Chapter 13 How was I supposed to know?!
Summary: After a bad fight with a beast, Optimus & Megatron make a HUGE mistake.

Orion, Megatron & Optimus were fighting a strange beast from the other side of the planet. This thing had the tentacles of an octopus, the head of a horse, the teeth of a lion, the body of a tuna & it had the tail of a crocodile. This thing was dubbed a Landlubbodile. The Landlubbodile snarled at the group. "Orion, how do we beat this thing?" Optimus asked. Orion probed the creature for any weaknesses. "Well?" Megatron asked. Orion continued to search for a weakness. Unfortunately, everyone else was off doing their jobs. "Come on Orion!" Megatron growled. Orion hissed at them & the Landlubbodile grabbed him with one of it's tentacles. "Ok scrap it." Optimus said. The 2 leaders rushed the beast. The beast grabbed them with it's tentacles. "Orion, if you know of a weakness, tell us!" Optimus gasped as the tentacles began to squeeze. Orion was still searching for a weakness. This thing's weakness was well hidden. The beast then bit Megatron on the shoulder. "ORION!" Megatron bellowed. Orion hissed again & continue to search. Then the thing smacked Optimus in the chest with it's tail. "Orion! Answer us!" Optimus said with a hint of irritability behind it. Orion snarled at them & broke free of the tentacles. Then it hit Megatron with its tail. It also bit Optimus on the legs. Orion finally figured out it's weakness & attacked the tentacles. The Landlubbodile screamed in agony & dropped both leaders. Orion ripped off all of it's tentacles & let it bleed out. "Finally! Thanks for your help Primeaglodon!" Megatron said sarcastically. "Yeah, we couldn't have done it without you." Optimus remarked. Orion hissed at them & said, "That thing had it's weakness hidden very good. I'm sorry if I can't find the kill spot faster!" "Oh, well, sorry." Optimus said. Orion snorted & returned to the interior of the cave. "I hope he's not too mad. But that did take longer than normal." Optimus said. "I know," Megatron groaned. The 2 leaders staggered into the cave to recover from the attack.
Later…
"… might be slipping?" Arcee asked. "He might be," Optimus said. "Just watch what you 2 say otherwise we might be dead." Bulkhead said. "But if that creature wanted to kill us, it could have considering how long it took Orion to find it's weakness." Megatron sighed. "Which side of the planet was the creature from?" Predaking asked. "It came from my side of the planet. It's not native to these parts." Galvanuscorpa said. "So Orion couldn't have known right away it's weakness. Galvanuscorpa, are the creatures on your side of the planet harder to find weaknesses for?" Starscream asked. "Yes. Here they're very easy. On my side of the planet, it can take forever to find their weakness. So don't get mad at Orion for this." Galvanuscorpa said. Orion heard their words but remained at the mouth of the cave.
Next day...
Orion was sitting at the mouth of the cave keeping an eye out for any threats. Optimus & Megatron were napping in the cave, still recovering from yesterday's attack. Then a Wyglphant stomped into view. Orion saw it walk with it's family on the edge of the forest. Then a pair of familiar arms grabbed the leader. It was Galvanuscorpa & she was hunting for food. Her large arms were more than enough to take down the leader. The rest of the family scattered in fear. Then the arachnid-like beast walked down the hill & to the cave with her prey. Galvanuscorpa began to eat at the mouth of the cave. "If you want to, you can go get some food yourself. I can watch the cave for now." she said. Orion nodded & ran up the hill. Just as he vanished into the woods, Optimus & Megatron woke up. "Where is Orion?" Optimus asked. "Probably hunting, at least Galvanuscorpa is here." Megatron sighed. Then a loud bellow shot through the woods. A creature with the body & legs of an elephant, with the head of an eagle, feet of a gecko, tail of a snake with spikes & the arms of a T-Rex with massive claws suddenly leapt out of the forest. It stomped down to the cave. Optimus & Megatron rushed out to meet it. It already had large puncture marks & massive slashes in its skin. "Clearly, this is Orion's prey. It must've escaped his attack." Galvanuscorpa said. "So where's its weakness?" Megatron asked. "It's not from my side of the planet. I'm not sure where its weakness is." Galvanuscorpa said. "Wait, what if we hit the areas Orion already hit?" Optimus suggested. "No, it might make it angrier." Galvanuscorpa said. The creature charged the larger Galvanuscorpa. "For now, leave it alone." Galvanuscorpa ordered. Then it shifted its attention to Megatron & Optimus. Galvanuscorpa tried to bite it with her mandibles but nearly broke them on it's tough skin. Optimus leaped & punched it but then it slammed its jaws shut on the Prime. Megatron then grabbed it by the ankle & tried to toss it away. It was too heavy & it merely stomped on the former Decepticon leader. Megatron felt the beast shift all of it's weight onto him. Galvanuscorpa tried to sliced it in 2 with her arms but the spikes on her praying mantis-like arms broke & she nearly broke her arms. "This thing's too strong for me!" Galvanuscorpa groaned. Megatron then felt his spark chamber begin to get crushed. "Orion!" Optimus shouted. Megatron suddenly offlined. His spark was 2 seconds from being a pancake. Then the Primeaglodon ran out the forest & tackled the beast. The creature spat out Optimus & got it's foot off of Megatron before Orion ripped it's throat out. The creature bled profusely & died. "Megatron! You alright?" Optimus asked. "My spark was nearly extinguished." Megatron said weakly. "Orion what's wrong with you?!" Optimus hollered. "I lost sight of it. It's faster than it looks-" "But I was nearly killed!" Megatron growled. Orion snarled at the 2 leaders. "Even Galvanuscorpa couldn't kill it!" Megatron said. "That's because its skin is immune to puncture/cuts from a straight angle. It has to be in a diagonal mark in order for it to do any damage." Orion said. "You should've been here sooner! I nearly lost my spark because of you!" Megatron growled. "Enough! If you keep this up-" "Look Galvanuscorpa could've been severly injured!" Optimus snapped. Orion's eyes turned from light blue to blood red. "We're very disappointed in you Orion." Megatron growled. Orion bellowed angrily & ran off. "You idiots!" Galvanuscorpa growled. "What?" Optimus asked. "Orion ran off." Galvanuscorpa snarled. Then the Primeaglodon ran back to the cave. He ripped off Optimus's right arm & ripped open Megatron's stomach with his toe claw. Orion vomited his stomach acids & spewed them all over Optimus's chest plates. He nearly melted the Prime's spark. Then the Primeaglodon ran off, roaring loudly & furiously.
Later….
"…. and that's what happened." Galvanuscorpa said. "So who is Orion angry at this time?" Ultra Magnus asked. "Both of them." Galvanuscorpa said. "Oh, well I'm sure Orion will let this blow over in no time." Arachnid said. "Yeah, besides, Optimus told Orion to stay with us if he ever insults Orion again." Elita-1 said. "I'm not sure if he'll abide by that." Galvanuscorpa sighed. "Well will you at least keep us safe?" Arcee asked. "Yes, besides, my master is still being healed." Galvanuscorpa said. "At least that doesn't change." Laserbeak said. "However, I know very little about the creatures on this side of the planet." Galvanuscorpa said. "Oh drat! You & your big mouths!" Starscream groaned.
Optimus: So are we viewed as prey now or…?
