And I'm back. Sorry for having to change my update days from now on but football games are very annoying. Either way, here is the next chapter. And just to clear things up, I upload every other week.

Chapter 12: The Chase

Washington was having the time of his life. Here he was with a beautiful woman sitting in a somewhat romantic area talking about past missions. He had never felt so alive before. Wash felt as though nothing could bring him down from the cloud he was currently lying on. Most importantly though, Agent New Hampshire couldn't do jack shit about it.

"Shit shit shit." Cross muttered to himself as he barreled down the hall. He flew past Marines and other agents, all of them looking quizzically at him. "I hope I'm not too late." He whispered to himself.

Washington was just about to answer Tex's question about his favorite type of food when he felt the cold barrel of a M6G press against his neck. He gulped and fell silent. Tex's eyes widened when she saw who was holding the gun.

"Agent Hampshire, what are you-?" Tex asked astonished. Wash's heart stopped as soon as he heard the name.

"Sorry love." Hampshire said coolly. Suddenly, he pulled out a second pistol and fired a bolt of electricity at her effectively knocking her out. Wash made a strangled sound as she fell like a sack of potatoes. The marine that had been their waiter peeked from around the corner.

"Is everything alright in h-?" Agent New Hampshire shot him in the chest before he could finish. Wash watched in horror as the marine fell to the ground. Seconds later, a large pool of blood formed underneath his crumpled body.

"Now it's your turn." Hampshire said nonchalantly bringing the attention back to himself. "Sorry it had to be this way." He finished with no sympathy. Suddenly, there was another large bang and Washington felt the pistol muzzle leave his neck. He spun around to see Hampshire holding his now bleeding hand and off to the corner Agent Cross pointing a smoking pistol. In less than a second, New Hampshire turned around and had bolted from the room, Agent Cross in close pursuit. He breathed out and slouched. He looked over at the marine. I should probably get help…

Agent Cross pulled the trigger of his gun and sent a round racing towards New Hampshire. It hit him in the shoulder but his pace only quickened. They continued down the hallway, knocking down marines, agents, and random shit like a man dressed as a duck. Hampshire took a sharp turn to the right and Cross followed his lead. They were in the mess hall and there was very limited room.

"Fuck it." Cross murmured as he ran forward and vaulted over a table. The mess hall fell silent as he landed and rolled. He jumped again but instead did a flip before landing. These quick maneuvers allowed Agent Cross to catch up with New Hampshire. Cross was just about to tackle him when Hampshire pulled out a grenade and threw it towards Cross. It bounced off Cross's chest plate and landed in-between his feet. The grenade exploded shaking the corridor. Hampshire turned around momentarily. He gave an evil grin when he saw nobody there. He slowed to a jog as he neared the hanger. All he had to do was get on a pelican and leave the ship. Then, he would finally be safe. As he neared a pelican, he heard the whirr of a motor. He looked to his left. There, standing about 20 feet away was Agent Cross, a Gatling cannon in his hands.

"Say hello to my little friend!" Cross shouted as he pulled the trigger. Hampshire dived into an open Pelican and ran for the pilots seat as a spray of bullets pinged all around him. He made it to the cockpit, but was shot multiple times in the leg. He started the ships engine and exited the flight deck disappearing into space.

Cross stopped the machine gun and headed back to where he left Cross and Texas. When he got there, he saw a group of medics carrying away the shot marine and Texas. Wash was standing there quietly. He nodded to Cross and then followed the medics towards the med bay. Cross sighed and headed towards his room. It had been a very long day and he needed sometime to think…
