There was a great roaring in the background. Ilya looked around and realized that she was standing on the edge of a giant waterfall, two colossal statues on either side.
She wasn't able to discern who the two statues were supposed to be depicting, but she was able to easily recognize the two figures standing on the heads. One was the younger version of her Servant, while the other was the boy that she had seen in the first dream. It seemed that he had survived his fight from the first dream after all.
Ilya watched as the two merely stood staring at each other. It looked as though her Servant had been giving chase of the other boy, but the two had paused in their game of cat and mouse. Then the other boy spoke and with a start, Ilya realized she could actually hear him clearly this time.
"So you've come, Naruto."
Her Servant's hardened gaze softened at the boy's words.
"Sasuke."
Ilya watched as Sasuke's own eyes hardened at the tone Naruto had used.
"I won't go back to Konoha. Orochimaru has offered me power and I intend to take him up on the offer."
Naruto's teeth ground in frustration at Sasuke's words.
"You have to know that Orochimaru is just using you!"
Sasuke's reply was swift.
"I don't care! The only thing that matters to me is that I'm able to kill Itachi!"
Ilya started at that name, she knew that name!
"If that means I have to let Orochimaru use me, then so be it! I will have my revenge, Naruto!"
Ilya watched as her Servant's gaze became one of longing, one that made her heart ache.
"I see."
She thought that might have been the end of it, but then Naruto slipped into a fighting stance, a look of hard determination entering his eyes.
"Then I guess I'll just have to take you back to Konoha by force!"
With that he launched himself at Sasuke. Ilya was in awe as she watched the two boys clash over and over again. The fight slowly ramped up until Sasuke used a move which had him driving his hand through her Servant's shoulder. Ilya felt her jaw drop at that kind of wound. She didn't see how Naruto would have been able to survive something like that.
However, he miraculously recovered. The demon aura that she had sensed before coming to light and once more the two engaged in a vicious battle. It seemed that this time, Naruto had the upper hand. Ilya watched as he beat Sasuke all over the valley, before Ilya caught a strange glint in Sasuke's eye. Suddenly, Sasuke was able to counter everything that Naruto was throwing at him.
Ilya was flabbergasted. Was this a type of fight with a former comrade? Her answer was staring her in the face. The two were obviously trying to kill each other.
Finally the two ended up by the waterfall once more, the dull roar of the body of water permeating the air. Both fighters had taken on a visage that was more demonic than human. Ilya had never seen such young fighters cause so much destruction. She was beginning to see why her Servant had been welcomed on the Throne of Heroes.
Ilya felt herself tense as she saw the two preparing for what was probably going to be the final attack. Her Servant had lost the use of one of his arms and Sasuke also seemed to be suffering some pain from attempting to use the demonic visage that he was in.
For a moment the two merely stood across from each other, both attacks lighting the area. Then they sprang toward one another.
"Naruto!"
"Sasuke!"
The two were just about to hit one another when…
Ilya eyes snapped open and she shot up in her bed. She immediately regretted her course of action as the world spun uncomfortably at her sudden movement. Shaking her head to try and jumpstart her mind, she gazed around the room.
She saw Berserker dutifully standing guard in the corner of her room. She grasped her head as another stab of pain shot through her.
"Berserker, what happened last night?"
For a moment she wasn't sure her Servant had heard her. He sat in stoic silence as he gazed into the corner of the room, not deigning to look at her. Just when she was about to ask again, he turned his attention to her.
"You did something that I specifically asked you not to do."
Ilya winced at her Servant's harsh tone. She knew it had been a risk using the Command Spell as she had, but she had thought there was no choice at the time. Surely her Servant could understand that!
"Berserker-"
However, she was cut off by her Servant before she could even attempt to explain.
"I specifically asked you not to use that sort of Command Spell, Master. It wasn't just some whim of mine I came up with when I was summoned for this Grail War. My Noble Phantasm is something that could endanger the very existence of magic! Not to mention the danger you, yourself, are in when I'm in that state. Right now I can't control it and if I can't control the Fox then neither can you!"
Ilya flinched at his mode of address to her. He had only called her Ilya-hime in a teasing lilt before, when that had been alone. He had never defaulted to calling her Master for anything. Apparently she had screwed up more than she had thought last night. However, she wasn't in the mood for a lecture at this time.
"I had to do something! Assassin was kicking your ass! How can we expect to win like that!?"
Berserker shook his head in consternation at her tone. It seemed as though he was struggling with how to react to what he probably viewed as a betrayal on her part. Thinking about the dream she had just seen, she winced. Her Servant probably didn't take betrayal too kindly.
She glanced away and took in view that was just outside her window. The trees were swaying lightly in a cool breeze. She decided that she had to know the outcome of her dream.
"Did you ever make up with Sasuke?"
Ilya glanced at her Servant's profile and immediately regretted her choice of question. He had tensed and was now staring straight ahead, not looking in her direction at all.
For a moment she wasn't sure if he would answer her, but he eventually did, much to her surprise.
"No."
Before Ilya could respond to that declaration, her Servant had astralized and was heading out into the city.
Ilya grimaced. Perhaps she had made a bigger mistake than she had thought?
Kotomine Kirei wasn't a person that surprised easily. He had prided himself on being nigh unflappable at this point, but apparently he had been more wrong than he had thought.
Sitting in one of the many pews that were scattered throughout the church, the King of Heroes was currently nursing a glass of wine. This in and of itself wasn't very unusual for the priest. Rather it was the fact that it seemed as though the King of Heroes had actually gotten into a fight last night and if the telling injuries that Kirei proved to be true, then he might have come out of the wrong end from said fight.
However, despite his surprise, Kirei knew it was necessary to remain unflappable in the eyes of the Hero of Uruk.
"Well, I wasn't expecting you to be in here lounging during the day."
Even though it was said as a statement, Gilgamesh was obviously able to hear the slight questioning inflection that Kirei had input into his voice.
"Hmm."
That was the only answer the King of Heroes gave as he took a sip of his no doubt extravagant wine.
"I met someone last night. Or perhaps I should say something."
Kirei found himself becoming intrigued. It seemed that whatever had given Gilgamesh those wounds had walked away and had also lived to tell the tale. He could only think of a few reasons that Gilgamesh would be interested in such a phenomenon.
"Tell me, King of Heroes, did you run into the Saber for this War last night?"
Gilgamesh shot Kirei a calculating look at the priest's innocent sounding question, but Kirei made sure to give nothing away in his expression. The King took another sip of wine, obviously savoring the favor before he answered Kirei's query.
"We did run into each other, but I think it was more a coincidence than anything else. Make no mistake, she will be mine, but in the meantime I think I've found something just as interesting. A legend from before my own is walking the streets at the moment."
Well, there went his unflappable demeanor. Kirei's expression had turned to one of open shock. He actually felt his jaw drop open at the proclamation that the King of Heroes had just made. Someone from before the time of Gilgamesh?
Kirei wracked his mind, but even his own keen intellect couldn't pull up any Heroic Spirits that fit the picture that the King of Heroes had painted. After a moment of indecision he decided to continue on the strange course that their conversation had taken.
"I must admit, even I couldn't envision anyone come before your own grandeur."
Gilgamesh tossed an amused look over his wine glass as he brought forth a wine jug and another glass from his Gate. Kirei sighed as he took the offered wineglass and got comfortable next to the man. Although he was sitting in a rigid state, the King beside him was lounging for all he was worth while still exuding a regal air.
The silence was broken by Gilgamesh.
"I never expected to see any of those types of Heroes here. I had thought that magi actually had to have some form of working knowledge of the legend to summon the Heroic Spirits. However, while I'm sure I am one of the oldest written legends, there have been oral legends predating the flood that engulfed the world."
Kirei found himself entranced by the King's words. Naturally Gilgamesh would be a good orator, but he had never really heard of any stories before Gilgamesh before. However, perhaps his eagerness shone too brightly through his expression, because the King of Heroes smiled sardonically at him while he swirled the wine remaining in his glass.
"I suppose that will be a story for another time. For now it is good enough to know that these Heroes have been summoned, and at least one is a match for my prowess. We'll see if he can survive a second encounter soon enough."
Kirei was about to object to the abrupt dismissal, but remembered who he was taking to just in time. Gilgamesh probably wouldn't take kindly to what he viewed as unnecessary questions.
Thankfully, the option was taken out of his hand as the King stood and stretched, before downing his remaining wine.
"I suppose that's enough talk for one day Kirei, keep an eye on the Einzbern homunculus though."
His piece said, the King of Heroes gave a wave before astralizing, leaving the priest alone with his thoughts. Kirei swirled the contents of his glass in contemplation before setting down the wine. It wouldn't do if one of his flock came in and saw him drinking on the job.
What Gilgamesh had hinted at was somewhat baffling. A hero that was older than the King of Heroes should be someone who everyone in the world knew of, therefore making their power at least equal to Gilgamesh's own. However, it was also true that if they were only passed on through oral tradition, their power would be severely limited due to the fact that almost no one would have heard of the by this time.
Kirei smirked as he glanced out one of the windows of his church. It seemed this Grail War was getting more and more intriguing as the days went on.
Matou Sakura was numb as she stared at a wall within her room. No, to say she was numb implied that she didn't feel anything at all. That was not the all encompassing emotion that was gripping her at the moment.
What was running through her very being, was fear. She was afraid of whoever had disposed of her adoptive brother (though she was both thankful and angered at the same time). She was afraid of what her grandfather was trying to accomplish, even if she didn't know what that was. She was afraid of what would happen if her magic ran rampant throughout her body.
However, the thing she was most afraid, that drove her to merely staring at the wall during this day of rest instead of planning on the best course of attack, was fighting against her Senpai. She knew that she loved Shirou with all her heart, and despite all the despicable things that she felt about herself, he had always had a kind word or smile for her.
Initially she had just been desperate for some sort of normal human interaction to escape the chains that the Matou had set upon her. She had never dreamed that a boy with red hair and a kind heart would appear and offer her his hand. She had had so many wonderful memories after that moment, but now it was all for nothing.
She had gone over all of the Masters that were participating in the War with Rider, but as soon as Shirou's name had come up, she had felt her heart freeze. She wouldn't- couldn't fight her Senpai, no matter how much her grandfather wished to obtain the Grail. No matter how much Rider wished to obtain the legendary artifact. She was unable to harden her heart against Shirou.
Sakura curled in on herself as she felt the worms within her become more active due to her own emotional turmoil. Maybe, it would be better not to feel for the remainder of the War. If she didn't feel, she wouldn't feel the all consuming terror that was assaulting her and not stopping. She would be able to hold her head high and harden her heart to do what was necessary. If only she couldn't feel…
Once more Archer found himself standing atop the tallest tower within the city.
He found he was most comfortable when he could scope as much as a battlefield as possible and the point where he was standing was the best place for that. Unfortunately, he was dealing with his own inner turmoil.
Apparently Alaya just loved to bring him as much misery and misfortune as she possibly could. The Will of Humanity had quite obviously dumped his ass in a Grail War that was not his own. A Lucid Berserker, a Caster that was damn terrifying at hand-to-hand combat, and he was pretty sure Assassin was one of the strongest Servants in this War. A sobering thought considering he had somehow been marked by the man able to teleport. Add in the Presence Concealment and he was well and truly at the mercy of Assassin, not that Rin had any knowledge of this phenomenon at the moment.
Archer sighed as he crossed his arms and looked up at the clear winter sky. Apparently he was cursed to forever be an idiot who spouted nothing but being a Hero of Justice. What a joke on his part.
Archer turned his gaze to the temple that was upon the hill that was mocking him in its unassailability. Apparently even after having crossed so many battlefields, he just wasn't ready to assail a fortress housing two unknowns. He supposed that was better than how he used to be, if last night was anything to go by.
His idiot alternate self had gone and gotten himself gravely injured, no doubt making Avalon work double time to heal the idiot. Well, maybe he should try to kill the Shirou from this reality anyway. It would certainly make him feel better if all else failed.
As he once more turned his attention to the temple, he racked his mind for some way to turn the unknowns into his favor. They were obviously strong, but perhaps the more pressing Servant would be the Berserker after all.
Last night had been the first time that the easy going blond had really lived up to his Servant Class, and he could honestly say that he didn't want to get into a fight with that thing again. It had been beyond overwhelming, repelling his own, Saber's, and Assassin's attacks as if they were nothing. He had never thought that he would be glad to see Gilgamesh, but if the King of Heroes hadn't shown up when he did, he didn't know what would have happened.
Archer sighed as he glanced in the Matou direction as well. It seemed that there were enemies on all sides in this War and he would have to somehow plan for all contingencies. The next thing he knew the user of the Fifth True Magic was going to show up in Fuyuki City. That'd really make his day.
Rin was sitting uncomfortably across from a glaring Saber. Apparently her indirect actions had caused Shirou to get injured the way he did last night, but she couldn't be in charge of that idiot's self worth! What did Saber expect her to do? Apologize? She was a Tohsaka and hey didn't do apologies. She would just have to make it up to Shirou in some way. How? She had no idea, but she was sure that something would pop up eventually.
Before the silence could become too stifling, a door slid open and an unbelievably pale Shirou made his way into the sitting room.
Rin had tensed when the door had opened, but was somewhat relieved to see that the red head was getting back on his feet, even if he did look like death warmed over. Well, at least he was conscious, that was always a win in her book. Not to mention that they would have to go over battle strategies if they had any hope of even defending they're position. If one thing had been made clear last night, it was that they were the underdogs of this War that made no sense. It would be just her luck that someone like Zelretch would pop up and blast them all into another reality before claiming the Grail for himself.
Shirou swayed on his feet before taking a seat at the table, although it looked as though he might just keel over at any instant. Sighing, Rin decided to get down to business. There was no use in dragging this out.
"Well, last night was an utter disaster."
Saber's eyes hardened at the slightly accusatory tone that Rin had used, but made no moves to correct the magus. Apparently the Servant agreed that last night was a clusterfuck that they had been lucky to escape from relatively unscathed. Shirou's wounds notwithstanding. Unfortunately she had a feeling that something even worse was on the horizon, and she just didn't know if they were ready to weather that coming storm. Taking a sip of her tea, she prepared to discuss what they had found out last night.
"Not only were we unable to take out any Servants, but Berserker went nuts, was able to overwhelm both our Servants, and a Servant that shouldn't be here, on who can actually fight Berserker when he was in that state, came out of nowhere and saved our lives on a whim. What are the chances that he decides to kill us on a whim?"
Saber grimaced at her question. Well, it seemed it was a more legitimate question than she had originally thought. If someone like that golden Servant was walking around deciding who lived and who died during the War, they were going to have a problem. Not to mention all the other Servants that were out to kill them. Particularly the scheming pair of Caster and Assassin, those two seemed to be plotting something big, if their intervention to stop Saber from disposing of Rider was anything to go by.
"There is also another potential problem that needs to be addressed."
Rin turned her gaze to Saber and saw that the regal air had faded somewhat and the Servant of the Sword was fidgeting somewhat in her seat.
"Last night I had used quite a bit of prana. Although I've replenished some, it's but a drop in the bucket. My Noble Phantasm takes a lot out of me, and because of the summoning that Shirou performed, I don't replenish or heal very well."
Rin felt her jaw dropping at that revelation. Apparently one of the strongest Servants in the War had such a crushing weakness this entire time. She pinched the bridge of her nose and sighed in exasperation. Wonderful, as if the crazy things that had been happening weren't enough, she had to go and team up with the one Master-Servant pair who were both idiots when it came to winning this War.
"Alright, well, we'll have to think of something to replenish your prana later, I can think of a couple ways off the top of my head, but I think a Tantric Ritual would be the best."
She looked at the two and saw that Shirou had become a flaming red while Saber had a light blush on his cheeks. She rolled her eyes at the two's modesty. Honestly, one of the first things a magus threw away was modesty. She decided to continue as though she hadn't seen the two's reactions.
"Barring some inexplicable act of Alaya, we'll take care of that a little later on today. Right now we need to decide how we're going to act later on tonight. Once Saber's prana stores are suitably replenished," she ignored their blushes at her mention of this, "we'll need to figure out which Servant poses the most threat. At the moment I'd say it's Berserker, although that golden clad warrior worries me as well."
Both Shirou and Saber nodded at this, but another voice interrupted their musings.
"I personally think it is the Caster-Assassin combo. Especially considering Saber and I have been somehow tagged by Assassin so that he can teleport near us at any time he wishes."
Rin thankfully didn't jump when her Servant appeared by her side, but it was closer than she would have liked. She was somewhat satisfied to see that Shirou didn't have the same mental fortitude as he jerked as soon as her Servant had shown himself. However, it was a short lived joy as what her Servant said sunk in.
"Wait, are you telling me that Assassin could appear at any time and there's nothing we can do about it?"
Archer sardonically smirked at her question.
"I'm saying that's a real possibility, add to that the fact that Caster is damn good with illusions and we have a pretty formidable pair. Caster can trap us in illusions while Assassin slices our throats. After all illusions, teleporting, and Presence Concealment all work in collusion with each other to create quite the terrifying killing machine."
Rin felt like banging her head against the table at her Servant's revelation. So, not only did they have two juggernauts in the War thank to Berserker and the previous Archer, but Caster and Assassin posed more of a threat because of their killing efficiency. Screw it, she let her head drop onto the table and groaned in frustration.
"Damn it, why the hell did I want to fight in this War again?"
Caster was currently walking from the hospital that housed his Master, trying not to scowl. He prided himself on his ability to remain stoic in the face of pretty much any matter, but dealing with his Master was somewhat vexing. He had become a despicable man hell bent on revenge, the problem was that Caster could somewhat sympathize with him. He sighed as he stared up at the sky. The last few days had been a flurry of activity, and tonight it would finally be time to go on the offensive. Assassin and he had to move quickly if they were going to be able to put their plan into action.
They had started the cogs for the plan with the killing of Matou Shinji, but the faster they moved the better. They were now on a time constraint, and Caster didn't want anything to get in the way of their goal.
He glanced over to the tallest tower that was casting its shadow on quite a bit of the city. He briefly activated his Sharingan, but didn't see the red clad Archer atop the building this time. Well, at least he wouldn't have to worry about any long ranged attacks coming from that direction today.
It seemed that he would be able to walk unhindered for once during this War. Just as he felt himself beginning to relax, a familiar voice called out.
"Yo, Itachi."
Berserker watched as Itachi stiffened at the sudden address and he hid a smirk as the stoic Uchiha let out a small sigh. That was akin to pinching his nose in exasperation at the interruption in Uchihaese. However, that wasn't what he was here for at the moment. He decided to keep some of his amused twinkle as the Uchiha turned around to face him, Sharingan activated.
He raised his hands in a gesture of peace.
"I didn't come to fight, a bit crowded for that here anyway."
He made sure to punctuate this with an exaggerated look to all the bystanders who were already taking notice of Berserker and his blond hair blue eyed appearance. Itachi could get away with walking around the masses during the day compared to a lot of other Servants. He looked like the quintessential Japanese person with his dark hair and normally dark eyes. He was also wearing something more muted than his Akatsuki cloak so that probably helped.
"Hn."
There it was, it was always interesting to hear that particular Uchiha grunt. It meant that he had the Uchiha's attention. He inclined his head toward an ally.
"Let's take this talk somewhere else, shall we?"
Itachi seemed to contemplate the pros and cons of going with him, before he gave a slight nod. The two walked into the back alley and then both disappeared in a Shunshin. They reconvened on the top of the tallest tower.
Berserker turned to face Itachi as soon as they had both arrived. He studied the former Akatuski for a moment before deciding that he would be taking a somewhat blunt approach.
"I'm positive you and my dad are planning something rather drastic. I don't know what it is, but I think I'd be able to help you guys out. What do you say about forming an alliance?"
Itachi seemed to be somewhat puzzled by the request. However, if there was one thing that Berserker had prided himself on learning in his later years, it was patience. He could wait for the Uchiha to weigh the pros and cons of an alliance inside of his head.
"This is somewhat surprising, Naruto-kun, although not entirely unexpected. However, we weren't planning on you to go berserk last night either. Perhaps this has sped up our scenario that we have planned."
Berserker grinned at that. Well, at least he knew that those two were planning something. Wait. Those two as in Uchiha Itachi and Namikaze Minato, two of Konoha's greatest genius Shinobi, were planning something. Well, now he definitely needed to get in on the plan. He could probably take on one or the other in single combat, but the two together was kind of terrifying. He'd rather not have to tango with the two if he didn't have to.
It was another moment or two before Itachi deigned to answer.
"I think that if you survive the coming night, we might be ready to reveal some facts to you Naruto-kun."
Berserker frowned at that, but he nodded his head cordially.
"Well, I suppose that's better than a flat out no, tell me, are you planning to attack me tonight?"
He wasn't sure if Itachi was going to answer, but the shake of his head was reassuring.
"We have a different goal for tonight, Naruto-kun. It's something that will truly kick off the War for the Grail. After tonight, we'll probably need your strength. There are more forces at work behind the scenes than you know, and one of them is a very powerful Servant, one that may be more than a match for the Hokage-sama and myself."
Berserker inclined his head in understanding. He had a feeling he knew who Itachi was talking about.
"So, you might need my help with good old Goldilocks that I fought last night, huh?"
He could've sworn he saw Itachi's lips flicker upward for a moment into a smile, it seemed that he wasn't as stoic as he would lead the rest of the world to believe after all.
"It's nice to see that you've become more perceptive, Naruto-kun."
Berserker snorted at that. Of course he had had to become perceptive; Hokage weren't just the strongest ninja in their village after all. He had had to make a few mistakes, but he thought he had done pretty well for himself.
"Well, I'll see what goes on tonight, I have a feeling that all the opening salvos have been fired, it's time to get to the real War now."
Itachi inclined his head in agreement before he disappeared in a flurry of crows. Berserker felt an eyebrow twitch, when the hell had he been caught in the genjutsu? Sighing he ran a hand through his hair, it seemed he would have to work with his Master at least for another night, but the betrayal was still fresh so he didn't know what they were going to accomplish. He would just have to hope he didn't die in the process.
Zouken stood in the lengthening shadows of his home. He had been patiently waiting for the night to come, but had also been monitoring the progress of his sole remaining heir. It seemed that her descent was going well. By tomorrow she would be in the place he wished her to be, and his real objective of this Grail War would truly begin.
He chuckled to himself as Lancer appeared in front of him. He had a shrewd idea of what was to come tonight, and so he had decided that he would strike first.
"Lancer."
The blue clad Servant bowed reluctantly to him, but he didn't mind. It was time to sacrifice one of his pawns so that he may gain a much more powerful piece. He would see just how fast that Assassin was.
"I want you to attack the Temple, try to kill both Servants that are holed up there, failing that, at least kill the Assassin, he is more a hindrance than I would like to admit."
He felt some satisfaction as the Servant seemed surprised by his order, but the feral grin that was his response was enough. In a flash the Servant had disappeared and was heading toward the temple to do battle with the Assassin and Caster, who would surely want to defend their territory from Zouken. That would put them in check. Zouken allowed himself a satisfied grin as he shuffled back to his studies. Everything was going according to plan.
Assassin was lounging in the courtyard for a change. He had been awaiting the coming night, but if the presence that he sensed rapidly moving towards the temple was anything to go by, he would be fighting a bit earlier than expected.
Luckily the temple was deserted at this time and his Master had decided to go to a hotel to stay for the duration of the War. She would be back in about an hour though, so he would have to make sure he finished by then.
His course decided, he let a kunai drop into his hand before spinning around and parrying a blood red spear. The two Servants eyed each other for a moment before the Lancer sprang back nimbly, landing light footed on top of a torii.
Assassin gazed at the man calmly, it had been a mistake to attack him in his own territory. His Reality Marble was incredibly short lived, but that didn't mean he couldn't set his own tags. Fighting him here at the temple was akin to suicide to any Servant.
In a flash he was behind Lancer, his kunai glinting as he swung downward, but he was surprised. The Lancer seemed to have sensed his presence and had been able to block at the last second. Well, this Lancer must have amazing Agility to be able to keep up with him.
They traded a few more blows before Lancer once more sprang back. The blue clad Servant flipped gracefully and landed near where Assassin's starting point had been. A blood thirsty grin was making its way across the Servant's face.
"Well now, that's not bad. Not bad at all. You're hella fast. Let's see how good you really are shall we?"
Lancer once more took a stance, but this time it seemed more defensive than offensive. Well, if that was what Lancer wanted, Assassin would give the Servant his due. Before Assassin once more engaged the Servant of the Lance, he took a moment to be glad that Itachi was already beginning a mission of his own.
Caster stood in the rapidly darkening streets just outside the bounded fields that surrounded the home. He would be facing off against a difficult opponent and had no desire to announce his presence beforehand. He was quite keen on making sure that their battle stayed within the dark of night. Already the streets had emptied of people, so that he was the only person that still stood in the street.
At last the sun disappeared and night engulfed the neighborhood. For a moment nothing happened, and then two figures walked out into the rapidly rising moonlight. Well he supposed it was time to announce his presence, although this battle would prove supremely difficult for him, it was necessary. He had to make sure to lock down this Servant.
"Hello, Archer. It's a beautiful night."
You know what, I think I'll stop it there. Sorry this took forever and a day to get out for you guys, I have been crazy busy during this new year. My job has been picking up, I've been writing an original work that I'm attempting to publish, and I also joined a writing group! So yeah, if you're interest in the stuff I've written for them, it's a writing group called Team Dragon Star. I've only got one one-shot so far, which was pretty much my induction. It's called The Rabbit Hole and I quite like it, if only because I actually had someone beta the damn thing before we published it. Check it out and review if you would, also check out their other stories, they have over a hundred and a few are quite good, I'll leave a link to my story and a link to their author page in my profile. Yeah, good old shameless promo completed, gonna talk a little about this chapter now.
So, things are beginning to move in this chapter, in the time span of the next Night chapter I fully intend to have at least one Servant actually fall. The only real death has been Shinji, but now we're gonna be killing people left and right. It's a Fate work so what did you expect? Who will die in this coming night? Good luck guessing, I might tell you if you're correct, but then again I might not, it's always fun to see guesses.
I actually quite like this chapter, and the part I liked the most was actually Sakura, her character was much more fun to write than I had expected, but I think that happened in my Zero fic as well, which I should be updating within the next week. I also have a goal for myself to get this little fic here to 100,000 words and 1,000 reviews before it hits its one year anniversary, so be on the lookout for quite a few updates between now and late April, currently I think I'm just shy of 80k and am a little over 750 for reviews. Ah, it still boggles the mind anytime I go to this fanfic section and see that I'm on top, who woulda thought. So yeah, that's about it, go to Team Dragon Star, seriously. Be on the lookout for more chaps for this fic and my others. I have a beta, sorta, but they show up once in a blue moon so this is still unbetaed. Onto my usual spiel.
Like I said, unbetaed so grammar, typos, and the like are because of that. Questions, Comments, Concerns? PM me! Want to know more about Team Dragon Star? PM me! Know a beta or wanna beta? PM me! Please leave a review on your way out if you feel so inclined. Onto the Disclaimer, because that is how I roll!
Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto or Fate/Stay Night. They belong to Kishimoto Masashi and Type-Moon respectively. Please support the official release!
P.S. Assassin stat? What Assassin stat? Oh god damn it! I will get that bastard by next chapter, this I swear!
P.S.S. Also, I made another fic called the Tale of the Gallant Familiar, if you have the time and urge please read a review there. I think that's all RedhathackerSin out!
