No reviews? Makes me sad. Please let me know what you think. Good, bad, anything.
Corey couldn't believe it. That bitch. What did she want from him? Laura was the last person he wanted to see ever again. But that sick plan that Bray had obviously explained to Punk sounded just like her. Who knew, maybe she needed money again. The more he thought about it the more he seethed. His thoughts switched from one snake to the other. Wyatt was crushing on his girlfriend. Corey would rip Bray's hands off if he ever touched Maja. He pushed a hand trough his hair when Punk interrupted his thoughts.
"I know that is bad. But seriously. It's gonna be alright. She loves you. You're gonna work through that storm. What are you gonna do now?"
"I don't know. I'm so fucking angry. I feel like I need to kill someone. Preferably a bitch or a lunatic. I just can't believe it. I don't even want to think about what their sick minds could come up with to break us up." Corey sighed.
"Maybe you need to face this head on? Talk to Wyatt." Punk suggested carefully.
"Are you kidding me? I'm gonna do a lot to him, but talking is not on my list!"
"Calm down. That is your only chance to find out what's gonna happen." Punk tried to reason.
Corey sighed again. "I know."
Punk clapped Corey's shoulder. "Come on. Let's get back to your girl. We'll think of something."
Together they went back to Maja's room, where Corey's princess lay as if she hadn't even moved since they left. Both men sat down and talked quietly until Punk announced his departure. Some time later Maja finally started to come around. She smiled softly when she saw Corey sleeping on his chair next to her bed. She stroked his hair softly, effectively waking him up.
"Hey princess. You're awake. How are you feeling?" He asked softly.
"I feel better. That nap was a good thing." Maja smiled softly at Corey. She always felt much better when he was around.
Corey informed the nurse that Maja was awake. Some tests were run and the responsible doctor informed the couple that Maja would have to stay the night, just to be sure. After the medical staff left, the couple talked some more. Corey told Maja a part of the information he got from Punk, carefully editing out the part of his ex and her crazy stalker. He didn't want to worry her. She needed rest. Maja reacted rather calm and told him that she would be more careful from now on. They stayed silent after that, each lost in their own thoughts. After some time Corey finally spoke up.
"I'm gonna call Dusty and Jake. I'm not going to the University tomorrow." He made to get up when Maja gently touched his arm.
"Why? You don't have to do that. I don't need a babysitter. I'm fine here. You go and train tomorrow, champ." She ordered him softly.
"But-"
"No buts. I'll be fine. How about we have dinner at mine tomorrow night? You can come over and see that I haven't fallen off the surface of the earth in your absence." She smiled at him, knowing he couldn't say no now.
"If that's what you really want." Corey finally gave in.
"Good boy. Now would you mind getting me some food? Preferably Chinese. I'm not too keen on the hospital food they'll surely try to force on me later."
Again Corey gave in. He just couldn't deny her anything when she looked at him with those big eyes. After he got her food and ate dinner with her, Corey reluctantly left with the promise of dinner the next day.
When Corey entered the University the next day he was extremely tense. Everyone he met asked about Maja's well-being. He didn't care about pleasantries though. He had to find Wyatt. Corey found him near the tech-room he and Punk had found Maja in. Bray was talking on the phone, the situation similar to last night.
Corey immediately stormed towards Bray.
"Is that the bitch?" He snarled pointing towards the phone in Bray's hand.
Bray wordlessly handed over his phone to Corey, smiling creepily. Corey took it and immediately started to yell.
"You crazy bitch. Who the hell to you think you are interfering in my life like that? Haven't you done enough to make my life miserable? What more do you want, huh?"
"It's nice to hear from you again, too, Corey." Laura's cold voice rang through the speaker. "I missed you terribly and I have a little surprise for you. Why don't I come over and show you, hm? How does that sound?" she asked with fake sweetness.
"I don't want you anywhere near me or my girlfriend. Go back to the hellhole you crawled out of." He sighed loudly and tried again, more calmly this time. "There's nothing here for you to gain."
"You don't know what you're talking about babe. I'm coming over and then we can talk some more." Before Corey could object she had already ended the call. Now he was even more frustrated. He didn't want to see her, but he needed answers. She had to see reason at some point, right?
Meanwhile Maja had been medically cleared to leave the hospital under the condition that she'd keep it easy the next few days. That was a promise she had no problem making. She felt like she'd been hit by a truck. When she had looked into the mirror that morning she had almost died there on the spot. She had a fully developed shiner and looked like some wannabe-boxer. Luckily Paige had come over this morning to bring Maja some fresh clothes. The first thing she requested was her make-up and sunglasses to which Paige laughed heartily. When Maja had signed her release papers she made her way over to Paige's car and the two of them were on their way.
About half an hour after Corey's talk with Laura ended, said woman made her way through the University, but she wasn't alone. Of course she had kept her promise and brought a surprise for Corey. She found an old friend of hers and decided to go talk to Corey alone first before bringing in their surprise guest. Laura told her friend to stay nearby so she wouldn't have to go looking for the two of them.
Corey just came back from lunch when someone bumped into him. He looked down and was shocked to see his ex looking up at him through eyes he once found as beautiful as stars. She had cut her hair. It was now just below her shoulders. Before he could muse more about her outer appearance she slowly pulled out of his grip.
"Nice to see you're so eager to have me back in your arms." She smiled seductively.
"Get to the point, what do you want?"
"I want you back. Corey, I was young and so stupid. I've missed you ever since we broke up. No one will ever be as good for me as you. Nobody knows me so well. Please, Cor, give us another chance."
"I don't know you. Never have. And there is no us. I'm happy and there's nothing you can do about it."
Laura leaned into Corey, who was leaning against the wall, and smiled coyly at him. "But babe, don't you remember how good we were together? How good I made you feel?" She had a faraway look in her eyes now as she leaned up. Her lips almost touched his by now. "I love you, Cor."
He was surprised to find that those words had no effect on him anymore, not from her anyway. Not even his body reacted to her proximity. Sure, she was still a breathtakingly beautiful woman, but to him she wasn't THE woman anymore. No other could rival his girl. He figured he'd just let her say her piece and then tell her clearly that there was no future for them.
When Corey didn't react at all Laura sighed exaggeratedly and got back down on her feet. "Alright. I didn't want to do it that way but you are giving me no other choice." While Corey looked confused she turned around and loudly said:
"Tom, would you please bring her in?"
As soon as the words had left her mouth, a guy from the backstage staff came around the corner with a buggy. Inside sat a beautiful baby girl in a soft pink romper suit with cold grey eyes and a little light brown hair.
"Thanks Tom." Laura said as she took over the buggy the stand beside Corey.
"Corey, meet your daughter Amelia."
