A/N: Hadam here, I'm so sorry for not updating! We will be updating more regularly from now on!

(Dreamingaboutthestars): LOL, good luck with that

Anyway, sorry for the wait, and we have not, in fact, abandoned the story or died. SO chapter 13 and we will update faster if we get more reviews.

The girls stared in horror as what used to be Gail found vengeance for her fallen friend. Chantelle couldn't do anything except stare with her mouth hanging open as Gail made her way back to the group.

"Gail?" Susan asked the girl, "You do realise what you just did, right?" Gail shrugged, obviously not aware of what she just did.

"Gail you just turned into an African lion," Edmund explained, showing off his knowledge of different species of animals. Gail glared at him.

"I still don't like you, you know," She told him in a deadpan tone. Chantelle smirked from her position on the ground beside Eleanor with Lucy and Susan.

"So, now you believe us and think we can handle ourselves?" Gail questioned as she turned to face Peter pointedly glaring. The blond boy opened and closed his mouth like a fish as he tried to find words for the situation. The group ducked as another volley of arrows was sent flying towards them.

"We've got to get Eleanor out of here!" Reena shouted after the danger had passed, well short-term anyway, Lucy nodded, agreeing.

"How are we going to get her to the first aid tent?" She asked, looking pointedly at both her brothers and Caspian. Edmund nodded slightly,

"I'll carry her," He said to the group. Gail grinned a little too widely for comfort, and Chantelle glared at her. Edmund picked up Eleanor's limp body whilst avoiding the arrows in her side, which they had decided to leave in until they got to the hospital tent.

"Wait!" Chantelle shouted to Edmund as he started to walk off. "Give me a second," she added quietly once she had reached him. She leaned in closer to Eleanor and whispered in her ear, "Eleanor, you're the sister I never had, please, please don't give up." Chantelle gave Eleanor an awkward hug, then stepped away, tears pooling in her eyes. She joined the other royals, and her friends as they turned around, facing the opposing army.

"Let's finish this," Gail said, her grey eyes steely with determination as she transformed into a lion, having already mastered how to shift from one form to another. Chantelle and Reena drew their weapons, having established that there would be no time to try and figure it out. They worked in sync with the royals, slashing down any enemy troops. As an angry Telmarine made a swing at Reena, Chantelle launched at him, transforming into a mountain lion.

Chantelle roared loudly, its sound echoing of around the battle. Fear was no longer hidden in the soldiers' eyes as they ran helplessly towards the lion, no choice in the matter as orders were orders. Pouncing, Chantelle landed on a man, clawing his armour. Letting out a cry of pain the man reached for his sword swinging it up but before it made contact, a blur of gold flashed past Chantelle, finishing the job Chantelle had started. The soldier swung wildly, stinging Chantelle's shoulder as drops of blood dripped out, staining the grass the battle was being fought on. Chantelle stumbled a little, her front right leg giving way as she backed up a little, making her way back to the royals and cowering in their shadows. Chantelle focused on her human form and her skin melted back into its original shape. She felt a pricking in her shoulder and looked down. Her wound had closed up, and somehow the girl knew that this was a part of her powers. Chantelle prepared her bow and arrow as she stood up beside Susan and began to shoot arrows into the hordes of soldiers now engulfing her friends. Gail roared, and Chantelle's new-found power translated the roars into words.

"Get your butt back here – as a lion dammit Chantelle!"

An American lion roared from beside Gail's figure.

"Yeah, Chantelle, we could really use some help over here!" Chantelle gasped as she realised that the American lion had been Reena's transformation. Reena had been her saviour. Chantelle looked at Susan and transformed into a lion once again. She bared her teeth at the oncoming troops and growled from the back of her throat. Gail saw what was happening and, managing to untangle herself from the pile of soldiers, and went over to Chantelle to build up their defences. Reena joined the group and, soon enough, the three lionesses were prowling forwards, now surrounded on both sides by silent Telmarine soldiers. Every now and again, a soldier would pluck up the courage to take the girls on, but the soldier would soon be at least unconscious with a swift swipe across the face by one of the lionesses who continued to make their way towards to the Telmarine tent.

Gail walked in first, followed by Reena, and finally Chantelle. The army's commander turned when he heard the tent flap opening and the look on his face at the sight of the three lions was one of pure horror. He began to stutter.

"Ple- Please, no, my family, I have a wife and two children at home. Please, don't kill me. They need me. My, my wife, she would not know what to do if I could not be there for her."

Chantelle pulled back at these words, and left the tent, the words weighing heavily with guilt as she recalled all of the soldiers she had killed that day. By now, the man was on his knees, begging for mercy. Gail transformed into her human form.

"Don't ever try to invade Narnia again. You've already tried, and failed." The man, now out of options nodded his head in understanding, and spoke with an advisor in hushed tones. The commander of the Telmarine army then put on his armour, and stepped out of the tent, Reena's lion form following him and snarling threateningly. The commander trudged down the path the girls had made, and stood in front of the royals, Chantelle, Gail and Reena, all three girls now having transformed.

"A peace offering," The Telmarine commander said, holding out a box. Chantelle took it gently, opening the lid and peering inside. There she found lying on a velvet cushion a single flower. It was bright red, with petals that licked out in waves from the centre. Susan gasped.

"A fire flower," The gentle queen said, stroking the petals. Peter bowed to the commander in an act of thanks.

"Narnia accepts a mutual respect to be shared between the Telmarines and the Narnians." The Commander bowed his head, before walking away and ordering his troops to come with him. Chantelle handed the box to Susan and turned towards the Narnian campsite, sprinting towards the healing tent where Eleanor lay, her hands pale and unmoving.

"ELEANOR!" Chantelle screamed when she saw her friend, the only one left in the tent apart from the healers. Tears began to pour down her face as she stroked Eleanor's hand. "Eleanor, please please please wake up, I need you, I've got a confession," Chantelle sobbed.

"What is it?" Edmund asked from behind Chantelle, "I left for ten seconds to tell Lucy how she was going, and then I came back and you were in here, telling Eleanor that you had a confession. What is it?" Chantelle opened her mouth and closed it again.

"Nothing," She whispered as the rest of the royals, along with Gail and Reena, came into the tent. Gail and Reena both crouched on the floor beside Eleanor's bed and Chantelle. Edmund looked at Chantelle carefully as the girl looked back at him in shock. The youngest king turned towards his brother, sisters and friend.

"Shall we pack up then and go home?" Lucy smiled.

"I think we shall,"

After a few words to one of the soldiers, Peter walked to the stables. He emerged with eight horses, including the ones the girls had ridden to the war. The girls walked over to their horses, too tired to wonder where they had come from. Edmund picked up Eleanor (after being assured by Lucy she would be OK) and laid her so that he could carry her home on his horse. They made the journey home, happy that the battle was finally over. Seeming to read their minds, Gail, Reena and Chantelle spoke to the group.

"It's not over." Gail said. When she was met with confused looks from all of the royals Reena spoke,

"Aslan spoke with us, and I saw the look in his eyes." she added, then Chantelle whispered

"This isn't the end."
