The warmth of someone else's body woke up the weather witch. His breath tickled the back of her neck as he laid closely beside her. She smile and as usual Ororo woke up early before everyone else…or so she thought. She sat up on the bed and tried to stretch, but quickly realized Logan's arm was draped over her waist. She tried to move off the bed without waking him up from his slumber, but-
"Good morning, Beautiful," he said to her.
She smiled at him, "Good morning. I thought you were still asleep."
"I woke up a couple minutes ago and noticed you were still sleeping," Logan said as he leaned down to kiss her swan like neck. The African beauty relaxed under his lips and she let out a satisfied moan when he licked the small love bite he had given her. Last night before they had fallen asleep the two had kissed, which transformed into a full make out secession. Logan felt the Wolverine wanting to be released, but Logan fought for control. Logan and Ororo had placed love bites on each other's necks before they had fallen asleep in each other's arms.
"Logan," she gave him a playful shove, "If you keep kissing me like that we'll never get out bed."
He raised his dark eyebrows at her suggestively.
"Wolverine," Jubilee called, "Wolvie, she knocked on his door. You said we had training today."
Logan cursed and Ororo cursed mentally. They both knew that if Jubilee found out about them the whole mansion would hear about before lunch. The couple didn't have time to react, because a knock on the door caused them to freeze in place.
"Miss Munroe," the thirteen year old knocked again, "Miss Munroe"-
The weather witch looked at Logan and he gave her a wink. She took a breath and opened the door and stepped out of her room to chat with Jubilee in the hall.
"Good morning, Jubilee," she greeted and looked at the teenager's attire. The thirteen year old stood with her hands on her hips in a t-shirt and basketball shorts. "Let me guess looking for your trainer?"
"He wasn't in the danger room and I've looked all over the place for him," Jubilee said. "I even knocked on his door and"-
"And why aren't you in the Danger Room," Wolverine gruff voice caused Jubilee to jump.
"There you are, Logan! Where were you?" the Vietnamese teen asked with a laugh.
"Takin' a morning jog," he replied. "So you ready to train or what, Half pint?"
"Ready!" Jubilee answered as she ran to him. Ororo smiled as the pair began to walk away, the teenager couldn't help, but grin as her instructor kept looking back at the African beauty.
After Logan and Jubilee disappeared she decided to go back into her room. Right as she was entering her room Scott greeted her, "Good Morning, Ro."
"Good morning, Scott," Ororo greeted as gave him a friendly kiss on the cheek.
"What happened to your neck!?" Scott asked looking the bruise like bite on her swanlike neck.
She blushed and lifted her right hand to cover the mark, "Probably a bruise you know from my attack." She felt terrible for lying, but she knew Scott, the man who was like an older brother to her would be furious and in major protective brother mood if he found out that she had shared her bed with Logan. To change the subject, "So where's Jean?"
Ever since they returned from their honeymoon the couple had been coming down for breakfast together every morning. "She's not feeling so good," he said sadly.
The red head kneeled in front of the toilet puking her loins out. 'I think I'm going to die,' she thought as she again threw up. When she finished practically emptying her stomach she attempted to stand up both of her arms grasped the edges of the sink. She looked in the mirror and her face was sweaty. Salty tears started to stream down her face.
"Jean," Ororo knocked on the door.
"Hold on," Jean called as she wiped her face with a towel, "Come in."
Ororo entered the room and couldn't believe the image in front of her, "Jean,"-
"I know," she repeated, "I know. I look awful, I feel awful and"- she looked at Ororo and spotted a mark on her neck, "What the hell is that?"
"A bruise," she lied again.
Jean would have beaten it out of her sister, but frankly she didn't have the strength right now. "Jean, do you want me to get Hank?" Ororo asked receiving a nod 'no.' "Maybe you should try talking to Emma since she's the only one who has experienced morning sickness before."
"I'm not pregnant," Jean revealed, "Hank had me do a test in the med lab and said I wasn't."
"Are you sure, you did it right," Ororo asked.
Jean turned to look at her sister, but she had turned her head so fast she nearly heaved, "Of course. How can you pee on the stick wrong?"
"I meant was your pee your first morning urine," Ororo stated.
Jean opened her mouth, but closed it. 'No, in fact the pee on the stick was her last urine. Everybody knows when you take a pregnancy test it has to be your morning urine. I'm such an idiot,' she thought. "How the hell can I miss that? I'm a doctor," Jean stood up to the med lab, but Ororo steadied her to sit on the bed.
"Jean, I'll get it for you," Ororo said.
"Thanks, Ro. Wait, can I take the test in your bathroom. I don't want Scott to know just yet until I'm sure," Jean asked.
"Of course," Ororo called as she exited.
In the med lab, Ororo quietly tip-toed hoping she wouldn't run into anyone. Her mocha colored fingers rummaged through the drawers and jars searching for the pregnancy tests.
"Ororo," a deep voice said. A deep voice that was familiar to the weather goddess. A deep voice she never imagined she would hear from for a long time…it was Forge's.
The Cheyenne man stood tall next to Scott and Hank, the two men looked at Ororo. The room was in complete silence. "Forge," was all Ororo said as a greeting to him. Hank cleared his throat. "Scott, why don't you help Forge sit over there and," he looked at Forge, "I look at your leg in just a second," Hank could feel the tension between Forge and Ororo. So he figured as her friend he would help her with whatever she needed so she could get the hell away from the man who broke her heart long ago. Scott had stepped out for a moment.
"Ororo, how may I assist you?" Hank asked. Ororo could feel Forge's brown eyes staring at her.
"I'm looking for something," she said in a soft voice.
"What are you looking for, dear?" he asked.
"A pregnancy test," she answered in a soft voice almost so soft it was like a barely audible whisper.
Had Hank heard her right?
"A pregnancy test," he said almost too loud for Ororo's liking. He didn't mean to say too loud. It was just from his disbelief in Ororo needing a pregnancy test. The two men in the room stood dumbstruck. Ororo badly wanted to say it wasn't for her, but for someone else, but her mind was thinking straight. The shock of seeing her ex and the embarrassment was too much for her. Hank held up the pregnancy test strip for Ororo. She took and practically sprinted out of the med lab with the strip in her hand.
Hank and Forge were dumbfounded when Scott came in. Scott eyed the men, "What?"
Forge shook his head, "It's just it's been a long, long time since I've seen Ororo." He paused, "I can't believe how much she's changed. I never knew she would move on."
That last sentence confused the X-men leader, "What?"
"I know it's stupid to say, but I thought when I saw her again she'd be here waiting for me," Hank gave the Cheyenne Indian a look that said 'are you out of your mind. You broke her heart.' Forge continued while Scott drank a cup of coffee, "But now after seeing her get a pregnancy test"-
'Pregnancy test.' Those words echoed in Scott's head. His baby sister getting a pregnancy test, he was stunned and furious. 'What son of a bitch could have done this to her?' he thought. But then Cyclops recalled his wife briefly talking about how close Logan and sister were becoming. 'I'll kill him,' he thought.
