Here is a longer one to make up for the short one last time .Wow over 13,000 views and almost 150 reviews! Thanks so much! Sorry I left off with a cliffhanger in the last chapter, it was just too perfect. Since I didn't get much of a response on the poll I put up, I'm just going to write what fits the best. Let me know what you think, I love getting feedback. Thanks for reading! :D

You know falling to my doom gets old real fast. As I fell all I could think about was that my family was in danger, and my best friend had gone off the deep end. Right as I started to scream, I landed in someone's lap. I looked up to see worried green eyes. We were on one of those alien hovercraft things, flying over the city. Loki scanned me over for any injury's, only finding a smallish scrape on my arm, he relaxed.

"Anna, are you alright?" I could only stare at him. Having him switch from crazy to caring so fast is gonna give me whiplash.

"Yeah...I'm fine. For falling off a building that is." He looked pained.

"I am truly sorry for that." I could tell he was fighting again, the blue was trying to overtake the green.

"Anna, you have to know...you are very important to me. I lo-care about you immensely. I would never let anything happen to you. No matter what...right?" In spite of everything, I smiled at him.

"No matter what, Loki; I'll always be there for you. He grinned at me; the green winning for the moment.

"Good to hear you say it." Fighting my urge to smile back, I frowned at him.

This," I gestured to the mayhem below. "is very not okay. And I am extremely angry with you right now. But you have to make your own choices, I can't do it for you." I paused, and smiled at him. "I care about you too Loki. Very much so." He smiled before his face grew hard, and the blue engulfed his green eyes. Leaving them dull, effectively killing the playful sparkle.

"Well then, look at that. A little spider come out to play."

I looked in the direction he pointed. To my dismay, Tasha was grappling with one of the butt-ugly aliens on one of the flying hover things. to my further dismay, Loki raised his staff to fire at her. He would have made a direct hit, if I hadn't yanked his arm down. He glared at me and fired again, barely missing this time. Loki had moved me to where I was sitting beside him, almost hidden; so I didn't see the arrow coming at us. Thankfully Loki did and he caught it in midair; not so thankfully it was an exploding arrow.

The blast threw us back onto the balcony of what was left of Stark Tower. My fall was cushioned somewhat by, what I'm assuming was magic. That didn't stop me from getting banged up though. Glass was cutting into my arm and I'm almost positive that I sprained my wrist from trying to catch myself. I looked up into Loki's very green, and very worried eyes.

"ANNA!" Loki's panicked voice was the last thing I heard before I faded into unconsciousness.

You know that semi-conscious state most people are in on a Monday morning? The one where you can see and hear, but you can't really compute your surroundings? Yeah, that's what I felt like right now; and I had a killer headache on top of that. A loud thud and the sound of braking glass registered slightly, but I was still out of it. I must have hit my head harder than I thought. I tried to sit up, but the double vision and dizziness was a signal that I shouldn't move so fast. Turning around, I only caught the end of Loki's rant. Well one of them, I could see two Loki's at the moment. And two Hulk's for that matter, oh dear this isn't going to end well for him.

"...dull creature, and I will not be bullied by..." He was cut off by Hulk throwing him around like a rag doll. That's got to hurt! Well, he had that one coming, should have known better than to tick off the Hulk.

"Puny god."

The sound of a loud pounding, brought my attention to the fact that the Hulk was coming towards me. He came to stand right in front of me, and then kneeled down to look at me.

"Anna...safe now." I smiled weakly at the green face in front of me.

"Yeah, thanks Bruce."

He startled me by gently picking me up and jumping off the building, safe to say I screamed, loudly. Once we were on the ground, Hulk dumped me in the closest pair of arms and jumped up to catch a rapidly falling Tony. I didn't have time to worry about that because a very confused Clint Barton was staring me in the face.

"Anna?! How...why? What are you doing here?" I tried to smile, but the pain coming from the scrape (which was now a large bleeding cut) on my arm turned it into a grimace.

"I guess this is someday. Good to see you Clint." He blinked twice and then he grinned at me.

"Yeah, someday. Oh crap, you're bleeding!" I rolled my eyes.

"Thanks Sherlock, I had no idea." Before he could retort the Hulk roared, making me jump, and interrupting whatever he was going to say. Clint opened his mouth to speak, but Tony's voice stopped him.

"What the... What just happened? Please tell me you didn't kiss me." Cap smiled and answered him.

"We won." Tony sat up and grinned.

"Hey, alright. Good job guys. Let's just take a day. Have you ever tried shawarma? There's a shawarma joint about two blocks from here. I don't know what it is, but I wanna try it." Thor looked up, in the direction of Stark Tower.

"We're not done yet." Tony gave a little pout.

"And then shawarma after."

I jumped out of Clint's arms (almost falling on my face) and ran over to Tony and hugged him, despite the metal suit.

"You have death wish, don't you?" He looked at me and frowned.

"Maybe you're the one with a death wish. Your 'friend' just destroyed most of New York. And look at you! You're hurt; when Bruce de-greens you need to have him look at that cut. You have to be more careful Lisey." I tactfully ignored the jab about Loki.

"My family is comprised of superheroes Tony. I think careful isn't in the picture anymore. But I have shouldn't have to worry because my brother is Iron Man." He grinned at that.

"Well, yeah, that is true. By the way, I just need you to sign something and you'll be a Stark officially." Someone clearing their throat grabbed out attention; I turned to see Tasha looking at us.

"I hate to interrupt, but we still need to deal with Loki."

Everyone's face turned serious at the mention of Loki. It was decided that we were to fly up to the penthouse; I insisted on coming with them, even though none of them wanted me anywhere near Loki. Tasha, Clint and Steve rode up on a commandeered hovercraft, Hulk just jumped/climbed up, so I rode up with Tony. And Thor, well he can fly...so, yeah. Tony and I were that first to arrive, and my heart broke seeing Loki all battered and bruised on the ground. So before Tony could stop me I ran over to him.

"Anna! Don't approach the supervillain!" Sorry T.

He blinked his eyes open; they were back their normal green color, for good I hope. His eyes shifted from me to somewhere behind me.

"Loki are you alright?"

"Oh little dreamer, is that even a question?." I smiled at the nickname; he was back, this was my friend.

"Can I still call you friend, after everything I've done?" I laughed, causing him to furrow his brows in confusion.

"Best friends, Loki. Yes, you messed up big time, but that won't keep me from being your friend." He smiled, and we then spoke in unison.

"No matter what."

"No matter what."

We grinned at each other, and I hugged him. For a second he didn't do anything (out of surprise, I'm thinking) but then he wrapped his arms around me.

"I will always be there for you Loki." He leaned back to meet my eyes,; his gaze growing thoughtful, as if debating whether or not to do something.

"And I also Anna."

His eyes grew mischievous, and then before I could blink, he darted forward and kissed my cheek. A growling sound from behind me caused him to let go and his face to fall slightly. I turned around to see Tony and the team glaring at Loki.

"How many times am I gonna have to say this today: Don't touch my sister!" Loki, who still had a hand on top of mine, jerked it off. He looked at them and sighed as he shifted to amore upright position.

"If it's all the same to you, I'll have that drink now."

The next two days were a blur, I lost more blood than I thought from the cut on arm. It caused me to pass out from blood loss an hour after Loki had been taken into S.H.I.E.L.D custody; and minutes before Bruce un-hulked. He almost Hulked out again seeing me passed out, covered in blood and bruises, or so I'm told. I am so sick of fainting like a sissy.

When I woke up the next day, most likely in a S.H.I.E.L.D medical facility, the first thing I saw was Bruce asleep in a chair next to the bed. He must be a light sleeper because just my stirring woke him up.

"Anna! How do you feel? I had to give you a blood transfusion." I smiled at him.

"I'm feel fine, thanks dad." His eyes sparkled, and he grinned.

"Good." Then his face dropped a bit. "Tony is going to murder me, he wanted to be here when you woke up." That made me laugh.

"Well I'm an expert at dealing with a Tony-tantrum." This got a chuckle out of Bruce.

"Actually the whole team wanted to see you the second you were awake. So I really shou-" He was cut off by the door slamming open.

"Lisey! You're okay! You look awful though." Tony had burst in the room, quickly followed by the rest of the Avengers. I fake glared at him.

"Thanks Tony, that's what every girl wants to hear." Cap frowned at him.

"You look fine Anna. I-we're all just glad you're alright."

"Thanks Steve, I appreciate that, considering I do look pretty bad." And I did, I was covered in grime and my clothes were ripped in various places. Not to mention the ever darkening bruises on my arms. He grinned at me, stopping abruptly when he saw Tony's scowl.

"Yes La-Anna, it is a relief to see you are in good health." Thor, who had been standing in the back of the room, spoke up.

"Thanks big guy."

Then I touched on the topic that no one wanted to think about: Loki.

"Where is he?" Everyone's smiles dropped off their faces, knowing who I was talking about. Natasha was the one to answer me.

"He is in a secure S.H.I.E.L.D holding cell, awaiting transport to Asgard later today." I frowned and then voiced the suspicion that had been niggling in the back of my mind.

"I think Loki was influenced by the Tesseract. I don't think he was fully in control of himself." I was met with varying degrees of shock and disbelief. I hurried to explain.

"His eyes, they kept changing from green to icy blue; the same color as the Tesseract. He seemed to be fighting himself whenever I was talking to him." Tony rolled his eyes.

"That's a load of bull Anna. You just want to protect your evil boyfriend." I knew he was irritated and just wanted to get a rise out of me, but I blushed and glared at him anyways.

"He is not my boyfriend! We're just friends Tony!" Thor interrupted before the argument could escalate.

"No, Anna may be right. There is a possibility of Loki being influenced by the Tesseract. That does not excuse his actions though." Well, duh!

"I'm not saying that, what I am saying is maybe you could take that into consideration when figuring out his punishment." Everyone seemed to calm down at that.

"Do you think I could see him before you have to leave?"

"No way, not happening! This guy is pure evi-" I silenced Tony with a look, and looked at Bruce with puppy dog eyes. He sighed.

"As Long as you're careful not to rip your stiches, you should be fine." I grinned at him, climbed out of the bed and kissed him on the cheek.

"Thanks dad!" He just coughed and hugged me, mumbling about stubborn redheads.

"We'll be watching the whole time." Overprotective brothers.

"Okay Tony." He just rolled his eyes.

"Can I go see him now?" Natasha and Clint motioned for me to follow and left the room. It wasn't very far to Loki's cell, before they opened the door, Clint put his hand on my shoulder.

"Hey, kid...don't do anything stupid. Okay?" I just smirked.

"No promises." They both shook their heads and sighed, before opening the door.

I hurt her. Ever since the Tesseract induced fog had lifted from my mind, those words kept echoing around in my head. I hurt Anna. And lots of other people...but the thought Anna coming to harm by my hand...was a terrible feeling.

When I was lead away by those pathetic agents, she looked so pale and she was covered in blood. It was all my fault. But even after everything, she said the words that meant everything to me. No matter what. But I won't be surprised if she changes her mind, when she has time to think about it. The sound of the door opening shook me out of my inner monologue. It was Anna! She look terrible, clothes ripped and a big cut sewn up an her arm.

"Loki? Did you hear me?" I looked into the unfathomable depths that were her eyes.

"No I didn't, sorry."

"Whose the dreamer now?" I smiled at her.

"I suppose that it would be me." She came and sat beside me, and leaned her head on my shoulder.

"You are in a lot of trouble, you know that right? I may have gotten them to think about lightening up a bit, but not much."

"You tried to get me a lighter sentence? Why?" I truly did not understand, I laid waste to her city. Surely she would have reconsidered being friends with one such as me. She pulled back to look me in the eye.

"Must you always be so dense? I am your best friend, of course I would try to get you off the hook. You did for me many times, when we would play tricks on Thor." We both grinned reminiscing of days gone by.

"Yes I did, didn't I?"

"My favorite was when you enchanted his hair to be green and gold all day."

"Well I had many favorites. But the time we filled a container full of Bildshnipe slime and put it over Thor's door so it would fall on him, that was one that stood out. Midgardians are quite adept in mischief. " The smile fell off my face.

"But why ar-" The sharp tone in her voice startled me

"Loki! Quit being dumb, I am your friend and there is nothing you can do about it!" I smirked at her.

"Well then friend, you do realize that I cannot let you call me dumb go by the wayside? " She raised a brow.

"Oh really? What will you do then?" I grinned at her.

"Look in a mirror and find out." Her eyes widened.

"Loki, I swear if my hair is green again..." This time I laughed.

"No, a little more subtle this time I'm afraid. But if you wish it to be green, I can oblige." She pushed me and stood up.

"Once was enough thank you. Now what did you do to my hair Loki?" I got up and came to stand in front of her.

"Just something to remember me by." I pulled a strand her long redish hair out from behind her ear and ran my finger down it, turning it gold. She gasped, looking from her hair to me.

"You know...I actually, really like it. Thanks Loki." She gave me a big hug and smiled at me, but then her eyebrows crinkled up in confusion.

"What do you mean 'to remember you by'?" I sighed, I thought it was obvious.

"Thor is taking me back to Asgard, I will most likely be imprisoned." The confusion on her face persisted.

"So?"

"So, I don't know if I'll see you again." Realization dawned on her face, but quickly turned into exasperation.

"Loki...I will see you again. That's a fact, end of discussion." I smirked.

"Your confidence is refreshing. If you say so Anna, then we will meet again." Before she could reply a knock sounded on the door, followed by the voice of the obnoxious man whose tower I commandeered.

"Lisey...it's time to go. Your crazy friend has a ride to catch." She bristled at his words.

"Just a minute Tony." I laughed at her muttering about overprotective little brothers. My laughter was halted abruptly by her words.

"I'm going to miss you Loki." Hesitantly, I put my arms around her.

"Don't be sad little dreamer, you yourself said that this isn't the end." She sniffed and looked at me.

"I know." Another knock signaled it was time to go. She sighed and pulled away.

"I guess it's time to go." At that the door opened, showing the entire team waiting for us.

The deadly redhead came in with shackles and...a muzzle? The shackles I understand but a muzzle. Anna shot me a look, as if to say 'just go with it'. So I let them bind me and lead me to one of their flying transports.

The trip to the site where Thor and I would depart was fairly short, upon landing we walked out to a bridge, all of the other Avengers were there as well. But I wasn't interested in them, the only person I wanted to see was Anna. And there she was with her brother; he had his arms around her and saying something to her but I couldn't hear what it was. It was only when Thor motioned for me to grab the device that would take us to Asgard that I snapped out of it. But before He could activate it, Anna ran over to us, having escaped the Iron Man's grasp.

"Wait!" Thor turned around to look at her.

"Anna, we must go now." She gave a watery smile.

"I know Thor, I just wanted to say goodbye." He used the arm that wasn't holding anything to pull her into a hug.

"Farewell Anna. It was good to see you again. I am sorry it was under such circumstances." I rolled my eyes, of course he would apologize.

"That's okay, I'm just glad I got to see you. Do consider what I said." Taking all of us by surprise she pulled away form him and hugged me tightly.

"Do try to keep yourself out of trouble Loki. For me?" I couldn't say anything, but I winked at her.

"I'll take that as a maybe." I would have laughed if I could've. She stepped back to join her brother, and then I took the other end of the device and we disappeared, Anna leaving my sight.

I sighed, it was hard watching them leave. Hopefully Loki will be alright.

"Anna, come here." I turned around to see Bruce and Tony waving me over.

"C'mon Lisey, lets get out of here. And find you some clothes that aren't all ripped up." I hadn't been able to get cleaned up and change clothes if I wanted to see them off in time. Before I could reply, I felt a tap on my shoulder.

"Actually, I was wondering if you wanted to come with me. I mean for a ride, on my bike. My motorcycle, over there." I smiled as Steve came in front of me.

"That sound' lik-"

"Like no fun. Nothing Lisey would be interested in." I glared at Tony.

"I can think for myself Tony." I glanced at Bruce, who just rolled his eyes. "I would like that Steve."

"Ugh, Okay, okay. As long you come right back to the tower when you're done." I smirked at Tony.

"Sure thing T, I'll be back before you know it."

So I followed Steve to his bike and climbed on behind him. As we rode off I waved at Bruce and Tasha, gave Clint a three-fingered salute, and stuck my tongue out at Tony.

We rode in silence for a bit, just taking in the utter destruction of the city. It was Steve who eventually broke the quiet.

"So...are you okay?" Okay? Well not really.

"I'm a bit of a mess right now, but I'll be fine. How about you?" He laughed.

"Me? It's a big adjustment, that's for sure. But I think I'm doing okay considering everything."

"Well I thi-" I was cut off by Steve taking a sharp turn to avoid some of the wreckage. I squealed and wrapped my arms around his waist to keep from falling off. Man, he was ripped!

"You alright back there?"

"Yeah, I'm fine." He coughed, and I loosened my grip.

"I think we should head back towards Stark Tower, we've been out for almost an hour." Really, it's been that long?

"Sure, I don't want Tony to freak out...Oh, I think you're going to have tell Tony I couldn't make it." My bracelet had started to heat up and glow.

"What, why?"

"Tony will understand, I have a bad habit of disappearing at the most inopportune moments." The tower just came into sight, as the heat became more intense.

"But I..." He sighed. "Be careful Anna." Things started to fade away.

"Until we meet again Captain." Then the world around me disappeared.

This bracelet must be very literal, queue the whole being in a treehouse and then falling from a great height. Since I was riding on a motorcycle, when reappeared I was thrown forward onto a sidewalk, on my face. Groggily I picked my head off the ground to look around, it appeared I was still in New York, Queens by the looks of it. Shakily I stood up, holding onto a streetlight to make sure I didn't fall down. Crap, I busted my stiches! I turned around to see if there was anyone nearby, and a kid on a skateboard almost ran me over.

"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry, are you okay?" Then he stepped into the light of the streetlight and looked at me. "You're bleeding! Come on, follow me, my Aunt can fix that." He must be talking about the stiches.

"I'm a bit lost, so thank you. My name is Annalise Harrison, but call me Anna." He smiled.

"No problem, I'm Peter Parker."
