Leah had no idea what was going on or where she was being taken thanks to the blindfold over her eyes. Her hands were bound behind her back and she could tell she was in some sort of vehicle with the Volturi, or a least the three leaders and the main guard members, from the smell. There were no other clues to what was going and Leah was scared. Of course she wouldn't show it because she was Leah Clearwater the tough she-wolf, but deep down she happened to be terrified. What was happening? Had they decided to finish her off? Did they want to take her somewhere Vladmir and the others would never find her? Leah hated it when she had no idea what was happening around her because it made her feel weak and Leah prided herself on being strong. After losing her father and losing Sam to her cousin, she had voiced to never again let weakness overtake her.
"Marcus," She heard Aro from somewhere in the front of the vehicle. "We will be arriving at our destination soon and I think you should leave a few fresh marks on the mutt, don't you agree? The Romanians need to be reminded of who they are messing with. Vladmir thinks he can intimidate me? ME? I feel they need a reminded of who I am, of who we are. Feel free to use your creative freedom, but remember, nothing that will permanently damage her."
Before the female shape shifter could even comprehend what he meant, a blinding hot pain took over the top portion of her elbow. She knew this pain well considering it was not the first time she was feeling it. Marcus had bitten her enough to break the skin a tiny bit which allowed some of his venom to enter her body, but not enough to get in to her bloodstream and cause real harm to her, but still enough to hurt. The pain only intensified as he continued to the same thing to different parts of her body and because her body was trying to fight off the effects of the venom, her body tempter was rising to the point it had started to actually boil her blood and organs, but since this was not he first time Leah had gone through this torment, she knew even though it felt as if she were dying, she would survive if only to go through it yet again and then again after that for as long as she was their prisoner.
"Why did you insist we bring her along brother?" Caius spoke from somewhere close to her. "If the Romanians see her there it's going to set them off. Do you really want a fight right now? I thought we agreed a fight is the last thing we want right now? Aro, if a fight breaks out in such a small area, we run the risk of the shifter getting injured or even killed and as much as I would love to see her dead, even I can admit she is to valuable to lose."
The hot tempered she wolf wasn't sure if she should be offended or flatter, but she finally settled on being offended. Wait, they had mentioned Vladmir. Did that mean he was here? Had he come to rescue her like she'd known he would even though she was perfectly capable of taking care of herself and getting out of this sticky situation? She wondered who had come with him and prayed that it was not Seth. It wasn't that she thought Seth was unable to take care of himself because she knew he could, but that didn't mean she wanted him to have to do it. If Aro found out the truth about Seth being her brother, well he would no doubt want him as well because even though Leah was one of a kind, a pair of sibling shifters was rare as well and it only made the she-wolf more valuable having a younger brother who could also phase in to a wolf. Hopefully Vladmir had come to the same conclusion and made the younger boy stay in Forks for the time being.
"Trust me brother," Again Aro spoke from somewhere upfront. "Vladmir will do nothing because he loves this mutt. His love for her won't allow for him to do anything that my put her at risk nor will he allow anyone else to do so. His love will ultimately be his downfall. That is why I brought her with us to this meeting; I brought her because she is the strings to his puppet simple as that. Do not question me again Caius unless you desire to spend an evening with Jane or if you want your wife to. You know as well as I that Jane loves practicing on someone she knows to see how far she can push them before they break and your wife always has been her favorite test subject."
It grew pretty quiet after that and the Native American female began to wish someone would say something so she could focus on something other than the thoughts running through her head. Leah hated thinking about what was going to happen because she had no idea and that weak feeling was back because of it. When did she end up the victim? Bella once Swan now Cullen was the victim type not Leah. Emily was a victim, even her mother for sure, but not Leah she made sure of it. Her fear of ending up like those girls who depended on a man or someone to take care of them only enforced her desire to be strong and as independent as possible.
After what seemed like an eternity, the vehicle stopped moving and suddenly a burst of cold air slapped her in the face as she was grabbed roughly by the arm and yanked harshly from the back where she had been sitting. Still unable to see, Leah could hear movement around her and then she felt him. Vladmir had indeed come since she could not only feel him, but smell and hear him as well. Instantly her fear vanished when he spoke even though it was only one word. The sound of his voice gave her hope and hope gave her the will to fight.
"Leah."
