Ohayo! Well for me anyway. Sorry that it took me this long to write I was very busy with a lot of stuff. Anyway this chapter will have a big emotional scene in here and an explanation on who the sadistic weirdo is. Which I'm sure will dispel quite the confusion.

Recap: "I won't miss your heart this time, goodbye Kurama I always loved you even if you couldn't save me." With that the fake drove the arrow into Kurama; he coughed out blood before sliding to the ground unable to move, his last words, "Kagome I'm sorry."

Chapter 13

Deception

Kagome felt her heart break as she lost all strength in her good leg and fell to the floor in agony. Tears swelled in her eyes as his name fell on her lips. "Kurama, no this isn't fair, Suichi, you can't die, Suichi this can't be real." Kagome's tears fell from her eyes like a dam that finally gave way to the pressure Kagome screamed his name. "SUICHI!"

Flashback

"So why Kurama, I mean is it because you don't like the name Suichi?" Kurama looked at the girl in his arms and smiled, "I wouldn't say that, I think that it is just a better name for me is all, or maybe it's because I want to preserve that name for the people I'm closest to." Kagome looked at Kurama and tilted her head to the sided. Kagome looked at him studying his face and his eyes, "Kurama why do you-" Kurama looked at Kagome and said, "What is it Kagome?" Kagome shook her head. "Its nothing forget I said anything."

'Why do you look so sad? Even now you seem like you're battling something inside' Kagome took a strawberry from the bowl and took a bite. "So is me calling you Suichi off limits then?" She felt vibrations from Kurama's chest signaling that he was laughing "No Kagome you can call me anything you want to." Kagome felt his lips on her head and smiled, "Anything I want? So what if I want to call you red?" Kurama chuckled and then said, "Anything but that, I can't bare it if you were to start calling me that." Kagome smiled and said "Well fine shoot down my creativity then why don't ya." Kurama smiled and wrapped his arms around her small frame pulling her closer to him, "Well if that is all the creativity that you have then we are in trouble aren't we." Kagome gasped acting offended as she tried to reach behind her and hit him. "I will have you know that I am very creative thank you very much!" Kurama smiled and said,

"I hope so because it is not showing in you at all." Kagome pouted and Kurama kissed her head the smile still on his lips. "I think that I am going to call you Suichi because it is the name I could call for when I'm in trouble and know without a doubt that you would be there to save me, to protect me." Kurama closed his eyes and inhaled deeply. "I agree with whatever you decide on." Kagome smiled and slip out of his embrace and stood up. "Ok so that is what I'm going to call you, I like Kurama too though so I am going to call you both." Kurama smiled as he stood up. "Can't make up your mind can you?" Kagome pouted,

"I can too it's just that I've been calling you Kurama all this time that I say it without thinking." Kurama put his hands in his pockets as a smile crept on his face. "I understand it's too much for you then maybe we should move slowly on the nicknames." Kagome stomped her foot on the grass.

"I am not stupid; I can think of a nickname like Kura-kun there I thought of one!"

Kurama smiled, "Oh yes and a very original one at that, Kagome I can do that as well." Kagome turned on her heels as she stomped off in frustration.

"I hate you so much right now Kurama." Kurama smiled as he followed after her,

"No you don't Kagome."

"Yes I do."

"No you don't."

"Yes I do, and this date is over."

"No you don't and it's not until I say it is."

"Leave me alone Kurama."

"No I will not leave you alone Kagome I will follow you forever and ever."

Kagome smiled as she continued to walk home with Kurama following her.

'Forever and ever huh?'

End Flashback

Kagome felt a burning sensation in her broken arm and leg as she stood to her feet the pain slowly receding from her limbs. "Suichi." Kagome spoke his name repeatedly as she started walking slowly towards the door. Kagome walked through blurry vision and pain, the only thing in her mind was the image of her dying lover, hanging on by a thread. "Suichi, I'm going to save you, please hold on."

Yusuke woke up to see no Kurama and no Kagome; he sat up and scratched his head in confusion. "Where the hell did they go?" Keiko laying next to Yusuke heard him and asked him, "What's going on Yusuke?" Yusuke looked at her and shrugged and said, "I guess he took her out or something you know what they usually do." Keiko still confused asked,

"Who are you talking about?" Yusuke rolled his eyes,

"Kurama and Kagome." Sango was next to wake up and noticed Kagome's absence. "Where is Kagome?" Yusuke and Keiko looked at Sango and shrugged.

"Kurama is missing too, but I bet that they just went out for a walk or something." Sango tilted her head and said, "Kagome is injured she shouldn't be out right now."

"I saw them leave about an hour ago." Yusuke, Keiko, and Sango all looked at the voice to see Kuwabara with his head propped up and smiled. "Maybe they want some quality time alone." Yusuke laughed,

"Yeah that is Kurama for you." Keiko raised her hand and brought it down on his head. "Shut up this is no time for jokes Kurama is not like that!"

"Hey would you shut the hell up you stupid human." Keiko turned her head to see the glowing red eyes of Hiei. Yusuke shouted back at Hiei for calling Keiko stupid and Hiei scoffed and turned his head towards the door. Now that everyone was awake due to the screaming match, Kaede made it a point to comment on the liveliness of the group and then stated that she would start breakfast, and to find Kagome and Kurama. Hiei's eyes narrowed before disappearing. "What's wrong with him?" Shippo inquired Botan waved her hand,

"Oh don't worry about him he runs off like that all the time." Inuyasha scoffed,

"I doubt it I think that guy smells it too." Sango looked confused,

"What do you mean Inuyasha?" Inuyasha scoffed and turned his head up in the air. "Duh I mean the blood, the red head to be precise." Yusuke and Kuwabara jumped right up and Kuwabara said, "I sense his spirit energy it's pretty faint though." Yusuke clenched his fist and said, "Well what are we waiting for let's haul ass!" as he ran out of the hut with Kuwabara following closely at his heels. Keiko looked at Botan and Yukina who nodded their heads and stood to follow Kuwabara and Yusuke. Sango stood up worried for Kagome and Kurama and called Kirara as she ran out of the hut causing Miroku to follow her. As Yusuke and the others arrived they saw Hiei kneeling next to Kurama's limp body they saw an arrow in his chest and a pool of blood. Kurama wasn't moving and his energy was fading fast. Yusuke knelt next to Kurama and called out to him, "Kurama! Hey Kurama wake up answer me!" Kurama didn't move and Yusuke went to shake him as Botan covered her mouth and looked away in horror. "Damn it Kurama open your eyes say something! Where is Kagome? What happened!?" Kurama didn't move and Kuwabara pulled Yusuke away from Kurama's body. Hiei said nothing but he observed the arrow in his chest. "As far as that human woman is concerned, she is the one who did this, I can smell her on this arrow." Everyone looked at Hiei in shock. The Inuyasha gang was in shock for two reasons that he said that it was Kagome who stabbed and mortally wounded Kurama and that he talked. Miroku spoke everyone's minds when he asked Hiei, "Why would you say that it was Kagome that did this there is just no way that Kagome would try to kill Kurama, she loved him? They were barely apart a great deal of the time that they were here." Hiei scoffed as he went to pick up Kurama. "I don't care for human emotion nor do I care for your opinion on the human girl that you are so fond of. Humans can never be trusted, as I've clearly tried to state to this fool several times and him not heeding this advice has gotten him nearly killed." Hiei held Kurama as he walked carrying Kurama on his back, mindful of the arrow. "The only thing not to be trusted is you demons! Kagome wouldn't harm anyone." Hiei scoffed as he continued to walk away.

'Tell that to my friend' Hiei thought in anger. Yusuke looked at Yukina and said, "Hey Yukina I don't know if you could go and help Hiei with Kurama could you, I mean your healing magic could do the trick." Yukina nodded her head as Botan and Shizuru followed. Keiko stayed by Yusuke and Kuwabara. "So what do you think happened here Urameshi, I mean Kurama would never be caught off guard like that unless it really was Kagome." Yusuke shoved his hands in his pockets and kicked a stone. "I have no clue, I mean Kurama has always been the careful one and all so I doubt that he is easily surprised." Shippo tired of hearing the accusations towards Kagome spoke up. "Kagome would never do something like that to Kurama, not without a reason." Yusuke glared at the fox demon,

"Oh yeah and what reason would she have for driving an arrow into his chest and then leave him here to die huh? What no answer well guess what kid I don't care what you think as far as I'm concerned she attacked one of my best friends and if he doesn't make it out of this alive then she's my enemy." Yusuke then turned and walked away with Kuwabara and Keiko following behind leaving the Inuyasha gang at the scene frustrated and confused. Sango looked at the sky in frustration 'Kagome where are you?'

Kagome struggled to make her way to the exit it was there that she saw a light and when she followed it out she saw a forest. Kagome used the surrounding woods to support her attempt at escaping. The images of Kurama getting stabbed playing through her mind, the look on his face as he was stabbed by that demon that looked like her. Tears welled up inside as she fought them from coming down as she continued to struggle through the forest. The pain becoming insufferable to the point that she had to stop and rest. Kagome felt so tired she was struggling to keep her eyes open as her breathing started to slow. 'I have to keep moving I can't sit and rest knowing that Suichi is hurt.' Kagome again struggled to her feet only to fall back down due to the sharp pain coursing through her body. 'Come on Kagome you have to fight it get up!' Kagome tried again and using a nearby branch she stood on her one good leg and continued toward the village.

Kagome's captor entered his lair smiling as he looked at the restraints laying on the floor, "It looks like she escaped." His glimmering fangs the only thing visible in the dark room. "Akumi what happened?" The demon now known as Akumi turned to see the one that hired him "Ah Koga how nice of you to drop in." Akumi said with a sinister smile Koga glared at him and said, "Don't speak to me as though we are the best of friends, now tell me what happened." Akumi tilted his head to the side Koga could tell from his fangs and glowing red eyes. "Whatever do you mean Koga?" Koga folded his arms growing impatient with this demon's games. "I mean did you kill him that fox demon that Kagome was so infatuated with!" Akumi only continued to smile as he still had his head tilted, "I did, whether or not he still lives is up to if they can remove the poison that I had on the arrow." Koga raised an eyebrow "An arrow?" Akumi chuckled

"It's my weapon of choice." Koga stared at the demon,

"Why not carve out his heart or tear him to shreds?" Akumi walked closer to Koga and said with a smile as he licked his lips, "I like a more artistic point of view in death and I don't recall you questioning my methods as part of the deal dear Koga." Koga cringed at the way Akumi said his name, "That is fine and Kagome?" Akumi still smiling said, "Alive and unharmed, as promised." Koga nodded his head and handed Akumi his money. Akumi took it gratefully and bowed his head. "It was a pleasure to do business with you Koga." Koga scoffed and turned away, "Hopefully this will be last time I'll ever have to see you ever again." Akumi smiled as he watched Koga run off. He stashed his money and walked toward the restraints. "Well Akumi I'm assuming you've completed your task." Akumi turned to see a man in Bamboo fur and smiled as he bowed, "But of course lord Naraku, as planed the young priestess is headed toward her friends as we speak, and her friends believe that she stabbed the fox demon, there will definitely be a storm." Naraku smiled and said, "Good you have served me well Akumi and you will be well compensated, just tell me one thing." Akumi looked up at Naraku and asked,

"Yes Lord Naraku?"

"Did she suffer?" Akumi smiled,

"I did everything as you asked." Naraku smiled and said,

"Good now onto phase two." Akumi bowed his head

"Yes Lord Naraku."

Ok that is the end of Chapter 13, so… what did you think? Was it good? I think so It gives you a little insight on what was going on and if I confused you in some way I apologize and feel free to ask any questions I will try to answer every question possible. By the way I'll go ahead and tell you now that Akumi is A Bakemono a shape shifting youkai in Japanese folklore its name literally means 'a thing that changes' I thought it was pretty cool so I made him a cross between a Kodema and a Mujina so I might put his back story in the next chapter or I might not we will see. Ok so Please read and Review it and I will try to get the chapter 14 out as soon as possible.
