In team JNPR's dorm Pyrrha is looking out a window sadly, Ren is loading his StormFlower, and Nora is jumping on her bed

"He's been rather scarce since he started fraternizing with Cardin." Ren added.

"That's weird... Doesn't he know we have a field trip tomorrow? We need our rest!" Nora proclaims as she flips onto her back.

"I'm sure our leader knows exactly what he's doing." Pyrrha said in a pissed tone which is pretty rare for her.

Ren and Nora exchange glances unaware that Jaune is peeking through the door.

"Mmmm... I guess so. OH! By the way what do you think about Ruby and Weiss being well... together together?!" Nora energetically changed the subject.

"Wait? They're a couple? I can hardly even imagine those two getting along." Ren stated.

"Well I for one think they make a great couple." Pyrrha debates. There's still a hint of sadness in her voice.

"I SHIP IT!!" Nora shouts energetically.

Jaune sighs to himself before walking away. He suddenly received a recorded message from Cardin.

"Hey! It's your buddy Cardin! I know you're probably still busy with that dust project I gave you, buuuut I'm going to need you to get He a bag of rapier wasps." He demanded. Jaune looked terrified upon hearing this. "And make sure they have some pretty big stingers! It's important so don't screw this up!" Cardin specified. Jaune sighs and walks down the hallway away from his room.

*The next day.*

Glynda along with Teams RWBY, JNPR, and CRDL walked through Forest Of Forever Fall. A forest with glorious red leaves and gray trunks. Ruby and Weiss smile at each other ear to ear while their hands are interlaced together tightly.

"Yes students, the Forest Of Forever Fall is indeed beautiful. But we are not here to sight-see. Professor Peach has asked you all to collect samples from the tress deep inside this forest. And I'm here to make sure none of you die while doing so." Glynda explained.

Jaune's approached by Ruby and Weiss

"Hey Jaune!" Ruby greeted startling Jaune.

"Long time no see! What's in the box?" She asked

Jaune sighed "I, uh..." He tried to make a fake excuse but decided not to lie anymore. "I messed up. I did something I shouldn't have, and now Cardin has me and a leash, and Pyrrha won't even talk to me, and... *takes a deep breath* I'm starting to think coming to this school was a bad idea... I'm a failure." He said depressingly. Weiss and Ruby looked at each other with empathy.

"Nope!" Ruby disagreed.

Jaune looked up at her in surprise. "Nope?"

"Nope!" She said again

"You're a Leader Jaune, your not allowed to be a failure." Weiss told him.

"But...what if I'm a failure at being a leader?"

Ruby thought about it for a second. "Nope!" She repeated again.

Jaune laughs a little. "You know, both of you aren't the easiest people to talk to about this kind of stuff."

"Nope! Jaune, maybe you were a failure when you were a kid. And you might've been a failure the first day we met. But you can't be one now? You know why?" Ruby asked

"Uhhh, beachside...?" He started

"Because it's not just about you anymore. You've got a team now, Jaune. We both do! And if we fail, then we'll just be bringing them down with us. We have to put our teammates first, and ourselves second. Your team deserves a great leader, Jaune. And I think that can be you." Ruby told him which inspired him.

"Thank you, Ruby" Jaune smiled

Ruby smiled in return before she continued walking with her girlfriend. "Ruby, I thought what you said back there was beautiful!" Weiss.

"Aw, Thanks Weiss." Ruby blushed the two gave each other a quick kiss before the went to work.

Jaune walks up behind Cardin and decided to try and make an attempt to sneak away but is quickly caught by Cardin.

"Come on buddy- let's go!" He ordered Jaune. Pyrrha watched sadly after she witnessed this. Ren and Nora have already went to work on collecting a sample from one of the trees. Dropping his gaze Jaune turns to follow team CRDL. Pyrrha sighed in disappointment before she too got to work.

*Team CRDL*

Team CRDL are all sitting on the top of a hill that overlooked the rest of the students waiting for Jaune who walked over with the box of Rapier Wasps and 6 jars of the tree sap they were assigned to collect. Upon making it over to their spot he fell forwards.

"Hey great work, Jauney boy! Now that wasn't too hard was it?" He asked him

In a rather dizzy tone he said out loud. "I think I'm allergic to this stuff..."

"Greeeat, great, great. So, Jaune, I bet you're asking yourself. 'Why did my buddy Cardin ask me to collect six jars of sap when there's only five of us?'" Cardin started.

"That is one of the many questions I asked myself today." Jaune said with exhaustion.

"Well come with me and you'll find out." Cardin ordered.

The five peek their heads over as everyone is retrieving samples of sap. Ruby and Weiss were paired together the 2 have already finished retrieving their sample and they were resting against a tree. Both of their faces were a little red, and had smiles that went from ear to ear. Ruby's head is resting against Weiss' shoulder. The 2 still have their hands interlaced together tightly, and they're clearly giggling about something. Nora and Ren are still collecting their samples. Ren kneeled to collect the full jar and handed it to Nora. "Mmmm!" The 2 trade the full jar for an empty one. Nora lickes the jar clean as soon as Ren turns around to full the second jar. He turns back around to see that the jar Nora was responsible for was now empty and her lips were covered in sap. Nora gave him an embarrassed smile.

"Cardin! Wh-what's going on?" Jaune asked turning to him.

"Payback!" She said firmly

Jaune's eyes widened when he realized what was happening. "...Pyrrha? Wh-What are you-?"

"That's the girl, red haired know-it-all, thinks she's so smart. Alright, boys..." Cardin said as he pulled up a buzzing box with a written "W" on the sides. "Last night, old Jaune here managed to round up an entire box of rapier wasps, and now, we're gonna put him to work." He told his team.

He grabs Jaune's shoulder who barely laughs nervously.

"Now, according to one of the essays you wrote for me last week, these nasty things loooove sweets. I think it's time we teach her a thing or two." Cardin offered Jaune his hand Jaune accepted it only to be yanked up to his feet and then shoved the jar into his grasp.

"And you're gonna do it!" He ordered

"Do what?" Jaune asked

"Hit her with the sap!" Cardin ordered again before he leaned in to Jaune. "Either that, or I'll have a chat with Goodwitch, and you'll be on the first airship back to beacon." He blackmailed.

Jaune thought about it for a second and began to visibly shake.

"No" he resisted

"What?!" Cardin asked aggressively

"I said... NO!" Jaune snapped and hurled the jar at Cardin. The sap covered Cardin's chest. Cardin looked down to see this and laughs darkly he then looks back up at Jaune with a horrific death stare.

"Oh, you've done it now..." He grumbled.

Jaune laughed nervously and raises his hands in defense before Dove and Sky pick him up.
