A.N Soooo. Um hello guys. Hehe. *dodges thrown projectiles* well this isn't long, it isn't great, but good news. I was going to kill Stoick. Do you know how many of you wanted that? None. Then I got to thinking, Stoick is better off alive and so is Hiccup. Hiccup can in no realistic (yes realism in the realm of dragons and Vikings) way become Chief and he still needs to learn some things about being human. So yay Stoick lives another day. But we have the end of the best fight. So don't kill me for taking so long please.

Disclaimer: Do I really have to put this here? I mean no one thinks I own HTTYD do they?

Chp 13

Hiccup couldn't see, he couldn't feel, he couldn't think. For what felt like an eternity he just simply was, fighting in the black void that was the foreign call. Then something happened, something knocked him back to reality.

"Stoick!" Valka ran to the fallen form of her husband.

"Stoick." Hiccup stared in confusion.

"Strange, what chief would risk his life for a stranger? Unless you're more than you seem."

Hiccup growled.

"Stoick is not just some Chief. He taught me some important things, things that you will be glad he did. Because right now I don't feel very human, but he taught me how to be one." Hiccup stood, his eyesight still blurred. Drago just smirked. Hiccup felt the call fall off of him, then felt it turn to his nest.

"Leave them alone!" Drago laughed and Hiccup saw his partner fall.

"Toothless!" Before he knew it, his partner, his nest, his family was gone. Silence was deafening.

"Hiccup." Valka stared at her broken son, watching him fall to his knees.

"Gone. They're all gone. My King, my Partner, my nest, I've failed." He hung his head in despair.

"Hiccup." They all gasped and turned, there sat Stoick, bleeding but alive.

"Why?" Hiccup's voice broke, but the question was laced with confusion.

"Why?"

"Why did you jump in front of me? I am not you, I am no Viking."

"You are no Viking that is correct, but you are my son. And as your father I'm gonna give you some advice. Stop fighting like a dragon."

"I am-"

"No. You're not a dragon, you are a human with dragon qualities. That heart of your's, that's human. So start fighting like one, that's why Drago won't expect."

Hiccup closed his eyes in thought.

"My trials are not yet over. I've lost almost everything, but the Alpha's blood is in me. If there is something I've learned about humans, it's that you never give up. So I will keep fighting, until my nest is mine again." He stood and to the shock of everyone left on the island, he roared.

"Do you know who doesn't listen to the Alpha?"

"Who?" Astrid glanced at his smirk. This was not going to be good, not at all.

"The babies."
