Waking up the next morning in the living room, looking around I saw everyone was on the floor or furniture asleep. Hanna was on the couch by herself, Mrs H was lying across a couch seat and that left the other couch seat for Mona and Mike who were snuggled up together; it was cute. Lying next to the couch seat that Mrs H was sleeping on was Mr H. Toby was the closely lying next to the couch with Hanna's hand draping down off the side of the couch which was draping onto his chest. Spencer and Aria were snuggled up together on the floor next to Toby.

Melissa was snuggled up to my side on the floor right next to Spencer and Aria, the coffee table had been move out of the room, next to us was Steve and Gemma snuggled up together. I saw Judy and Sara sleeping next to each other over the other side of Steve and Gemma and then surrendering all of us was my platoon boys and Dwayne. We all looked really cozzie with each other and that brought a smile on my face, slowly standing up from where I had been laying. I covered Melissa back up with the blanket and then I looked around for a way out, we just had to be the ones in the middle of everyone didn't we.

Patting my pockets for my phone I was able to find it in my back short pocket, I then started to take a photo of everyone while they were sleep and they all looked adorable. Putting my camera away I remember that I need to move, carefully stepping around Gemma and Steve watching out for his perfect hair. Almost stepping on it twice but luckily I didn't, then I had to step in between Mr H legs; which was really difficult then it should be since he kept trying to move. Harris and Connor were easy to step around because there was enough gap between them and the couch seat, I was able to squeeze through without hitting Mrs H in the head. When I was finally out, I start to do a victory dance and we had finished celebrating I remember why I had move in the first place.

Quickly making sure Melissa was asleep and then Hanna before I left the living room and into the kitchen. In the kitchen I saw on the microwave clock it said it was 6:00am, I wouldn't be surprised if all my platoon boys woke up, as well as Dwayne, Steve and Toby. Walking over to the fridge and cupboard I got out everything that I would need to make pancakes as well as bowls to put the mixture in, pans to cook them in and a plate to put the finished ones on. Once I had everything I would need, I started on making the pancake mixture and I was making a double the moment since one lot wouldn't feed everyone that was here.

It didn't take me long to finish making the mixture, I didn't have any distraction and I need to make them super quick since most of them had school or work today. Heating up two pans, I poured a bit of mixture on both, I cook two on each pan and they weren't going to be big ones they were going to be little ones. While they were cooking, I empty out the coffee pot and put in fresh coffee beans to be made, as well as getting out orange juice, water and spreads to put on pancakes. Once that was all out, I flipped the pancakes and got out plates, glasses, mugs and butter knifes for everyone.

Knowing everything was out, I went back to the pancakes and took the ones on off and put more onto the pans. By the time I heard movement coming from the living room I was halfway through the pancake mixture and hand already stacked on plate full of pancakes. Hearing footsteps walking into the kitchen I saw Toby, Steve, Dwayne and the other platoon boys all walk in.

"Morning," I say to only have groans in response these boys weren't really morning people.

Brodie asked "Please tell me you've cooked the breakfast for us as well and not just your friends here?"

I replied with "Of course."

They all cheered and said "Keep it down, just because we are all use to being up at this hour doesn't mean the others are," they realised and kept it down.

Billy said "We all miss your cooking Em."

Connor added "Yeah, we have to cook our own food now."

Steve said "I'm glad I'm not there to eat it," Connor pushed his shoulder while the rest of us laughed.

Dwayne asked "Are we allowed to eat or?"

I answered with "Wait for the other to wake up," they all groaned.

I say "Dwayne how about you take these boys out for a morning run by the time you get back they should be up and the pancakes should be all done."

Dwayne replied with "I like you're thinking, we'll go out for session later in the day."

I nod my head and say "Look forward to it," we smile before Dwayne lead the out of the house but out of the kitchen door and around just so they didn't wake the others up. I turned back around to the stove and flipped the four pancakes over, just in time too because it was nearly burnt and nobody wants burnt pancakes. When I heard the sound of movement again there was only a quarter of mixture left and I couldn't wait to stop making them, I was so over pancakes by now. Looking back when I heard footsteps I saw it was Mrs H and Mr H, I smiled at them before turning back around to flip the pancakes.

Mr H said "Whose idea was it to join you guys sleeping on the floor."

Smiling I say "Yours," I feel Mr H slap the back of my head which made me giggle.

Mrs H said "Looks like you've been busy."

I replied with "Yeah just a bit, the coffee is fresh if you want some," they both grabbed a mug and went to pour their coffees.

Mr H asked "Where are all the platoon boys and Dwayne?"

I answered with "Morning run, him and I will do a session later today."

Mrs H asked "Can we have some pancakes?"

I replied with "Yeah go for it, the spreads are all there," I couldn't exactly say no to my future in-laws could I. Ten minutes later I was finished cooking all the pancakes, I let out a sigh of relief just as all the boy walked in all sweaty and out of breath.

Smiling I say "Foods ready boys, grab want you just make sure there is some left over for the rest and just grab whatever you want to drink," they all smiled happily at me. Steve walked over to the fridge and handed out a water bottle to all of them, they drank it up really quickly.

I say "I'm going to go wake the others up," I walk out of the room and into the living room. I see Spencer and Aria are already wake they are just lying there with each other, enjoying the moment was my guess.

I walk over to them a whisper "Breakfast is ready," Spencer gives me the thumbs up an they slowly move into the kitchen. Waling over to Mike and Mona who are both snuggled up next to each other it almost seemed cruel to wake them up, when they looked so cute.

I whisper "Mike, Mona time to wake up!" I shake Mike's arm a little.

I whisper again "Mike, Mona time to wake up!" I shake Mike's arm a little harder and longer this time.

It wakes Mona up who asked "What?"

I say "It's time to wake up," she nods her head and kisses Mike on the lips which wakes him up instantly and he starts kissing her back.

I say "Enough of that. Breakfast is ready in the kitchen," they both smile at me and together they walk towards the kitchen still attached to each other. Going over to where Gemma, Sara and Judy are all sleeping which is right next to Melissa, I crouched down and gently wake the three of them up; quite easily to and they all move into the kitchen. It's just Hanna and Melissa left, I don't really want to wake either of them up but I have to. I stand back up and walk over to Hanna; I crouch down in front of the couch where her head is.

I say "Hanna, Hanna it's time to wake up," I shake her little before resting my hand on her growing belly. I still found it hard to believe that inside of Hanna was growing a little baby, a little a baby boy and I couldn't wait to meet him.

I say again "Hanna, it's time to wake up," I leant forward and pecked her on the cheek.

Hanna groaned and pulled the cover up over her head, smiling I say "Come on Hanna, breakfast is ready and I'm sure this little guys is hungry," Hanna let go of the blanket and I was able to pull it down. Hanna eyes were open but not by much, she had a frown on her face; obviously she didn't want to get up.

I say "There's breakfast in the kitchen," Hanna nods her head and slowly stands up to go get food.

Turning around I see Melissa staring at me, I smiled at her and she smiles back, I ask "How long have you been awake?"

Melissa replied with "Since you came in, I want to see how you woke everyone up," I nodded my head and crawled over to her. Melissa pushed the blanket up, I move to lay under the cover and Melissa pulled it back down and we snuggled up with each other.

I say "There's breakfast in the kitchen."

Melissa replied with "So I've heard," I smile and peck her nose.

Melissa asked "What did you make?"

I replied with "Pancakes."

Melissa said "I love your pancakes."

"I know you do."

"But I love you more."

"Really? That's nice to know."

"I love you so much Emily."

"I love you to Melissa so very much," we smile at each other before we both leant forward for a kiss.

After the kiss we both got up off the floor and went into the kitchen where we found all my platoon boys in the kitchen while the others were all eating in the dining room, Melissa went to go join the others and told me to stay with my platoon boys. I had mouthful of pancake when Hanna came into the room and whispered something into my ear that made me choke on my food.

Taking a few sips of my orange juice to stop choking, I asked "Are you sure?"

Hanna replied with "It's time Emily."

I say "Are you sure thought?"

Hanna replied with "Yes Emily, last night proved it to me."

I say "Okay, go back in there and I'll bring these guys in," Hanna nods her head and goes back into the dining room.

Toby asked "Is everything okay Emily?"

I replied with "Yeah, Hanna has some news to share with you all."

Steve asked "All of us?"

I say "Yeah, follow me into the dining room," I stood up from my stool and lead my platoon into the dining room where Hanna was standing over the other side of the room.

I walked over to her and asked "Now are you sure you're ready?"

Hanna replied with "Yes Emily, I am sure."

I say "Okay," I the turn around to see everyone is looking at us.

I say while looking at everyone "Hanna has some news she would like to share with you," I see Melissa eyes go wide and I nod my head at her.

Hanna clears her throat and said "I'm pregnant," I watch as everyone's faces turned to shock, I don't think they expected that.

Aria asked "Really?"

Spencer asked "Are you sure?"

Hanna replied with "Yes I'm really pregnant and believe me I'm sure I'm pregnant," I laugh at her saying that.

Mrs H asked "How far along are you?"

Hanna answered with "Three-four months," everyone took in the news before loud congratulations being said and they were all rushing to hug Hanna first. I saw Hanna was completely shocked by them all taking the news well, I don't think she expected that to happen.

Aria then asked "Who's the father?"

Hanna replied with "Caleb but he couldn't handle it that's why he left," they all looked at Hanna sadly and I could see somewhere angry at Caleb for doing this to Hanna.

Spencer than asked me "You knew all along didn't you?"

I replied with "Of course I did Spencer, I know everything."

Toby said "Yeah she freaky like that," all my platoon boys nodded their head.

Mr H asked "Do you know the gender?"

Hanna replied with "Yes, I also have a name picked out," I turned my head to look at her because a name hadn't been mentioned.

Everyone asked "What?" at the same time while I just kept looking at her.

Hanna replied with "Well if Emily will let me, I would like the baby's name to be Wayne Adam Marin," Hanna and I stare at each other intensely. Hanna wanted to name her baby after my father, I couldn't believe that she wanted to do that and I could feel tears wanting to fall.

Hanna asked "What do you say Emily?"

I replied with "Of course Hanna, I'd be honoured if you named him after my Dad," Hanna stepped forward and wrapped her arms around me; I hugged her back as congratulation were shouted again before a group hug happened.

With breakfast all eaten the boys where doing the dishes, Melissa was out in the barn showering, Spencer and Aria were upstairs showering, Mrs H and Mr H had left for work, Mike and Mona had left to go get ready for school, Gemma, Sara and Judy also left for school and Hanna was still here. I was sitting in the kitchen with Hanna watching as the boys did all the washing up and getting orders from Dwayne.

Hanna then asked "Emily can you help me with some things at my place today?"

I replied with "Of course Hanna," I smiled at her and she smiled back. When Melissa walked into the kitchen all ready for school, I walked over to her and gave her kiss and hug.

I asked "Do you need a lift because I can drive you?"

Melissa replied with "Thanks but I thought Spencer and Aria could drive me."

I said "Alright," I smiled so she knew I was okay with that.

Melissa asked "What are you going to do today?"

I answered with "Hanna asked me for some help with something at her place and just hang out with the boys," I pointed back at the boys.

Melissa said "Sounds fun," I nodded my head and kissed her again.

We then hear Spencer shout "Come on Melissa! We're going to be late!" we pull out of the kiss to see Spencer and Aria standing at the doorway between the kitchen and living room.

Melissa said "See you after school."

I replied with "That you will, have fun."

Melissa sad "You too," we did a quick peck before she left the house with Spencer and Aria.

I asked "Hanna did you drive here?"

Hanna replied with "No Mum drove me," I nod my head.

I say "You guys can stay here if you want but don't go into the barn, if you leave please make sure all the doors are locked and if you need me just ring my phone," they all nodded their hands.

I say "Let's go Hanna," I help her stand up and we leave the house for my car.

In the car I asked "Where are we going?"

Hanna replied with "To the Apple Rose Grill to have morning tea with my father."

I asked "Why?"

Hanna answered with "I've decided to tell him."

I say "You're telling your father you're pregnant."

Hanna replied with "Yeah."

I say "Well this should go well."

Hanna said "I just need you for moral support because I don't know how his going to react."

I replied with "Okay," I put my seatbelt on make sure Hanna's got hers on before turning the car on, reserving out of the driveway and driving towards the Apple Rose Grill.

I asked "You do realise that if he shouts and yells in a public place the whole town will know?"

Hanna replied with "Yeah I know."

I say "Okay, I'll support in any way you need."

Hanna said "I know thank-you Emily. You have been my rock through this whole thing."

I replied with "It's nothing Hanna, there's no place I'd rather be than helping you," we smile at each other before Hanna turns the radio up and starts singing along with the song that is playing.

Pulling into a park right outside of the Apple Rose Grill, we were able to see from our parked spot that her father was already in there waiting, I looked at Hanna to see she had very nervous expression on her face.

I ask "Are you okay?"

Hanna replied with "No, why did I think telling him was a good idea?"

"I have no idea."

"Not helping Emily."

"Sorry, look just go in and tell him, if things don't go the right way I'll be there ready to tell him off."

"Tell him off?" Hanna questioned.

I replied with "What you don't think I've always wanted to had a go at him for the way his treat you and your Mum?"

"Well no not really."

"I have Hanna, believe me I have."

"That's nice to know."

"Just remember to keep breathing Hanna."

"Yeah alright," Hanna takes a deep breath before we both hop out of the car ad start heading towards the restaurant. Entering the restaurant Hanna's father Tom or Mr Marin to me, he saw us walk in and stood up, he and Hanna hugged. Mr Marin wasn't really the best of Dad's out of all of ours, he was never really there for Hanna and was always trying to cover Hanna's problems up like he didn't really care or want others to know. He and Mrs Marin got divorced when we were all seven, I remember going to Hanna's house and holding her while she cried her eyes out in my shoulder. Than at nights I'd hear Mrs Marin crying her eyes out and it broke my heart to see a family so broken, Hanna would wake up during the night with nightmares ad I'd hold her again until she fell asleep.

Mr Marin said "Emily," he held out his hand to shake and I shook it.

I say "Mr Marin," we smile politely at each other.

I asked Hanna "What do you want to drink?"

Hanna replied with "Just an orange juice will be fine Emily," I nodded my head and go over to the counter to order. After ordering an orange juice for Hanna and a chocolate milkshake for me, I went back over to the table and sat down next to Hanna.

Mr Marin asked "What's going on Hanna? I thought it was just going to be you and I."

Hanna replied with "Emily's here for moral support," I nodded my head and place a hand on Hanna's leg. The waitress came over to place Hanna and my drink down on the table; I leaned forward and took a sip of my milkshake.

Hanna took a deep breath and said "Dad, I have some news to tell you."

Mr Marin asked "What is it Hanna?"

Hanna glanced at me, I nodded my head encouragingly just Hanna went to speak, Mr Marin said "Don't tell me you two are together, no daughter of mine will be a flaming lesbian." I felt Hanna grip onto my hand knowing I was ready to strangle the guy.

Hanna replied with "There is nothing wrong with being a lesbian Dad."

Mr Marin asked "So you two are together?"

Hanna replied with "No, we are not because I'm not gay and Emily has a fiancée."

Mr Marin asked "Really? Who?"

I answered with "Melissa Hastings."

Mr Marin burst out laughing and said "Melissa is no lesbian, she as straight as they come," I went to strangle him again but Hanna's grip tighten.

Hanna said "I did not come here just so you could insult my friends and me," Hanna did her glare that scares me; her Mum has the same glare and it's scary as hell.

Mr Marin asked "Then why am I here Hanna?"

Hanna replied with "Because I wanted to let you know you are going to be a grandfather, why I want to tell you is beyond me." I watched as shocked came across Mr Marin's face about becoming a grandfather before I saw angry come shining through.

Mr Marin yells "How could you be so stupid to get knocked up at only 19! And let me guess the father has done a runner so you'll be on your own. Have you asked me here for money again? To get rid of the child, that's what you should do get rid of the child so they don't grow up a bustard," I saw tears streaming down Hanna's face as her father yelled this hateful words. I saw the whole restaurant was looking over at us, including the staff and people outside came in to see what was going on.

Mr Marin stand up and said "You are a disappointment Hanna, you always have been," as he stood up angrily it caused our drinks to tip over and slip over our clothes.

I stand up angrily and shout "No one speaks to my best friend like that! No one! I don't care who you are! No one will speak to her like that! Hanna came here today to tell you that you will become a grandfather which I recon is the best news any parent should be told no matter how old the kid is, I only wish I could be able to do that with my parents but I won't get the chance! I don't know why Hanna wanted to tell you, if it was up me you wouldn't ever know. You have been a piece of garbage ever since you left them, do you know how many nights I held Hanna as she cried because her Dad had left and the many nights I lay awake listening to her Mum cry because you left! Hanna won't be raising this baby alone, she'll have me, her Mum, my fiancé and so many other people around her!" I went to say more but I felt a hand slap me across the face, I turn my head back to see it was Mr Marin he had actually slapped me.

Mr Marin shouts "No one will speak to me like that! I won't get shouted out by some kid! Some kid who has no idea what life is about!"

I smile and say "I don't know what life is really about that is a complete joke, lost both my parents while in high school, had an abusive Mum and I've gone on two tours in Afghanistan and now I'm home to get married to my fiancée and hopefully start a family with her. If that's not life then I don't know what is, Hanna will never be alone and I'm going make sure of that!" I was then slapped again across the face by him, I was getting really annoyed by him doing this and if it wasn't for Hanna's firm grip on my hand I would have him on the ground bleeding by now.

Mr Marin said "No one speaks to me like that! Are you getting rid of the baby or not?"

Hanna replied with "Not, I'm not killing something that is growing inside of me!"

Mr Marin said "Then I am no longer your father!" he glared at Hanna before walking out of the restaurant. Sitting back down, I pulled Hanna in close to me and held her while she cried into my shoulder. Holding her close and tight to me, as she let out all the angry and sadness her father has caused her and it crushed me to see her like this.

As Hanna slowly stopped crying, I asked "Are you okay?"

Hanna replied with "No but I will be." I nodded my head and grab some napkins off the table to start wiping away all her tears, as well as the smudged make-up.

Hanna said "Thank-you for sticking up for me."

I replied with "Anytime Hanna," I kissed the top of Hanna's head.

Hanna asked "Did you really hear my Mum cry after he left?"

I answered with "Yeah, it was heartbreaking to hear. I wanted to go see if she was alright, so many times I almost did but I figured it was something she had to get through on her own." Hanna just nodded her head and took over wiping her tears away.

When she finished she asked "How do I look?"

I replied with "Beautiful."

Hanna smiled and shook her head; she then said "I'm sorry for what he said."

I replied with "It's not alright for him to say those things but you don't have to apologize for him."

Hanna said "I feel like I do."

I say "And that is why you are nothing like him Hanna, you are more your Mum then him."

Hanna replied with "Great," we both shared a small laugh.

Hanna then said "I see your Dad in you and you're Mum before she went all crazy."

I replied with "Yeah, I see it in myself too," I took a moment to think about both my parents.

I then say "Well now everyone knows."

Hanna replied with "Not everyone."

I asked "Who's left to tell?"

Hanna answered with "The people I work with."

I nod and say "That's right, do you want to get it over and done with now?"

Hanna replied with "Yeah, if don't mind me driving."

I say "Of course not," I smile at her. We take a few minutes to just sit before standing up to leave the restaurant and get back into my car, for me to drive us to the flower shop.

Walking into the floor shop we found Victor, Anne, Tammy, Simon, Phillip and Sam in the shop, Sam was behind the counter with Victor. Tammy and Anna were holding both of the children, Anne with Phillip and Tammy with Simon.

Sam said "Hey what are you doing here on your day off?"

Hanna replied with "I have some news to share with you and I thought I'd come tell you straight away before it spreads around town."

Sam said "Alright, we'll talk out back."

Hanna replied with "No, it's fine for the others to know."

Sam said "Alright," everyone now looks at Hanna.

Hanna said "I'm pregnant," looking around at everyone I saw shock on their faces.

Anne asked "How far along are you?"

Hanna replied with "Three-four months."

Tammy said "Congratulations," everyone then said it after her. They all walked over to her and hugged her, the kids weren't really sure what was going on but they were good.

Victor asked "Do you know what you're having?"

Hanna replied with "A boy," I smiled remembering Hanna telling me the name of her baby boy this morning.

Sam then said "No wonder, the food business wasn't working for you," Tammy and Anne looked at Hanna and nodded their heads.

I say "When Hanna can't continue working and she needs to be home with the baby, I'm happy to step in and work for her."

They all looked at me and Hanna said "You can't do that, what about Melissa?"

I replied with "We've talked about it and she agrees that I should help out here while you can't."

Sam asked "What makes you think I want to hire you?"

I smile and say "I know you will."

Sam asked "How are you so sure?"

Hanna said "It's Emily, she is so sure of everything, it gets very annoying every so often but it's helpful."

Victor said "Emily you're hired again to work when Hanna can't."

I smile and reply with "Thank-you," I reach over the counter to shake his hand.

Tammy then asked "Are you excited for the baby Hanna?"

Hanna replied with "I'm scared but excited definitely."

Anne said "It's normal to be scared, believe me I was."

Tammy added "Same with me, I have all these baby books that you can borrow; they really do help."

Hanna smiled and said "Thank-you."

Anne then asked "Emily, dear what happened to your shirt?" I looked down to see my chocolate milkshake that had been spilt on me.

I replied with "It's nothing."

Hanna said "It's my fault; I told my father I was pregnant just before coming here and he didn't take it really well."

I replied with "And it wasn't your fault," I place a reassuring hand on Hanna's shoulder. Hanna went into explaining what happened and I could see they were all angry at Hanna's Dad as was I. We spent the rest of the afternoon there just talking about Hanna's pregnancy and other things.

I was sitting on the couch watching TV and catching up with the boys, they were telling us about the new platoon members and just everything else they had been doing since we left. I had dropped Hanna home an hour ago, we had spent most of the afternoon at the flower shop and I had only been home for an hour. When Melissa walked in through the front door with Aria and Spencer behind her it made me smile and she smiled back at me.

I say "Hey."

Melissa replied with "Hi," she walked over to me and leant up to kiss her.

I asked "How was your day?" I moved my hand down her arm to her fingers and we held hands.

Melissa replied with "Informative," I nodded my head curious.

Melissa asked "Can we talk? Privately."

I replied with "Of course," I smile at the boys before standing up off the couch and followed Melissa out of the living room and out to the barn. In the barn, I sat down on the bed and waited while Melissa got changed.

Melissa said "I got called into the counsellor's office today."

I replied with "Oh yeah, you been a naughty girl?"

Melissa leant over the door frame and said "Wouldn't you like to know," she smirked at me and had this sexy glint in her eye.

Melissa walked out of the closet and said "No, she wanted to talk to me about my future."

I replied with "Go on."

Melissa said "I have to make a decision on what I want to do with my life."

I asked "Have you got any ideas?"

Melissa answered with "At the time no but the counsellor had different booklets of career choices and one caught my eye the most," Melissa pulled out a booklet from her bag and handed it over to me. Reading the title of the booklet 'Becoming a Teacher,' I look up at Melissa and back at the booklet, I start flipping through the pages.

I asked "You want to become a teacher?"

Melissa replied with "Yeah but I want to teach first graders."

I smile and say "That's great Melissa."

Melissa asked "Really?"

I replied with "Yeah, if it what you want to do than I will totally support you."

Melissa said "You are the best," Melissa wrapped her arms around my neck and hugged me tightly.

Melissa said "This is going to mean long hours of studying."

I replied with "You allowed me to go somewhere I could have died and now you're going to study to become something that is going to help the next generation of kids, I think that is the greatest thing in the world."

Melissa smiled and replied with "Thank-you Emily Fields, I love you."

"I love you too," we smiled at each other before Melissa pushed me back onto the bed. Melissa got on top of me and we started to make-out, shirts were taken off and followed by our pants.

We were about to go further, when there was a knock on the door and Spencer voice saying "Emily, Dwayne is here for that run."

I groaned and shouted "I'll be right out!" Melissa dropped her head down onto my shoulder and we both started to laugh.

Melissa said "We were so close."

I replied with "I know but I really should go and catch up with him."

"Yeah I know," Melissa rolled off from lying on top of me.

Standing up I walk into the closet to put on my running clothes, Melissa asked "Do you know when you'll be back?"

I replied with "No but when I do get back I'll need a shower."

Melissa said "I'll be here waiting," I smiled at her before tying my shoelaces up.

"I'll see you when we get back."

"Okay," I stood back up and pecked Melissa on the lips quickly before walking around her to exit the barn.

Melissa yells "I love you Emily!"

"I love you too Melissa!" I left the barn and went out to the front where Dwayne was waiting for me and we left for a run.
