Here's part 2!

Disclaimer: I don't own Codename: Kids Next Door, Mr Warburton does.

They travelled around the mall for what felt like hours in Wally's mind. Even if had been only 28 minutes and 23 seconds. Yes he had been counting.

"Why haven't we found anything yet?!" He exclaimed, raising his hands in defeat. Sitting down on the marble wall near one of the malls escalators.

"We've only been in two shops, Wally" Hoagie reminded him, increasing the blondes disappointment as he released frustrated growl. Kuki then sat down next to Wally to comfort him.

An idea hit the mechanic.

"Abby, don't you think we should get back to the treehouse so I can carry on with the time machine. I am sure some people here would much rather I get on with that than hanging around the mall."

"Very true" Numbuh 1 commented "Me and my team would like to leave here as soon as we can."

"We can't leave!" Wally exclaimed, standing up to face his best friend. "I know I would normally be agreeing with you, but if I don't get that shirt by today my mom will kill me."

Hoagie grinned, Wally had just triggered his trap.

"Yes, but we don't all have to be here." Abby shot her boyfriend a questionable look, trying to figure out his motive. He gave her a wink and flicked his hazel eyed gaze onto the two other remaining teens near the wall. She suddenly understood and smirked.

"Meaning?" The Australian pressed him for an answer.

"We can all go back to the treehouse and Kuki can stay with you." He suggested.

"Why me?" She piped, hearing her name snapping her out of her dream land. Abby smiled warmly at her.

"Because you love shopping and you can get him to listen to you."

"I..I don't know about this." Wally uneasily, practically incoherent. "May...Maybe should just make up an excuse and we come back another day."

"And Abby wants to know what's wrong with that?" The African American teen wondered, both hands on her hips. A stance that all her friends knew meant trouble. "Your just 2 best friends going to the mall that's all. Nothing romantic about that is there?"

The pair blushed at the comment. Kuki glancing slyly at Wally who was in a flustered state. His skin from neck to face felt like it was burning from all the blushing.

"But..." He stuttered, before Kuki stood from the wall next to him.

"No she's right." Kuki reassured him, her soft hand rested on his forearm for a second, resulting in his skin getting brighter. "It can be just like old times."

'Like old times' He thought sadly 'I miss that.'

"Are we agreed then?" Numbuh 5 asked, looking at the touching scene before her. "You stayin'?" Wally and Kuki both looked at each other, sharing a small smile followed by a nod.

"We'll see you both later then." Hoagie victorious smile matching Abby's. Both remembering to congratulate themselves at their genius. "Lets move on out team."

And with that the others ventured their way through the crowds of people to reach the exit, leaving the 2 teens alone in silence.

"Are you sure about this?" Kuki repeated. "We can just go now if you want to."

It had been so awkward between them recently and she wasn't quite sure why. The feeling that something wasn't right only confirmed her suspicions further from his hesitant answered to her friends offer earlier. In an attempt to end this atmosphere between them both, she hoped this trip would help.

"Its fine" The response was rather rushed but not as muddled as before. "You were right, it's been ages since we've done something like this." There was a pause again, the silence once again making itself known.

"Well I know few places you might like, if we find something quick we might be able to escape here in a record time." She let out the girly giggle he loved "Sounds like a mission."

She was happy when he laughed at her joke "It does" He mockingly bowed to her as she went towards the escalator.

"You better lead the way then, great mistress of the shopping mall."

"Home at last" Abby declared as they entered the treehouse, she flung her bag onto the sofa of the living room as the large group marched in. "I really can't believe that plan worked."

"I know, went better than expected." Hoagie smiled in success thinking back to the mall, He turned to look at his girlfriend of 2 years. "That's just a reminder that we make a great team."

Abby came up behind him and held onto his waist. "You got that right, baby." She smiled sweetly as she reached up slightly to kiss his cheek making him blush. Twisting himself round to face her, his lips made contact with her soft ones. Immediately they heard a cry on disgust coming from the 10 year old kids whose presence had been forgotten.

"Get a room!" Numbuh 4 mumbled, marching past the pair of teens to sit on the couch and reaching for the remote.

"Sorry!" They parted slowly, both smirking at each other but still linked be hands. Numbuh 2 looked at them both in envy, even if he knew it would be him in the future. His mind still wondered one question though.

"How did you two get together anyway?" He wondered aloud out of curiosity. Hearing the query the teens looked at each other, debating whether to tell their story or not.

"As much as we would like to tell you, we can't" Abby told them, disappointed noises coming from Numbuh 2 and 3 while Numbuh 5 looked a bit deflated.

"Why?" Kuki begged, her voice full of sadness. "Your both so adorable together."

"We'll ruin it things for them, that's why." Hoagie confessed as he wondered towards the arch way to get to his room. "It was such a good way of getting together it would be a shame to change it."

"You going so soon?" Abby enquired, noticing the distance between them both now.

"Best get on, wouldn't want anyone having a go at me would I?"

The comment was aimed at Numbuh 1 who was stood near the TV, arms crossed tightly and his brown boots tapping against the wooden floorboards of the treehouse.

"Can I come with you?" Numbuh 2 asked excitedly, Squealing with delight as he got a nod of approval. The mechanic duo twins both started their journey towards the room where the time machine awaited them.

There was now an awkward silence left in the room as Abby was left alone with the young Sector V. She just stood in the middle of the room, twiddling her thumbs as a means of comfort.

"So...I guess you guys can just chill then." She muttered to no one in particular. "I will be in my room if you need me." Walking away from them as she didn't expect an answer back. As she turned the corner, she let out a breath that she wasn't even aware was being held back.

Why was it so difficult to talk to them? She was unsure if it was the kids making it awkward by being so stubborn or whether it was them. Aware that it shouldn't be like this, especially the lack of trust between them was something no one expected.

Shrugging away her negative thoughts she made her way into her bedroom knowing her ipod and a magazine was calling her.

"I think we've found our ticket out of here."

The pair of shoppers were finally triumphant in their search for a shirt as the Australian held a brand new white shirt, floating on the hanger as he waved it in the air.

"Good, I should hope so 5 shops later." Kuki cheered proudly "It's nice to see one that fits your particular criteria, seeing as you turned down all the others I showed you."

She found it hard to admit that shopping with him was exhausting, reminding herself to make a mental note.

'Next time I will think twice before agreeing to this again'

He brushed off her comment as he reached in his baggy jean pocket for his wallet until he was interrupted by a voice of an angel.

"Aren't you going to try it on?"

His hand paused in its place, turning his head to give her a questionable look. Trying his best not to be wavered by her look of innocence.

"Why would I want to do that?" Perplexed by her question and as she rolled her eyes he felt a pang of annoyance.

"To see if it fits?" She countered, pretending her heart didn't melt as his head tilted slightly as he the cogs in his brain turned slowly. "Cause if you buy it now and find out it doesn't fit later you'll..."

Kuki chose not to finish her sentence, allowing him to figure it for himself. Green eyes suddenly filling with dread as realisation hit him.

"I will have to bring it back...And we will have to go through all this again."

She nodded watching him spin on the spot in a frantic search for a fitting room But he stopped as he saw something that caught his interest. Something that wasn't the fitting room.

"What's the matter now?" She asked, trying to see what he was looking at so intently. And she had to confess she was surprised at what it was.

Hanging on the shining silver rail was a pair of black jeans. Didn't look like anything special to Kuki or anything different than what he usually wore. Perhaps they weren't as baggy as the style that he normally went for as they did look like they were more skinnier around the legs. She then saw another feature the piece of clothing held. Around the waist was an orange coloured belt with rounded silver studs around it.

Yup, that was the seller for him.

"If you like them, why don't you just try them on as well?" She asked approaching the pair of trousers and taking them of the rail, holding them out towards him like temptation.

"I only bought cash" He mumbled, trying not to look at them for too long. "And have you seen the price, I didn't bring enough money."

A thought suddenly hit her, remembering there was a reason why she chose these particular shops they had been to so far. Shoving the hanger at Wally, forcing him to hold the it for her as the Japanese girl searched through her petite green handbag for her purse.

"Oh no! I am not borrowing money off you!" Failing to stop her in his tracks as she continued to search. Transferring the clothes that filled both his hands onto one arm, he tried to reach for her purse. Pausing when he heard a "Ah ha"

"I knew they were here somewhere!" Successful in her search as 2 coupons were waved in front of his handsome face. "Now you can buy both."

"These are yours though." He reminded his friend seeing her shaking her head.

"Were mine, you can use them as they will just run out anyway." To shut him up she pushed him towards the changing rooms. "Now go try them on, I will wait here."

He disappeared into the small closet size room, shutting the wooden white door behind him. As she waited, Kuki sat down on one of the leather chairs outside of the room twiddling her thumbs.

She waited for about a minute when Wally reappeared again, not noticing him at first until he spoke.

"What do you think?"

The sound made her jump and when she looked up to answer, her heart stopped.

The chosen dress shirt made him look smart and sexy at the same time. She could easily check out the fetching physique of his torso and arms. It made Kuki thankful that he would be wearing a black blazer as well or all woman at this wedding would be having a heart attack. And the jeans, well she could now see why they held such appeal. They fitted him well, not too tight or too loose around him, doing wonders for his long legs and rear.

"Hello?"

She was snapped back to the real world, feeling her porcelain face burn in embarrassment. Wally was still staring at her, awaiting her verdict.

"I...I...It...looks nice...good r..r..really good." She says, fidgeting in the leather chair, feeling like a fool as her mouth and brain refused to communicate any longer. "I think were done"

The blonde teen flashed her a smile that showed his dimples, making anyone swoon. "Great, give me a sec."

A sigh of relief was released as he shut himself away again. She really shouldn't do this again, temptation was just too hard to resist. Who cursed her to have such an attractive friend.

"Honestly, I have never been more thankful for you and your bargain bucket." He says, coming out the changing room wearing his usual hoodie and jean, the clothes he wore minutes ago attached to his left arm.

"Excuse me" Rising from her seat to greet him, questioning "Bargain bucket?"

With a chuckle as they wondered towards the till "Your endless supply of coupons. I knew there must be a reason for you doing loads of shopping."

"I think you better go pay before you say something you shouldn't." Kuki slyly told him, pointing to the till. Wally raised a blonde eyebrow.

"Like?"

"Like insult me accidently. Now get in the queue" She giggled, unknowingly biting her lip lightly. As he obeyed, she suddenly realised she was being far to flirtatious with him. She knew when she was younger she had a reputation of being quite flirty at times but presumed she had grown out of that phase.

Maybe it was something that only struck again when Wally was around.

"You thinking of something nice." Wally joining her hand equipped with a grey plastic bag while she was in her dream world.

"Nothing in particular." Kuki muttered as they wondered out the shop. They were about to turn the corner towards the generally direction of the exit until they heard a voice from a distance.

"Wally!"

They turned towards the sound and Kuki paled. Her worst nightmare had arrived.

"What you doing here?" Wally happily greeted the approaching figure, her heels clicking again the hard polished floor. A cackle came out of her lipstick covered mouth as locked her boyfriend in an embrace then reaching up to give him a peck on the lips..

"What am I doing here?" Claire asked, flicking her brown hair, the spotlights that seemed to flood the mall shining on her hair showing on the reddish streaks. "I should be asking you that. You hate the mall!"

"Had to get a shirt for my aunts wedding." Wally told her, putting his arm around her. "Kuki helped me choose it."

Claire's face faltered at the name, her hazel eyes snapped to the girl in question, shooting daggers at her. Kuki never felt so uncomfortable as her enemy scanned her up and down. Kuki also took this opportunity to look at what her opponent was wearing.

Today she wore a mid thigh bright pink strappy summer dress along with pink heels. At her side a designer black handbag and lots of shopping bags. Her slim shoulders were covered by her long straight brownish red hair that had a light and fluffy look about it today. As normal she wore lots of jewellery, rings and a matching set of silver earrings and a necklace that was heart shaped.

"Oh right." Clarie's voice and face both portrayed disgust as she blanked the Japanese girl as if she was a ghost. "Anyway babe, I was here with some of my friends but it's getting soooo boring now. Then you came out from nowhere so..."

"So you just ditched them." Wally grinned, turning to look at the abandoned girls who were glaring right at them like a pack of lionesses. One of them being the girl Claire was just bitching about the other day at school.

"Yup!" She declared staring at her perfect manicured nails then looking up at him with a smile. "They'll get over it. So where do you want to go next?"

"Actually we were just..." Kuki started before she interrupted by the she devil.

"You can come with me to that brand new shop that just opened! Apparently they do the cutest handbags." He groaned at the thought, she frowned at his reaction, touching his arm affectionately. "But baby, they do some guy stuff too."

"As much as I would love to spend time with you, I only came for a shirt and I am with Kuki,"

"Well she can go home" Claire muttered, shooting a look at Kuki who was praying the ground would swallow her whole.

""Yeah I..I can just go if you like"

"No, stay!" Wally adamant that his friend shouldn't leave on account of his girlfriend. "You can come with us, then we can go for that lunch we talked about."

"Umm..."

"That's ok isn't it Claire?" Turning to face her, he ignored facial expression though. Her face looking like thunder as she practically seethed.

"Yeah, why not" She muttered, her pout increased even further, her slim arms crossing over chest dismissively.

"Great!" He beamed, smiling at the pair of females who looked like they wanted to tear each other apart, limb from limb.

Yet he was completely oblivious as Claire linked arms with him and marched towards the shop she was desperate to get to, with Kuki miserably following behind.

As Abby lounged in her room while listening to her ipod, completely relaxed and lost in her own thoughts.

Admittedly, it had been very hard not to tell the youngsters the story about her and Hoagie. It always guaranteed to make her smile whenever she thought about it.

It was hard to believe it was 2 years ago now, they had been on a mission against the six gum gang who were causing trouble at a kindergarten school. Unfortunately for them, the gang had come prepared for an attack and both her and Hoagie were separated from their two remaining teammates.

*FLASHBACK*

"Come on Hoagie we have to keep going." The 15 year old African American girl was sprinting, but not at full speed. Her left arm was stretched out behind her as tried to drag the mechanic behind her.

"I CAN'T!" The painful cry of Hoagie who was very red in the face and panting heavily.

"We have to! Or they will catch us again." She commanded, if only they weren't joined together at the wrists by handcuffs this would be so much easier. They could both hear the sounds of horses running after them through the green football field, their riders firing arrows at them. Dark eyes suddenly found hedge close to an chain fence that looked climbable. Well at least it seemed easy for her. "Come on!"

He could practically feel his arm snap at the sudden jolt when she changed direction. Branches of the barren hedge scratching against the bare skin of their arms as the dived into it.

"What kind of hiding place is this?" He whispered, dusting the dirt off his beige jeans as he stumbled to his feet. Both of them looked filthy from the dirt but it was to be expected in the fall especially after they had a few downpours recently. "We're going to be spotted!"

His heart sank as he noticed the fence she was staring at intently. It couldn't be denied, Abigail Lincoln was a great leader and she came up with amazing ideas and strategies. Apart from this one of course.

"No way!"

"Yes way! It's an order!" Abby told him, her left arm reaching up to grasp the fence chains, forgetting about the predicament they were until his right hand flew upwards to hit hers. Letting out a frustrated sigh. "Come on Numbuh 2, climb!"

Codenames was something they hardly used anymore in order to stay undercover, but when it was said it was in dire circumstances. And obviously this was one of them now.

"I am trying!" He weakly muttered, as he reached high but unable to get a good footing like his fellow teammate. "I may have lost weight but that doesn't mean I am ready to climb fences on demand Abby!"

Abby was now in a stable position on the fence to see just see over the fence and hedge. They were coming closer and they were nowhere near safe yet. All strength the female had was made to swing her leg so it landed on the horizontal pole that was perched above the chains. Straddling the pole, she lifted her arm up with such force to pull up the mechanic. When he was close enough, she grasped his clammy hands in her own so he could join her at the peak.

"Thanks" He panted, deciding now was a good time to look up. Not realising how close they both were sat he blushed, thankfully for him she couldn't see that due to the sweat that radiated from his face. "Their coming"

"We can't stay here forever." Abby said, the pair looked around frantically searching for a solution. Hoagie looked down, and suddenly found their answer even if it was an unpopular decision. He held a breath and reached for her hand once again and shouted.

"Jump!"

No opportunity was given for the leader to respond as he leaped from the top bringing her with him. Her eyes seemed to pop from her head as she looked down, life flashing before her eyes. Their fall was broken by a pond that sat on the other side of the fence.

The murky green water engulfed them, the water both deeper than they thought it would be. Hearing the muffled movements of their enemies above them, they held each other to stay under as long as they would. When there was quiet they swam to the surface releasing a loud gasp for air. They had a moment of brief silence as they took in the grimy state of one another and themselves.

At the sight of Abby soaked to the skin, covered in green algae, her right shoulder now covered by a large lily pad and her red hat that now look slightly pathetic seemed to move on its own. Noticing the movement too, Abby reached for her hat and shoot it out, a small frog jumping from it and back into the pond. He suddenly couldn't help it, he had to do it.

He laughed. Big mistake.

She seethed at him as she pulled herself out of the water, dirty water coming of her thin body. When she was on her feet she rung out her hat in a fiery quick movement then returning it to its rightful place a little crinkled.

"Why did you do that?!" She growled, her eyes blazing in anger at the other teen who had been hooked out of the water by her movement in a not so elegant way as she did. "We could of drowned!"

"I didn't see you coming up with something better!" Lifting his yellow goggles from his face to rub his eyes. When he was done, he rolled his eyes in a joking manner. Something she normally laughed at. But not today.

"Grrrr!" Arms thrown in the air causing his right to raise too. His goggles that he rested in that hand flew in the air, landing in the car park not far from them.

"At least we got away" He reminded her, trying not to get wound up by her sour mood. He started to go and retrieve his signature glasses but he was yanked backwards.

"Don't walk away from Abby!" The leader shouted, her hair dripping, adding to the large puddle they had both formed. She started to yell at him about over things but he stopped listening. Why couldn't she just stop?

Without thinking he grabbed her wet face in his hands and pressed his lips to hers. The action had done its job as she promptly stopped talking as she was overwhelmed by shock. Before she could respond, they parted nearly as quick as it begun.

"Now you stop." Smiling in relief as she still tried to piece together what happened. Attempting once again to recover his goggles he sauntered over to them. In a dumbfounded state, Abby just followed.

As he was metres away from them, a car pulled out from one of the parking spaces quickly and headed to the main road. Unfortunately, Hoagie could only look on as the wheel of the car easily destroyed his possession.

Now he was the speechless one, tears threatening to form.

Abby sighed, it really just wasn't their day.

In a comforting manner she reached her right hand across her body to his handcuffed one, resting it on top of his.

"Come on, let's go find the others, Hoagie." He looked her directly in the eye, touched by her actions. Both sharing a sad gently smile, they slowly strolled round the other side of the building in hopes of finding their friends.

They spent at least another hour looking for Wally and Kuki, eventually finding them after a fight with Lunk and Runt. Apart from being covered in mud, neither of them looked in a worse state than Abby and Hoagie.

Travelling in the S.C.A.M.P.E.R on the way back each pair went through their 'ordeal'. When Abby and Hoagie told them about the chase, the pond and mournful loss of the goggles Kuki was very sympathetic while Wally was the total opposite, bursting into laughter when they got to the part about pond, therefore carried on continuously throughout the rest of the story.

After they all showered and got themselves dry, all were fast asleep in exhaustion by 8pm. All except one.

Abby clad in her cobalt blue dressing gown was still just about awake, standing on the balcony of the treehouse with a steaming cup of hot chocolate, looking out at the eliminated houses down the street. Even though she did feel like she had been running a million marathons, her mind was not letting her rest at all. It couldn't stop thinking about that kiss.

Her heart raced and butterflies invaded her insides. Why was she even feeling this way? It's not like she was in love with him right? It was something she never thought about before, sure he had always been interested in Cree up until they were 13 which he presumably grew out of his childish crush but otherwise there wasn't really anyone he was interested in. No one she knew of anyway.

But that didn't mean he would be interested in her did it.

All this uncertainty, she had so many questions for him, the main one being why did he do it.

"How are you not asleep?"

A charming voice interrupted her, making her freeze. Not 100% sure if it was the one she wanted to here right now or not.

"Just a lot on my mind Hoagie." She replied in a weary state, now nearly completely slumped again the wooden barrier in front of her. The teenage boy arrived next to her wearing a pair of jogging bottoms and a long sleeve plain white top, his nightmare.

"Me too." He smiled leaning on the same barrier as her. They stood in silence, both staring out into the now tranquil street before them.

"Can I ask you something?" Abby mumbled, still not looking at him yet.

"Of course...Ask away." A wave of nervousness suddenly came from nowhere, feeling uneasy as he predicted the question coming next.

"Why did you kiss me today?" Her dark eyes, although holding a tired look flicked towards him, turning her head slightly. "Was it really just to shut me up?"

There new friend silence joined them again, then disappeared as Hoagie cleared his throat to speak.

"I...I...No it wasn't"

"Then why?"

It came out in an unintentionally whisper and a bit raspy, she had a wait for his answer but when it came it all felt worth it.

"I kissed you because I like you Abby...I...I...love you."

For one moment he actually sounded like that young boy she met when she was just 8 years old. The boy who was quiet, shy and seemed a bit dorky but on the inside kind, clever and funny. Well sometimes funny.

She vaguely heard him continue on as her thoughts took over. Hearing something about liking Cree cause they were both so alike and trying his best to impress her constantly. Neither of them realised it had been like this for that long, for 5 years.

Hoagie sighed, unsure if it was in defeat or relief. He had now spilled his heart out to the girl he loved and now he felt helpless.

While Abby realised she had a split to make a decision. Yes or no?

Hearing him push himself upwards into an upright position, she quickly turned and grabbed his hand, stopping him. Refusing to look at his face at the moment she just stared at the intertwined hands, seeing their matching welts on their wrists. The cuffs were only taken off when they got back to the treehouse using a laser gun, one of Hoagie's latest inventions.

A warm feeling flooded her, her heart felt like it was going to burst from her chest any second. It was then she had her answer.

Both hands travelled up his arms gently running to hold his neck. Finally looking up to stare into his blue eyes, a sight rarely seen. His facial expression was a confused until she learnt towards him and whispered something. Unsure if she was telling herself or him.

"Yes"

With that she kissed his dry lips, eyes fluttering to a close at the same time as his own. They stayed like this for a few seconds until they ran out of breath and had to reluctantly part. As their eyes re opened they smiled and he held her in a tight affectionate hug. She normally hated hugs but this was welcomed, snuggling her head into his chest, she muttered one last thing.

"I love you too"

*END FLASHBACK*

It was a fond memory of hers, and it was same for him too. After confessing their love, they both turned in for the night and waited to see each other in the morning where they knew Wally and Kuki would get the shock of their lives when they found out.

Her reminiscing came to a halt when her mobile which was sat next to her came to life with a ping, alerting Abby of a message.

Curious, the African American teen picked it up to read the message flashing on her display. The message was very brief and clear.

Abby typed a quick reply as she stretched up from her lounging and relaxed position. Abandoning everything were it was, she quickly dashed out of her room to locate her car keys.

"That looks nice don't you think babe?"

Kuki had heard that sentence some many times within the last 15 minutes. Every piece clothing or bag picked up would receive the same question and same answer.

"It's alright"

It just felt like a continuous, cringe worthy loop.

Wally was just going to buy a belt that he quite liked, one which I just about had enough money to get.

"Can we please get some lunch after this?" Wally begged, exhausted at all this shopping.

"Whatever, just go buy it." Kuki got the impression that Claire was rather annoyed he didn't have much money on him. Thinking if it was the opposite, Claire would probably have bought everything she had picked up, with his money of course. "We will wait here for you."

With a grin, Wally once again ventured to the till, leaving Kuki and Claire alone. Suddenly Kuki felt like she had been hunted down by a predator.

Neither of them spoke until it was certain that Wally was in the queue. It was then the lioness struck.

"He will never be interested in you."

Kuki blinked once, a chill running down her spine. She turned her head in surprise to look at the female next to her, unsure if that comment came from Claire seeing as hazel eyes were still locked straight ahead.

"I am sorry?"

"He will never want you" The voice sounded so fierce, the comment felt like Kuki was being punched in the gut. "So stop kidding yourself that he will."

"I don't understand" She asked, trying her best to show no weakness and stray strong. But she didn't know how long she could hold on for. A nasty scoff came from beside her, the devil turning to face her victim.

"You are so stupid! I will make this very clear for you then. You could have had him, but you missed your chance. He's mine now! Our relationship is amazing, the sex is amazing. We are totally happy! So just butt out and leave us alone."

There was a long pause afterwards as Claire flashed a flirtatious smile and a tiny wave at Wally who had looked over for a second. Returning a smile at his girlfriend and his friend who managed to fake as small one back. Kuki couldn't help wonder if he looked over to make sure they hadn't torn each to shreds yet.

The Australian's attention was snatched away as the bored looking cashier called him over to pay.

The moment he turned away, Claire dropped her innocent looking act and spoke to Kuki while gritting her teeth.

"You need to snap out of your dream world Kuki, it's never gonna happen." As Wally approached them, bag in hand, Claire neutralised her look just after hissing. "I don't care, how you do it but make an excuse and go."

Kuki was visibly shaken by what just happened. Every word felt like she was continuously being punched in the gut. Deciding it was wise to follow the jealous girlfriends advise, she put her phone back into her handbag, not even remembering when she took it out.

"All ok?" Wally bounced up to the pair, grinning from ear to ear. The question was aimed at no one in particular, Claire nodded innocently to answer him. As the blonde looked at Kuki he then her odd facial expression. "Kuki"

She hadn't yet looked at him, as she tried to compose herself, willing the tears not to form just yet. She had the courage to finally look up, her voice coming out shaky rather that the confidant one she wanted.

"Yeah, I just got a text from mum, she wants me to pick up Mushi from her friends house. So I got to go."

"Well we can drop you off." Wally offered, smiling warmly at her. That only made Kuki feel worse.

"N..No you and Claire stay here." The Japanese insisted. "Its not a far walk and you both still need to eat."

"But..."

"Wally baby, let her go if she needs to go." The female sneered, pretending to be caring as she latched onto his arm. "After all I am sure it's no fun for her acting a gooseberry with us two around." He nodded in agreement, oblivious to what mind games she was playing on him.

"Didn't think of it that way"

"Yeah, so I better go" Kuki said, already walking away from them. "So will see you later."

"Yeah see ya Kooks" Wally bid her, sounding a bit disappointed his friend was leaving him.

"Bye Bye" Claire practically cheered and waved. It was as if she was mocking her.

Kuki now stood alone, upset and now with no way to get home. She panicked needing to leave the mall quickly not to look suspicious when Wally and Claire walk out of the shop.

So Kuki text the only person she knew would be able to help her. Tapping on her smart phone to send a quick message to Abby.

Can u come pick me up plz?

To her relief she got a nearly immediate reply.

K, will meet u at taxi drop off in 10

Sending her a quick thank you, Kuki slowly wondered towards her meeting point, trying her best to prevent more tears streaming down her face.

That was exhausting to write, espcially the flashback.

Anyway hope you liked it, going to make a start on the next chapter now, not telling a date as I am terribly unreliable with deadlines.

Please review! :D
