything to stop the Gryffindors from escaping into their common room she was interrupted by a black blur who ran smack into her, knocking them both over. Remus quickly stuffed some paper into her chest yelling "homework" at her and running back through the entrance, tugging the Portrait closed. Ambrosia was left sitting on the floor, staring at the Fat Lady and clutching the potions homework, looking utterly speechless and confused. "What was that all about?!"
