Skypaw's

It was a chilly morning. The ringing of clan cats rang throughout the camp. I sat in the corner waiting my dark peripherals gLinting in the shallow shade. The clan was up and running again, after Hailfoots death. Hazelstar still hadn't chosen a new deputy. It lingered on my mind, the question, of why she hadn't chosen the new deputy. She seemed to be taking her time, analyzing very warrior carefully. Even taking a few of them out for strolls in the forest. One would think that the Clan was running as smooth as the stream. Go figure.

"Skypaw…?" A tail nudged my shoulder softly. I grimaced and set a annoyed look overhead. It was Aspenflame.

"Hm, Yes?" I sputtered, my tail gliding smoothly against the dirt.

"I'm taking you with me, cause I'm your mentor and I have to train you to be a good warrior and hunt and fight and warrior stuff like that." He said slowly, as if I didn't get the point. I stared at him blankly.

"Oh yeeeahhh." I quickly hopped to mitts, and bounded to the forest not even bothering to look behind me. A little into the stroll to the forest, I slowed down so Aspenflame could catch up.

"Slow down! Honestly, I couldn't have had a tougher apprentice to train. You're a load." He huffed.

So full of himself isn't he.

Yeah. Upto the brim.

"You're the one who chose the cat no cat wants to train." I muttered, flicking my ears in annoyance. He watched me silently, which sent uncomfortable tingles down my spine. I didn't dare look away. And, it just went on and on and on. Finally, Aspenflame decided to look away.

" Anyway- We're going to practice some hunting skills today." He seemed distant- A little too distant.

" Yeah, ok. So.. er what do I do?" I mewed, looking around. He set his eyes straight up ahead.

"The trick is, to make everything around you a blur. You need to focus. Straight ahead at your prey. You need to imagine it's next move. And, by imagining that you need to….." I broke off, in the middle of the cheesy lecture. The wind blowing the leaves caught my attention. It was mind dazzling. Amazing. Interesting. Astonishing. So many things.

"Skypaw. Skypaw! Skypaw?" It broke me out of the never ending daze.

"Yeah, Kay, What?" I sputtered. He sighed, his shoulders heaving up and down. Weird that my eyes were set on his shoulders. They're muscular. It made me fume.

"Just- watch me." He huffed, placing himself onto the cold dewy ground. Black swirls weirdly fluttered in front of me. My head felt heavy. I tried with all my mighty strength to pay attention to my mentor. His head was swiveled towards me. His ice blue eyes glimmering. I gaped my mouth open and nodded. He pounced up his muscles rippling underneath his grey pelt. I watched him intently my dark cyan peripherals observing his every unique move. The way he lunged forth at the prey, the way his long talons embedded into the rabbit. For some reason, that's what I found most attractive about him. I lost track, when my mind said to myself " Attractive ".

"Oh StarClan! Why have you cursed me with this odd feeling of attraction to another?" I yelled out - loudly. Aspenflames head jerked back almost immediately, I bit on my tongue.

" What did you just say?" He asked, his eyes wide. I smiled, my heart racing.

"Nothing. I said nothing." I stated. He smirked, all of a sudden his other tensions gone. He strided forth, until we were almost nose to nose.

"Are you sure, Skypaw?" He whispered in my ear, his breath sending tingles down my spine. I blinked.

"My flabber mouth was shut." I said. He stared right into my eyes, before turning on his heels back to his duty.

" I thought I heard something pleasing for a second, flabber mouth." I was then left with my own thoughts of what would have happened of I had said, " Yes I did say something".

"Now. Show me what you've learned."

Kage's P.O.V.

"Kage, we have an emergency!" I immediately woke up from my light nap at the sound and urgency in my second-in-command, Kai's voice. I bristled for a moment before staring at the panicked white and brown cat.

"What's happening?" I asked, as we both walked out of my den my ginger fur standing up slightly. "There's been an attack. Three hunters and one of their trainees went out to hunt. They got into a skirmish with some other cats who out numbered and easily overpowered them." He shook his head rapidly, his lake blue eyes wide.

"Who was it?!" I asked, walking quickly towards the healer's den. "Amber, River, and Sage. The trainee was Sand."

I walked across the camp to the healer's den as cats began to emerge from their dens. I paused, taking a deep breath and readying myself, before going into the healer's den, not sure what to expect.

"Kage!" Mwyene's snarled as I entered the den. His sandy-brown fur and dark-brown lion-like mane were on end, and as he snarled, he looked like a real lion. "We need to get revenge immediately!" The fighter growled from where he was lying next to his only kit, which was unfortunately Sand. "Hold on. Let me speak to them, the healer, and the cats of the rebellion, and we'll decide." I growled back at him.

He bared his teeth at me, his pale-blue eyes blazing with anger and hatred. "Either you do it, or I'll do it myself."

"Mwyene, I thought I told you go get out of here. You're not helping!" Our healer, Raj said lightly, his dark gaze hard. Mwyene muttered something angrily under his breath, but left nonetheless knowing not to anger Raj.

"What's the damage?" I said with a large sigh.

"River won't make it." Raj said, quickly and quietly as not to wake up Sand, Amber, or Sage. "Mwyene's not going to be happy at all, and I'd hate to be the one to tell him." I said, imagining the big tom's anger and sorrow as someone told him that his mate was dead.

Raj flicked his ears at my comment and growled quietly.

"I asked Sage before I gave her poppy seeds. They were just hunting when three forest cats came and accused them of killing their deputy. Our patrol denied it, but the forest cat insisted and said they were going to avenge their deputy. Then as our patrol walked away, the forest cats attacked. They were merciless and brutal and brought back reinforcements when our patrol started beating them. They almost killed Sand but River got in the way at the last moment…" I shook my head, looking at Sand, her body covered in claw marks and her sandy fur covered in dust and dirt. "Sage has a bad bite to her hind leg and clawmarks on her muzzle along with a chunk taken out of her ear. Amber got away with the least damage of deep clawmarks on her side and missing fur. River though…she won't last for more than a day..." Raj just let out a big sigh that sounded suspiciously like a sob, and I remember that the both of them had been extremely close. I sat there for a moment awkwardly, unsure how to comfort the black tom.

"I'll tell Mwyene." Raj continued, turning his back to me, resorting his herbs.

Suddenly,I felt a deep fury at the clan cats. How dare they attack my friends and family and accuse of something we didn't even do so they could hurt us! I lashed my tail, storming out of the den. Cats quickly got out of my path as I made a beeline to my den.

"All elites come meet me in my den." I yowled to the camp before I stepped in. The first elites to come were Lightning and Kai, my third and second in command. Kai stopped to snarl at Lightning who glared at him. Those two always fought, Kai claiming that Lightning had once killed multiple clan cats during times I had been on errands.

Raj also counted as an elite, along with the head fighter, Eclipse and lead hunter, Erik.

I paced the den as the elites all came in and took a seat in my den.

"Surely, you've all heard what happened. This is a meeting regarding the events of this morning with the forest cats."

"Yeah, what're we gonna do 'bout that?" Erik muttered in his odd accent. Lightning glared at the ginger tabby tom. "Well maybe if you shut up, Kage will tell us, dummy." Lightning snarled back.

"Shut up all of you. The plan is simple. They attacked us and hurt our group when we already said we were innocent, and now we're down a valuable hunter and friend." I growled, my tail lashing furiously.

"We get revenge then." Eclipse said quietly, obviously following my train of thought. Raj looked worried by this, but I had already made up my mind.

"We'll destroy those forest cats if it's the last thing we'll do."

"But..what about the forest cats that train with us?" Erik asked, his mismatched amber and blue eyes on me.

"Well then they're just have to chose, won't they. Elites dismissed." I hissed, digging my claws into the ground, excited for the moment I get to make those forest cats wish they were never born.

Hullo, it's Erik again! So sorry it's been so long since Thunder and Jay updated..'cause stuff happens and writer's block and well, you know. T&J plan to update more often to make up for this stuff, and once again, T&J are sorry. Happy Writing!

QOTD: If it's Rebellion versus Clans, who'll win?

A: Thunder: Rebellion, definitely.
