Danny Phantom: Secrets and Trials

(Author's Notes: Hi everyone. How are you all doing? I hope you all are doing well. As for myself… well, I have seen better days but I am getting through it.
Before anything, I want to give thanks to the Lord. God, thank you for helping me with everything. Even though I have had up & down days, you have stuck by me and helped me through each day. I really appreciate it. Jesus, please continue to be with me, my family, my friends and everyone else out there that look to you for help. Please continue to give your loving and guiding hand and word to all.
As you can see, I have had my better… and not so better days. I have been in a bit of a funk for a while. It's a combination of both personal matters, and also not getting much reviews. I do not know why both this, and my Total Drama/Hyrule Warriors stories are not getting as much reviews as I have been hoping. Combine that with still not coming up with anything to try and show Disney or Toho my Monsters and Magic series… well, now you know.
Well, let me thank at least the ones who did manage to review this story here! Ahem…
To SaurusRock625: Thank you for the colorful and energetic review! Sam is going to be in a struggle, and I am not talking about the physical kind. What will happen to her… only time will tell, my friend!
To Nightwing5123: Thank you for the short but very welcomed review. I like to make sure that each character is given due, be it good or bad. May take a bit of time and insight, but its how I like to roll. Especially with this story.

Samantha is indeed slipping down, yet she does not realize it yet. She is going to learn some hard lessons along the way, but that I am going to keep a secret for now. Indeed, Tucker has some shady characters on his tail. But thanks to a fellow reviewer here, he will have help… and also a shot at real love!
Also, quite correct about the Ghost King. He is many things, but a fool he is not especially when it comes to ruling his domain. Valerie will also aid Jazz when the time comes. And as for Vlad plus the parent Fenton's… indeed, they are biting much more than they can chew!

Like explained before to Kixen, he is many things but he is not a fool when it comes to seeing the big picture. Especially where it concerns supernatural beings that devour his kind purely for the sick joy of it.

Heh, Vlad is making you mad like the legendary & classic Tasmanian Devil? Then you're going to be roaring through the many plains when he concocts his latest scheme later on! Samantha is at the moment focused on Danny, so her future is up in the air at the moment. But thanks to you… Tucker will soon have his lady love, a better half that will compliment him very much!
To bluemarvel0: Thank you yet again for your review! Short, but sweet and to the point! Yes, Kitty does seem to have a bit of bad luck at the moment… and she's not even with Johnny 13! Maddie and Jack are truly playing with something that will really burn them if they do not see it yet. And as for Jazz, she will talk to someone soon about the visions she saw. But where and when… that is a secret!
And finally to Kingdom Lightz: Thank you for the review, new friend! Desiree will get some screen time, and also date time with Danny. In this chapter, Danny and Samantha have a little talk to one another, Tucker meets a new friend that helps him out, Kitty gets a bit of aid from a VERY unexpected being… and finally, a certain demon re-emerges in the story! I will do my best to make sure every character is shown in top form, that much I promise! And I really do hope to see more reviews soon.
Also, just so you know… trying to find out & work with certain time zone differences. Such as when it's evening in the United States, it could be either morning or afternoon in other lands such as Australia. So if I missed some key detail, please let me know. Being corrected is actually welcomed in most cases such as this.
Finally, also trying to incorporate info here into the story like they used to do in the past when entertainment combined with educational information. I remember watching a lot of good programs that made learning very cool, such as Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego, Where On Earth Is Carmen Sandiego, Legends of the Hidden Temple and more back in the 1990s!
I do not own Danny Phantom or the characters from said series, as they belong to Butch Hartman when the cartoon series aired on Nickelodeon. I do own my OC creations, but always want to show & give credit where it is due. I also do not own the Yu-Gi-Oh series; the manga versions appearing in 1996 & published by Shueisha. Written by Kazuki Takahashi and featured in Weekly Shōen Jump magazine. The anime series appeared in 1998, directed by Hiroyuki Kakudō and owned by company Toei Animation Studio.
Any songs I might use here in this story, I will give full credit and props to those that created it. The artist/artists will receive the full credit and right that is his/hers/theirs. Same with movies I show here as well.

Chapter 11
In the land of Australia, it was relatively peaceful afternoon in the capital city of Sydney that laid in New South Wales. Many people were going to and fro about their daily lives, tourists in the metropolis by the bay taking pictures of the famous Sydney Harbour. Said area held world-class structures such as the famous Sydney Opera House & Sydney Harbour Bridge. The opera house was designed by Danish architect Jørn Utzon in 1957, constructed and completed in 1973. Many top-class performances have been performed at said building over the years, and it was rumored that it was going to be a UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) World Heritage Site soon!
The bridge was also famous, nicknamed The Coathanger because of its arch-based design. It was built by a British firm called Dorman Long and Co. Ltd of Middlesbrough and opened in 1932, the design itself was said to be influenced by the Hell Gate Bridge that was in New York City.
Many citizens went about their daily business in the harbor area, some sitting down and enjoying the afternoon sun. These particular individuals were reading the local newspaper, and some information within said article was a bit disturbing as well as bizarre. According to a journalist who was investigating into the matter, a number of dead animals had started to show up eastward from the city. While the number of dead were quite small, it was the very manner & nature of death that had many scientists and specialist confused. The ones who found the deceased animals stated that it smelled awful, reeking of something even worse than death itself some proclaimed. And that the bodies were rotted away completely, but in a manner that was perplexing. Add to the fact that even flies would drop dead after touching the carcass, and also that vultures & other scavengers would not go anywhere near the object… it had many specializing in deaths quite stunned.
In fact, according to the article, the dead animals were now indicating to form a line of sort… straight to Sydney! While some were a bit alarmed, fearing that it was an epidemic of sort that was coming, most just brushed it off as something that the officials in health and such could handle.
Walking towards the harbor was a young Australian man, his gaze set upon the waters as he walked past the people. He was silent and firm, yet had a malicious air around him that caused some bystanders to give him berth as he walked. The young man was heading towards the cruise ships that were docked at the bay, some of them resupplying while others were ready to take off. The being walked past the crowds, soon slipping silently into the darkness as he made his way towards one of the ships.
The stranger looked around to see if any other living soul was around, and was relieved internally as no other humans were around the area. He said in a deep voice that did not belong to him, "It is good that no other humans are here. After learning about these air and ocean travels these humans use, I just had to change my plan…". It was the demon from earlier! He had possessed many animals on his way to Sydney, and had somehow manage to now possess a human vessel! This fiend had used his new unfortunate victim to look up on various ways to get from the mainland he was on now to the United States. However, he soon discovered that any form of human transportation would take too much time… and time was something he could not afford to waste.
So he came up with a new plan on the go, and that was to possess a marine animal that would be swift enough to make the journey to his target! Along the way, he discovered something interesting in the mind of his unwilling host. The demon peeked into his memories, and saw that the human had loved to watch classic American shows & movies. His favorite was both the 1964 TV series and the 1991 movie called The Addams Family, and his favorite character in both shows was Uncle Fester.
Seeing that he needed a name at the moment, the demon decided to take said name due to his true nature of festering a poor being with his power. So now the demon referred to himself as… Captain Fester!
The possessed human's brown eyes glowed red briefly before looking at the ocean water below him, trying to find a suitable marine life form to inhabit. After a few minutes of searching, Capt. Fester lucked out as something close was swimming by the pier he was on. It was a young short-beaked common dolphin, a species that was plentiful in the warmer waters of the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. He smirked, but it had an evil quality that would make most beings shudder. He called out, "Come here, little dolphin… come here. I just need to see you for a moment.".
Unfortunately for the C-ranked, Spiritual-class demon, marine animals were a bit more in-tune with nature than some give them credit for. And this dolphin sensed right away that the human before him was un-natural, and kept its distance from him. Capt. Fester soon snarled, seeing his quarry was smarter than the land animals he had possessed earlier. He looked around to see if he could use anything to get the dolphin by force… but it seemed that his luck changed for the better.
While he was trying to get the marine mammal to come his way, Fester didn't notice that a pier worker had noticed the noise he was making. He had followed him to the sound, where he spotted the disguised demon yelling at the water. He walked over to him and stated, "Hey, you! What are you doing here? This place is authorized personnel only!". Capt. Fester slowly rose up, and turned his head and body to face the newcomer who had interrupted him. The worker was now hesitant, feeling something very off coming from the interloper before him.
His fear was confirmed when he saw the brown eyes of the man shift from said color… to a bloody-red one that spooked him out big time!
Unluckily for the mortal, the demon was faster than he was. The human he was within at the moment had been training all his life, in the specific sport of running. He grabbed the startled human, and threw him into the water! It was due to a combination of sudden action and surprise that made it possible for Capt. Fester to throw the larger man into the ocean. The dolphin nearby was startled by this, but sadly… its actions were also slow.
Capt. Fester leapt out of his mortal vessel, the poor soul letting out a final shriek that was his own voice before his body started to melt away… a truly ugly and terrible sight to see that would give even the most hardened of battle veterans nightmares for weeks! The pier worker sputtered as he waved his arms frantically to keep himself afloat, but the very last thing he saw when he looked up was a red-brown cloud of sort… and within said cloud was a pair of red eyes that was malicious in any & all forms. The human was possessed, but it was only briefly as it used the mortal body as a skipping stone of sort. Capt. Fester than leapt from the short distance from the human to the dolphin, sinking into its being as started to possess the marine lifeform.
The pier worker was unlucky as the sudden possession of the demon caused him to go into shock, and he slowly sank under the water… where he took his last breaths before being released from the mortal coil.
The dolphin thrashed around, trying to throw off the un-natural being that was now within him. The sea animal was strong, but Fester was stronger. In a matter of minutes, the thrashing stopped… and the normally brown eyes of the dolphin were replaced by red ones that spoke of evil. The demon thought, 'Hehehehe… oh yes! This new form will get me to my destination faster than the cruise ships! I will have to eat to maintain this form's strength, but so it goes… or until I find another suitable host. Hehehehe….'. The possessed dolphin than noticed two lights coming from the sky, and instantly realized that angels were coming to collect the foolish mortals that he had possessed earlier.
Capt. Fester quickly swam away from the area, utilizing his new form's body quickly to make a speedy getaway. The last thing he needed was to be spotted by the guidance angels that took the mortals to the Judgement plane… and said angels calling for the warriors ones that would make a quick kill out of him. Once he was a fair distance from the harbor, the demonic dolphin started to make a beeline for his destination… heading east to the United States!
~At Amity Park~
While all of this was happening halfway across the globe, a situation was occurring at the place where much supernatural occurrences happen like its normal… somewhat. Tucker Foley had made it back home with little to no incident, saying hi to his parents before going to his room to fire up his computer. He really wanted to see if he could find any old but incriminating photos that would help against Vigoro Strongarm. While he was doing that, the two hired goons of said person were now on a rooftop of an apartment building that was across from the teen's home. The agents were using binoculars to see if they could locate their quarry so they could see what Tucker was up to.
The techno-savvy African-American teenager was on his computer, typing away fast as he went onto the Yahoo website to see if he could find any photos. His fingers flew on the keyboard, typing in various hacker codes that he and a select few around the entire country knew about. While some used these codes for less than good intentions, Tucker had a good moral compass, and thus did not use said codes unless absolutely necessary. As he was typing away, he got an Instant Message from his MSN Messenger box. It was from Hot_Dakota_Lady4123, a girl that often chatted with Tucker online from time to time. Though the two did talk frequently over MSN, they had never seen each other in person.
He answered the message: Hey Dakota! What's up?
Hot_Dakota_Lady4123: Hey Ladies_Man_Genius! Listen, you got some creeps looking in on you from across your home! They're on the rooftop, and I think they're looking into your room!
That particular message both stunned and confused Tucker, wondering on how this person knew where he lived. He went from his computer, going to his window and looking outside… his eyes panning up to see that indeed, two guys in business suits were looking at his window with binoculars! The goons saw that they had been spotted, and quickly retreated from the area. This got the computer teen very nervous and perplexed, wondering why those two men were doing that. He did not see the logos on their jackets, as they had been a bit too far to see clearly with the naked eye.
Foley went back to his computer and responded: Thanks for the info, Dakota! But… how did you know?
Hot_Dakota_Lady4123: I think it's time we met in person. We've known each other over MSN for a year now, but I believe it's time to really meet. I will be at your house in 5 minutes. Hope to see you there!
That is when she signed-off from MSN, leaving Tucker both nervous and confused. While it would be good to see his online friend in person for the first time, he was told about the dangers of meeting a stranger for the first time. Especially if they met only online. Foley was no fool, as he was quite aware of the dangers that came from meeting others over the World Wide Web.
He closed his window blinds that were in his room, then went downstairs to wait for this mysterious friend to appear. His mother Rachael saw him come back down the stairs, a bit puzzled since her son rarely came down from his room after school. She asked, "Tucker dear, why are you down here? And… why are you nervous all of a sudden?".
Tucker answered, "I just got a message from one of my MSN friends, saying that she is going to be coming over here. She wants to meet me in person, since we have been talking to one another for a year.". His mother had a slight stunned look on her face, while his father Henry sitting in the living room was having a concerned look on his.
Henry stated, "I see… just be careful, son. You know that there are some serious predators out there, both in the real world and in cyberspace.". Tucker promised that he would be careful, as he readied himself for the one who had helped him out earlier.
Soon, the doorbell rang and when Tucker opened it… he was greeted by a sight that he believed came from Heaven itself!
Standing before him on the doorstep was a very lovely young lady, one that could stand up to Paulina's beauty! She had jet black hair that was medium-length, but done with two small braids on the side of her head. Her skin was a luscious light brown skin color, with eyes a deep earth-brown. Her lips were a light red color, and in a smile that was very welcoming. Her build was amazing as well, showing that she was lean and sleek with muscles that came from extensive physical training. Also, had a very ample bust that was close to D-size! Not an actual D-cup, but close to it. She was wearing a modest white t-shirt with blue jeans that gave her a bit of a country look.
Tucker was just stunned silly, his eyes wide as he drank in the sight of the lovely lady. Rachael and Henry came to the door to see who it was since their son was a bit in a catatonic state. The parents were also amazed to see that standing before them was a young teenage girl. She giggled slightly, her voice soft and carrying a quality that endeared Tucker to her almost instantly. She spoke, "Hi there Tucker. My name is Macawi Kohana, or as you know me as my online name Hot_Dakota_Lady4123. I'm also a Junior student at Casper High.".
The techno-teen regained his senses as he was very stunned by the news and exclaimed, "Wow! You're… you're beautiful! And you go to our school?! How come I've never seen you?!". Macawi blushed at being called beautiful, her cheeks gaining a slight red color that made her look cuter to the lad.
Racheal smiled and said, "Well come on in, child. No sense in you just standing there in the doorway. Come in, come in!". Macawi walked into the abode, thanking the lovely mother for letting her in. Henry looked as his wife guided the young lady into the home, than chuckled and ribbed his son with a good-natured smile.
He stated in a low voice meant only for his son, "Wow! I was expecting something completely different, but… wow! You lucked out, son! Good luck with her!". Tucker got his mind back to full function, glaring at his father and making a bit of a whining sound as he went to follow the ladies in the living room.
Once everyone was seated, with Miss Kohana looking at the place & finding it very comfortable, it was Tucker that actually started with the questions. He asked, "Okay Macawi, I just have a few questions for you. First off, are you really from Casper High? I mean, I know almost every girl there but never seen you before.".
The young lady nodded, understanding why Tucker would be cautious. And in reality, she was glad that he was questioning her like this. Showed that he was no fool, which was a big positive in her book. She reached in and pulled out her wallet, and pulled out her Casper High ID card. Tucker took it, and examined it with his mom right behind him as she was looking at it too. The African-American teen looked at it from all angles, and saw that the card was the genuine real deal.
Macawi answered, "The reason you probably never heard of me is because I mostly keep to myself. I'm kinda… well, shy. While I do socialize with some of the other students, I keep to myself most of the time. I usually train at the school when it's done on Tuesdays, Thursdays and on Saturdays. Coach Victoria usually lets me have access to the school gymnasium on Saturday.".
This made sense to Tucker as he never was around the school long enough when it ended to see any of the students practicing. Normally, he would come home and chill out in his room or hanging out with Danny & Sam. He continued, "Ah, I see. I guess I can understand that. But, how did you get here so fast? Does that mean you live nearby?".
She blushed again in a very pretty way as she answered, "Yes… I actually live in your area. My home is a five minute walk to yours.". Now THAT surprised Foley, as his friend on the Internet was a mere walk away from him in the flesh?!
He exclaimed, "You lived that close to me?! T-Than how come all this time-!?". Her blush became a bit deeper as she answered that again it was due to her shyness. While she was social to her close friends, she didn't have that much luck with strangers in person. She did see him during school hours, but couldn't talk to him due to him being around Danny and Samantha. And she figured that conversing and meeting online over MSN was the next best thing.
Tucker could also understand that as well. When he was young, he was shy too and didn't converse with people much. He took a liking to technology, and became hooked onto it for some time until he met Danny and Sam.
Henry inquired, "Young lady, your name… it sounds rather peculiar. Tell me, are you by chance… a Native American?".
Macawi had a look of good pride on her face as she answered, "Why, yes I am! I'm from the Spirit Lake Sioux tribe. My parents and I were born on the reservation near the shores of Devils Lake. I'm a pure Sioux as a matter of fact. We lived there for some time until my father got a job here at Amity Park about a year & a half ago.". Tucker remembered that he did see a moving van down the street during that particular time, but unfortunately he was pre-occupied with other things… such as helping his friend Danny adjust to life when he became half-ghost. He was surprised though more on that his new acquaintance was a pure-blooded Native American.
Rachael than asked on how old she was, and Miss Kohana answered that she was 17 years of age. She was just a year and a half older than Tucker, which was no problem for both parents and teenager. The mature woman continued, "By the way, how come you have picked this particular time to meet my son in the flesh? Do you have a crush on him or something?". She was very much hoping that the answer would be yes, for it would warm her heart to see her only child go out with a young lady rather than spend most of his nights on the computer.
She blushed and was about to answer, when Tucker sprang into action. He jumped up from his spot on the couch and took Macawi's hand, surprising her and his parents. He stated, "Oh, wait! I need to ask her something about… a… ah! A new program she sent me yesterday! Miss Kohana, please follow me!". He then shot out of the living room quick, taking Macawi with him as they went into his room with the door soon closing shut.
Mr. & Mrs. Foley were stunned to see such action from their son, and Racheal was about to follow them up when a hand on her arm stopped her. Henry spoke, "Hold on dear. Best leave them be for now.". She was surprised to hear that coming from her other half, but he stated that Macawi looked to be decent enough & also well-behaved. For now, he was going to trust her and his son.
He had a small smile when he said, "Also… well, about time that my son is taking some action with the young lady! Heh, almost reminds me of when we met. Remember?". Rachael blushed and playfully swatted Henry on the arm, which he laughed softly before pulling her into his embrace on the loveseat he was on. The two were very close to one another on all levels, and were very comfortable with the closeness as it showed.
In Tucker's room, the lad had pulled Macawi into his room and closed the door. The young lady was very surprised by the African-American's bold actions, but before she could say anything, he said, "I'm sorry about doing that to you, Macawi. But I think that my folks would flip out if they found out about those two creeps that you told me about.".
The Native American beauty replied, "Well… okay. I guess I can understand that. But, why were those goons spying on you like that in the first place? They kinda look like government agents, given how they dressed like those characters from the movie Men In Black.".
Tucker answered, "I'm not sure of that myself. However, if my hunch is correct… than things just got more complicated for me.". Macawi gave her online friend a look of confusion, and that was when Tucker decided to tell the situation concerning Vigoro Strongarm. Being careful to edit out some certain things, of course.
~At the Fenton House~
While Tucker was explaining things to his new acquaintance at his abode, Danny was walking up the steps to his home. The young man was smiling, his lips showing a faint but noticeable lipstick mark on them. It seemed that Valerie had left her mark on him after he had escorted her to her abode. Valerie's father had watched from the window, but didn't look upset or anything. More than anything, he was glad that his daughter had seemingly gotten back together with Danny. It seemed that in the father's eyes, Danny had his stamp of approval.
The young lad and hero made it back home with five minutes to spare, ready to start his Bible Study. He opened the door and saw that everything was quiet. Danny realized that his parents were still working in the lab, and also that Jazz most likely had gone to her room to study. He did remember what Valerie told him on what she observed from her earlier, and was tempted to talk to Jazz… but decided that it would be better if Valerie did it. He believed that perhaps his bonded companion would have a bit more better luck with his sister than him.
He walked up the stairs to his room, leaving the door open however just in case any of his family members emerged and wanted to talk to him. The young lad than picked up his Bible and started to read, going to the passages of Genesis were he started to read about Joseph the Dreamer. Danny had come a bit of a ways in his reading of the book, and was now at Genesis 37 where the story of Joseph began. Time flew on, and the halfa was at the part where the dreamer was interpreting the two dreams that was told to him by Pharaoh's servants when a knock came at the front door. Danny was a bit startled by the noise, and he checked his clock to see that it was now 5:45 p.m. He still had fifteen minutes left, but decided to end the study at the moment.
He went downstairs and opened the door to see a smiling Samantha. His gothic friend said, "Hey Danny! I finished my homework a little early, so mind if I come in?". The teen nodded and let Sam in, who made herself comfortable on the couch in the living room. The young man sat next to her on said object as well.
He asked, "So Sam, what do you want to do now? Talk? Watch a movie or show?". Danny was glad to see his friend, that much was clear. However… he felt something was a bit off about the gothic beauty. It was subtle and faint, but there nonetheless. He couldn't quite put his finger on it, but even he could see something was a bit amiss with her.
Sam answered, "Well… actually… I do want to talk to you about something.". When he inquired to what she wanted to talk about, the uneasy feeling within his being grew when Samantha answered that she wanted to talk about Desiree and the rest of the girls.
She started out, "Danny I… well… when the beings above said that those five girls were going to be your soulmate, weren't you a bit upset? I mean, having others choose who you're going to be with instead of having the choice yourself?". Samantha was now going in with her attack, her mission to try something to form a splint between her crush and the others.
The halfa hero sighed as he answered, "Well… to tell you the truth, not really. I mean, sure it was a bombshell not just for me, but for the rest of the girls as well. But after what has happened so far… I believe that we really like the idea of being together like this. How the rest of the future goes though, it's still up in the air as it were…".
Samantha was stunned to hear the words from Danny's mouth, especially since it sounded mature and such. She stated, "Are you kidding?! I mean… Paulina and Star barely paid much attention to you as Fenton, and Valerie made her choice when she got that new suit from Technus awhile back! And Desiree and Dora… they were your enemies back than! And even though they are back to life, they are adults now! And you're just fifteen or so years old!".
Danny frowned as the words left Sam, the uneasy feeling increasing ever so slightly as the conversation continued. He replied, "Sam, all of them have changed. In fact, I believe they have changed for the better ever since we met the gods and goddesses in the higher levels. You have seen that as much as I have, and as for Dora and Desiree… well, have to ask them about it. And also my teachers back in Sanctuary. And truth be told… well, it's just exciting to being loved by older women.". A small smile was on his face as he remembered the hugs and kisses he got from the former ghost genie and dragon princess.
He added, "Also, I believe that they were chosen is that the higher ones see something in them that many do not. Maybe… that they themselves could not see until now.". Danny had come to believe with all his being that the many heroes and heroines in the Bible were chosen for a reason that many did not see at all at first. In fact, he saw that the Lord chosen those that many thought were either lost causes or belonged to the side of the enemy at first. That He chose, and made them to be much more than they could ever do on their own.
Sam had her jaws dropping from hearing Danny's words, and her face was red as she saw the smile. She was losing the battle in trying to drive a wedge between her secret crush and her rivals. She changed tactics and asked, "About that… don't you think these changes are… well, not you? I mean, you've been moving quite fast ever since you accepted this so-called mission from the higher beings, and… well… I'm scared about seeing you taking action against bullies like Dash and the others.".
Fenton frowned again, but this time stood firm as he stood up. He looked to Sam straight in the eye, sighed and stated, "Sam, look. I know you don't like it when change comes and you want me to just keep my head low and take the hits. But the truth is… I believe these changes that I am going through are good. I myself like change, but only if it's of the good & right kind. I have been training to use my power, strength and abilities from teachers who know more about combat than I will ever know! And also, they have tempered my mind and teaching me wisdom and insight that have helped my heart, soul and spirit.". He lightly touched the spot on his chest where the demon Vertigo struck him some time ago, a phantom throb pulsing from said spot. That scar was a reminder on what happens when you go into battle half-cocked and unprepared.
He continued, "As for Dash and the other bullies… I've learned that keeping your head down is not enough. I now stand up for myself and others, and discern when to use physical force or not. Thanks to both my teachers and reading the Bible, I have learned when to stand firm & decide the time or not if physical force is needed. And when it's needed, I make sure that I hold back but to also defend myself as well as make my point.".
Samantha was very much stunned by his words, seeing her friend in a light that looked otherworldly. At least to her eyes. She was about to say something when he held his right hand up, stopping what words that were prepared to come from her lips. Danny stated, "Look Sam, you wanted to hang out here with me & I accepted that. But I think we should close this conversation now. If you still want to do something here, that's fine by me. But if you want to continue this line of conversation… than I'm afraid that you need to go.".
The gothic teenager was shocked his words, very much surprised that Danny would even say something like that. She wanted to jump and go on a rant on how he should listen to her, to take her words to heart and go back to the old Danny Fenton. But… she saw the look in his eyes, a firmness that showed he was not going to back down. He was empathetic yes, but he was not going to let his emotions rule him completely. Once he made a stand, he was convicted to stick with it. She sighed, realizing that the battle was lost… but inwardly stated that the war was far from over.
She retreated and said, "Yes… you're right. Let's just… close this conversation for now. Umm… how about we watch a movie instead? Do you have anything in mind?". To this, Danny smiled as he felt the uneasiness slowly melt away. Some of it was still within him, but it was tiny and inert… at least for now. The teenage went the DVD rack near the TV, and pulled out a movie at random. He showed it to her, and it was the 1993 Walt Disney live-action film The Three Musketeers. Fenton said that it was one of his favorites, and Sam smiled a little as she saw Danny happy for the time being.
In other areas of Amity Park, Danny's bonded felt a pulse of warmth and joy fill their beings if but briefly. It seemed that they felt the true gladness of their intended when Danny announced to Sam that he actually liked being with each of them. Paulina, Star, Valerie, Dora and Desiree made a mental note to give Danny some extra love next time they met.
~In the Ghost Zone~
While the others had good fortune in the mortal realm, Kitty Melicent was not enjoying herself at all. She had been wondering in the forested area of Purgatory, trying to come up with something to explain her new 'status' to Danny and his friends. She moaned out, "Ooooh… what do I do?! I just gained Danny's trust, and now this happens?! Awww… if I tell them what Pariah Dark just said, will they reject me? Will they… will they call me a traitor?! Will Danny…?!". Before she could go on her rant, a deep voice came from behind her that ceased her ramblings.
Said voice spoke, "Calm yourself, Kitty Melicent. You're getting worked up over nothing.".
Another voice, one that had a sinister quality to it, remarked, "Awwww, let her ramble away old man. Just seeing her running around like a chicken with its head cut off is very amusing to me.".
Kitty turned around, and was surprised to see Clockwork… and behind him a being she had never seen before! She inquired, "Master… Clockwork? What are you doing here? And… who is that behind you?". Kitty, like most spirits that inhabited the Ghost Zone, knew about the Semi-Immortal being. Clockwork could not die since he was linked to time itself, but was always changing. From infant, to man in his prime of life, to an aged one before resuming the cycle again. The keeper of time opted to stay in Purgatory, in a special part of it that could be accessed only by those that he deemed worthy.
Clockwork chuckled and answered, "My dear, I am here to help you out as you are in a critical junction. And the big one behind me is another being from an alternate reality.". Kitty was again stunned as she had heard about alternate realities, but never truly believed in them.
Dan Phantom did a little mock-bow and stated, "Dan Phantom… at your service. I am the improved version of Danny Phantom… many years in the future. Hehehe…". The young ghost lass shivered at the cool tone Dan used, and was now fearful that the sweet Danny she knew… would turn into this monster. While Dora and some of the other ghosts knew about his existence, Kitty did not.
Clockwork bopped the powerful fused ghost on the head with his staff, scowling and remarked, "Enough of that, Dan.".
The Semi-Immortal floated to Kitty and said, "Forgive me, young one. I should explain a bit more. This being is actually a fusion of Danny Phantom with Vlad Plasmius, and from a future that has been forever been erased due to young Fenton's actions. In fact… this version exists only because of my very will. Should I release it, he would vanish from existence entirely. Just a bad memory to be forgotten.". Kitty looked to the dark version of her friend, and saw the scowl on his face. This indicated to her that what Clockwork just said was true.
She looked to the keeper of time itself and replied, "Whew! That's a relief… though I question why you even keep him around in the first place if he's so dangerous.". Clockwork admitted that sometimes he wondered about that himself, chuckling which caused Kitty to join in, which made Dan's face scowl more deeply.
After the chuckles passed, Kitty got serious and looked to the now aged ghost. She inquired, "Okay, time to get serious here. You said I was at a critical junction… what do you mean?".
Clockwork smirked and answered, "Dear child, you believe that if you tell Danny and his divas about your new status, that they would reject you completely. I am here to say that it will not happen. Danny has changed much from his usual self, as you yourself witnessed just some time ago. If you simply explain what happened to him and the ladies, I believe that they will actually still keep you as a friend.". This brought great relief to her, Kitty much more calm & hopeful after hearing that.
The keeper of time continued, "Also, I am here to show you on why you need to tell Danny and the others about the proposed alliance offered by Pariah Dark. He will need you more in the future when the time comes, and an alliance with the King of All Ghosts gives Purgatory a chance to fight back when the time comes.".
Dan Phantom yawned and stated, "Oh, come on Clockwork. Do you really expect the child to truly aid this realm when the demons or devils come through? And also, why waste your time on someone like him? True he is getting stronger and better, but he is still no match against veterans of battle like me and Dark. I mean really, besides that demon beast Vertigo, what real harm could a real demon or devil do to the Ghost Zone?".
Kitty saw Clockwork glare at the evil counterpart of Phantom, and without saying a word… slammed his Time Staff to the ground where a pulse of blue energy rushed from the clock face! Kitty gasped while Dan Phantom merely raised his eyebrow, and the two soon saw that they were in a time bubble of sort. The area around them changed, as the ecto-covered forests were replaced with real ones from the mortal world. The bubble kept in place for about three minutes, then popped as Clockwork released it.
He turned to the duo and explained, "I have just sent us to middle of the Celestial Wars, a time that took place between 3,000 and 3,500 years ago in the past. Man was still extremely young, and the demons/devils from the Underworld had been released to plague the population. Both in the mortal world and in the Ghost Zone.". Kitty had her jaw drop, eyes wide as she realized she was in the very distant past… and in the mortal world! Clockwork put in that they were in what soon will be North Dakota in the future, but right now was wilderness and belonging to the Native Americans that inhabited the area back then.
Dan Phantom yawned, giving a bored look to the Semi-Immortal and asked, "Nice flash show there, old man. But… is there a particular reason you brought us here?".
Clockwork had a serious look on his face as he stated, "You wanted to see how strong a demon or devil was… well, you'll get your chance. Like I stated before, we are in the middle of the Celestial Wars. And this place was a battle site, just like the other places all over the globe. In fact… Kitty, get behind me now.". The ghost girl did as she was told, and not a moment too soon.
Emerging from the forest was a dark purple humanoid being, body and face of a man but upward horns on the side similar to bison horns. He was quite tall, around the 6'8 mark, with arms & legs that were long and gangly. It wore no clothing other than a simple loin cloth that covered the neither regions. Its eyes though… its eyes were a gleaming yellow color, with electric sparks occasionally zapping out from them. And completing the sinister appearance were large bat-like wings, ones wide but the membranes that made up the wings were transparent slightly and giving off an electrical charge.
Dan Phantom smirked and stated, "Now that is an impressive being… I could feel much power coming from it!". Said being looked at the fused ghost, and snarling as it licked its lips like a starving person would at a seven-course meal.
Clockwork was all business here, protecting Kitty who was whimpering at the very sight of the monster in front of them. He stated, "That is a Physical-class, A-ranked devil. Its name is Otaktay which translated in the Sioux language kills many. And this devil has indeed killed many, both mortal and spirit.". The devil beast cackled, some would think as a cliché kind of villain… but this particular one was chilling for Kitty, due to this monster knowing full well that it could easily dispose of them.
The keeper of time looked to Dan and stated, "Vertigo was a high C-class demon… let's see how you fare against a A-ranked devil.". He was all serious, as though he maybe a Semi-Immortal… even a potent being like what stood before him could give him trouble big time.
The fused form of evil grinned as he cracked his knuckles, now very anxious to finally have a chance to let loose after so long. He looked to his opponent, who did not flinch at all… but still grinned at him in the same manner as it stood ready to attack. Its wings spread out, electricity crackling all over his body. Dan Phantom smirked and stated, "Hahahaha! A chance to finally wreck some havoc! Okay devil… time to ground you!".
Otaktay merely licked his lips disgustingly and replied in a deep voice, "Tasty spirit… you will give me much power after I devour you!". The two charged at one another, the sky alive with lighting as a storm had just arrived! It was now a battle in the past… battle between fused ghost & A-ranked devil!
(Author's Notes: And… cut! That is it for this chapter! I hope you all liked it, was a bit difficult for me to write.
Before anything, want to give thanks to the Lord. God, thank you once again for helping me with this story. Usually stories that concern something other than Disney and Godzilla are difficult to do, you have helped me much with this one. So it seems that Tucker has a new acquaintance & he can thank Dreams Come True 996 for that! I made the appearance of Macawi from the beautiful & courageous Tiger Lily who appears in Disney's animated classic film Peter Pan in 1953. I did make a bit of changes here and there, which I hope you approve of. Also I got her name from the Sioux tribe that inhabit the Dakota lands. More will be revealed about her in future chapters, as well as her connection to Tucker. The relationship will blossom slowly, but surely and with merit. That I promise.
I also had the parents and Tucker be cautious concerning seeing someone from online. I too know the perils and risks of seeing people you have only met online through links such as MSN. I have been lucky so far when I have seen others in the flesh, but it never hurts to be very cautious and ready just in case.
Also, it seems that Samantha had tried her luck to drive a wedge between Danny and his soulmates, but to no avail. Usually, Danny would flounder about while trying to stand up to Sam with little luck. Not so anymore, and it seems that Manson is not going to give up in her quest to try and bring the old Fenton/Phantom back.
Capt. Fester is also making his move towards the United States via sea mammal! Here is the reason why he did what he did; he jumps from host to host, increasing his power by draining the being he possesses entirely of their energy like a real parasite. However, when he ejects himself from the host, he starts to lose energy and he wants to be at full power when he arrives to get Toxic Latch. When he has suitable energy, he will be able to leave the host permanently without losing power or abilities. I also hope that no one bears me ill will of giving the demon the name of a beloved classic character.
And finally, Kitty gets some help from a truly unexpected source… and is now transported back to the distant past to where the Celestial Wars were being waged in the mortal and spiritual world! She will learn about the history of it, and also how the Elemental Keys were made in the first place! And in the process… see the evil version of Dan Phantom go up against an opponent that makes Vertigo look like Box Ghost in comparison!
I will do my best again with this story, as well as to show how the Elemental Keys were made in the first place. I just hope that it's enough to keep you readers hooked onto this.
