"What?" Jack said hesitantly, as he quickly got up from his current position with Kim. He stood up and opened the pot that let out a magical smell of Fox Stew.
"Please Jack, will you? I desperately need someone with those skills to teach me!" Kim said standing up from her position as well, she took a step forward to that Jack couldn't do anything but look at her pleading face.
"Why do you need lessons?" Jack said curiously, ever since the incident with Rose, Kim has been acting distracted. As if she is eager for something to happen. But Jack didn't know what.
Kim face suddenly lost its colour and she became nervous. She took a step back and looked at the ground while biting her lip. She was trying to figure out a way to get herself out of the question. She didn't want to tell Jack about werewolves roaming around Seaford. She was afraid if she did tell him, he wouldn't like the town anymore and he will leave. Leave her.
"I can't tell you, it's umm. Personal" She said uncertainly. Kim walked around the tiny couch and made a trail towards the corner a wooden stool chair, grabbed two bowls for the two of them. Both of the bowls were filled with water that came from the leaks in the roof.
Jack watched her as she grabbed the two bowls and walked over towards two barrels that were filled up with water, and then poured the water from the bowls into one of the barrels. Kim walked back to Jack and leaned over and picked up the big pot with the Fox Stew in it, then poured it in to both of the bowls.
"Where is Rose?" Jack said as Kim gave him one bowl. He sat down as well as Kim.
"She is with Jerry, having another play date with Pepito" And with that Kim lifted up her bowl up to her mouth and took a sip once she was finished she gazed upon Jack. "Aren't you going to have some? You made it after all. You deserve it" Kim said kindly when she noticed jack look awkwardly at his bowl.
Jack smiled kindly at Kim and began to eat his meal.
Jack started to think, should he help Kim? Jack knew how to hunt, both wolf ways and human hunting. But he didn't want Kim to become obsessed with going into the woods every night just to hunt; Only Jack had experienced what was out there in the woods.
"So Jack, will you please teach me?" Kim asked.
Jack was just about to refuse, but then he looked up and saw Kim's face: Her eyes filled with hope, biting her lip in anxiety and holding her hands together as if she was praying for him to say yes. Jack sighed. Whatever Kim was up to, it seemed important to her.
"Kim." Jack started with a stern voice. Kim's eyes widened with anticipation. "Whatever makes you happy, I will do it for you" Jack said with a smile on his face.
Kim squealed with excitement and jumped on top of him. Both of her legs were on both sides of Jack and her hands were wrapped around his neck as she squealed. Jack chuckled and hugged her waist
"Thank you so much Jack! Thank you, thank you, and thank you!" Kim laughed; she jumped off him and started dancing around the room.
Jack started laughing at her horrible dancing, as he sat there admiring her. He decided that he would do anything to see her like this again. He would love to see that smile on her face every day for the rest of his life.
Whatever she wanted, he would walk through hell just to give it to her.
The next day, Kim woke up to tiny footsteps of birds walking along her rooftop. Her eyes fluttered opened and she smiled. Today was the day. Today Jack was going to teach her how to hunt. She jumped out the bed with a squeal, knowing that her sister wasn't home.
Kim started singing happily as she got ready for the day. She put her hair up in to a light bun and the clothes she wore the previous day. She grabbed her bag and walked out of the house on her way to Jerry's house to say hello to her sister but most importantly talk to Jack.
As she walked out, she noticed how gloomy the sky looked, she felt odd because it didn't suit her happy mood at all. Kim shrugged it off and started walking towards Jerry's.
Once she got to Jerry's, she knocked on the door so hard, she felt as if her knuckles were bruising she was so eager to talk to jack, when someone opened the door, she ran in straight away and leaned against the staircase while bouncing on one leg.
"Kim what are you doing here?" Jack said with a smile when he saw Kim.
Kim walked up to him and held both his hands with her own. "I just wanted to say thank you so much for doing this, it means a lot to me." She said sincerely.
Jack smiled down at her. "Just like I said yesterday, whatever makes you happy, I will do it for you" He gathered her up in his arms and hugged her lightly into his chest. Kim giggled and snuggled in to his neck.
"Kim?" They both broke away from the hug but kept their hand linked together. They looked to their side to see Ms Martinez looking at them in shock. "Kim can I talk to you for a moment, alone" She demanded.
Kim nodded with a smile and let go of Jacks hand, she turned her head to the side to see Jack giving her a boyish smile. She smiled back sweetly before walking around the corner, where Ms Martinez was.
"What did you want to talk about Ms Martinez?" Kim asked.
"Kim I'm telling you now, stay away from that boy. Stay away from Jack!" She answered back desperately.
"What's wrong with him?" Kim said getting angry, how dare she insult someone she knew nothing about, Jack was the sweetest boy Kim has ever met.
"His dangerous, if you knew what his history you would hate him! Just stay away before you get hurt" Ms Martinez warned her.
"Well guess what Ms Martinez. I have already fallen too hard for him to stay away from him" Kim admitted, she walked out of the room and back to where Jack was waiting for her.
"Hey lets go out today, you and me" Kim said with a smile as she grabbed one of Jacks hands.
Jack looked at their intertwined hands with a smile on his face. "I would love to"
And with that, the both of them walked out of the house.
Together.
