Getting True Love Back Chapter 13

All right. I am actually glad you guys are the people who made it to the finals. Especially with your past. Anyway, let's get this started. You will go through the entire obstacle course. When that is over you must run back to the dock of shame and then ride the boat to the cash. Good luck. And please… Make this final extra dramatic.

Courtney wrapped her arms around Duncan's torso and smiled. Duncan shrugged her off and moved away. Courtney looked hurt. Gwen walked up to Courtney "What's Duncan's problem?" Courtney pouted sadly, "I don't know."

Everyone ready?

Everyone nods.

On your marks! Get set! Go!

Courtney, Gwen and Trent run but Duncan just stands there. Courtney walks up to Duncan, "What is your problem? Don't you wanna win?" "Not if the money is so that Princess can go live with the Irish Duck." Courtney looked at him confused, "What are you-" "Save it Courtney. I know it all. END THE SHIN-DIG CHRIS. I'M OUT." Gwen and Trent walked back and Chris was now by Courtney and Duncan.

Well this is the most dramatic and shortest final ever. With that said, Gwen and Trent are the winners.

Courtney looked at Duncan upset. She ran away to the cabin.

Trent and Gwen were handed the money. "What do you want to do with it Gwen?" Gwen smiled, "How about we get an apartment together? I heard Courtney said her apartment is being remodeled so she can get her Auntie Leah to move in. We can convince her to give it to us. I hear she'll be living in a sorority house anyway." Duncan heard everything Gwen said and shook his head. 'It wasn't Andy she was remodeling for. It was her Auntie.' he thought. Trent turned to him and said "Sorry, man." Duncan nodded and walked to them. "Congrats guys. You deserved it." Gwen hugs Duncan then moves to Trent. They walk away happy.

Duncan walks into the cabin, only to find it empty. Courtney was gone. Duncan laid on the bed, crying and taking in all of Courtney's smell. He couldn't believe he had lost her again. Maybe Duncan and Courtney were not meant to be together.

Six Months Later

Trent and Gwen are living in Courtney's remodeled apartment. The apartment is very elegant, and Gwen really likes it. Gwen found out she isn't pregnant, and she went to the school with Courtney. Trent was working with Courtney's brother at the record studio he has in Canada. Gwen couldn't be happier to have such good company in her life. Trent though kept in touch with Duncan, who was working at the local dealership.

Gwen is walking to meet up with Courtney before she got into her car. Courtney (Long hair and sorority girl outfit) walks up to Gwen. "Damn it, my car won't start." Gwen called a tow truck. It arrived within minutes. Gwen drove Courtney to the dealership. Courtney was sitting in the waiting room trying to see if her car was ready to take home. A forty year old man walked out shaking his head, "Sorry, but the car will need some fix up. Will you like to get a rental in the meanwhile?" Courtney nodded. From afar, Duncan could see Courtney taking a look at the cars. He smiles to himself. He misses her so much.

Courtney didn't like any of the options in the dealers, but at the far back, Courtney notices a car that seemed to call her name. "Is that a Lamborghini Murcielago?" said enthusiastic Courtney. The dealership man nodded and she jumped on him. "I'll go get the keys." The guy walked to the desk and handed the keys to her. She started the car and heard the engine purr. She handed the man her insurance card. The guy went to the desk to fill up the papers so she could take the car. He came back, she signed each paper carefully and she went on her way.

Trent and Gwen had met up at a coffee shop. "So… Is Duncan dating anyone?" asked Gwen. Trent looked at her suspiciously "You are not gonna leave me for Duncan again are you?" Gwen smiled and continued, "No, I was thinking more of getting him and Courtney back together." Trent looked shockingly at her, "Why would you want to do that?" "Because I owe her at least that. I took away her happiness away the first time, and I don't want her to be unhappy again." Trent looked at her, "Gwen she is doing everything she's ever wanted." "But she's not with the man she loves. Not like me and Bridgette." Trent saw her side now. Gwen and Trent had rekindled their relationship at camp, and so Bridgette and Geoff had always loved each other. It was only fair that Duncan and Courtney got together, since they were the first whom actually showed their love for one another in public. Trent nodded to Gwen. "Okay, but how?" "Tomorrow is Bridge's baby shower. It's unisex, and so are the games. We'll just pair them up." Suddenly from behind them they notice Courtney walking into the coffee shop with a young man. A man with black hair (no Mohawk, more like a David Beckham look) and teal eyes. Duncan. Trent looks at Gwen "I don't think we need to do anything." "I think we do. Listen to the conversation. She keeps yelling to him to walk away from her or she'll murder him. We need to do something quick." Trent was happy about her enthusiasm just nodded. Trent went back to observing Duncan and Courtney. Courtney didn't once look at him. She just turned to the guy behind the register.

"Hey Danny, can I get my usual?" said Courtney to the guy behind the register. "Anything for you Court." He left and Duncan stared at Courtney, "When were you gonna tell me about Danny?" Courtney turned to Duncan, "Oh, god. It's non-of-your-business. Plus, we dated some while back." Duncan was furious. He wanted to strangle the guy, "When?" Courtney turned to Duncan and finally noticed him for the first time. His hair, his style of clothes, and his eyes. "What happen to your Mohawk and piercings?" "You didn't answer my question." Courtney smiled at him, "Seventh Grade. He is gay now. Huh Danny." Danny comes back with her drink, "I just gave up on girls after tenth." Duncan smiles at him, "Sorry, it's just I'm trying to get my girl back." "I know, I've seen Total Drama. I think you guys should get together too. You can be like FDR and Eleanor." Courtney looks at Danny, "So I'm gonna be the first lady?!" Danny laughs, "No. While you're stressed in office, you have Duncan to give you advice and treat you to a soothing relax time. You're FDR, and he's your Eleanor." Courtney walks out the café. Duncan looks at Danny, "Give me advice." Danny smiles, "Show her the real you. Not the Total Drama you." Duncan waved at Danny and walked out too.

Everyone is at Bridgette's baby shower. The teams were put together. Of course Duncan and Courtney were one. "Bridgette, ready the first game." said Beth. "Okay, the first is the feeding game. You are going to feed your partner. Both of you are blindfolded. This is all about trust." Trent and Gwen kiss before he opens the Gerber while Bridgette and Geoff blindfolded them. Courtney was directing Duncan to her mouth. "It's just straight. Don't move to the right or left." Duncan smiled to her. She couldn't help but smile back. "Alright! Ready. Set. Go!" The competition was getting good. Everyone was filled with food in their faces. All except Duncan and Courtney. It seemed like they haven't even started. They had won most of the games. Although they were having so much fun, everyone eventually had to leave.

Gwen and Trent lay on their bed smiling about how wonderful it felt to finally be together without having to worry about the cameras or drama to be around other contestants. Gwen is holding up her left hand, admiring the ring on it. "Can you believe how much we've been through to get to here?" says Gwen. "I know, Gwen. That is why I am glad that we don't have to go back to that show again. Now our focus is on just us and our future wedding." Gwen smiles at Trent and kisses him passionately. "I promise that nothing will matter but you and I. Nothing more." Trent picks Gwen up. "Come on my Gweny, let's have some breakfast." With that Gwen and Trent walk down the hall to have breakfast.

Courtney is getting out of her classroom. She walks into the café and sits down. She begins to read Silence of the Lambs. Her coffee already in the table. Duncan enters the café and notices her sitting down and reading. He picks up his drink from Danny, then walks up to Courtney. "I love that book." says Duncan. From behind the book, Courtney replies, "I love it too." Courtney looks up and notices Duncan is sitting down drinking his coffee. He extends his hand to her. "I'm Duncan. I've noticed you like coming here a lot." Courtney looks suspiciously at him. He smiles at her. "Why are you doing this?" says Courtney. "Because I got advice that I should be the real me, instead of the T.V me." Duncan replies. Courtney smiles and extends her hand out. They shake hands and smiles at each other without removing their hands from one another. "I'm Courtney." Duncan looks out the window. "Do you want to go on a date?" "Sure, why not." The entire time Duncan and Courtney could not stop interacting and smiling.

(I really hope you guys enjoyed the story. This is 'The End'.)
