BTW, since they are like three Kuroko family members here, I decided to use given names for Tetsuya throughout this story. Okie dokie?
And I finally drew how I picture the Wind Riders to be but I'm using pens, I'm still not good with digital art. So if you guys wanna see it, go to my FB page, Alina Kayyah AnimeGirl. But I'll be posting them a bit later.

It was already getting dark outside when the three males reached the shop lots.
Walking to the nearest convenience store, Kazuya went inside to buy the snacks while the two childhood friends waited outside. Despite the cool breezy weather, Tetsuya's cheeks felt oddly hot. There was an awkward atmosphere surrounding the two. Tetsuya kept his head low while Ogiwara was smiling as always, it was clearly seen that his smile was a nervous one.
"Umm…" Both boys had opened their mouths and turned to each other at the same time. "Ah…" and then shut them at the same time, looking away.
Wow, this was really awkward…
Well, they haven't seen each other in a quite some time now and even after the Winter Cup, they didn't have the chance to speak to each other. Ogiwara just happened to show up during their match with Rakuzan and just when Seirin had lost hope, he help regain that faith in Tetsuya and his team by shouting inspirations and encouragement followed by the rest of the Miracles.
The dark brunette stretched his arms and leaned further into the roadside divider they were on. "Ahhh! It's so cold!" He exclaimed suddenly, startling the sky-bluenette beside him a bit. "It's cold but no snow. Ugh, the weather in Japan sure is weird right, Kur-errr…Tetsuya?"
Ogiwara's smile was enough to make Tetsuya's heart skip a beat. He hasn't seen that smile he had longed for in quite some time so of course he misses it. "Yes, it sure is."
Another silence afterwards. Ogiwara scratched the back of his neck a little and before he could say anything else, Tetsuya beat him to it.
"You know, Ogiwara-kun, we never got the chance to talk to each other after Seirin won the Winter Cup. Your encouragement during the game really helped me a lot and if it wasn't for you, I would have never gotten back on my feet. I never got to thank you for it. Thank you very much, Ogiwara-kun." Tetsuya offered the dual-coloured haired boy the most sincere smile he could muster while bowing.
This caused Ogiwara to flush red and it definitely wasn't from the cold.
The next thing the Phantom Player knew was that he was wrapped tightly in a pair of warm and strong arms, his face pressed flushed against a warm chest. Looking up, he could see that Ogiwara was savouring this moment just between them. Because it was already past dark, so there was no one else to disrupt their time together.
Tetsuya wrapped his own arms around the dual-haired boy's waist to return the hug.
The two childhood friends broke the long hug. Smiling warmly to each other with the taller boy's hands on the smaller one's hips with the latter's hands on the former's shoulders. "Hey Kuroko, errr, Tetsuya… man that feels weird…ahh anyway! Remember the first time we met?" Ogiwara asks suddenly, Tetsuya tilted his head.
"Why the sudden question, Ogiwara-kun?"
The orange-haired teen scratched his cheek. "Um, remember when I told you to call me 'Onii-chan' because I was older…?" His smile turned coy but Tetsuya's eyes narrowed in on him.
"Ogiwara-kun, are to trying to….?"
"Just for old time sakes, can you say Shige-nii once more? Pretty please?" The klutzy teen presented his most adorable pouting face and tried to enlarge his eyes into a pleading look, hoping that could make the bluenette give in.
Tetsuya's eyes twitched once or twice before a sigh. "Alright, I'll do it so stop doing that please." Now it was the pale teen who pouted.
Ogiwara smiled brightly at his small victory. "Now…say it…"
Tetsuya's pout didn't ceased as he looked away from his childhood friend slightly, not meeting his eyes. "S-shige-n-niichan…"
"Hmm…?" Ogiwara didn't stop his teasing. "I didn't catch that~"
"S-shige-niichan…" Tetsuya managed to say, louder this time.
"Ahhhh I totally miss that!" Ogiwara stretched his arms upwards in satisfaction.
"I'll get you for this Ogiwara-kun…"
"Hehehe I like to see you try~!"
"Ogiwara-kun…may I ask you a question?"
"Hmm?"
Tetsuya looks at Ogiwara directly in his eyes, the latter flinching a bit. "Are my eyes…still the same to you?"
"Eh?"
"The same eyes that you feared so much, back then during our middle school years. Do you still…fear me?" Tetsuya didn't spare a glance at Ogiwara afterwards as he looked somewhere else when he was talking.
The dual-haired teen blinked a couple of times with a guilty look etched upon his features. Despite being the victim of Teikou's cruel play back then, he didn't consider Tetsuya's feelings how he had felt after the latter saw the game but Ogiwara couldn't had the guts to look at his azure eyes. Indeed, he was terrified of the eyes of the Generation of Miracles which were cold and almost heartless but what made even more frightening was how his own childhood friend had the same eyes but thought he could still see some of the warm light was still in them.
"I'm sorry for what my teammates did and I wasn't there to help you and-"
"NO! YOU SHOULDN'T BE KUROKO!"
The volume of Ogiwara's voice and the sudden action of the taller boy grabbing his shoulders surprised Tetsuya. "No, you don't have to apologise. It's not your fault. You weren't even in that game so you have no right to say sorry!"
Tetsuya smiles sadly at the teen. "I will apologise on their behalf because knowing their egos, they'll most likely to never apologise on their own."
"I accept if it's from Kuroko but I guess you could say that I've let the past go. What happened in the match between Meikou and Teikou is now a mere memory. I wanna keep living in the present and maybe I'll plan for the future!" Ogiwara gave his signature optimist's smile to which made Tetsuya's heart flutter.
"What happened in the past no longer bothers me. Though I might never actually forgive your teammates but hey, I won't dwell on it. But I really missed you Kuroko, and I wanna play with you again!"
Tetsuya smiles wider than before with his eyes sparkling. "Ogiwara-kun…"
And without warning, the pale boy hugged the taller one again, surprising him at first but the embrace was quickly returned.
"Awww how adorable~"
A playful voice singsongs in their ears, quickly cutting off their moment. Turning to the source, both teens blushed furiously as they were caught by none other than Kuroko Kazuya in their intimate moment.
"O-onii-san! H-how long have been standing there?!" Tetsuya stammered.
"Hehehe, about a solid minute. I caught everything you said your little moment together." The older Kuroko couldn't resist teasing his younger brother as the two childhood friends broke off their hug, still blushing.
"Awww chill out boys. I was the only one watching!"
"But that's still embarrassing Kazu-nii!" Ogiwara whines.
Still allowing himself a last chuckle, he handed a plastic bag to the two younger ones. "Here ya go, some ChuChu Pops! And some cola too."
The two boys' eyes widened as the nostalgia hits them hard. "Wahh just like back then! Thanks Kazu-nii!" Ogiwara impatiently pops the treat in his mouth. "MMMM SHO GHOOD!"
The two Kuroko brothers chuckled at the silly teen who was engrossed in his sweet treat. Walking to a nearby street basketball court, the three settled down a bench to enjoy their snacks. Luckily, it was empty.
Licking his lychee-flavoured popsicle, Kazuya glances at the two teens beside him who were happily eating away.
"I'm sorry for what my teammates did and I wasn't there to help you and-"
"NO! YOU SHOULDN'T BE KUROKO!"
"What happened in the match between Meikou and Teikou is now a mere memory."
The words kept playing inside his mind. 'Just what happened between Ogiwara-kun and Tet-chan's old teammates? From their conversation, it didn't sound good at all.' Thinking for a minute, he decided to pop the question.
"Ogiwara-kun, may I ask what you and Tet-chan were talking about?"
The two looked at the oldest one in surprise. "Oh about the whole apology? It's…" Ogiwara took a deep breath before continuing. "It's a very long story Kazu-nii, you may have to get comfortable…"
Learning about the two's middle school past was quite the shock for Kazuya, because he wasn't there during those times. How Tetsuya went to Teikou, he and Ogiwara meeting up again, the dreaded match between Meikou and Teikou and how things changed between them all.
Later, the three went back home as it was getting really late. Bidding their goodbyes but promising to meet up again soon, the two childhood friends shared one more hug with Kazuya smiling warmly at the scene.
At last the two were able to achieve something today;
The restoration of their friendship.
For Ogiwara Shigehiro, the burden was finally lifted off his chest but for one Kuroko Tetsuya, it wasn't over yet…
Little did he know what the Generation of Miracles have in store for him.
~~The next morning, Akashi's Tokyo home~~~
Yawning, Himuro rubbed the sleep out of his eyes as he headed for the bathroom. Thankful to Akashi for letting them stay in his Tokyp home, it would have been a pain to catch a train back to Akita that late yesterday.
Luckily, the two Yosen players had informed their parents and school that won't be returning to their dorms in Yosen during this weekend.
After doing his business, he still wonders how Atsushi and the rest of Miracles are going to talk with Kuroko-kun about the incident.
'But still what a shock. To think that Kuroko-kun is in fact the Phantom Idol, KURO-KUN! He's managed to keep it a secret this long and yet…' The shooting guard of Yosen sighs exasperatedly. '..all of us just had to be there at the wrong time. I really feel bad for doing that to the boy now.'
Though technically, yes, it was their faults for doing something as sneaky as spying on Tetsuya for his 'odd behaviour' with Kise but because of that, they had unintentionally discovered something they shouldn't have.
Walking down the stairs, Himuro sees Akashi with Murasakibara eating breakfast. The purplette lazily waves back at his senior. "Good morning Muro-chin~."
"Good morning Himuro-san." Akashi greeted after sipping his Earl Gray tea.
"Good morning Atsushi, Akashi-kun." The oldest of the three greeted back.
As they ate, Murasakibara pops the important question.
"Aka-chin, when are we going to see Kuro-chin?" He asks after he had swallowed a piece of toast.
Akashi placed his teacup down as he whips his phone out. "I've already planned it out Atsushi, the others will be here soon as I've texted them."
"Through the group WhatsApp?" The Miracles share a group chat together so Murasakibara worries if Tetsuya might see it.
"Of course not. I messaged them individually. We'll settle this once and for all."
"But I feel bad." Himuro suddenly spoke up, the two younger ones turning to his direction.
"We could've jeopardize Kuroko-kun's career and maybe possibly his life by discovering the identity of KURO-KUN."
Akashi nodded in agreement. "And Tetsuya is the one who will pay the price if any of us let this secret out. So in any case, we have to be careful on what we say in public now."
"Yes and with the power of the Internet, information will spread fast, especially if it's hot news."
"Indeed." The redhead placed his chopsticks down as he had finished his rice.
"So, what are you five planning?"
"Hmm/Hmm~?" Both Miracles looked at Himuro.
"About the 'talk' with Kuroko-kun? How are you going to confront him about this matter plus the issues of your past that was brought up…"
Checking his phone one more time, Akashi's face warped into the definition of mischievousness. "Oh, I have something in mind."
Himuro shivered at the tone of the Rakuzan captain. "Is…that…so…" He sipped his coffee with a worried look.
~~000~~~
In the Kuroko household, Kazuya had just finished his morning Taekwondo practice by half past nine when his phone rang, playing out One Ok Rock's 'Mighty Long Fall'.
"Aree? Who could that be?" And it was from an unknown number as well.
"Hello?"
"Hello to you too Kazuya-san." The silky, low yet somewhat nasal voice rang in his ears.
"Ehh, you! How'd you get my number?"
"I have my ways Kazuya-san but that isn't important now. May I ask for your help? It's about Tetsuya."
"I know everything now as Tet-chan told me. And if you wanna hurt him again, you can forg-"
"Please Kazuya-san. We wish to amend for our mistakes to him."
Kazuya hesitated for a moment but he did sound convincing enough. "I'm all ears if you want to help him. What can I do?" Now he has to make a few calls of his own…
Upstairs, a certain sky-blue haired boy was sleeping soundly in his warm bed, bundled under the many layers of blankets like a cocoon until…
"RISE AND SHINE TET-CHAN!" Piercing rays of sunlight shone in the once dim room as the older Kuroko sibling pulled the curtains apart.
"Hmmm.." The lump in the sheets groaned heavily.
Kazuya tied the light blue curtains together to let the sunshine beat down in the light blue coloured room. "Wake up sleepyhead, it's already ten!"
"…five more minutes…" The bundle sleepily said, making the older Kuroko sigh at his baby brother's antics.
"Nope~"
"…one more minute…"
Pouting lightly, the azurette scratched the back of his head until the best idea popped into his brain. He hasn't done this to Tetsuya in years and he's pretty sure the bluenette will definitely take revenge on him some other day but if this is the only way.
Let's do it!
Pulling the sheets and blankets off the boy, Kazuya smiles at his brother's sleeping form. Curled up in a foetal position, he still looked adorable to him as always. Snapping a quick picture before sending it to the rest of his Riders, he begins his 'assault'.
Tetsuya instantly jolted from his slumberland when he felt warm hands tickling his sides and his most sensitive spot, his neck. "Ahhh! Wait! PLEASE! ONII-SAN!" He laughs helplessly, trying to push his brother away. "P-please I'm awake! Please stop!"
Laughing, Kazuya finally stops his tickle attack as he hovered over his little brother from the edge of the bed. "Good morning sleepyhead." He kisses the boy's forehead lightly.
Pouting as Kazuya got off him, Tetsuya pulled himself off the bed with his cheeks flushed red and tears on the corner of his eyes. "That was completely unfair…" He muttered to his older brother.
"Well~ you were being stubborn as always." The elder sibling countered back his argument. "Breakfast is ready by the way."
"Alright, I'll be down in a bit." As Tetsuya got off the bed, Kazuya had to use all his willpower in order to prevent himself from bursting his gut. As usual, the younger boy's bed hair is amazing.
Crazy, light blue spikes pointed in every direction with some hanging up like a pair of tufty cat ears. Can hair even do that?!
"Pfft, go head the showers first Tet-chan then I'll help you with your hair." The boy nodding in understanding.
With their parents on business trips and their grandmother still at a relative's house, the two brothers have the whole house, actually more like mansion with lots of traditional Japanese decorations and designs, to themselves during this weekend. Luckily, Kazuya is a good cook due to the fact he has been abroad for four years and he learnt independency from there. Tetsuya being the tidy that he is, so he's pretty good in household chores. Which is why their parents don't need a reason to worry about their boys.
After showering, Kazuya helped Tetsuya tame his wild mane to his normal state then the two headed for the dining table.
Kazuya sipped his milk coffee as he kept his gaze at his brother as the younger one chewed on a piece of wholegrain bread as recommended by Sora. "Ne Tet-chan…"
Tetsuya titled his head in question, with the chopsticks in his mouth, also a gesture for his brother to continue. But unbeknownst to him, the poor young adult was practically cooing at him for his natural cuteness in his mind. "Wanna watch a movie tonight with the guys?"
"At the cinemas? Or here at home?"
"Of course we go to the cinemas! It's much more fun that way. I've called the other Riders and they're all free tonight. Besides, today is the cinematic release of a new supernatural horror film by James Wan. If I'm not mistaken, the title of the movie is 'Demonic' I think…"
Tetsuya's eyes twinkled at the mention of horror films as Kazuya discreetly smirks. He knows all too well of his baby brother's fascination with the supernatural.
"OK." Was his immediate answer.
"Oh but before that, I need to stop by a shop near a certain street. Tet-chan, do you know this address?" Kazuya handed the sky-bluenette a piece of paper.
Tetsuya blinked a few times before the realization dawned on him. "That's near Teikou Middle School…"
"Eh? Really?"
The boy nodded. "I remember there are shop lots near the streets where Teikou is just a few blocks away. What business do you have there Onii-san?"
"An old friend of mine just found out I've returned from the States so wants to meet up for a bit. I told him that I need to look after my brother but he still insisted. I'll just have a little chat with him before we met up the rest of Riders for the movies. Is that alright with you Tet-chan?"
Tetsuya shook his head. "No I do not mind. I understand Onii-san."
"Alright, we'll hop on my Yamaha then." When his back was turned to his little brother, he let out a worried frown but not allowing his brother to see it.
'I'm sorry I have to lie to you, Tet-chan.'
A/N: Next chapter will be the confrontation between Kuroko Tetsuya and the GoM!
WAIT! Before you go, I wanna apologise if the first few chapters seemed really crappy and super predictable. It was my first time writing a fanfic online and back then, I was really driven more by my own fantasies than actually thought of putting an actual plot in it. I was also writing the characters based on what other fanfics had written, instead of really looking up on the real personalities of the characters themselves.
If you guys want, I'll tone the BL down if you guys want me to.
I know that anything can happen in fanfiction but sometimes, I like to keep the story close to the original, to get the feeling!
And again, I hope you guys can continue reading this story of mine and review! It makes me happy and motivated! ;3
See you next chapter!
