Hi!

So school is coming up! So please review and let me know what you want Bella and the gang to do! Or just to tell me hello! ;)

SM still owns everything except Nancy and Angels of Twilight still rocks!

After looking at how Alice had organized my closet, I went downstairs to make something for dinner. Charlie wasn't back from work yet, and that was a bit odd. He should have been back an hour ago, but I guess he was staying a bit late. I was going to call him and ask him what he wanted for dinner when I heard his car outside. I ran to the entrance and waited for him to come in.

"Hey, Charlie!"

"Bells, don't get mad, okay?"

"What are you . . ."

"Charlie, can you help me with this bag please?" Oh no! I knew that voice. The door opened and I saw her standing by the door with her signature bright pink coat.

"Oh . . . Hi, Nana. When did you get here?"

"Well, hello, Isabella. I didn't know you were here. Charlie just picked me up at the airport."

"Yeah, I might have forgotten to mention that."

"You forgot to mention that I was living with you, Charlie? Or the fact that she was coming?"

"Well, yes . . . I mean no . . . gah, I mean, I forgot to mention to Nancy that you were here because I knew she wouldn't come if she did. And I didn't tell you she was coming because there was a big chance she wouldn't in the first place."

"How long have you been here, Isabella?"

"I have been here for a week."

"How long are you staying?"

"I don't really know."

"She's staying until she graduates high school."

"What are you talking about, Charlie? Isabella does not go to school, and she can't stay here until then. Her birthday is coming up in a few months. She might not even make it after that."

"Look, we have talked about this many times. There is no way Bella is going to die on her eighteenth birthday. She will not choose the wrong side, I just know she won't. So next time you feel like mentioning it again . . . just don't." I didn't know what I was expecting from Charlie, but it definitely wasn't this. I knew he thought I was pure good, but to actually hear him defend me, and to my Nana, that was just extraordinary.

"It's okay, Charlie. She's just stating the possibilities. We both know that might happen. I am trying really hard to make sure that doesn't come true, but it could happen."

"She's right, Charlie. It does her no good to leave her unprepared for that. She has to know what the consequences for both choices are. And as much as I want to believe she will choose good, we just never know what will happen on that day. I'm sorry for being so bold about it, but it's the only way to prepare not only her, but ourselves, too."

"Okay, changing topics now. Why are you here, Nana?"

"Can't I visit my boyfriend every now and then?"

"Your what?" I could feel my mouth hit the floor with shock. I mean, I knew they had a thing for each other for a long time now, but I always thought they would never really go for it.

"That might have been another thing I forgot to mention, Bells. Sorry."

"Are you kidding me? Why are you apologizing? I've been waiting for you two knuckle heads to get together for the longest time now."

"Trust me, not longer than me. I was seriously thinking I was going to have to ask him out."

"Ah, this is great! Congratulations!" I ran up to my Nana and gave her a hug. They were perfect for each other. The only reason they had stayed away from each other so long was because Nancy was going through a divorce. When the divorce was over, she became my Nana and didn't want people to think she was only using her job as my caretaker to get close to him. But now that she was officially no longer my Nana, they had no reason to be together at last.

"So, Charlie, why did you think I would be mad?"

"Well, first of all because I didn't tell you she was coming, and second of all for not telling you about our . . . relationship status."

"I figured you had some sort of friendship with a woman." He gave me a skeptical look, and I just laughed. "I mean, come on, Charlie. You expect me to believe that a single man keeps a house immaculately clean and keeps a kitchen well stocked when he can't even make anything other than eggs? Yeah, right. Good luck with that."

"Hey, I know how to cook. I just don't like to."

"Oh, hush, Charles. We both know you can't cook to save your life."

"Ha, see? Even my Nana knows it."

"Can you two stop picking on me now? Okay, fine, I'll admit I can't cook or keep a house clean, but honesty, do you have to make fun of it? Why don't I just go help Nancy put her stuff in her room and you can go order pizza."

As Charlie went to help my Nana set up in her room, I went to the kitchen and ordered pizza. I waited for them to come down. The pizza had arrived, and Charlie and Nancy were still not down. For a brief second, I thought I should go and tell them the food was here, but then I thought better and decided it was a bad idea. I decided to just eat alone and let them come get the food whenever they were done doing whatever they were doing.

After a while, I got bored, so I went up to my room and called it a night. I woke up the next morning around seven. I went to the bathroom and got ready for the day. As I walked downstairs, I saw Charlie heading for the door.

"Good morning, Charlie. Leaving already?"

"Morning, Bells. Yeah, I have to be at work by seven thirty. Hey, do me a favor and remind your Nana that you have to go get signed up for school. I was going to do it, but she told me she would take you. Any problems just call me at work, okay?"

"Yeah, I'll remind her. Does that mean I start school today or tomorrow?"

"Tomorrow. It might take a while to get everything done today. Well, I have to go now. I'll see you tonight."

After Charlie left, I went to the kitchen and got some cereal. After I was done with breakfast, I went into Charlie's study and looked through his books. I lost track of time in there, and by the time I realized, it was already eleven thirty.

"Isabella, hurry up. We are late," I heard my Nana scream from downstairs.

"How long have you been up, Nana?"

"Twenty minutes. Now hurry and get in the car, we have to go sign you up for classes. Why didn't you wake me up? Oh, gosh, Charlie is going to be so upset if I don't sign you up today."

"Calm down. I didn't wake you up because I lost track of time in the study. Sorry."

Nancy spent the entire car ride complaining about being late and going over the list of things she had to bring.

"How did you get all of these papers, anyway?"

"Oh, one of Charlie's friends got them for him."

"Well, they are really good," she said as she parked in front of a small building with a sign that said "Front Office." The entire school was made up of small buildings. It was not what I was expecting the school to look like, but I'd never been to a school before, so what did I know.

"Nana, what are you supposed to be?"

"What do you mean?"

"Well, what are you going to tell them that you are to me? Why would Charlie send you instead of him coming himself?"

"I'm your aunt, and I am you other legal guardian besides Charlie. That's the story, so stick with it."

"Father or mother's side?"

"Mother's, unfortunately."

With that, we both walked inside a small, brightly lit office with a small waiting area with padded folding chairs and a very average commercial carpet. Notices and awards cluttered the walls, a big clock ticking loudly, and plants were all over in plastic pots. The room was cut in half by a long counter, cluttered with baskets full of paper and colored flyers. Behind the counter were three desk. The one in the middle was manned by a large, red-haired woman with glasses.

The woman looked up. "Hi, can I help you?"

My Nana went up to the counter and pulled out a folder from her purse. "Hi, I'm Nancy Dwyer, and this is my niece Isabella Swan. We are here to sign her up for classes."

"Of course. Please come with me so you can speak with the principal, and we can sign her up. I'm Mrs. Cope, by the way."

"Stay out here, Isabella. I'll call for you if you are needed."

With that, they both went into a room in the back of the office. I sat there for about ten minutes, completely alone and bored out of my mind. I even started counting the leaves of a plant, at one point. I was just about to go completely crazy when I felt my phone vibrate. I took it out of my pocket to see a text from Edward.

Hey, how's everything going? –E

I don't know. I'm in the office waiting. :( —B

Who is the woman with you? I though Charlie was coming with you. –E

Are you spying on me, Mr. Cullen? Kidding :P It's my Nana. Charlie couldn't come, so he asked her to come sign me up. She's pretending to be my aunt. –B

I don't know why it made me feel better knowing that he was looking after me, even if he was spying.

I'm not spying! I was just making sure everything was going well. I was expecting you to come earlier and maybe start school today instead of tomorrow. –E

Over the past week, Edward and I have been getting really close. I could honestly say he was a really good friend. Every time we had our piano lessons, we played for a few minutes and spent most of the time talking.

Why didn't you ask Alice, genius? She would have told you I wasn't starting today. I'm starting tomorrow, but you won't be here then. She told us that already! –B

Can't blame a guy for hoping. ;P –E

Shouldn't you be paying attention to class right now? –B

I can do both with no problem. Plus, it's really boring. I wanted someone to entertain me. –E

What am I, your personal clown? –B

No, just the closest thing I have. –E

That was cold, Cullen. And here I am trying to distract you from your boring class. I should just stop texting you! –B

Please don't! I was joking. You are nothing like a clown. –E

Of course I'm not. And if you wanted a clown, I believe you want to talk to Emmet. –B

Ha, very true! It looks like our time is up, anyways. They are coming out of the office already. –E

Oh, okay. Hey, you all should come to my house after school so I can introduce you to Nancy :) –B

Okay, I'll tell everyone. See you then! –E

I put the phone in my pocket right as Nancy walked out with Mrs. Cope, who was still talking away.

"So all she needs to do is come here tomorrow morning for her schedule and have all those papers signed by both you and Mr. Swan, and we should be good to go."

"Sounds fine. I'll have her here tomorrow, then. Thank you for all of your help. Come, Isabella, we are done now." With that, she walked out of the office. I turned around and waved goodbye to Mrs. Cope before I followed my Nana outside. She was already waiting for me in the car.

"That woman had the nerve to ask me if Charlie was seeing anyone. She was so obnoxious. I never want to see her again. She was lucky I didn't slap her in front of her boss."

"Is someone jealous? You know she has nothing on you, right?"

"I know, but it's still irritating. Here are all of your papers. You have to go there tomorrow morning to get you schedule, and after that, just go to your classes."

On our way back, I told her the Cullens were coming over, and she got really excited because she had always wanted to meet them. But for some odd reason, every time she came, she never got to meet them. When we got home, Nancy made some lunch and we cleaned the kitchen after we ate. We were just finishing when we heard the doorbell. I ran to go open the door with my Nana behind me.

Once the Cullens entered, I gave them all a hug and introduced them to my Nana. She and Esme hit it off right away. They talked nonstop while everyone else just tried to get a word in every now and then. It was around six when they left. They were going hunting all of the next day, but they wished me luck on my first day of school. Alice made me promise to tell her every single detail of my first day tomorrow night, and Esme and Rosalie agreed with her. Nancy and Esme made plans to go shopping together, and then they all left.

An hour later, Charlie got home, and while my Nana told him all about today, I went upstairs to get everything ready for the upcoming day. I decided to go to sleep early, so I took my favorite pajamas out and went to take a shower. After that, I went to bed, anxiously waiting my first day of schoo.
