A.N It seems when I'm busy all I have is motivation and story lines to write down, when I have all the time in the world. Nothing. Had the biggest writers block. I know where I'm going with this story. Just not how to get there. Sorry for how long it's been. I'm going to try harder to churn them out. Thank you all for the positive comments and support I've gotten.

The first week at Hogwarts was arguably the best and worst week of Harry's life. He loved 'learning' from his new teachers. His favourite being Professor McGonagall who's strict demeanour terrified and yet earned respect among the first years. While Harry had studied animagi it was amazing to see it in practice. However, for some unknown reason, the potions master hated Harry. The first potions lesson Harry attended consisted of Professor Snape asking questions a fifth year would struggle answering. While Godric had warned Harry of not drawing attention to himself and his knowledge, his anger got the better of him and he answered each question flawlessly. Much to everyone's amazement and Professor Snape's contempt. Godric was not pleased, but understood why he did it. The second problem was Ginny. The first few days were fine, brilliant even. She loved listening into lessons while cooking, cleaning or learning how to knit. The last couple of days though they hadn't even had a conversation, she always brushed him off with a tired 'talk later' or 'busy'. Harry didn't understand what had happened to make this change but he was determined to find out. There was one good thing to Ginny's silence, Harry became closer to Hermione, Draco and Neville. While Ron was still annoying and hot-headed. The four-some soon learned to ignore him. Fred and George often joined them, which Harry was surprised at. The pair were extremely popular, but they still hung out with the first years every day, even if it was just walking to breakfast or eating lunch with them. Hermione was on a mission to get them to join the little study session the four had after classes, which they always had declined- saying that homework 'wasn't their thing'. It wasn't Neville's either apparently, who struggled with every piece of homework they got apart from Herbology. It was because of him they started the study group as all of them had one subject they struggled with. Draco struggled with Charms. Hermione, while still being extremely good at every subject, insisted she needed help in Defence Against the Dark Arts, and Harry pretended to hate Herbology in order to get Neville's confidence up. Harry looked around their table in the library. He couldn't believe how much at home he felt here. He considered the people around him to be family, and he trusted every one of them.

Which asked the question.

Should he tell them?

He wanted Ginny's advice but she hadn't spoken to him all day. He moved his chair forward and buried himself in the book he was reading as he reached out in his mind.

Ginny?

Jeez. You made me jump. Just give me two seconds. I'll go ask for a break.

Harry waited patiently, his mind spinning. Ask for a break? It was nearly dinner.

Okay. I have five minutes. How are you?

Missing you. What's wrong? You haven't spoke to me in two days.

I'm sorry Harry. I really am. It's just… Mum's piling on the chores, I have to do everyone's now, not just my own and when I'm finished I just want to sleep.

Oh…. I'm sorry. I didn't realise it's gotten so bad.

It's not. It's keeping me busy.

Ginny…

It's fine Harry. How's lessons? I have been going in and out when I get a chance.

They're okay I guess. Snape's horrible.

I don't know what his problem is. He's bullying you.

I can handle it. Godric told me not to rise to his taunts, it will just make him happy.

Okay. If you're sure.

I am.

Ginny yawned softly. Anything else I should know?

Urm… no… Not really. Harry frowned. When did it get so… awkward between them?

I should go then…

Harry needed to talk to her more. He swore he got headaches after not talking to her for a while. Ginny! Did you get my letter? He just wanted to talk to her a little more.

I… What letter?

Harry frowned I wrote to you. The first day. Remember? I told you.

Yeah, but I never got it… I just assumed…. Ginny bit her lip and fell silent.

What did you assume?

That you forgot to send it… you've been so busy with you're new friends and lessons…

You thought I forgot you?

Yeah.

Harry sighed Ginny. You're my best friend, I'll never forget you. I've been so worried about you the last few days.

I'm sorry. I've been waiting days for that letter. Mum asked what I was doing and she said you wouldn't write to me because you have your own friends now and don't need me. I was too embarrassed to ask you…

Oh Ginny. Harry stood up, quickly excusing himself from the group and walking through the library. Finding a quiet corner. Ginny. Never be scared to ask me anything. I could have told you all of this days ago and stopped you worrying.

I know… I'm sorry.

Don't be. It's not you're fault. The question is. Hedwig came back two days ago. With no letter.

So if I don't have it…

Who does?

Harry, you didn't write anything about….

No, no of course not. I just wrote about the train ride and the Hogwarts feast…

So who would be interested in it?

I don't know. I've got an idea to get letters to you. Leave it with me okay?

Okay. I… Oh crap. Mum's calling me. I'm sorry. I'll talk to you tonight okay?

Yeah. Sure. Look after yourself okay?

Yeah.

Harry sighed before heading back to the others.

"Everything okay Harry?" Hermione asked.

"Yeah. I just need to talk to the twins about something. I've nearly finished my homework anyway"

Neville looked up. "When you come back can you help with McGonagall's essay please?"

Harry smiled "Sure. I won't be long." He picked up his bag and books before walking away.

"He's been acting weird." Hermione commented.

Draco nodded "He's been really quiet the last couple of days… I would say he was homesick but…"

"The Burrow is his home, even if he only lived there a couple of months."

"But he isn't very fond of Mrs Weasley, and the twins are here." Hermione pointed out. "He wasn't close to Ron or Percy."

"He might miss Ginny." Draco wondered "She's a year younger isn't she? Harry and the twins talk about her a lot when talking about their summer."

"And he did write that letter. He spent hours on it. Maybe she hasn't wrote to him back yet and he's worried?"

"Why would he be worried though?" Hermione sighed. "She isn't in danger. She might just be busy."

"Do you think we should ask him?" Neville worried.

Draco shook his head. "Let's see how it plays out. If he gets worse. We'll talk to him."

"Fred? George?" Harry finally found them in the common room. "Can I talk to you for a minute?"

The boys looked up and smiled "Sure Harry." Fred smiled "Is it trouble maker related?"

Harry laughed "No.. No… I am working on something though, I'll tell you when it's done."

George smiled "Well I'm intrigued. What can we do you for?"

Harry bit his lip and looked around. The common room was empty. However, he couldn't take any chances. "Do you have anywhere we could talk? Privately?"

Both twins looked at each other before nodding. "Follow us"

Harry had no idea where they were going. He had never been to this part of the castle. They soon approached a statue of an old witch. Fred pulled out his want and whispered something Harry couldn't hear. Harry gasped as the witch moved, a passageway becoming visible behind it. George motioned for Harry to follow them into the dark corridor. The door closing behind them.

"Lumos." Fred's wand lit up, followed by Georges a second later. Harry hesitated before lighting his own wand easily. The twins looked at him.

"That's a third year spell." George gaped. "We only learnt it yesterday."

Harry sighed "I haven't been completely honest with you guys but before I can tell you, I need to make sure you can't tell anyone. Have you guys heard of Occulmency?"

George laughed "Of course we have, Dumbledore uses it all the time. We wondered why we kept getting caught when we messed around so we bugged the school."

"We overheard McGonagall telling Dumbledore to stop using Legilimency on students." Fred continued. "Something about it being against the code of conduct or something like that. So we looked into it. Reading minds! No wonder we were always in trouble. I have to say, when we pranked that Slytherin we were the first people Dumbledore came too. His face when he couldn't get into our heads! Priceless!" Fred chortled.

Harry looked between them "So you're already able to stop Dumbledore from reading you?" He asked looking impressed.

Fred nodded proudly. "Yep. Took us a year to master it. It's easier when there's two of you…"

"You're secrets safe with us. Harry. We promise." George smiled. Harry nodded before taking a deep breath.

Luckily, both boy's listened to his story, didn't ask any questions until he had finally finished.

"So you're telling us… That you have the spirit of Godric Gryffindor in your head?"

"And that Ginny is you're soulmate? And that she's also in your head?"

Harry nodded. "Pretty much. There is more, but I want to check with her how much I should tell you."

"So why are you telling us?" Fred asked confused.

"I was always going to tell you. You're like my brothers." Harry said blushing a little. Both boys let out 'aw's' and hugged him

"You're like a brother to us too. More than some of our other brothers." George smiled.

"And if you're really soulmates with our 10 year old sister, which sounds really wrong. Means that we'll be family soon."

Harry blushed deeper "We're best friends. That's all. Maybe one day we'll be more but we're not thinking about that until we're older. Like way older." He tried to explain.

Fred laughed "We didn't think you'd be getting married now. You guys have always been weird around each other. This just explains it."

"Well… There is a reason I told you so soon." Harry said changing the subject slightly. "Your mother."

"What about her?"

"I wrote Ginny a letter, she never got it. I think Molly took the letter to try and stop us talking to each other." Harry quickly explained "And I don't know what's happening, but Ginny is exhausted. She does everyone's chores, I know she doesn't have much to do, but she's 10. She should be playing and having fun. Not at learning to be a housewife school."

Fred glanced at George. "Mums always been... overprotective of Ginny. She's the only Weasley Girl in seven generations, the seventh and youngest child too."

"I understand that but treating her like this will push her away?" Harry argued.

"Look, what if you put your letters in with ours? Mum doesn't check our letters. At least I don't think so"

"It was just a cover really. So no one would wonder why we were so close and then never wrote." Harry said softly "But I might write one. Just to make her happy. Tell me when you send her the next one. I'll have it ready by then."

Fred smiled "Deal." He said. "I can't believe this. You're more powerful than either of us, and we're two years older than you!"

Harry laughed "I'm not powerful. I just have a lot of knowledge."

George pulled out a piece of paper. "Harry, since you trusted us, we want to return the favour. This is the Marauders Map."

"It's a blank bit of parchment." Harry said confused.

"It's much more than that. I solemnly swear that I'm up to no good."

Harry gasped as the parchment transformed in front of his eyes. "Messrs Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs, Purveyors of Aids to Magical Mischief-Makers are proud to present THE MARAUDER'S MAP." He read out.

Fred opened it. "This is the whole castle. This is how we knew about this corridor. It leads into Hogsmade. It's so good. You can see everyone. Look, there we are." He pointed.

Harry scanned the map in amazement "Wow… Is that really…"

"Dumbledore? In his study, yeah. He paces a lot."

"This is brilliant. This is how you do it?"

George smiled "Exactly." He went to continue but frowned as Harry froze. "Harry? What have you seen?"

Harry numbly pointed to the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom.

"What? It's Professor Quirrell. With a student… Tom Riddle."
