Chapter 13 Carpenters Daughters "Rays New Secret"

Emily

I have been pregnant forever, I think everyone thinks I am going to deliver any day now. My birthday is coming up soon. I will be 16 and able to drive. Rays been teaching us to drive, well Ana knows how to drive already. Kate and I tried to get Rays race car driver friend to teach us, but he was in a huge wreck and can"t drive yet. Ray loves taking me to my appointments. After he met my newest doctor, he makes a point of being there. I suspect something is going on with them. Both have the biggest grins as I walk in her offices. Her name is Elizabeth Turner shes a widow and has one son. Her son is in our school, he's a nerd a cute one though.

Ray

I so wished Elizabeth would go out with me, but she says she can't because I am a patients father. I keep trying though. I try to be at events she goes to and anything school related. I know she makes time for Jimmy and anything he is involved in. I have even tried getting the girls to get them over to the workshop. Ana just says dad I asked him, but his mom nixed it for now.

Ana

Think dad is getting the love bug, he's not dated that I know about. I suspect he has a thing for Emilys doctor. Even Grace has been trying to manipulate the situation. I think he's asking the wrong people. I think this is a Kate job. Shes the skilled at setting up dates for people. Even though Rays dating policy is no dating until we can drive away from scumbags. And of course have our drivers license.

Kate

Ana and Emily just approached me and said they need my expertise. I am sitting there chuckling at my sisters antics. They want my help on getting Ray a date with Dr Turner. I told them until shes not Emilys doctor there is a no dating patients family members policy. But she has a plan and it consists of all of us going to everything they are at. So far she says theres going to be 10 events just this month at school alone. Then fund raising events as well, so thats 5 more. Ray will attend those as well.

Ray

Those girls are up to something again. I guess as long as I get no phone calls from school or the cops it can't be too bad.

I am finishing the baby bed tonight along with a rocker and changing table. All are surprises for Emilys baby.

We were given good news regarding Elena, she was given life with no possibility of parole. That was just for Richards death. The other sentences start at 5 and go to life as well. Each sentence has to served separately. And they still have to try her in Vegas. They are trying to move the trial here. Carrick says it would be better if it was. Right now she is in solitary confinement and has a no contact with anyone order.

Carrick

I have made it clear to the judge that Elena is still a danger to her victims. Even behind bars she can be manipulative. My big concern is Jack Hyde after her confession regarding the three missing girls. No one has seen him since she did. All her lies who knows if shes telling the truth. After all she lied all those years to us. Plus she arranged for Richards death.

Ray

I have put out certain feelers regarding Hyde and no one has ever seen him. We know he exist though, he's just really a slippery criminal and escaped justice every time. At least Elena can't get free again. She can't get custody of Richards children even if she was free. No Judge or court, Cps agency would take them from me at this point. Emilys adoption went through quicker than Kate and Anas. With Kate and Anas I had to find Carlas death certificate, in the end I had to get Vegas to send one. Carrick had to finally request it.

I love my girls, but I miss having a grown woman to hold. This time I want someone who gives love to me and my family. I am hoping for Dr Turner, but alas I keep getting turned down. I may have to resort to other means to get her to reconsider a date with me. Like bringing a good friend to social outings and I know just the lady. Gail Jones might be willing as long as Jason Taylor doesn't mind. They both work for Christian Grey. If not Gail then she has friends lol. My housekeeper also knows a few single ladies too.

Even though I have a thing for Dr Turner, I am single and I want to mingle.
