Chapter 13: It All Comes Crashing Down

Everyone was settled in the living room that day. It had been three days since Finn and Britney discovered the news. It was awkward for Finn to have keep what he knew about Kurt a secret from their parents. Burt had asked him what was up with Kurt and how had they been enjoying the city.

He had only asked that because Kurt just kept emailing and texting him instead of calling him. If Kurt called him, Burt would sense something was off. So it was best that 'Kurt' emailed and texted him instead.

Finn and Britney did decide that they would do some research too. The more help they could provide the better.

"Okay, so all I keep coming up with is something called an incubus and succubus. What the hell are they?" Finn asked. Rachel was perched on the arm of the chair with her tablet in hand.

"Succubus is a demon in female form, said to have sexual intercourse with men in their sleep." She said casually. "And an incubus is…"

"An imaginary demon or evil spirit supposed to descend upon sleeping persons, especially one fabled to have sexual intercourse with women during their sleep." Blaine said as he walked into the living room. "They can also impregnate them. I feel like such a monster."

He still looked a mess. The same circles were still under his eyes. His eyes were no longer a golden brown color, but more of a black color.

"Dude, you look terrible." Finn said. Blaine rolled his eyes as he sat down.

"Gee thanks." He muttered sarcastically. Finn just smiled.

"You're welcome. Anyway, we've been researching on what's wrong with Kurt, so far nothing. We keep running in to the words succubus and incubus. This totally makes no sense, since you're not either of them."

"You're right. So what are we missing?" Blaine asked.

"Maybe Kurt's pregnant." Britney piped up. All eyes were immediately on her. "What? I mean from the stuff you guys have said, it sounds like he's carrying a baby."

"But that's impossible. Human/vampire pregnancies don't exist, do they?" Blaine turned towards his parents.

"Actually they do. In certain parts of the world, it can happen. The reason you've never heard of them is because they are well hidden. Can you imagine the Guardians getting a hold of that kind of information?" Will said. Santana put her laptop down on the table and plugged it into the projector.

"Look, they're called Dhampirs. No one knows the original origins of them. Apparently a vampire had fallen in love with a human and produced their first child. It had been born with traits of both species, but was neither."

"But I don't get it, Kurt's a guy." Finn said.

"Well that doesn't matter. Some guys have the gene that could produce a baby. Their bodies have that special ability to be able to transform to accept the process of pregnancy." Cooper replied.

"So if Kurt really is pregnant, what do we do?" Blaine asked. No one answered the question. It was because no one really knew the answer.

"He's going to die isn't he?" Britney asked.

Across town Eli was draining a human of all their blood. He didn't need it, but he felt that he just wanted to create havoc. He still wasn't sure what he wanted in all this.

Did he want Blaine back or to crush him and Kurt? Hmm, decisions, decisions.

"Okay so when are we gonna get this done?" Jesse asked.

"Not yet, besides I'm sure their little psychic friend has warned them anyway." Eli said.

"Then what the hell is the point in all this? It's not like we can plan a sneak attack." Jesse exclaimed.

"Time, my friend, all in good time. Besides I don't want to plan a sneak attack. When I make my decision, it'll be a split one." Eli said as he smiled to himself.

"I really don't understand you sometimes." Jesse said as he began to walk away.

"No, you really don't." Eli said. He had already had something in motion. He just had to wait until he heard back from that person.

"Okay so we have no idea when the baby will be due." Emma said. She was going over her notes as well.

"Kurt's deteriorating fast. He needs something in his system. Obviously he can't eat human food." Santana said. Cooper's head snapped up. "I mean you would think that he would be able to handle food. But I guess if he's carrying a half human, half vampire child…"

"That's it!" Cooper said as he rushed out of the room. He came back a few moments later with a blood bag. "Let's go."

Everyone gathered around Kurt's bed. He was awake and reading a fashion magazine. He seemed startled when everyone gasped that he was awake.

"What's going on?" He croaked. His voice wasn't at its best as of late. Cooper sat next to him. He checked the IV and held up the blood bag.

"We need you to drink this." He said. Kurt and everyone else looked at Cooper like he was insane.

"You can't be serious Coop." Blaine said in an exhausted breath.

"I am. It took me a while to figure it out. But like Santana said. If he's carrying a half human, half vampire child, then the baby is craving something we need naturally." Cooper responded.

"Wait, wait, wait, you mean the bulge in my stomach is a baby? I-I don't…"

"We'll explain it later. Right now you need to drink this, if you want that baby and yourself to survive." Kurt looked at Blaine, who nodded his head, and he looked back at the bag.

"Can I have it something a little classier?" Kurt asked. That earned him a few laughs from the rest of the people in the room. Blaine flashed out of the room and came back with a wine glass.

"Only the best for the best." He grinned. Kurt observed as Cooper poured the blood into the glass. Kurt couldn't say that he wasn't completely grossed out by this, because he was, but he got a whiff of the contents of the glass and he felt his mouth water.

"Alright, drink it slow." Cooper said handing the glass back to him. Kurt took the glass and took a testing sip.

"Hmm, it's not bad. It's a little too metallic for my tastes." Kurt chuckled. He then took a much larger drink.

"See, you guys hear that?" Cooper asked. Everyone but Finn and Britney nodded. "His pulse is speeding up. If he can continue to drink this he'll be fine. I'm hoping." Blaine let out a breath that he didn't even know he was holding.

"You may just be alright." Blaine said as he nuzzled up to Kurt.

A few weeks after that, Kurt did seem to get stronger. His skin seemed to lighten up a bit, not a lot, but just enough. The rest of the family was able to go back and forth to the hospital to grab blood bags.

Kurt was happy that he was pregnant. He couldn't wait to be a father. He would dream about a beautiful little girl named Rayne. She had long black hair, flawless pale skin, and eyes like Blaine, well when he was human anyway.

She was astounding. She had the voice of an angel. She was a little treasure.

Kurt would tell this to Blaine who would light up as well. Kurt initially thought that Blaine wouldn't want the baby because they weren't sure what it would be like.

But Kurt felt in his heart that this baby was going to be perfect. He felt connected to it in every way. Little Rayne would even kick in response to different things that were being said.

Everyone was excited for the baby. Finn was gonna teach the baby to play sports. Rachel was gonna give the baby all the Broadway music history she could. Santana was gonna teach it how to be a bad ass. She was gonna teach it how to swear in Spanish.

"I couldn't have had a better group of people to have me help with the baby." Kurt said.

"But what about Burt?" Blaine asked. Truth be told he hadn't thought about that. He had been talking to his father more often now though.

"I'm not sure yet. I mean I want to tell him, but I'm pretty sure that would be against the rules right?" Kurt asked.

It was a lot to consider. But Kurt couldn't dwell on it. The birth date of his and Blaine's child was quickly approaching. They'd already chosen the names.

Rayne for a girl, Dartanian for a boy.

A few days later Finn and Britney were on their way over to the house. They had managed to stop by the store to pick up a teddy bear and some balloons.

"I can't believe Kurt's having a baby. This is so exciting. Lord Tumbington was thrilled." Britney as she held the bear. Finn just smiled at her.

"I can imagine. I can't believe I'm gonna be an uncle. I'll be the best uncle there is."

"Who do you think it's going to look like?" Britney asked. Finn wasn't sure. He could see the baby looking like both of the parents. Maybe it would have Blaine's skin tone, Kurt's eyes, Blaine's black hair, but Kurt's straightness to it.

While Finn was thinking of the random possibilities, he didn't hear Britney yell.

"Finn, look out!"

Back at the house the phone was ringing like mad. Santana was quick to pick it up.

"Hello?" She asked. Everyone else was in the living room with Kurt. They felt that he was strong enough to come downstairs.

"Uh Rachel, can I see you fort a moment?" Santana asked. If Kurt didn't know any better, he could've sworn that Santana looked freaked out about something.

"Cooper we need you too, Will, Emma you as well." Once everyone was gone except for Blaine and Kurt, Kurt asked.

"What's going on?" Blaine just shrugged his shoulders. He did try to listen in on the conversation though.

"Langston just called. Some of us need to get to Finn and Britney. There's going to be a car accident." Santana whispered.

"What? No! I bet that Eli has something to do with this." Rachel said.

"That's just it, Langston said that he didn't. He's been watching all of them. None of our exes set that up. We need to go now." Santana said.

"Will and I will come with you, Cooper you stay here with Kurt and Blaine." Emma said.

Everyone then came back into the room. They knew Blaine and been listening. Emma turned her back as if to talk to Will.

"Don't say anything to Kurt. This might send him into an early labor." Then she turned back around. Blaine sent her an understanding nod.

"We're going out for a minute. We'll be back soon." Emma said as she grabbed her coat.

As soon as everyone was gone, Blaine sat next to Kurt. Kurt gave him a look that could kill. Blaine couldn't tell Kurt what was going on. He was still trying to wrap his mind around his himself.

"Okay, I know you what's going on. It's okay if you tell me." Kurt said. Blaine couldn't look him in the eye. He didn't want Kurt to get hurt, and he's sure that if Finn and Britney don't survive that accident, Kurt may just go into labor and kill himself and the baby.

"Kurt, sweetheart, nothing is wrong. They just had to go and check on something. It's not a big deal." Blaine tried to reason.

"Blaine I know you're lying. What's going on, really?" Kurt asked sternly. Blaine didn't know why but he felt somewhat compelled to tell Kurt the truth.

"There's been an accident. Finn and Britney may not make it." Blaine said before he could stop himself.

"Blaine no!" Cooper shouted. Kurt stood up on his own, but because he stood up too fast he leaned back at an odd angle causing something to snap.

"Oh!" was all he could say before everything went black.

A/N: Yep it's almost that time. The big birth scene. Sorry that I had to put Finn and Britney through that, but it was necessary for the plotline. But don't worry; some surprises will be coming up soon. Did you notice a hint of Kurt's power? I will also announce the actors who won the parts in the next chapter as well. For those who re-read the first chapter I added some new things. But you'll see that in the next chapter.
