It had been a week since Bruce and Diana had last talked (at least that's what humans call it). But that morning was the one that would change their lives forever. "The wedding is tomorrow." Diana nearly fainted. "Today?" she choked. He nodded, "I can't go through with this im going to cancel it." Diana shook her head. "No Bruce that would only raise suspicions." Bruce made a fist, "But I don't love her Diana! I love you!" Diana wiped her tears. "But it cant be Bruce it just Cant." She hugged him tightly sobbing into his shoulders. "Im sorry Bruce… but I love you to much to ruin your life now."
That day Bruce and Diana sat at the core and watched the orbiting sun, the last thing they would do together before the wedding. "Its beautiful" Diana exclaimed. "Not as beautiful as you" he stroked her hair quietly. The two sat in silence watching the sun. These moments where the ones you had to cherish.
The next day was the wedding. Diana helped Bruce prepare for the occasion. If she couldn't love him then she would try her best to be there and support him and his choices. Bruce let out a sigh before facing Diana. "I will never forget you" he wrapped his arms around her and kissed her gently. "I will never forget you either Bruce."
Diana joined the crowd of Lantern's gathered to watch the wedding. "Im so sorry Diana.." Rebecca murmured. "Its alright.. I will manage" she sighed. Selena soon arrive with Bruce leading her to the front. Once they were up in front of the crowd the Lantern in charge of wedding ceremonies began to speak. The crowd listened silently as he spoke. Once they got their vows done the lantern looked at Selena.
"Do you take Bruce to be your husband?"
"I do."
"And Bruce do you take Selena as your wife?"
"I…I… I don't!"
The audience gasped and shocked voices spoke out. "What do you mean Bruce?" Selena had hurt in her eyes. "I don't because I don't love you. My true love was and will forever be Diana Prince of the Green Lanterns!"
All eyes turned to Diana in shock, who stood their frozen from the words spoken out of Bruce's mouth. Suddenly there was a crash and Superman flew into the room. "Times up! How you done it yet?" he glared at sinsestro. "I need more time!" he begged. "No! No more time! The first two hostages are coming now" he zoomed over and grabbed Bruce and Diana off the ground. "Times running out, you better be ready." He flew off into space with the two dangling from his hands. "Bruce…" she murmured. "Diana…."
