I Miss You (part 13)
Heavy pants filled the room, their limbs entwined. Their forceful weight on the bed making it creak under the pressure, her moans pierced his ear until he could hear nothing else. The rumbling coming from his throat, made her shiver in anticipation. Sweet kisses, traded equally between each other, lips running along both their bodies. Forehead, cheek, neck, hand, stomach, not an inch left behind. Rough kisses, so vigorous they bruised, left them breathless and wanting more. The intimacy taking both of them by surprise, the act itself was beyond belief, they had been here before, done this once in the past. But now it felt like more, it tasted sweeter, stronger. Just an exchange of looks made her euphoric, making them unable to look away from each other's eyes. Their gaze was beckoning, gripping, so much so they were drowning in the deep blue sea, trying to gasp for air, but incapable of doing so. Their foreheads touched, an act so familiar, and loving, so simple yet needed. They smiled, true smiles, coming from true happiness at the plain fact that they were both there, in each other's arms. Unable to help himself he started mumbling, "Caroline, I lov-"
Hearing a knock at the door, Caroline woke up startled. It seemed like she fell asleep while taking her warm bath, now the water was freezing cold, yuck. Steering her thoughts away from the very real like dream, at least until she had some time to properly think about it, she got up covering herself up with a towel to open the door. Before doing it she thought it would be best to ask who it was, after all she wasn't properly dressed, "Who is it?"
"Who else could it be, Caroline?" his accented voice sounded slightly slurred which made her roll her eyes.
"Enzo, go away." she stated annoyed.
"Oh come on goldilocks, I have booze. Good booze." he stopped for a moment, fakely pouting, and even though she couldn't see him, she just knew how his face looked.
Caroline sighed and gave up, "Fine, just wait a second."
Quickly she threw on some random clothes and opened the door, to see his infuriating smirk, jerk. She stepped out of the way and gestured for him to come in.
He nodded his head as thanks and sat down at her bed, patting down at his right side so she'd sit next to him. When she did, he finally gave her the bottle of the supposedly good booze and asked "So, yesterday, what happened?"
Caroline scoffed, crossing her arms in an attempt to calm herself, like he couldn't hear her heartbeat. "I told you already. Nothing happened. So drop it." she slightly whined, taking a huge swig from the bottle.
"Oh come on, don't be such a liar. What's the expression…? Liar liar pants on fire…? Be careful gorgeous, or someone might have to cool you down."
"Don't worry, just the sight of your mug cools me down." Caroline retorted victouriously.
Enzo grinned from ear to ear, as if he had the perfect comeback, and sadly for her, he did, "Oh does that mean you were in heat? Hmm, did Klaus have something to do with that, perhaps?"
"Ugh, what do you want Enzo."
"To talk." he replied, shrugging effortlessly, "I really don't understand what your aversion to him is. Or maybe that's the problem, the fact that you don't actually loathe him, or detest him even after all he's done. Its ok, Caroline. Your feelings are your own, you don't have to explain them, or even understand them, but not acting on them might make you suffer more. One day it just might be too late."
The heaviness of his words seeped deep into her soul, shaking her very core. She was young, she had her whole life ahead of her, she shouldn't be thinking about things like this.
Too late? Klaus had told her he'd wait for her, however long it took. But feelings change, there is nothing more truthful than that, nothing is unchanging. Klaus himself was proof of that, even though he remained the same throughout the centuries, in some way or another he changed, his feelings turned into something different. Caroline wasn't sure of anything, she was just confused, she didn't even know what she wanted from life, how could she know what she wanted from him? It was then that she reached a conclusion; she would not make any rash decisions. Her life would not be something she shaped around his, whatever she felt was best for her, was what she would do. 'Screw him and his cute dimples, and murderous tendencies. Why is this so hard? No matter, I come first. Always.'
Breaking her out of her thoughts Enzo continued his rant "Or, you could just do the smart thing."
Expectantly, but carefully, Caroline questions "And that is…?"
"Me, I'm the smart thing." Enzo answered smiling, as if he had just said the most intelligent thing in the world. Obviously he was an idiot, but one that actually made her laugh.
Still laughing she managed to respond "Sure you are, I guess I prefer dumber things to do then."
Interrupting them, a few fierce knocks resounded through the small room. Caroline glanced at Enzo, as if he knew who it was, which he didn't and he explained as much as he shook his head no. Getting up to open the door, again (what was up with the interruptions today?), she just threw it open, taken aback by who was there.
"Klaus." she whispered stunned and confused.
Enzo sensing the tension, knew that being there right then, was probably the most stupid thing he could do so he got up to leave. Before doing so, he winked at Caroline and thanked Klaus once more, for what he had done for him. If he had any doubts that Klaus might hurt Caroline, he'd never leave, but alas, he was sure he'd never do such a thing. And they obviously needed to talk, not like Enzo was going to eavesdrop from his room, no sir, he did many despicable things but not that. (He was totally going to eavesdrop.)

Klaus had made one of his vampires, drive him to where Caroline was staying at. Unknowingly he was lulled into sleep with the sway of the car. Being woken up by his driver, Klaus almost struck him down where he sat. His dream was intense and it felt way too real, just like the other one. Had she perhaps shared it? And what the bloody hell was he about to tell her? He was obviously delirious, he was slightly thankful for being woken when he was. Still he was there, outside of the motel, trying to hear Caroline. It was not very pleasant when he heard the other man's aggravating voice. But eventually it became a very interesting conversation, he knew what he was doing was rude, but he didn't care much about it. When he dropped that very corny, sexual, joke he couldn't take it anymore and vamped to her room door, knocking fiercely. In a way Enzo had helped him, he supposed, so he wouldn't kill him for the dirty innuendos, yet.
As the door opened, Klaus couldn't look away from her face, the way her features became slightly brighter at his sight but then, after a few seconds, just turned into confusion and sadness. It pained him to see her like that, but when he heard his name falling out of her sorrowful lips, his heart constricted. There was some hope to her tone, but it was completely buried underneath the pain and shock she was suffering. Honestly, that she was hurting at all was something good for him. After all, you only hurt if you care, and if she was hurting, it meant she cared about him-them. Still, he didn't like watching her suffer, and what if he wasn't the reason? Bloody hell, he was the most powerful creature on earth and his thought process completely halted in her presence. He came for a reason, and he won't leave before everything is solved.
After awkwardly standing by the door for what seemed like months, Caroline quietly asked "Would you like to come in?"
Klaus pursing his lips nodded and slowly entered the motel room, trying to think about what he was going to say, how he was going to say it. She gestured for him to sit down but he couldn't, so he paced around, to keep his blood pumping and his brain running. Caroline on the other hand sat on the bed, staring at the man in front of her curiously while fiddling with her hands.
Suddenly Klaus sat down beside her, knowing what he had to say he grabbed both of her hands, after all he needed her full attention. Gazing into her eyes, making her unable to move or breathe, his silky voice spoke up for the first time since getting there "Caroline, there's something I have to tell you."

Kol laughed mischievously, almost falling out of his chair in the process, "That's why you're here? This is the reason Klaus dragged you here? This is bloody brilliant."
Bonnie was completely shocked by his reaction; this was not how she expected him to react, at all. He laughed as if he knew something no one else did, which was grating on her nerves. So she asked exasperated, "What? Why are you laughing?"
"Don't worry your pretty head, little witch. It's been solved." he answered, his laughter dying down.
"Kol, what did you do?"
"What makes you think I did anything? You paint me to be the most awful creature on earth, I am truly hurt." Kol retorted childishly, as if he was just a kid trying to hide what he did wrong from his mother's eyes.
"Kol…"
He sighed theatrically, a smirk dancing on his lips, "I give up, you know me too well darling. I may have had a hand on this whole ordeal."
"You made the dreams happen?" Bonnie questioned surprised.
"Well, me and some friends, who are witches by the way. I might have been drunk and I might have felt like screwing with my grumpy older brother. It worked quite well, if I do say so myself."
"Was that really it?" she asked ever so softly, but he still heard her.
Genuinely smiling at her, he responded truthfully, "I was tired of seeing him so down all the time, therefore I solved it. I wasn't expecting them both to be so stubborn though, but I had a plan B."
"Enzo?"
"Yes, I was the one who gave him the hint that brought him here. Me running into them was also no accident." seeing the newfound respect on her face he groaned unsatisfied and added "He was annoying me too much, I had to do it, my life was suffering because of his idiocy."
Bonnie rolled her eyes; he really wasn't capable of having a heart to heart, without trying to make himself sound like a total douche. She sighed, "So it's done? No more dreams?"
Kol kept himself quiet, playing with a pen that was on the table, it was a truly fascinating object by the look on his face. Forcefully taking the pen away she muttered, "Kol?"
"They'll stop, don't worry."
"What do you mean?"
"Only when their true feelings are known will they stop. So, Bonnie, keep out of it, let them fend for themselves." he tried to send her a vicious glare but it fell short which made her snort in return, idiot.
"You're right, I won't meddle in their business." she stated brightly. Her mood shifted and she didn't understand why, she just felt a bit sad of what was to come, glancing at him she whispered "I guess I should go back to Mystic Falls, there's nothing holding me here."
Kol did not like what she said, at all, how boring would it be if she left? Nope, it was not going to happen, not that easily, "Nonsense, have you even seen New Orleans? You can't leave without sightseeing, and not without meeting some powerful witches. You could learn a lot little witch."
Bonnie stared at him, thinking deeply of what he just said. He was correct, she came all the way here she should at least get something out of it…right?
So looking intently into his eyes, while a smile tugged on her lips she said "Sure. I'll need someone to show me around…"
"It would be my pleasure." Kol answered, grabbing her hand and kissing it lightly while grinning. He was pleased with this outcome, the fun days were definitely coming their way.
Bonnie had no idea why she had agreed to this madness, but who cares? She deserves some fun, to put herself first once in her life. This would be good for her, she hoped.
A/N: Yes I'm awful at smut so I avoid it on purpose, what I wrote doesn't make this story M rated..right? lol I doubt it! Sorry for ending the kc part on a cliffhanger, it was mostly because Klaus knew what he was going to say but I didn't xD so I'll leave it for the next and possibly final chapter! Thanks to everyone that favorited/followed and most importantly reviewed, it means the world to me! Love you all :)
