This is the edited version!

Hi guys! This is an extremely quick and messy update just to let you guys know I'm back and motivated to finish this story! I'll work on adding more to this chapter and re-editing it tonight! I have a lot planned for this story and I hope I still have readers! Please review to let me know if anyone is still interested in this story! And to motivate me to write!

Waking the next day to the smell of smoke Lily scrambled out of her sleeping bag and out of her cave to see where the smell was coming from. Lily was glad she couldn't see any fire right outside her doorstep. She ran around the entrance of the cave and climb up the rocks and stood on top of the cave. Looking out she could see a whole patch of the forest ablaze to her right, the game makers where either trying to kill tributes or trying to move them closer together.

Lily heard a splash and she saw Katniss the tribute from twelve in the water, she quickly dropped swiftly to the ground and prayed she wouldn't be seen. She heard yelling, lifting her head a little she could see the careers running down to the river after Katniss who quickly ran off into the forest. Lily caught quite a good look at Cato as he ran passed, she breathed in a slight sigh of relief as she noted that he looked unharmed. Lily found it strange that Peeta was with the Careers when just days ago in the interviews he had declared he had feelings for Katniss now he was helping to hunt her down. Lily waited a little while but still heard no cannon. Lily fished cautiously keeping her eye out for any careers or other tributes. Lily's curiosity was burning at where the careers and Katniss had gotten to since she still hadn't heard a cannon. It was dark when Lily decided she'd sneak off and see if she could see if she could see any tributes nearby.

It wasn't too far away that Lily saw the Careers camped down under a tree, with Katniss perched up on a branch. Lily hid behind a tree careful not to get to close. Angry burned through her body as she saw Cato and Glimmer cuddled up under a tree with the other tributes spread out around them, she let out a shaky breath as she tried to convince herself that this changed everything, that this changed her feelings, this made her hate him. But the painful ache in her heart reminder her that she did in fact still care. Lily turned to leave but a hand pressed over her mouth, her heart began to race and she reached for her knifes out of her belt, she turned quickly shocked to see Peeta with a finger on her lips indicating for her to be quiet. She kept a hand firm on her knife belt but nodded and Peeta slowly took his hand away.

"What are you doing here?" He whispered.

"I saw you guys chasing Katniss and was curious when no cannon went off. How were you so sure I wasn't going to kill you when you let me go?" Lily questioned

"You're not like the others. You are good." Peeta shrugged.

"What are you doing with them?" She asked curiously.

Peeta looked up a guilty expression on his face, "I was supposed to be leading them away from her," Lily nodded in understanding. "You better go before someone wakes up." She smiled softly and walked away from him back to her cave. Lily sat outside the cave for a while looking up at the sky. She missed home, she wanted nothing more than to wake up and have this all been a bad dream.

Lily woke the next morning and headed down to the water to refill her water supply. When she heard screaming and shouting coming from the direction the careers were last night and then a single cannon went off. Before Lily could move Cato came crashing onto the bank a bloody sword in his hands.

"Cato," Lily said wearily. "What happened?"

"Lil," He breathed. Lily noticed multiple stinger in his neck and hands. He stumbled closer to her holding the sword still, she stepped back cautiously. "You're so pretty." He muttered reaching for her before collapsing to the ground panting heavily. She looked around making sure no one was around before bending down to him.

"What happened Cato?" She repeated urgently.

"Tracker jackers," He said numbly, she sighed.

"I'm going to take you somewhere safe okay, but I need your help to move," He nodded and she helped him up, leaning him on her and helped him into her cave.

Laying him down inside the cave she carefully pulled the stingers out of his skin. Frantically trying to recall what the instructor had said at the plants section in training.

"I'll be back, I'll try and find something for it." Lily told Cato who was deliriously looking around. Running out of the cave and into the forest she searched through all the leaves trying to find something that looked even remotely familiar.

"Lily," She heard a tiny voice behind her, she smiled when she turned to find Rue standing a little way off in the distance.

"I'm glad to see that you are still okay," the younger girl gave her a cheeky grin as she walked toward her, noticing the dozen leaves Rue was carrying in her hands. "What are they for?"

"Katniss," Rue shrugged as if it were no big deal, Lily raised her eyebrow. "We're allies now, she was stung by the tracker jackers that she dropped on the careers." She elaborated.

"Do those leaves help with the stings?" She said sounding hopeful to have found what she was looking for.

Rue nodded "You need to put them over the stings,"

"Where do I find those?" Lily smiled.

"That tree," Rue pointed behind her at a short bushy tree a few metres away.

"I'll tell you what, you wait for me and I'll walk you back to Katniss safely." Lily smiled and ran off to grab a heap of the leaves.

"They are for the boy from 2 aren't they?" Rue exclaimed as they hurried through the thick forest foliage. "I saw him stumbling around after he cut Peeta's leg." Lily gasped remembering the blood on Cato's sword.

"Is Peeta okay?"

"I'm not sure, he ran off. But only Glimmers cannon has gone off." Lily wasn't sure how she felt about learning that it was Glimmer that died, she was certainly not glad but she wasn't sad either and that scared her a little.

"How much further?" Rue pointed to where Katniss was leaning against a tree with a silver bow in her arms, she looked like Cato and Lily wasn't entirely sure if it was safe to get closer.

Lily smiled down at the young girl, "Be careful," She said.

"You should be too." Rue added before heading to Katniss. Lily shook her head in amusement before running off back to the cave. Entering the cave she found Cato unconscious much like the way Katniss had looked. She told herself that Rue hadn't looked too worried so maybe that wasn't such a bad sign, she checked his pulse and breathing which seemed to be normal. She quickly began to apply to leaves to his stings.

She was finishing up with the last leaf on his hand when she could hear a beeping coming from the outside the cave. Realising it must be a sponsor parachute she scrambled to the mouth of the cave. She found a small silver container much like the first one she got marked with a big four floating down in front of her. Catching it she quickly opened it to find a few small bandages and a note.

These should help keep the leaves in place.

Lily frowned as she headed back to Cato. Finnick hadn't written on the note. Was he mad that she had saved Cato? He couldn't expect her to kill him could he? But he had told her he wanted her to win and that would mean that she would have to kill some tributes. Lily shook her head and grabbed the bandages and started wrapping them around to hold the leaves.
