Wow, all this new footage of Rio 2 coming in a day after another is really getting me excited for the film to arrive already. Speaking of which isn't it just less than 2 months away now. Not long to go now Boys and girls. Let's press on. Sorry it has taken forever for me to update, I am trying to finish Pokémon first but I am doing this to remind you all that I have not abandoned Rio and I will return as soon as Pokémon is finished.
Chapter 13: Past memories
In the Jungle on another day, the Blue macaws were on the move. Blu, Jewel, Cortez, Lyra, Carly, Jonas and Azura were all heading away from the direction of the city heading towards an open area of the jungle which they all liked. Jonas and Blu were at the front leading but Blu was more like following Jonas as well.
They were on their way to their destination of the open grassy area. One thought crossed Blu's mind though "I wonder why Asra and Pearl didn't want to come and wanted to bond with the kids, it doesn't make any sense". Blu looked to Jewel who was flying beside him and then saw Lyra on the other side behind him "Hey Lyra".
Lyra looked to Blu as they flew on and Blu looked forward so he would be able to stay on track "What is it Blu?" Blu almost immediately answered her "Why did Asra and pearl not want to join us on a day out". Lyra made a smile "Well they said they would like to look after the kids and get to bond with them, but I suspect they may be thinking of taking that further stage time". Jewel listening in on the conversation said to her "I highly doubt that, Pearl may be happy now but she wouldn't be rushing that far".
Lyra then asked Jewel "So how come you didn't bring the kids today". Jewel quickly replied to her "Well they are all tired for some reason, probably all that exercise this morning, they need to relax right now I think". Blu looked to Lyra and then at Carly who was flying with Azura and having a conversation of their own. Blu had a thought about it and suspected Carly was involved.
Ever since Carly joined the family just over a week ago now, Blu has not been able to properly talk to Asra as if he has been off putting of it. "Asra has this got something to do with her". Blu believed that was the genuine real reason that Asra didn't come was because he doesn't want anything to do with Carly, as for Pearl, she just wants to be with Asra, knowing how much she has come to love him.
Blu did feel a little bad about this as what he wished for was for everyone to get along and be happy, but unfortunately it won't be easy for him as Asra refuses to even set an eye on her. But if it wasn't for Jewel though he would be struggling about it. Jonas looked back to see Blu deep in thought "Hey Blu, you alright"? After hearing that Jewel looked to Blu in curiosity as Blu looked to him and smiled "Yeah everything is fine, I am just thinking about something".
Jonas made a comment to him "Well knowing you, you would make a thought about anything". Jewel rolled her eyes a little and said "That is my Blu bird for you". Blu smiled to Jewel and said "Thank you my Precious Jewel". Cortez made a comment to them "Alright you two, can we at least have some public decency today please". Jewel made a giggle and Blu knew what that meant "Sorry brother, I can't promise that, it depends on Blu making me swoon or not". Blu then said "I do not make you swoon, nor do I need to".
Jewel was curious and asked him "And why is that Blu bird". Blu made a grin to him "Well do you need me to explain to you Jewel, one smile or wink or smile is enough for you". Jewel nodded "Maybe, isn't my fault you are extremely handsome and cute". Blu couldn't resist forming a blush as that always gets to him. Cortez saw this and said "and the blush machine is away".
Jewel rolled her eyes and said "Ignore him Blu; he is just jealous of the attention". Cortez then argued back "I am not an attention seeker". Blu agreed with him "Your kind of making me sound like one". Jewel shook her head "You both know what I meant by that". Blu and Cortez looked to each other as Cortez shook his head a little and Blu agreed with him. They flew on as they approached their destination.
While they were flying, Carly was looking to her right and wondering "This place…" She narrowed her eyes a little as it was looking more and more familiar to her, as if she had been there before. But the jungle all looked familiar in a human's eye. Lyra looked back to her and was confused by her and how she was acting. "Mom, you okay". Everyone looked back to see she was continuing to look right "Carly, what is it".
Carly didn't answer but instead she instantly flapped her wings and banked right heading away from the group. Blu stopped and said "Where are you going?" Carly did not look back and just continued moving in the direction. Jewel quickly said to the group "Lets follow her". All the birds in agreement quickly turned and went tailing after Carly as she was still in sight but far ahead of them. She had narrowed her eyes and looked like she was determined and driven towards something.
They were all following as quickly as they could as they moved further into the Jungle and away from home. Carly had a thought to herself "It cannot be, not this place". She narrowed her eyes as she continued in her thoughts. Blu was watching her as he chased after her but he began to notice something as well in the surroundings. Lyra looked to Blu and asked him "Do you know what mom is doing".
Blu wasn't sure how to respond as he said "I don't know but this place, it is…I don't know". Jewel curiously was watching Blu as he looked around. Suddenly Carly saw a tree and her eyes opened wide. She flew towards the tree as everyone was watching. She flew into the tree as everyone else arrived in the area. Blu suddenly realised where they were and he flew onto a branch and landed himself down. He looked around and then looked down a little saddened by the reality of what has now happened.
Jewel landed next to him and now understood herself due to her past experience with Blu being here and draped a wing over his back saying "Are you okay Blu". Blu looked to her and made a weak nod "Yeah I will be, but remembering this and what she told us is, just hurting". Jewel went and gave him a kiss on the cheek as everyone landed around. Cortez then asked him "Where are we Blu".
Blu looked to him and slowly said "If my memory has anything to go on, this was my home 16 years ago when I was just a chick with Asra, Lyra, Mom and Dad. But I have no memory of them all just this image of these abandoned surroundings and being smuggled. Lyra had now clicked it all as the memories came back to her and she now looked down a little upset.
Jonas and Azura were shocked to hear all of that and looked around "This place does look deserted, has anyone ever lived here ever since what happened here". Blu looked down and said "I don't regret meeting Linda but seeing all this and my past with my family is just, hurting to me". Jewel comforted him and said "Blu it is okay, I know it hurts". Blu accepted the comfort and allowed Jewel to nuzzle him. Lyra then said next "I still don't understand what happened to Dad, he just… disappeared one day and everything changed".
Blu looked towards the hollow to hear sobbing and he quickly made his way along with Lyra and Jewel and looked inside to see Carly sobbing with her wings wrapped around a small rock. Blu entered and said "Mom?" Carly looked to him and showed the stone "Asra always played with this small rock, throwing it against the way or siting on it. He always treasured it".
Carly looked to the disused nest which was a nest "And when you was born, your father and I both treasured all three of you. We poured our hearts and provided you all with a start and then everything went down and our lives were ruined". Lyra was beginning to become upset upon hearing that and listened as Carly looked around and said "This place was supposed to be where all three of you would have a great start to your lives, it was all planned out, Why did it have to go wrong".
She then erupted into tears and fell down and was on her leg knees. Lyra was beginning to form tears herself and didn't know what to do. Blu looked down and was also in sadness over the situation. He never realised how tough it was for Carly to deal with all the emotion she was going through right now. Jewel came to his side and comforted him as she draped a wing around him and leaned against him "Blu its okay". Blu made a smile to her and nuzzled her back "Thanks Jewel, but I am not taking it the worse right now".
Lyra now went up to Carly and said "Come here mom". Carly looked to see Lyra had extended her wings and Carly made a tearful smile and embraced Lyra in a hug who returned it. Lyra said "Everything happens by chance or by fate, once it happens it cannot be changed". Hearing that Carly said "But why us, we were just a family heading towards a future together but why did it have to go wrong".
Blu now finding words answered her question "Because fate decided it. We cannot change what happened in the past but we can do one thing". Carly and Lyra separated from their hug and looked to Blu and Carly said "What is that?" Blu now gave his answer out "Only to live for a great future. We need to live our lives to the fullest and ensure we have a successful life from now until they all end for the next".
Carly, Lyra and Jewel were amazed by what they just heard from Blu. Jewel smiled and said to Blu proudly "No one could have said that better then you Blu, You are absolutely correct". Blu smiled to Jewel saying "It is the truth, what is done is done and we only have now to worry about". Lyra nodded to him "Right" Carly looked back down to the ground of the hollow and said "I know you are right Blu but I just need a minute. Okay".
Blu nodded to her and patiently said "Of course, we will be outside when you're ready". Carly acknowledged what he said and turned back around as Blu, Jewel and Lyra went and exited the hollow one by one where Cortez, Azura and Jonas were waiting. Blu stood on a branch as Jonas said to him "The was quite a speech Blu, your quite a pep-talker". Blu sighed a little and said "Well it was the truth though, I believe so".
Jewel nodded and stood next to him on the branch "Yep Blu, It is true, now me and you have a family to look after, like you said, now is what we need to focus on". Blu looked to her and agreed to her "Yep you and the kids are my main priority, nothing else". Jewel seductively smiled to him and gave him a kiss which made Blu relax.
Cortez then made a comment "Can't you two get a room". Jewel looked to him and glared "As if you and Lyra don't kiss in public". Lyra then made a blush while Cortez made a sigh and Blu spoke "Well your reply just gave it away". Jewel then made a giggle to Blu's comment and said "Well said Blu, told them right".
In the hollow Carly was looking all around with thoughts in her head "Why did this have to happen to our family, our poor children were separated and had horrible things done to them. Why?" She looked to the nest which had a lot of history put into it 16 years ago and Carly gave one more thought "Why did you do it to us?"
Okay that wraps up another chapter. Now I am going to finish Pokémon and then fully commit to this, no worry, Pokémon story is nearing the end now, not far to go. See you when I return to Rio.
