I am Ash
Ash heard the distinct sound of heavy breathing. This came from both the Roserade and its trainer. However, there was a distinction. The Roserade's breathing was shallow and short due to its tiredness. Roserade had been launching attack after attack without rest, and in its frustration the pokemon grew hasty and unfocused.
On the other side of things, the trainer was seeing red in frustration. His attacks were failing and there was nothing he could do. Even more frustrating was the fact the opponent's Pikachu was sleeping, as well as its trainer.
"Grr. What's wrong, Reflect? Can't seem to attack? Meowth got your tongue?", Drew taunted. He was now trying to make his opponent angry. Drew was tired and impatient. His pride had taken a huge hit. Ash recognized that Drew's big head needed a little deflating, so he was going to make this fun.
Ash let out a chuckle. "What's so funny?", Drew asked with an annoyed voice. Ash looked at Drew and smiled, "You want offense? Have some." Drew tensed at the confident and sure voice that Ash contained. He couldn't help but sweat a little.
"Hey Pikachu, wake up bud.", Ash called out. Pikachu pretended to wake up from a deep sleep and gave out a yawn. He groggily wiped at his face before giving a grin at the tired Roserade.
Drew gave a false smile and prepared for attack. He recognized that he needed to play more conservative. He also knew that Roserade could take any electric attack. He had the type advantage. Or so he thought.
Ash gave another wicked grin to join his Pikachu before he issued a command. "Use Tackle!", Ash yelled with glee. Drew gasped in surprise, "What? What do you mean? Why does your Pikachu know that move?!"
Ash shrugged on purpose. Really though, it was because Arceus had granted Ash multiple abilities. One of which was that his pokemon had the ability to retain and relearn any possible move. Therefore, even the most basic of moves were attainable. This also meant that theye could remember more than four moves at a time, which helped greatly. A secondary ability was that his pokemon could use any source of energy or power that Ash had, such as Aura. Arceus had told Ash that there were other powers, but that it was not time to find them. Most of Ash's pokemon could use his powers, but to a limited extent. A few amount of others had greater. Over all, Ash's pokemon were incredibly formidable in more than just their natural powers.
Pikachu charged in, glowing slightly yellow as he picked up speed. Roserade braced itself, but only halfheartedly. The pokemon clearly underestimated the attack, just like its trainer. Pikachu reached its target and instead of attacking directly, Pikachu actually used a short Extremespeed to get behind the Roserade. He then struck it in the back with his Tackle, sending the Roserade forward and straight into the wall, knocking it out.
Drew let out a call of shock as he saw his Roserade faint from a single attack. "What? How did it just...", Drew's eyes widened as he returned the fallen rose. Ash gave a devilish grin once more, "Not my fault your eyes are slow." Drew clenched his teeth.
Pikachu ran back over to Ash and sat back down with his arm crossed, giving Drew a glare. Drew reached back to his pocket, and threw his second pokemon out.
"And it looks like Reflect has forced Drew into his second pokemon with only a Tackle attack! Amazing!", the announcer shouted, earning a glare from Drew. Drew's pokemon turned out to be his Absol. The white fur bristled in the wind as the Disaster Pokemon sized up his opponent. Judging from his master's look, he knew to be careful.
Pikachu looked back to Ash. 'Ash can I just wipe the floor with these jokes?' , Pikachu pleaded. Ash really wanted to mess around, but gave up. 'Okay, but Physical attacks only.', he told the mouse. Pikachu smiled with glee once more.
Ash sat back down, but didn't pretend to sleep this time. He just watched the two pokemon prepare to fight. Drew attacked first, "Absol go use quick attack!" The white furred pokemon ran with a burst of speed towards the little mouse. Pikachu returned the gesture by using its own quick attack, although his seemed to be even faster than Absol's. The two pokemon spent minutes attacking each other, matching blow for blow.
Drew felt sweat coming on. He couldn't even see the two pokemon, but his opponent looked as if he could see every movement. Doubt crept into the green haired boy's mind. He was all alone in this battle. His friends were all busy with their own battles or were spectating.
After what seemed like an eternity of white and yellow blurs, both pokemon stopped and stood by their trainers. Absol breathed heavily while Pikachu stood there quietly. Drew felt so outclassed. His Pokemon could do nothing to his opponent's. But his arrogance came through.
"Absol, use Hyper Beam!", Drew called out. Ash told Pikachu to simply dodge it when it came. Absol used the powerful attack on Pikachu. As the orange beam reached Pikachu, he used dig and went underground. Drew didn't see the Pikachu and assumed that it was knocked out.
He then witnessed his Absol being flung up into the air. Drew noticed the little bulge in the ground and realized what happened. Sadly, his Absol was recovering from both the Dig attack and the Hyper Beam.
Ash looked at Pikachu and nodded. Pikachu ran up to the unmoving Absol with a certain glint his eyes. It was pity. Pikachu touched Absol's forehead and sent a Thunderbolt into it. The Absol fainted at once
Drew clenched his teeth and returned Absol. "Enough games, go Flygon!", Drew shouted in both confidence and desperation. A large green dragon with red goggle-like eyes appeared. It gave a screech before charging forward at Pikachu without command.
Flygon charged with a glowing dragon claw. He struck Pikachu right in the face, and Pikachu let out a scream. Blood flowed out of its left cheek, almost cutting its pouch. Ash stood up with surprise and anger. Drew had a smug smile that enjoyed seeing a hit finally happen.
Ash let out a snarl and he slightly glowed blue as he looked at Drew from under his hoodie. Drew kept smiling as his ego inflated even more despite not even taking out one pokemon yet. Ash had a darker glint in his eyes; they turned into a dark and emotionless brown.
"You made a wrong move. Your arrogance shall cost you.", Ash darkly spoke. The sky seemed to darken as Ash spoke. Drew lost a little bit of his confidence, but held his ground. "Come at me, you dumb shit!", Drew called.
"Gladly."
Pikachu stood back up and ignore the blood running down his face. He glowed a bright yellow and then a bright blue. "Pikachu, go! Heavenly Lightning Smash!", Ash commanded.
"Flygon, use your own Spinning Dragon Rush!", Drew commanded. Flygon started to spin while glowing a light purple. It turned into a little sandstorm of purple and charged. Pikachu glowed dark blue as he took in electricity. The area of the sky crackled and it started to rain. Pikachu became a huge blue ball of lightning, about three times the size of Flygon.
Pikachu shot up into the air, gaining speed as he went up. Pikachu looked like a blue mini-Sun. Flygon gave chase, but lacked the speed to catch up. When Pikachu reached his destination, he dove straight down while spinning to reduce drag.
Pikachu and Flygon rammed straight into each other like two meteors clashing in the sky. Pikachu sent out a primal roar. Wait. What? Ash looked up at his Pikachu using his Aura Vision. Instead of seeing a mouse like electric Pokemon, he saw a golden dragon. Ash suddenly heard a voice in his head.
'Ash. It is me, Arceus.'
Ash nodded. 'Why is my Pikachu suddenly a dragon?', Ash questioned.
'Ash, it is because of your bond. The years of your friendship have allowed Pikachu to gain a new form: Primal.', Arceus explained. Ash widened his eyes. 'I know that this is new to you, but you must know that this transformation is dangerous. I urge you to not try to get any other Pokemon to learn this. They must do it by themselves. The two years of solitude that Pikachu had had helped him achieve this.' Ash couldn't help but feel proud. 'Thank you, Arceus. I will be careful.'
Ash felt the presence disappear and looked back up to the two struggling pokemon. Pikachu's Primal Form gave him such an advantage. Flygon widened its eyes in fear and lost its momentum. The purple energy was lost from the green dragon and it took the Heavenly Lightning Smash. Pikachu-P bore into Flygon and sent him into the ground. Pikachu-P let out another roar before returning back to its normal form while the dust covered him.
Ash sighed in relief as no one realized that his little mouse turned into a dragon. He saw Drew crack and run to his green dragon. Ash quickly healed the Flygon slightly, enough to keep it alive in time for the Pokemon center. Ash picked up Pikachu and sent out Pidgeot. He commanded Pidgeot to take them back to the house. He could hear the announcer as he flew away.
"Wow! What just happened! It seems that Reflect has won and left immediately. Drew has also left for the Pokemon Center! Amazing! Reflect passes into the next round while Drew has to win one more battle to make it in!", the announcer concluded. The crowd went wild in excitement the battle was declared over.
Ash POV
After dropping off Pikachu for Meganium to heal, I allowed Pidgeot to rest. I called out my Charizard. "Charizard, take me to Cynthia's battle."
He let out a growl and took off as I jumped onto his orange neck. I asked for Charizard to drop me off at the top of the open stadium. From there I would be able to watch the battle.
I returned my orange dragon to its ball and I perched myself at the top of the stadium. I watched as Cynthia was battling her opponent. It was currently her Togekiss against a Staraptor. I looked at the score board. Togekiss was Cynthia's first pokemon while Staraptor was her opponent's second. Cynthia was battling some poor trainer.
He wasn't supposed to be her opponent, but her original opponent never showed up. This new opponent was extremely arrogant and believed that he could crush the champion. Needless to say, he was wrong.
Cynthia's Togekiss used a Dazzling Gleam attack followed by an Aura Sphere. The pink and blue orbs hit Staraptor and it was downed. Her opponent quickly admitted defeat, in fear of hurting his pokemon even further.
I was impressed by Cynthia's ability to think so quickly. I could teach her a lot.
I quickly sent out Charizard again. "Charizard. I'm going to jump down there and grab Cynthia. Follow me and pick us up when I grab her." Charizard nodded.
I leaped down onto the battle field, making sure to glow slightly blue. I picked my favorite blondie up and hopped onto Charizard as he flew us back to our house.
"Miss me?", I asked with a playful grin as she recovered from the shock of being thrown onto my orange dragon. She smiled and gave me a hug. "Yes.", she answered. That made my heart soar. I've noticed that my heart beats faster when she's around. Her beautiful gray eyes and flowing blonde hair cause my eyes to believe that they've gone to heaven.
We stay in a hug until we get back to the house. I returned Charizard and grabbed Cynthia's hand within my own before walking into the backyard of the house. We walked over to my Meganium.
"How is Pikachu doing?", I asked her. She looked at me with hopeful eyes. I smiled back. Pikachu would be fine. Cynthia asked me what had happened. "It's hard to explain. Let's just say that he used a lot of power."
She gave me a disappointed look, but nodded in acceptance. I squeezed her hand to try and make her feel better, but it didn't work. I'll figure something out. Cynthia asked, "Who did you battle today?"
I looked at her and my gaze hardened, "Drew." She looked a little confused. "I knew him from my travels. He hangs around with my former friends.", I spoke with steel in my voice. She nodded, knowing that it would anger me to see my so called friends.
"Ash. Can you tell me why you are so mad at them? You talked to May, right? She was one of your friends.", Cynthia asked me with worry implanted in her voice. I looked at her and sighed. It was about time.
"When I disappeared, Arceus allowed me to watch my friends. I watched them all forget me. I watched them disrespect my mother and my home. They stood there and blamed me for everything. May did not do that as much, but she tended to agree with them. I only talked to her because she needed closure. Did you notice how quickly she just gave me to you? Did you think that was because she would rather not hurt me like she said? No. She just wanted me to say that I wanted to be with her, thinking that I wouldn't go with you.", I explained, my heart wrenching at the thought of my mother.
Cynthia's gray eyes filled with sadness. "But you're with me now, right?", she timidly asked. I nodded and pulled her in for a kiss. Our tongues battled and I let her take control. Going for air, we broke away, gasping. She laid on top of me.
"Ash Ketchum...", she whispered. My face heated up, "Yes?"
She seemed to be in thought for a little while. "Never mind.", she said. I felt disappointed, feeling as if I wanted to hear something come from her mouth. I shook it off.
"Let's get some ice cream.", I decided, knowing it would cheer her up. She loves ice cream way to much. We stood up and walked out of the front of the house. We went up to an ice cream stand.
I quickly ordered a double scoop of mint chocolate ice cream. I looked over to Cynthia, who currently had her hand on her chin. "Cynthia, come on. Order.", I gently suggested. She looked over to me and sighed. "I don't know what to get! There's so many good flavors! Strawberry is awesome, but I also might want pecan vanilla.", she cutely pouted.
I slumped my shoulders. "Okay, how about I order for you?", I asked. She looked at me. She then nodded, "Fine. But it better be good!"
I laughed. "Alright. Please get her the gummy worm special.",I ordered. This was a cone of ice cream with two scoops of chocolate. After the first scoop, there were sprinkles. On top of the second scoop were cookie crumbs, as well as gummy worms. It was amazing.
Cynthia and I quickly went over to our front porch and sat down, enjoying our ice cream. I wrapped an arm around her and looked at her cute face that she made when she ate ice cream. We sat there, enjoying each others warm embrace as we ate the cold ice cream.
The mix of fire and ice within us felt like perfection.
Annnnd done! Yay! Another chapter! Now to time to write for my other stories. -sigh- Anyways, I hope you enjoyed, especially the battle and the ice cream. I got that idea from a review ;) As for the Ash saying 'I Love You', that will be later. I want to have their relationship grow even more before that. It will be monumental.
I also hope you like my idea of 'Primal' form. It just popped up and I thought it was cool. Pikachu Dragons for the win! Also, for Ash's pokemon, he has more than just shown. Being the King of Pokemon makes it so he can have any pokemon. Although his pokemon before the disappearance are always on him, he has others kept with Arceus. I'm just pointing this out so that later there will be no confusion when I say he has an Empoleon or whatever.
Review! :)
