~little rant~ If i ever write something else. It'll either be a one-shot or I'll write the whole thing before posting. I love you all for sticking by me on my first story. I was so nervous in the beginning. I'm sorry the chapters are taking so long. I don't have all the chapter written, not even drafts. I don't have a beta yet and gonna keep it that way, while looking for one too. I want to see if I can improve on my own first.
3POV
"North, but I don't know how far." A male vampire says with his southern drawl.
"North America? Canada? " The female vampire offers her opinion. In the same southern accent.
"Yes, to both. Maybe close to the border. Don't know which side." He drops their kill, after clawing its throat with his finger, leaving it for the coyotes.
"Do you need backup?" She eagerly asks.
"Maybe, Sweetheart." He chuckles. "Hm. Looks like we'll know more soon." He grins then he answers his cell phone.
"I got a mission for you. I want it done before anythin' else. Don't be late for this." Yet another southern voice speaks.
"Arn't I always on time?" The male answers with confidence that only he can portray. He turns and heads north with his waist-length pale-blond haired female vampire right next to him. Giggling at his question.
"No." The caller answers in a firm voice.
"Ok, a few times, but I had perfectly good reasons." The male replies in his defense. His companion is now trying to hold in her small laughter. " So, what's the mission? I've a need to head north. Can't the mission wait a little longer?"
The female glances at her male with a sober expression. She notices his nervous habit of running his fingers through his silver blond strands. Only in her presence does he allow himself do that. He would never give away such a thing to an enemy. She turns forward and continues to listen. She can practically hear the eyebrow raise on the other end of the call.
"Because it's you, I'm not going to assume you're questionin' my orders. How far north exactly do you need to go?"
The running vampires look at each other with concern to how much interest he is showing to this. That second sentence should be his orders. They speed up. The silver blonds' needs and the orders must be connected.
"Near the Canadian border. Southern U.S. and northern Canada won't do." The male immediately reports. "We are on our way to check the territory in Oregon first then go east."
"Not Oregon. Washington." The cold reply comes through the phones speaker.
As soon as the place was said the vampire, with the need to go north, knew exactly where. He has never been there. Neither has his mate, that's running right along side him. Still, he does not know why.
" I await your orders. I do not know why or what I must do in Forks. We will get there as soon as possible." He grabs his mates' hand and runs faster.
"Orders are as follows: Go to the territory and feed there. From Portland go to Forks. Secure the town. No vampire is to enter without my permission. Go to Seattle and shut down whoever is making so much noise. When you're done report back. The residents are not food. I doubt the Cullen coven will show. If they do, let me know immediately. Do not harm them, I have plans for them." With orders given the male leans against the tree he stands upon. Looking at the city in the distance, his next destination, he makes yet another decision.
"Rodger, Sir." The silver blond-haired male replies.
"I'm visiting the Romanian coven once I'm done with Italy. It'll be a few extra days than originally planned 'till I get back."
Hearing the ease in the speaker's voice, the running vampires brighten up as well without losing speed.
"Make sure to bring me back a souvenir." The male runner says happily as is his nature. "It's the least you could do after all the work I've done." He catches his female roll her eyes in amusement.
"I'm letting you play with shifters that should be reward enough. I know how much you've wanted to meet them." The tree standing vampire says. "Besides I don't know where you put them all." He continues bewildered. The silver blond's only reply is his laughter.
"Peter."
"Yes Major?"
"Do not be late."
"Rodger Sir."
"Oh, and don't kill any of the shifters." The Major puts in as an after thought before hanging up.
"Well Darlin'." Peter looks to his mate. " Looks like things finally get interesting." He grins. She lets out a laugh knowing how excited her mate is to see the wolf shifters.
"Just remember Shug' we can't kill any of'em." She smles.
"I know Char but there is so much room for possibilities!" She grins at his contagious joy. They run at full speed to Portland.
At this time the Major is stepping in to the city limits of Volterra, not concerned in the least with problems in Washington.
Can you let me know if it's too confusing? I might just change it to names sooner in to the chapter if it is. Thank You :)
