Chapter 12

Inuyasha and Kagome

The next morning as dark brown eyes fluttered from the stream of sunlight peeking through the window of Inuyasha and Kagome's hut, an arm tightened protectively around the waist of the dark brown eyes' owner.

Kagome's head gently turned to face that of her husband's as her eyes looked at his peaceful lightly tanned face, his purple jagged demonic marks on his cheek as his mokomoko-sama brushed against Kagome's cheek, causing her to giggle lightly.

"Inu-koi, I know you're awake if your fur is any indication," Kagome whispered as she nuzzled her face against his cheek gently.

Inuyasha opened his eyes to reveal his golden amber eyes to stare deeply into Kagome's dark brown eyes.

She slowly placed her left hand on his right cheek and smiled softly.

"We should get ready," Kagome mumbled as Inuyasha's arm pulled her closer.

Sesshomaru

Sesshomaru had already gotten up and went to purchase a few new kimonos and demon silk kimonos. He dropped off a red kimono with purple flowers off to Kaede's for his beloved Rin. He gave a package of purple and blue demon silk kimonos for Inuyasha as he has always been a royal Inu, white, yellow, dark blue and purple feminine kimonos for Kagome to Kage, who was happy to bring the clothing over to his mistress and her mate's room.

After that, he was left with a soft pink kimono and walked to where Emiko was last seen by him, Inuyasha and Kagome last night.

Emiko

That morning, Emiko slowly opened her eyes to reveal dark amber eyes and began to stretch as she stood up.

She smiled at the light snoring she heard from her head, knowing Tatsuya found his way up onto her head to sleep once again.

"Tatsuya," Emiko whispered as she rubbed the small dragon's belly to try and wake him up.

It took a while until the small dragon finally opened his eyes and flapped his wings tiredly to go back to sleep in Emiko's arms.

"Poor guy, you aren't used to being so far from the dragonlands either….I hope big brother Ryu is okay though," Emiko mumbled softly.

As Emiko stood up, she noticed Sesshomaru heading towards her with a soft pink kimino.

"Lord Sesshomaru, good morning," Emiko greeted with a smile.

"Morning," Sesshomaru greeted as he handed her the kimono, "For you to wear if you wish to."

"Thank you Lord Sesshomaru," Emiko said as she took the kimono then gently nudged Tatsuya with one hand so she doesn't get her new kimono dirty.

"After you are finished, my brother and dear sister would like to head to the dragon lands to meet this Lord Ryu," Sesshomaru stated, which Emiko nodded in agreement.

"That's fine. I'm sure Tatsuya would love to be home just as much as Ryu-nii-sama would like to meet those tied to my fate," Emiko stated as she decided to just push the tiny dragon off her head, causing Tatsuya to screech and flap his wings.

"What was that for?" Tatsuya asked annoyed and tired still.

"You would not wake up and I'd like to change," Emiko said as she headed towards a secluded area to hopefully wash and get changed.

Without Emiko, Tatsuya and Sesshomaru fell into a deep silence that caused the young dragon to be a bit uncomfortable near a dog demon with that strong of an aura.

Inuyasha, Kagome, Kage, Half of the Soul Collectors

After they had finished bathing and getting ready for the day, Inuyasha and Kagome started to head towards where they last seen Emiko with Sesshomaru.

Kage and the Soul collectors followed the pair in a protective manner, make sure they kept Kagome safe in any way that they can.

Knowing not to refuse the extra protection, especially when her mate insists on it, Kagome let the soul collectors and Kage do what they need to do in order to keep her as safe as possible.

"Inuyasha," Kagome called gently, her hand lightly holding onto her arm.

"What is it, koi?" Inuyasha answered as he turned his amber golden gaze towards her.

"What do you think we will expect in the dragon lands? After all, you have fought one of their kind even though he was Gifu's enemy and caused his death," Kagome couldn't help but ask since she didn't want any conflicted between her Inus and the Dragon land.

Inuyasha was silent as he was not sure of what to answer the question.

"We will have to discuss this with Sesshomaru since he's the Lord of the Western Lands and I'm sure he would like to have no more trouble from dragons," Inuyasha decided to answer as he was unsure himself on how to answer his mate's question.

Kagome nodded as she decided that was a better answer than she could have hoped for.

They continued their walk till they came across Sesshomaru and Tatsuya, waiting patiently and in an uncomfortable silence.

"Onii-sama," Kagome called gently for Sesshomaru, who turned his gaze to her and smiled gently.

"Little Star," Sesshomaru greeted softly as he held his hand out to her, but not coming close in case Inuyasha doesn't want her near other males.

Inuyasha walked over to Sesshomaru and gently took Kagome's hand from his arm and placed her hand in Sesshomaru, to show that he trusts Sesshomaru with his mate's safety.

Sesshomaru gently placed Kagome's hand in the crook of his arm as Kage stood in front of her in a protective manner and the soul collectors that had stayed with her swirled above her.

Tatsuya stared at them with Inuyasha on Kagome's right and Sesshomaru on her left in a protective manner with Kage in front of her in and the soul collectors above her.

'Inu Alphas protecting the Female Alpha of their pack, a sight that Emiko must have seen through the Kami's gift to her as a baby,' Tatsuya thought as he slowly bowed to them in respect, his small wings flapping gently.

"Tatsuya," Kagome called gently and Tatsuya gave her his attention, knowing it would be rude to her if he didn't.

"Why did she come here?" Kagome asked gently as she wanted to know more about Emiko.

"She was sent here by the Inu-Kami. Emiko has been gifted since she was a small hatchling, at least that is what Ryuu-sama had said when he brought her to the dragon lands to live among the dragons," Tatsuya stated.

"A gift sent from the Inu-Kami, huh," Kagome mumbled as she gently gave Kage a gentle pet, causing the shadow dog to give a rumbling purr in contentment.

Emiko had finally come back, wearing the kimono that Sesshomaru had given to her.

"What is your decision?" Emiko asked softly as she looked at the three of them.

"We will go with you to the dragon lands, only if someone from the dragon lands comes to protect our village in return," Inuyasha stated as he will not allow his village to go without protection.

Emiko looked at Tatsuya, who nodded his head.

"I will send Tatsuya to Ryuu-onii-sama and he shall bring someone trustworthy to protect these lands," Emiko stated as she kissed Tatsuya's forehead gently.

Kagome's eyes looked at the little dragon as she held her hands out for him as well.

Tatusya, confused, flew into the alpha female's and gasped in surprise when he received a blessing kiss on his forehead from her as well.

"Please be quick as you can," Kagome mumbled and watched Tatsuya flew back to the dragon lands.

She turned her gaze towards the soul collectors and smiled gently.

"Please follow him and keep him safe. I'd be upset if something happened to the young dragon," Kagome stated gently and watched the soul collectors follow Tatsuya to protect him by the orders of their new mistress.

"Kagome," Inuyasha mumbled.

Kagome looked at him and placed a calming hand on his cheek.

"I just feel like he is also pack now. Would it be wrong to want his protection?" Kagome asked gently.

Inuyasha couldn't resist his mate's reasoning or her pure heart as he placed his clawed hand over hers and gave it a gentle kiss.

Emiko watched the alpha male within Inuyasha give affection towards his mate with a gentle smile as she turned her gaze to the sky, knowing that the Inu-Kami watches over them all.

"My daughters are together with two of my most precious children," Inu-Kami stated before he looked at Toga and Izayoi.

"What will you do?" Izayoi asked as she looked at her son who was becoming a daihanyou more and more every day.

"It will happen as soon as their journey has happened," Inu-kami stated as he watched with a fanged smile.

Toga and Izayoi gently bowed towards him in respect.

'More of my beloved children will join them on this journey,' Inu-Kami thought.

Inuyasha, Kagome, Sesshomaru, Emiko

Kagome and Inuyasha decided to spend time with Miroku and Sango before they had to go on their journey. They even decided to bring Shippo along during this trip as they don't want him to think they had abandoned him.

"We will keep this village safe until you return," Miroku stated, with Sango nodding in agreement.

"Thank you, my beta-male," Inuyasha mumbled as he shook hands with Miroku while Sango and Kagome gave one another a hug.

Kagome turned her gaze towards where Sesshomaru waited outside and decided to go out there to give him company.

Sesshomaru turned his gaze over to Kagome and nodded his head slightly as Kagome placed her hand on his arm.

"What is it, Little Star?" Sesshomaru asked, wanting to know why his brother's mate would leave his side for a while.

"One day, he will become as your father had," Kagome stated, her eyes looking up at the stars.

"Inuyasha will become like father?" Sesshomaru was confused as he was sure not many half-demons will become daihanyous.

"He will inherit his form," Kagome mumbled as if she was given sight.

The story is now taking a different path than how another story had but that is to be expected as Kagome will not pupped for a bit longer.
