Chapter 13: Newlyweds

A day started again. Everything seems fine, except from the thick clouds and strong winds. Seeking shelter from the shed, Robin patiently looked at the incoming bus. The bus stopped giving her the cue to fold her umbrella when suddenly someone hit her back and was followed by a thud.

"Ow. . . I'm sorry. I wasn't wearing my glasse- Oh no! My glasses! I can't see them!" said the girl that bumped into Robin. Robin stared at her and saw the girls glasses on the cold cement. She picked it up and handed it t the girl. "It's alright. Here are your glasses."

"Oh, thanks!" the girl wore her glasses and stood up with the help of Robin. She brushed off her uniform and smiled at Robin. "Thank you, miss! By the way, my name i- *hoooonk!*(bus' horn)

"You got a nice name. I'm Robin. I think we should spare the rest of the introductions and talk inside the bus." Robin replied with a smile while she pointed her thumb towards the bus.

Robin and the girl got inside the bus and sat beside each other at the far end. They didn't immediately talk to each other; causing a very awkward atmosphere between then. Robin was fine with not talking and the girl also seemed alright with the silence. Robin tried to break the silence as she noticed the girl was also wearing the same uniform as hers.

"Hey, uhm . . . We go to the same school but I haven't seen you around before."

"Yeah, actually I'm new here. 'Just got transferred."

Robin and the girl were talking continuously but they were still somewhat awkward towards each other. They even exchanged numbers and talked some more, until they've arrived the stop near the school.

Robin and girl walked together to school and through the hallways. Robin also accompanied her on the way to Principal Reyleigh's office. But there was something weird; it was the people that they saw along the way. People were stunned and almost jaw-dropped as they looked at them, or is it really because the two of them? It made Robin wonder why; and as Robin eagerly observed the people, she noticed that they were looking at the girl beside her; making her a bit curious and wonder for the reason.

Later on, they have finally arrived at the office. Robin greeted her aunt, Shakky, and asked for Reyleigh. "Oh, you have a very familiar face. You must be the new student." Shakky said as she looked at the girl standing beside Robin. "I have bad news for you, new student-chan. We have a Personnel's meeting today, and when we have that meeting, students usually have half days and aren't official classes. I'm sorry but I need you to go home today. Tomorrow would be your first day."

"Oh, is that so? It's alright. I understand, thank you by the way." The girl gave her adieu to Robin and Shakky and went out the office. Robin was also about to leave, when Shakky called her out.

"Wait, Nico-chan. I need to ask you a favor."

The students were scattered all over the campus and almost doing nothing. All periods from the first class to fourth class are just for study hall. All personnel were not around and the whole school grounds, just to describe it: chaotic!

Nami together with the boys were all hanging out on the rooftop and ding their own personal businesses. Lucky, Sanji and Usopp set up a tent for them to hang out. Nami was wondering why Robin is still not around when the bell already rang for the second period. When they were texting earlier, Robin said that she was already in school but said no more than that. She would casually look at the door of the rooftop, hoping that Robin would come.

"Robin! Where are you? I can't stand these idiots anymore!"

And as if on cue, the door opened and revealed Robin. She wore not her uniform but a schoolgirl dress and braided hair.

"What the heck? Why aren't you in your uniform? Are you ditching class? Why didn't you told me about this?"

"I was just about to say it to you that's why I came here. My aunt asked me to attend an activity in her daughter's school in her and uncle's place. She just told me this morning. I wanted you to come with me but she said I can only bring a male with me."

"What?! That's so unfair!"

"I'm just gonna say bye."

"Ughhh . . . Whatever, I don't really like preschool activities. Good luck . . . bye" Nami hugged Robin then Robin also said goodbye to her friends.

"So, who will be the guy you are going with?" asked Zoro as his ears perked up earlier after hearing that Robin can only bring a guy with her. "Oh, I still don't know who it is, but my aunt said he's also a student and is already waiting for me in the front gate." Robin said with a smile to Zoro then checked her watch. "I need to go. Bye, guys!" She said as she walked to the door and disappeared. Zoro grunted making Luffy notice him.

"Neh, neh, Zoro. Are you angry?" Luffy asked as he sat near the lying Zoro.

"What the hell are you talking about?" Zoro replied and looked intently at him.

"Nothing. I mean, you just looked really pissed. Do you wanna play with us?" Luffy said in a goofy tone as he pointed at Usopp and Chopper. Zoro looked up and thought about it. Then after a few seconds . . .

"Yeah, sure. It's gonna be chase, and whoever gets caught by the 'it', gets beaten by the 'it'. Everyone's included in it, including 'curly-brow' and 'witch'. Everybody good with that?!" He screamed and started to reach out towards Luffy. And there goes the start of their game of 'modified' tag.

Robin was walking her way in front of the gate and saw a familiar yellow car. She was sure it was the guy her aunt was talking about, so she went near it. She lowered her head and looked at the driver. She was surprised since not only the car is familiar, but also the driver.

"Oh, lucky, it's you." Law said as he saw Robin ducked down his window. He was glad that it was her and not some weird pick by the Principal's secretary. He coolly got around his car and opened the door for her. Together, they drove to the preschool. "I didn't really expect that it would be you. Ms. Shakky just asked me earlier that I need to go to her daughter's activity for her. She mentioned about another female student to go with me, but I didn't know it was you."

The two of them went straight to the preschool's building. One by one, they looked at kiosks until they saw who they were looking for. When they peeked inside the window of the gym, the program hasn't started yet. The parents and guardians who came were still talking with each other, waiting for the program to start. They went near the kiosk and went towards the kid.

"Nee-chan! You came!" the kid said and came running to Robin. Robin carried her in her arms after a hug. "Of course! If it's you, I'd definitely come. Hey, this is Law. He came in your dad's place. Say hi, Mocha."

"Hi, Law nii-chan! I'm Mocha."

They stayed for long since the program still haven't started yet. The bonding time for the parents and guardians was extended since some parents were still arriving. They held games that even Robin and Law joined. They even joined the paper dance where Law carried Robin newlywed style for a couple of rounds of the game. They easily won the game and the other games they joined. Law unusually would always volunteer to join but later, Robin noticed that all the games they played involved 'skin-ship'; making her twitch an eyebrow accompanied with a sigh but just chose to enjoy and let him be.

The three of them seemed so close and looked like a real family. All the people who saw them thought that they were really Mocha's parents. A mother of Mocha's classmate even asked Robin if how many years had they've been married, Robin was supposed to say that their not but Law interrupted and said they were a newlywed couple but Mocha just came first. Law said it in a calm voice, making it so believable even those who heard believed.

Mocha was sitting on Law's lap, while Robin was far away; walking towards them since she just came out of the comfort room. She noticed that the two looked like they're really enjoying each other's company. Mocha looked like she really is Law's daughter, and Law acted also fatherly. He might pretend to just stay silent, spoiled and mysterious but Robin knows that inside Law is a good and caring guy to people around him.

She was looking dearly at the two, but when Law saw Robin approaching he patted the chair beside him. Robin smiled and felt happy for being able to spend time with him and see this part of him. It seemed like Law was able to earn a point from Robin's heart. Robin sat beside Law and lightly brushed Mocha's hair. Law was able to see that simple act and he was mesmerized. He saw Robin almost like a goddess bestowing an act of sweetness to a child. He didn't notice that he was just stuck, staring at her. And as if like he was compelled, he slowly closed the distance of his lips to her beautiful face.

"Inch by inch. Little by little. I'm moving closer to you." Thought Law, as he goes closer. Robin, seeing through the corner of her eye that Law's moving closer, she turned her face towards his. Their faces became so close that in a matter of a few seconds, they might already be showing signs of P.D.A. (public display of affection). Everything seemed to be going pretty well, when an unexpected thing came.

*buzzzz *buzzzz *buzz

Disturbed and surprised by the vibrations of his phone, Law quickly answered it.

*beep

"Oi, Law~ I need help . . . something with the business. Skip class and dash to my office."

"Seriously?! Why do you always have to ruin something important?"

"Why, is there something important going on? A quiz? A class report? Oh, I know now, are you about to bang someone right now?! Is she hot?"

"Shut up. I'm with Rayleigh's daughter right now for a school activity."

"Oh, really? But I need you to come right now."

"Yeah, I'm going."

"Good then." *beep

Law carried Mocha down his lap. "I gotta go. I need to go to my brother's office. He said it's important."

"It's alright. You can go. I'll take care of Mocha."

Law bid adieu to the two and went to his brother fast, leaving Robin alone with Mocha.

-At school-

The Mugiwaras were still playing tag at the rooftop. It was just almost an hour since Robin left. Usopp had died in their modified game of tag thrice now and Zoro was still the 'it', chasing all of them around. Sanji would always fight Zoro one on one whenever Zoro would try to go and chase Nami. They'd sometimes end up fighting seriously and would get really pissed off with each other.

Zoro was now chasing Luffy and Nami. Nami was screaming hella loud and bolted in front of Luffy; making him as block to Zoro. Sanji tried to block him but just got thrown away by Zoro. Zoro just didn't care of him anymore; he just wanted to beat up Luffy. Releasing a very dark aura and red eyes, he chased and chased the two. Nami wasn't Zoro's target but due to his scary state, Nami ran with Luffy to make him as her shield because she thought she was the one being chased.

Zoro was laughing evilly and had already sped up like a horse. Zoro was almost to Luffy and Nami. Just an arm span and he'll be able to reach the two. He reached out his hand, aiming for Luffy's uniform, all was well when his phone rang; making him stop. Nami noticed that Zoro stopped chasing them, so out of being exhausted, she immediately stopped with relief. But she just forgot about something, Luffy was still running. And before she could jump out of his way, Luffy bumped into Nami; making the both of them fall into the ground.

He quickly answered the phone like he was expecting someone to call. But the person who called him seemed to be another person. His almost glad expression changed to his arrogant and scary face. As he was talking, he nodded a couple of times and ended the call with a smirk.

"I'm out'ta here. I'm going somewhere."

He waved as he walked towards and through the door. "Can I go, too?" asked Luffy but got no answer since Zoro had quickly disappeared. Luffy asked him since he noticed that Zoro just looked so excited as he walked out and thought Zoro was going out for fun. "Luffy . . ." With a 'hmmn?' Luffy looked down and noticed a red and smoking angry Nami under him; face so close to his and chest, well you know that part. "Oh, hi Nami. You're still there?" And to give him a quick and powerful reply to his dumb question, he received a beating from Nami.

Nami pushed Luffy off of her and brushed the wet dirt off her uniform. "Stupid jerk." She murmured with a red face and just walked towards the door with heavy steps.

-Back to Robin and Mocha-

The gym was almost full and the emcees were already calling the parents and students to settle down for the start of the program. Robin was about to tell Mocha to go inside for the program when she noticed that Mocha seemed worried about something. "Mocha, what's wrong?" Mocha looked at her with sweat slowly showing up on her forehead. "I just remembered something." Robin sat leveling her head with Mocha and placed a hand on her shoulder. "What is it?"

"Students can't go with just one guardian or parent."

"What?!"

Mocha was explaining when suddenly, they heard loud motorbike sounds. They both looked at the source of the noise and saw a guy with an athletic build, three gold earrings on his left ear, green hair coming out of the helmet, and a pair of green eyes. He was wearing a plain white shirt and a green belly-warmer underneath a black leather jacket with a hoodie inside, a pair of black shoes, and black skinny jeans.

"Kenshi-san?" "Zoro-niichan?" Robin and Mocha said in sync when they recognized him.

"Am I really late?"
