Here we are. The final chapter of this story. It's not much, just closing everything up. Even so, I hope you will enjoy that ending bit!
Eggman slowly opened his eyes after he was knocked out a few hours ago. Once his sight was clear, he noticed he was facing a ceiling which looked familiar to him. Sounds of keyboard keys being pressed on could have been heard, as well as the sound of two voices talking to each other.
When Eggman tried to move, he found out he was tied up to a board and that behind him, was the large circle portal which he used in order to get back to the in-between zone. After he lifted his head, he saw Tails and Hiro quickly tapping buttons on the control panel with Sonic, Knuckles and the rest of Big Hero 6 watching them work.
"Is everything set?" Hiro asked the fox.
"Yes. We can send him back to our universe now." Tails replied before pulling down a lever. Once that was done, the board Eggman was tied to, along-side his two robot side-kicks, was slowly sent through the portal.
"I'll be back, Sonic! You will hear from me soon enough!" The doctor managed to scream before he disappeared inside the portal; back to his home universe.
"So," Wasabi asked Knuckles after Eggman was sent back. "Are you guys going to go home as well now?"
"Not yet…" Sonic was the one to deliver the answer before he turned to Go-Go. "Are we still on for that race you wanted?" He asked her, reffering to a conversation they both had the same night both groups teamed up.
Go-Go couldn't help but smile at the fact Sonic remembered her challenge. The smile, however, quickly changed into a confident smirk. "You bet we are still on for that! Is tomorrow before the ceremony good enough?" She asked.
"When it comes to running, anytime is a good time for me." He replied, sharing the enthusiasm.
The next day quickly came around and the two speed-demons were getting ready for their race. Sonic seemed pretty confident in himself while Go-Go seemed to be a bit more serious about this race.
Baymax was the one to tell them the rules for the race. "No Fighting. No attacking. The first one to reach the new "Tadashi Hamada Building" is the winner." The robot told them before signaling the two to start the race.
Both took off with an impressive starting speed and started running in a straight line. When a turn came up in front of them, Sonic used his Spin-Dash in order to turn faster while Go-Go made a pretty hard drift, which resulted in a mark on the road.
Sonic seemed to have a bit of an advantage over Go-Go; but the girl hadn't given up yet as she managed to catch up to him.
"You have gotten faster." Sonic complemented her once he saw her running along-side him.
"Complement me when I'll beat you." She replied, not even looking at him.
"Okay… Yeesh. Excuse me for saying a good word."
Soon, both competitors took different routes. Sonic started running on top of buildings and jumping from roof to roof while Go-Go used the wheels attached to her legs as a make-shift sliding-board, allowing her to slide down a down-ward spiral. With the "Tadashi Hamada Building" in plain sight for the two of them. Sonic, seeing the target in front of him, jumped off of the rooftops and returned to running side by side with Go-Go, and they quickly moved towards the finish line. Both ran at the fastest speed they could have reached, giving it their all.
Eventually, after both crossed the finish line, the result didn't really give any hint on who won...
Because the race was tied.
Both have crossed the finish line at the exact same time, much to Go-Go's disappointment. Sonic, seeing her in a bad mood, came up to her in order to try and cheer her up. "Hey, no one has ever tied me in a race before." He told her. "Usually, I win by about a second or two. To tell you the truth? You are the closest anyone has ever come to beating me in a race."
Go-Go's mood seemed to lift up a bit by the hedgehog's words. She could probably take pride in that title of being the closest one to beat Sonic the Hedgehog in a race. Sonic presented her his fist for a fist-bump, and she returned it to her competition.
After the congratulations were done, the opening of the "Tadashi Hamada Building" took place. The same building which held the showcase hall where Hiro's big brother has lost his life, was now being re-opened in respect of what he did, including the creation of Baymax and in some sense, Big Hero 6. At Hiro's request, the remains of Egg-Max, or more specifically old Baymax's, decorated the entrance to the building. The familliar head of the health-care robot being positioned on top of it.
The event went for quite some time but halfway through it, Sonic felt like it was time for him and his friends to head back to their universe. The trio called Big Hero 6 out of the building for a few seconds so that they could have a proper good-bye.
Knuckles was exchanging few last words with Wasabi and Fred, Sonic gave Go-Go some tips regarding speed and using her Spin-Dash ability, and Tails was chatting a bit with Hiro and Honey while also giving them a Miles Electric unit. The Miles Electric is one of Tails's many inventions which is used as a multi-purpose device, one of them being communicating with friends from other universes. The trio hadn't forgotten Baymax, and Sonic was surprised when the robot offered to do a fist-bump with them. Sonic accepted the offer, and was caught off-guard when after their fists collided, Baymax let out a "Bla-la-la-la" which caused everyone to giggle at it; mostly because of Sonic's reaction.
The good-byes were officially over once the two leaders, Sonic and Hiro, shook hands.
"It was fun fighting alongside you." Hiro was the first one to speak.
"Same." Sonic replied before addressing the entire team. "Take care of yourselves! We will definitely meet again someday."
All the teams exchanged after that declaration, was a simple nod. After that, Sonic and his friends ran away to the portal which will bring them home while the Super-Heroes returned to the party.
THE END
Of course I needed to end this with a race between Sonic and Go-Go. It was just needed.
It's done. There is now a complete "Sonic the Hedgehog" and "Big Hero 6" crossover on the site. I sure hope more will pop up in the future, I'll be glad to read those.
But as for this story, I hope those who read it enjoyed it. Thanks to everyone who read, reviewed, followed, favorited and stuck through. You guys rock!
With all that said; I'll catch you all later!
